2. Art Supplies: Hey everybody. So
before we start, it is very important to know the correct art
supplies that you will need for this
particular class. Let me give you all the details about the art supplies
that we are going to use. So as usual, that is going to be a simple pencil that I know
everybody must be having. Then we have a simple
still Edge and which we have dimensions in
centimeters and inches, which we are going to use to cut an A5 size sheet into
a perfect square. Now, let us talk about all the brushes that
we're going to use for this particular class that are only going to be three brushes
that we're going to use. So the first one is a simple
flat brush of size 1 ". Then we are having two
detailing brush basically, which are also round brushes. The first one is of size one, and we're going to use this
to add some minute details. The second one is another
round brush outside style. So these are the three brushes that you will need for
this particular class. No need to worry at
all. You can go for any other alternative as well. Then we have a simple
ceramic palette, which have three sections. Basically, it's not compulsory
to have a same palette. You can use any other
good alternative as well. Sorry, the pilot is dirty. Isn't it? Amazing we only need three colors for this
particular painting. The two colors are going
to be black and white, which are bootstrap allows. The center one is
golden acrylic color. No need to worry at
all. In case you do not have a golden acrylic color, you can go for an ocher yellow or a lighter shade of yellow, which is absolutely fine. Only three colors you will need for this particular painting. In case you are a beginner, I would suggest
you can definitely get smaller bottles as well. Then next up we have
a simple glass which I use to hold some water
to clean up the brushes. Then you will need a
tissue paper to dab your brush to remove
excess amount of water from the brush. Next up, we have a
simple masking tape. This masking tape
is of size 1 ". And we are going to use
this masking tape to tape the watercolor paper so that we get an
amazing clean edge. Some basic stationary
is like sharpener and eraser that everybody
must be having. Now comes the most
important part, which is the watercolor paper
that we're going to use, which is 300 GSM. And these are A5 size sheets. These watercolor
papers or from Canson, you can go for any other
good alternative as well. So these are all
the art supplies that you will need for
this particular class. Now without any delay, Let's move towards
the next part.
3. Lets Practice the Elements: Hey everybody. So before
starting the entire painting, it is very important to practice all the elements that we have in this
particular painting. I'll be taking you through every detail, how
you have to start. We have an amazing background, the moon, the front black holes, and the way towards
the snow hail. So here I have a simple
A5 size watercolor paper. And let us start
with the background. I have my one-inch plaid
brush and are going to apply a thin coat of water
on the watercolor paper. As you can see, the water
is a little bit dirty, but it's absolutely fine
because we are going to apply black and it is going
to have a darker shade. Just simply dab your brush
on the tissue paper, take some solid black color and apply it on the top layer. The reason behind applying
a thin coat of water initially was that your
color can spread easily. And this is also known as
a wet on wet technique. Now absorb the color palette. I'm just trying to make
a shade of gray in it. So add some white
to the black color. Now, just below the black color, I have applied a nice cool
dark gray, as you can see. Once we have applied gray
and just simply clean your brush in the
water and dab it on the tissue paper so that you remove access among the proton making dry and try to
blend it with black color. The brushes absolutely dry and we have to blend
it with black so that there is an amazing
ingredient effect between gray and black. Now will be taking solid
white color and we'll be applying it in just
below the grey color. Tried to blend it with the gray shade that we
have applied below black. So now you can
already see we have a nice amazing gradient
effect from black to white. No need to worry a dog, you have to practice this
and as TO and steady manner. Let us paint these snowy hill, which is my favorite
part of the painting. I'll be taking my
round brush of size five and we'll be taking
some solid white color. And the final painting, we
only have one snowy hill. But here, I'm just trying to explain you by painting tools. I've simply taken some
solid white color in my round brush and you just have to make these
little strokes. As you all know, that mountains generally have natural shapes, so no need to worry at all. You can create your
own shapes as well. I have taken a simple
triangular shape, which is a general
form of a mountain. You can create and have
certain variations. You can see I have created
this rough texture. That is because we do not have access amount of
water in the brush. You have to make sure that
you are detailing brush, all your round brush
is dry so that you can get this amazing texture that we're having
with the background. So this will eventually
happen when you will start painting it
with the background. There will be this rough
texture that you will create. Once you apply one coat of y, you can also, again use the
tip of your round brush, which is very pointed, and add this vibrant white on it to show some texture and
depth on the mountain. So I hope that you've got an idea how you have to
