Next, learn to assemble a dish with confidence and intiuition. You'll practice by following a basic "outline" of a recipe for a filling rice dish, while improvising and customizing based on your tastes and available ingredients. Supplies: salt and pepper, cooking oil, 7-8 of your favorite spices or condiments, a grain or pasta of your choice, digital thermometer, oven thermometer, food scale. Inspired Cooking: Creating Dishes from Art

It's time to get inspired! Follow along as a professional chef concocts a dish inspired by the paintings of Monet, using the colors and textures to inform ingredient selection, preparation technique, and final presentation. You will then create a dish of your own that evokes the essence of a favorite painting.

How To Plate Like a Chef | Beautiful Food

Finally, now that you've learned to create your own dishes through creative inspiration and improvisation, learn how to plate your meals in a way that will please both the eye and the palette. Supplies: 2 spoons, chef's tweezers, small offset spatula, pastry brush, clean squeeze bottles, circle or square cookie cutters, culinary siphon.
