1. Introduction: everybody. Welcome back. For those of you who may be tuning in for the first time, my name is Chianti Bills. I am a R and B singer from North Preston, Nova Scotia, the largest all black community in Canada. I am a multi award winning artist, and I have been performing since about the age of 67 already. So now that we got that covered, I just want to take you through my secret tips and tricks that I use every day as a singer before I perform just to kind of get my throat better from sickness or or to a voice sickness, all of those things. So I want to teach you. All of those things were gonna go through each one. I hope this helps you guys. I've learned a lot of these tips and tricks from different artists here and there from all across the world. So I've been able to adopt some of these and and they've been with me for years to come. So I hope that some of these work for you guys and whichever one's work best for you, you can adopt as well, and I'm use them in your every day singing aspirations. Oh, and just a disclaimer or whatever. Whatever. All of my tricks and remedies are natural on natural. So they are all gonna be healthy for your voice and and not damage your voice So but the further dude, let's get into the video. 2. No More Throat Infections: all right. So gnome, or throat infection as singers is always a hassle to keep your vocal cords and your voice healthy, which can be tricky when you have a lot of family members or, you know, you run into human interaction every day. That could be a hassle because somebody maybe sick or, you know you make find that friend or family member who you know you're the loudest around and you start yelling, laughing and chuckling a lot, and that becomes, you know, harsh on your vocal cords. But be where I have a solution. So I have a special mix that I've learned online. I want to remember his name, but it escapes me. It's a special mix, and it will get rid of any any infection that you may feel coming on. And again, you will be able to recognize some signs of infections or whatever the case that may be growing in your throat. I'm just by getting to know your own body in your own voice. But using this remedy will have your voice and the infection clear at least at least 48 hours later after taking this. And so this one is one that I use all the time. I promise he was gonna be absolutely amazing. Anybody else? I have given this remedy too. He has worked times 10. You're definitely gonna want to have this one in your back pocket. So here are the ingredients. I am going to also put the ingredients to this remedy or any other remedies they may have in this video down below in the class description. That will make it easier for you guys to follow along. So I'm It's one tablespoon of paprika, one clove of freshly chopped garlic. Okay, You want to chop this guy like yourself? You wanted to be in his form and and you chop it yourself and then a few tablespoons of honey, and that's that's your choice. You can use how much money you want to use. It's just based off cased. So the honey is there for the taste. Of course, it has some healing properties for your throat, but you're gonna want to use quite a bit of it because there's a kick on the taste and, um, trust me. So what you want to do is take 1/2 a teaspoon of the mixture every single hour. So at the top of every hour, it's amazing it's gonna hear your voice is going to clear the infection. When you take the remedy, you will feel it kind of burning down your throat. That means it's working and it is amazing. It's incredible. It will have your voice sounding brand spanking new, I promise you. So you can also take this on show day so days that you may have a show coming and you know you have an infection. You're trying to clear it away. You can take this on show days. You could take this before you sing. It's completely healthy to do so. I have in and it really just gives your voice or your throat an extra coat layer of strength in those times, especially, and Aso this is gonna be amazing already, so let's get into the next 3. Water, Water & More Water: water, water and more water. Water is so great for you. I mean, I drink about a gallon of water. Honestly, sometimes more than that, every single date, besides the obvious health benefits that Waters has the treatable water that a lot of vocalists don't know is just how much it really lubricates and and strengthens your throat in your voice and your vocal cords. But sometimes we have those days. We all have those days where our voices just tired. It's just exhausted. We've been using it so much that it doesn't matter how much care and attention we give it. It just doesn't come out the way we please. But with this remedy you'll be, you'll be you'll know at least your limitations for that day. So all performance days, I definitely drink over a gallon of water and T m I A warning by P a lot. So what people don't know is that when you pee U P throughout the day after drinking all this water on performance days are even before performance days. Your P gets clearer and clearer, so the more clear the better. Once it is just as clear as water. That's already in the toilet. Then you know that your voice is at its full capacity for that day. So it doesn't mean that it's the best has ever been. But maybe it's not so, so great. But at least you know your limitations. So that so that when you go to sing, you don't know. Okay, I know I can hit this note, or I know I can't hit this note, so I know I'm gonna have to improvise. It just kind of gives you that layer of safety to know, Okay, Chianti or whomever. This is my limitations for this day. And so now I'm I have a a blanket of security to know what I can do when I can't do this. One is so, so useful. So many people don't know about it. And it's just incredibly crazy, but it's it's amazing. 4. Yawn Sigh: All right, so the next one is a young side and we spoke about this one in the last warmup video. But the young inside the on site is so, so, so important. The young side is one that's going to open up your throat and prepare you for singing. So even while drinking all those tons of tons and tons of water or those remedies that I have given you so far, you on site is beyond one off the most important ones this one is going to open up your throat is gonna allow you to breathe properly. It's gonna allow you to really let your full voice your four unique voice and just kind of do your thing, do exactly what you were born to do. So this one is is smacked in the middle for me when it comes to things that I do to make sure that my voice is ready for a performance 5. Vocal Stew: all right, so vocal stewed. This is what I call it is called a vocal stoop. They invite me, and basically what it is is It's a green tea, ginger and honey mixture and water, of course. So these are key ingredients that strengthen the voice that will open up your voice, open up your throat and allow you to perform at whatever full capacity that you may have for that date and loosened your core is a strengthened divorce, not to mention that is really just a tasty beverage to drink on this hot drink. I must say something else cool about this is it actually can use to clear your nose and times that you may be sick. So as the the mixture is boiling over the pot, you definitely don't want to touch the pot first of all, but you kind of just can lean over the pot a little bit and take some deep breaths and you'll feel it going through your lungs, the steam and everything going through your lungs and just kind of clear in your nose. If I promise you it works every single time. Once you get assigned, the fresh air kinda is like the icing on the cake. You'll be ready to go 6. The Slip N Slide Method: Okay, Now, this one is the slip and slide method. You'll you'll know why I call it that once I start to explain to you. So this one is when I actually learned in high school from the older vocalist from my community North President. This one is not one that I use as often, but it definitely works. I have tried it, and it definitely works. And you just have to execute it, right? And you gotta know what you're doing, because it can become tricky. So this one is pretty straight forward. Basically, you get maybe a tablespoon of oil and you put it in a cup. So this will be cooking oil, of course, safe and you gargle it. You goggle that oil, you know, in your throat and you spit it out. You can do this maybe three times divided up, so that would be three times. You will have your vocal cords kind of slipping and sliding off of one another, and it's really good. But the problem that it created, the reason why I don't do it all the time is that if you get it on your clothes, it was it's gonna stain is gonna make it hard to come out. So if you're gonna do this one, make sure that you're doing it before you put your performance clothes on. I can tell you stories where I was about to perform and I would do it and I would go to spit the, um, oil haute and it will go all over my top head perform with a top covered in oil these days that I was not good. So just trust me. This one is beautiful. It's amazing. It really works, but it's it's a trick to it as well. 7. Conclusion: All right. So, in conclusion, I hope that all of these different tips and tricks and remedies can help you get to your destination of domination of your own voice. Take some of these tips and tricks and implement them into your regular routine. Let me know which one's right for you. Let me know which ones that you like the most.