paint the snowy hill. No need to worry at all. This is not at all difficult. You have to just practice it before you move towards
the final painting. Now, let us paint the moon, which is not at all
difficult as well. I'm taking my detailing
brush of size one, which is basically
a round brush. I have taken some
solid white and you just have to make
a simple V-shape. Just observe the movement
of my detailing brush. I have just made a C-shape
on the background. And you have to make it
a little bit thicker on the middle portion and
pointed on the edges. So you can see this is how
you can paint the moon. Let me paint it a little bit more so that you can
get an exact idea. Also, it does not talk compulsory
to paint a quarter moon only you can go for a full moon or a half-moon as well
if you wanted to. You can experiment
with the painting. Basically, it's not
at all compulsory to paint it the similar
way I have been doing. We can also create the moon in this particular angle that
I'm painting right now. I have made it in
an angle so that it looks a little bit more
aesthetic and simple. You can use your
detailing brush to paint this beautiful
aesthetic moon. Now let us move towards
the front Hills, which are solid black in color. You can use a simple pencil
to practice and draw them. Again, let me repeat that. Mountains have natural shapes, so no need to worry at
all in case you are not able to paint the similar
way I have painted. You can draw your own natural
shapes and experiment. I haven't given a nice
outline to the mountains. Now I'll be taking
my round brush size and I'll be taking solid
black color in it. Use the tip of your
round brush to get this pointy edges
as you can see. Now once you add the outline, then you can fill in
with a solid color. You can see how beautifully
you can use the brush. You can observe the
movement of the brush. You can also see how
beautifully you can give details by using the tip
of your round brush. And you can create these amazing pointy edges while
the mountains. I would suggest that
you can also create your own natural shapes on the mountains and you can
experiment with the painting. Now let us paint
it. One more time. I have a nice layer
of mountains below. Again, I'm using the
tip of my detail brush. You can see how beautiful
the pointy edges. And then you have to fill
it with solid black color. Between the snowy hill and
the solid black color, we have created a nice
contrast for the painting to make it look a little bit
more elegant and vibrant. Now let us add some
beautiful details and depth, which is also going to be a unique element
for the painting. I'll be using my detailing
brush of size one. I have taken some golden color. In case you are not
having a golden color, you can go for a vibrant
yellow, ocher, yellow. Taken some golden color
in my detailing brush, dab it on the tissue paper so that the brushes absolutely dry. And we'll be creating this beautiful texture
on the mountain. You can see the
solid black color and golden as having
a beautiful contrast. You just have to
create this texture on one particular side only so that you can create a
3D effect for the mountain. So you can see I'm just
creating the effect on the left side of the mountain. You can create it
on any last night, but I have created
it on the left side. Let me repeat it on
the mountains as well. This is not at all difficult. You just have to
tap your brush on the mountains this way and are very random and natural way. Just make sure that you do
not completely covered it. You just have to apply
it on any either of the sides tied to give this amazing 3D
effect. In this way. This is how the mountains
get enhanced and get more details. Let me label it. I just loved to label
my practice sheets. Also, this creates
a nice sense of satisfaction when we tried
to create any painting. And it will be also very helpful for your art
journaling as well. I've just given some
basic labelings for all what we have
painted right now. Now, let us move towards
the last element, which is the pathway. And this is not difficult. You have to use the same
detailing brush of size one, clean it because we
have used golden in it. I'll be taking some
solid white color. Now can you Andy dealing rush, we have some nice
solid white color. You just have to
apply it in between the two mountains that we
are going to have in black. And you just have to make these little horizontal strokes. No need to create
a perfect path. It has to be a little bit
blurry and a little bit rough. I have just created some
simple horizontal strokes. You can apply solid
white color so that it can get a little
bit more vibrant. Here, I have painted
it on aggression, but in the final painting we are going to have it
on the blockchain. So no need to worry about that. Let me also show you this
and Black Hill as well. You can see you
just have to make these little
horizontal strokes and an angle so that it looks like a pathway in a perspective. We are done. That'll be now just giving you an example of how you can use the tip of your round brush to create
these pointy strokes. Just take some black color and practice this beautiful strokes so that you can get
an idea how you can use the tip of your
detailing brush. So by creating these
little strokes, you'll find it very helpful while painting
the mountain area. This is the entire practice
session and we have painted all the
elements that you will need in the final painting. Before starting the
final painting, it would be really
great if you practice all the elements and then come towards
the final painting.
