I really enjoyed working on the Distinction Project—it was both a fun and valuable learning experience. This project taught me the importance of testing my designs thoroughly and saving all drafts and experiments, as they often lead to unexpected insights. It also highlighted areas where I can continue to improve, which I appreciate.

Many of the graphics I created were directly inspired by the course brief, and I made sure to include my drafts to show the evolution of my ideas.

I’m incredibly grateful to Dan—his teaching has not only guided me through this project but also helped me expand my career goals in design.

For the logo, my concept was to angle two chairs on opposite sides of the association's name to represent a conference setup with two speakers, reinforcing the theme of discussion, collaboration, and connection.

I also used the idea of growth and expansion, the goals of the persona, to design the poster. 

The slogan was created with the idea of antique furniture being timeless and the idea of being timeless in the minds of the customer.

The graphics were a play on the idea of being timeless (the hourglass) and tieing into the theme of the industry of antique furniture so people would easily recognise what the poster is about.