4. Lets Cut the Paper: Hey everybody. Now let us cut the paper. Before coming towards the final painting
we are going to cut. And if I size watercolor paper sheet
into a perfect square, here I have my steel edge, which is having dimensions
in centimeters and inches. So we're just going to use
the vertical dimension, which is basically 15
cm, as you can see. On the horizontal side, we are also going to
make 15 centimeter mark. So just simply place your steel edge and this
horizontal direction. Try to match it with
your watercolor paper. Try to have it in a bad way so that there
isn't any mistake. Just simply take the reading
0-15 cm, make a mark. Now let us make one
more mark so that we can get a parallel line. Again, I'll be
placing my steel edge parallel to the paper
edge and I'll be marking 0-15 cm. No need
to worry at all. This is very easy and simple. I have just taken two points at 15 cm from the paper edge. Now I'll be drawing a
simple vertical line. So I have got two points. Just place your steel edge
in this vertical manner. Draw a simple vertical line. We'll be cutting
the remaining part so that we get a perfect square. For the final painting. I'll be using a simple scissors to cut the remaining part. Just follow the line and be very much careful
while cutting the watercolor paper so that
you do not spoil the paper. Tried to cut on the line exactly so that you can
get a perfect square. And we're done. You can see we have got the final
paper and above x squared. Now, let us move
towards the next part.
5. Lets Tape the Paper: Hey everybody. Now let us take the
watercolor paper for the final painting. As you can see, we have our exact square
watercolor paper ready, and here is my 1 "
masking tape will be placing the masking tape on the edges of the
watercolor paper. So that once we are done
with the final painting, and when we remove this item, you get an amazing white border
for the entire painting. You just have to take
the masking tape and you have to place
it in a perfect way. Try to match it with
the paper edge. Tried to keep the masking tape parallel to the paper edge, keeps some part of the
masking tape on the people and some on the dial according
to your requirement. I just want a thin
white line as Varda. So I have kept least some part of the masking tape on
the watercolor paper. Just make sure that your
masking tape is parallel with the paper edge so that there
isn't any irregular line. Tap your finger or your thumb on the masking tape carefully so that it gets completely stuck with
the watercolor paper. It will be placing one more
day on the right side. And you can see I'm just
placing my thumb and finger so that it
gets completely stuck with the
watercolor paper and the background surface
that you are using. Now we have the last edge
which is on the left side. That'll be placing
my masking tape. And you can see we are
done with the tape. So this is how you have to
tape your watercolor paper. And then we are good to go and we can start with the painting. I hope that you've
got an exact idea how we have to place
your masking tape. Be very much careful, no
need to hurry a doll. And let's move towards
the next part.
6. Lets Paint the Background: Hey everybody. So we are going to
paint the background and we're finally starting
with the final painting. So as you can see,
my watercolor paper is ready with the slight tip. I have a simple glass
with clean water, my color palette, and we're
going to use black and white. We only need these
two colors to create. The background will be starting
with solid black color. But initially we have to apply a nice thin coat of
water in the background. I'll be using my flat
brush of one age. Now before coming towards
the final painting, let me show you the shade on this remaining part of the
paper that we have cotton. So just apply a thin
coat of water initially, this is basically
known as a wet on wet technique so that your
color can spread easily. Now we'll be applying
solid black color on it so you can see how
beautifully it spreads. And it will also be moist. Before we apply another
layer of the color, we are going to start
with solid black color. Now simply take your flat
brush and clean it and water. We are going to apply a thin
coat of water initially, that's why I have just removed the axis amount of
black color in it. No need to worry at all
in case you all water, There's a little bit dirty also, it's absolutely fine because the background is
in a darker tone. So stand up lying these
horizontal strokes from above to bottom portion or any of the ways you'll
find it convenient. We just have to apply a PIN code of water and then even tone. Also make sure that there
are no water pools and between the code should be evenly spreaded and then
die watercolor paper. So as you can see, I have given a nice thin coat of water in
the entire watercolor paper. And this is basically known as a wet on wet
technique so that your collagen spread in even
tone and perfect manner. Now, in my flat brush, I'm going to take
solid black color as I have shown you on
the scrape off paper. And we're going to apply
it on the top layer. Since we are going to create the gradient effect
from top to bottom. That is going to come from
black to white shade. As you can see, I have applied
a nice horizontal stroke. You can observe the
movement of my flat brush. Similarly, you have to
move your flat brush. So it is a solid black
color and you can already see a nice spread
on the bottom part. No need to hurry a dog. Take your time and
paint it carefully, make sure that there is
no space left between the masking tape and
the watercolor paper. Now we'll be creating
a nice shade of gray. I'll be adding some white
to the black color. You can observe
the color palette. No need to worry at
all in case you're not able to make
the exact shade. It is absolutely fine. This is a painting, so no need to take
it that seriously. You can see we have
created a nice gray tone. Always check it on JavaScript pulp paper if you're not that much confident enough to apply
it on the final painting. I do that always. I have applied a nice gray tone just below the black shade. You can see the movement
of my flat brush. I'm applying these beautiful
horizontal strokes. So we have almost
covered the paper and we have kept some space
for the white shade. I'll be dabbing my brush to remove access amount of
mortar and make it dry. And you can just
blend the two shades, the solid black color on the top part and degrees
hit on the bottom part. You can just observe how
I'm moving my flat brush. Now I'll be taking some
solid white color. As you can see, I have
added it in the gray shade. Only. Just simply take some
nice solid white color and we're going to apply it on the bottom part,
which is remaining. So let us create that shade
also ended up scrap of paper. Let's check it. A little bit gray in shale, which is absolutely fine. And you can apply it
on the bottom part. As you can see, I'm just making these beautiful
horizontal strokes, blending it with the
gray shade above. And make sure that there is no space left between
the masking tape and the watercolor paper so that you can get a
perfect edge value. Remove the site team. So you just have to simply
have some patients and make a nice gradient effect
will be blending the gray shade above and the British shade that we
have applied in below. Just clean up your
brush and water, dab it on the tissue paper to remove access amount of water. Now will be making it completely dry so that we can
blend it together. I have cleaned my flat brush, as you can see that with
carefully on the tissue paper, make sure that there is
no water in between. I will be making, again be horizontal strokes to blend it. As you can see, the dry brush will basically help you to
blend the colors together. No need to hurry at all. Keep some patients and
do it in case you're non-black much confident enough to come towards the
final painting. You can practice it on a
rough scrape off people first and then come towards
the final painting. Now you can observe
that we have created a nice gradient background
from black to white chain. Now let's move towards
the next part.
7. Painting the Snow Hill: Hey everybody. So now let us paint
does no Hill, which is going to
be absolutely fun. So we're going to use white poster color to
paint the entire snow. And I hope that you are ready with your gradient background. I'll be using my round
brush of size five. And as you can see,
we're just starting it. We just have to use the
tip of your round brush, which is also basically
a detailing brush. Don't need to worry at
all and no need to hurry. Just simply tried to create
this triangular shape. As you all know,
that mountains are generally having
a natural shape, which you can create
by yourself as well. So it's not necessary to create a single
triangular shape. You can also create
multiple hills using this. So I have given a
basic outline and now we'll be filling it
with complete white color. So you can see already
there are patches which is forming a nice texture
and then tire snowy hill. Now one thing that I want
all of you to take care of is that we haven't taken
any water in the brush. So you can see it has
only color and it is creating a nice natural
texture on the paper. So it also gives that nice
snowy look to the mountain. And it gives you a nice
rough texture value. Move your brush. It
can come eventually. So no need to worry in
case you are not that much confident enough to paint
on the final painting, you can definitely practice
it on adapt scrap of paper first and then you can come
towards your final painting. I'm just trying to
enhance by giving some solid white color
on the left area. As you can see, you just have to create these natural patches. And only to worry,
this is going to be absolutely in a random way. No need to worry that
you're not able to paint it in the same
way I have painted. You can create your
own natural shapes and natural textures as well. Let's try to make it look
a little bit more natural. And in case you
make any mistake, that is also absolutely fine. You can cover it up by adding some more
white color on it. So you can see how beautiful
the **** is looking. So I'll be adding
some more vibrant, bright color to make it a
little bit more attractive. On the tip, we are adding a little bit of
solid white color. And I'll be using my brush tip, which is pointing to can see how beautiful the
texture is looking. And also one more thing that
you can observe is that we have wind complete
the entire snowy hill. We are going to have
black holes in the front, so you just have to
paint it in this form. Also between the gradient
background and the snowy hill, that is an amazing contrast. And the snow is getting
really nice enhancement. You can see, I'm just trying to extend that a little bit
towards the bottom area. And we are almost done
painting does no ****, I'm just adding a
little bit of white. As you can see, this is absolutely
natural form of painting. And now let us move
towards the next part.
8. Painting the Front Hill: Hey everybody. So now we are going to paint the front ****, which is absolutely
black and color. And we're also going to add
some amazing details to it. So here I have my round
brush again of size five, and we'll be taking
some solid black color, as you can observe
in my color palette. To try to add some water to your solid black
color so that you can move your detailing brush carefully and in
a smooth manner. We will be starting
from the left area. And you can see I'll be using
the tip of my round brush so that I can give a nice
pointy edges to my mountains. In the front. Again, I'll be telling you, we are going to create
these natural shapes. Only. No need to worry
at all in case you are not able to paint it in
the same way I have painted. It is absolutely fine
Since mountains will be having definitely
unnatural shape. Let me add some
more water so that my brush can move a
little bit more smoother. I'll be finishing
the remaining part of the mountain on the
right area as well. We are almost done giving the outline for the
Black Mountain. Now we'll be filling it
with solid black color. Slowly take your round brush and add some solid
black color in it. And added towards
the bottom area. You just have to fill it
with solid black color. No need to worry at all. Do it very slowly. Make sure that there isn't
any space left between the masking tape and the
watercolor paper that will not look nice while we remove this item will be also giving solid black
color and the middle area. So as you can see and observe the movement of my round brush, I'm moving it in a
similar direction so that it will give you a nice matte texture
when it dries up and water accordingly. But make sure that you do not
add excess amount of water. That will make your
dark black tone a little bit lighter in shade. We very much careful while painting towards
the bottom area. And as you can see, I'm
not leaving any space between the masking tape
and my watercolor paper. And you can observe the
movement of my brush. And we are almost done painting
the entire black color. This is how we have
painted the front hill. So the difference
between the snow hail and the front heel is
at the front here, is going to be darker in
shade, which is solid black. And there's no ****
we have painted absolutely right to enhance it. And you can see the
contrast between them. It looks beautiful. Now I'll be taking the tip of my round brush which
is very pointed to, can add this particular
point at the **** texture. Or we can say pointed shape to the frontal carefully by
losing your detailing brush. In case you're not that much confident enough to
the final painting, you can practice it on a
rough scrap of paper first. Then you can come towards
the final painting. And we're done painting
the frontiers. Now let us move
towards the next part.
9. Painting the Path: Hey everybody. So now we'll be
painting the path, which is basically the
way to this little hill, which is going to be
absolutely easy and fun. And you'll be also observing a very nice technique
using the detailing brush. I have my dating rush of size one and then
my color palette. I have taken some
solid white color, dab it on the tissue paper. Make sure that there
isn't access amount of colonial brash and there
isn't any water in the brush. Using the detailing runs, you just have to mean these
little horizontal strokes. Those strokes are moving
towards the left area for us. And as we move towards the left, atria will be just
increasing the size of the horizontal strokes.
No need to worry at all. Do it very slowly and
in a very calm way. Now from the left
area will be moving towards a little bit on the right side so that it looks like a bat and a
ball effective way. So we just have to create this
blurry texture initially. So for that we are just
taking color only. There shouldn't be any water. Now, I'll be moving a little
bit towards the right area. You can see we have
created a nice angle which shows a nice path
towards the small hill. Now while moving
towards the right area, you can also increase the size of your
horizontal strokes. No need to worry at all.
You have to do it in a very natural and random
way and just try to make your horizontal strokes
a little bit more perfect. We're almost done
painting the entire path. Let's enhance it by adding a
little bit of solid white. Now, as I move towards
the outer area, I wouldn't be making the
path a little bit more. The horizontal strokes
are looking really beautiful and the part
is getting enhanced. So this is how you have to
play with the white color. And you can see
the bot is getting a nice contrast with
the black background. No need to worry at all in
case you are not that much confident enough to paint
it on the final painting. You can practice it on
a rough scrap of paper first and then you can come
towards the final painting. We are almost done painting
the way to the snowy hill. You can add as much as
details as you want to. You can enhance the path by adding some more solid
white color as well. So we are almost done
painting the path. Now, let us move
towards the next part.
10. Adding Details: Hey everybody. So now let us add some beautiful details to the front mountain that
we have painted in black. So here I have my golden color. And in case you do not
have a golden color, you can use an ocher. Yellow are as simple, vibrant yellow as well. So we'll be taking
some golden color and the gap on the
tube basically. And I'll be taking it
in my color palette. So as you can see, we have taken a little bit of golden
color in the color palette, and I'll be dabbing it
in tissue paper as well, because we do not want
it to be that much vibrant and we just have to
enhance the Black Hills. I'll be using my detailing
brush of size one to paint the details and
the Black Mountains. We'll be starting by adding the beautiful
color to the point. What we have to do is
just simply start to enhance the hose by adding
this rough strokes. On the left side, you can choose any either
side of the mountains, but only one side has to
be enhanced so that it looks a little bit more 3D
and have a nice 3D texture. So whenever I'm
finding pointy hoods, I'll be just adding the
golden effect towards it. And this is not
at all difficult. I'll be using the point
of my detailing brush, which is very pointed so that I can add some more
details using it. You just have to match it. As you can see, we have enhanced the left portion of the hills and the right portion
is completely black. Now using the same techniques, what we are going to
do is we are going to enhance the hills on the
right portion as well. You just have to simply add this golden texture on the
left of the point D hills. And you can also move
your detailing brush and random direction and the lower parts so that you can enhance the black
a little bit more. So again, I'll be
repeating the same thing. Mountains will be
having natural texture. So no need to worry,
you can create your own natural shapes as well. We are almost done adding the
details and you can see how beautiful the detail looks
on the Black Mountain. Now let us move towards the
final and the last part.
11. Painting the Moon: Hey everybody, We are almost
done with the painting now, let us paint the moon, which is the final and the last element for
the entire painting. I'll be using my detailing
brush of size one, and I have taken solid white
color and my color palette. As you can see, the
entire painting is ready and the moon is going
to be a very amazing element, which is going to add some
value to the painting. I've taken some solid
white color and my detail brush and we'll
be painting the moon. Be very much careful
while doing this because we have a gradient background, which is the darker tone. The moon is going to
be absolutely right. So simply use the tip of your detailing brush to
make a C-shape initially. Now once you are done with the C-shaped want you
are going to do is just try to make this
issue a little bit thicker. In the middle area. Has to be pointed
towards the tips. So no need to worry at all. You just have to use your
detailing brush very carefully. It will help you to
make the tips pointed. Since the detailing brush
as having a pointy edge. And you just have
to fill solid color and between area of the moon, which is going to be
a little bit thicker. So you can see how beautiful
the moon as looking. And no need to worry
at all in case you do not have that much confidence to paint the vibrant white moon on the solid black background. What you can do it, you can
practice it on and off, scrape off PayPal fast. And then you can come
towards the final painting. Or else you can use your pencil, draw the moon, and then
fill in love white color. We are done with the
entire painting, and I'm very satisfied
with the entire painting. Now, let us remove
the tape carefully. Be very much careful
while you remove the site team tried to remove the side tip and an
angle so that you do not end up tearing your
precious painting. You can see how beautiful
the white edges are looking. And that's why it is very
important to place your site dates carefully with
your watercolor paper. Now let me remove
the last tape also. And trust me, this is the
most satisfying part. Once you're done with
your final painting. As you can see, the
entire painting is ready. Let me take you a
little bit closer. You can see the details. You can see the pathway
that's normally held, the moon, the
gradient background. And I'm so happy to share this entire painting
with all of you. I hope that you have
enjoyed painting this particular painting and
got to learn something new. Keep practicing and
happy painting.
