1. Welcome to this Course!: AI is everywhere, and of course, graphic design is no exception. Sometimes it's really hard
to know where to start. What models do you use
for making pictures? What do you use for text? In this course, I want
to take you through some different models
using Express and Firefly. But we won't just
use the Firefly AI. We will also go into some of
the other models out there. Hi. My name is Tim Wilson. I live on a boat with Ali and FujiuKat and we travel the canals around
London in the UK. I would love to show you how
to use AI in Adobe Express. Not only have I trained for some of the world's
leading companies, including Disney,
BBC, Nissan, Nikon. But I've also worked as university lecturer in the
graphic design department, so I know how to give
you the perfect course. In this course, we'll
be covering using AI not just for text
or for pictures, but for video effects as well, and we'll actually get the
AI to write a prompt for us, so you don't even have to worry about getting
the prompt correct. There's so many
things that you can love about using
AI because you can use your own creativity
and mix it with the AI and create something
absolutely incredible. You'll have seen some of the amazing things
that we're going to be doing popping up over here
as I've been speaking, and I know you're
going to thoroughly enjoy this course and
create some amazing work. What are you waiting
for? Start right now. I can't wait to
help you to create amazing graphic
design work using AI.
2. Finding Your Way Around - Intro: In this section, what we're going to do is we're
going to look at the interface and how to find your way around Adobe Express. Now, of course, you might have done the
previous course that I've done of Adobe Express
from start to finish, or, of course, you might
be using Express already. In which case, you probably
don't need this section. So if that's the case, jump into the next
section straightaway. If you're not sure
about Express, keep watching. Let's go.
3. Interface: Now, before we jump
into using Express, for those of you who
haven't used it before, I'd like to give
you a little tour of the interface so you
know where things are, and more importantly, how to get back when you've gone
somewhere that you think, Oh, my goodness, I'm a bit lost. Anyway, when you first start out with Adobe Express, it
looks something like this. And I say something like this because it changes all the time. Adobe add in new features and they'll pop up
over here as well. So if yours doesn't
look exactly the same, don't worry about it. I'll show you where
everything is. Now, at the top, we've got to create anything
quickly and easily. Those are some shortcuts
to getting started with your content or generating AI that we'll get into later on. Then over here,
we've got more quick editing tools further down, we've got blank canvases. We're going to be using
this quite a lot. Then there's guided
help creation and templates down there, all sorts of other bits and pieces that Adobe
think you might like. Now, on the left hand side, we've got these well, I'd like to call them tools, but they're more shortcuts
to little panels. So if you click on them, a little panel will pop up. And along the top, we've
got another menu as well, and right over here, there's more shortcuts to
other Adobe areas. But let me just open up
something very quickly. So I'm going to go
to the blank Canvas. I'm going to click on
Instagram Portrait Post, and what it'll do is
it'll just make me an Instagram portrait
post very quickly. All it's done it's
made the page. But you can see over
here some templates come well, I don't want those. If I want to make something,
I want to make it myself rather than using
somebody else's template, so I might just close them down. And then once again, things have changed slightly
from the initial window. We've got a slightly different it's not really a
menu because these are our little panels along
the top and panels over here. So, for example, if I clicked on something like the
elements because I want to put an element in
it opens up a panel for me over here and shows me all the elements that I can use. Not only that, I could
say, Well, you know what? I would like to actually
go along to the shapes, and I want to view
all the shapes. So it's taken me
into the shapes. But how do I get back to
all those elements again? Well, it's because over here, you can actually just flick
through the different areas. So you can either go
up and down or you can go left and right in there. Watch out for these
little icons over here. It's easy to get lost and you
think, Where on Earth am I? You just click over there
to come back again. So wherever you go,
whatever you're doing here, you can just click over there. And when you've added
something, then once again, this area will change for you and you'll see
if you add animations, you might get
another little area down here to animate in. But I can close those down. I can go to any of the
other options in here. But what about if I didn't
really want to create this? I want to go back
to my main area, that initial window or home. Well, if you just
go to the top to the little Adobe Express
icon and click on that, that will take you back
to this home area. You'll see there's also a
home button over there. They don't have that once you get into the
document itself. Now, Adobe like to give you three ways
of doing everything. So although we can
do things from here, we can also click
on the little plus, and it says, Oh, you
want to get started. So there are different
areas that we can go to for things like video, photos, documents, prints,
web, websites, et cetera. I'm going to close
that one down. The most important thing to
know here is if you get lost, you can always go back
to the little icon. Now, anything you've been
working on will appear down here in the recent
at the very bottom, and I could view all of those, and you can see
everything that I've been working on in there. If you've created
something you think, I really don't want that, we'll just go up to
the three little dots in your stuff because
that's where we're in. We're actually in
your stuff there. Click on those dots and
you can just delete it. And that's it. It's now gone. If you can't see these recent
items along the bottom, just go along to your
stuff over there, and that will take you into
the same area once again. All of these little
documents that you're creating are all
stored on the cloud, so you don't need to worry
about saving as you go along. They will automatically save
to your Adobe Cloud space. Try it out, have
a bit of a play, and then if you already know this and you've just watched to see
what it's about, move on to the next video. A
4. Using AI in Express + Non Firefly Models: Now, when it comes to
using AI in Express, we're going to be using it
for a number of things. First of all, we're going to be generating images with AI, and we will be using Firefly and a number
of other models. We'll also use text to Well, we'll also use AI
to adjust our text, and we'll also go out
and use hat GPT to generate ideas for our
different social media posts. Now, when it comes to Adobe, Adobe have their own model. So this is called Firefly. So if you bit confused
with what is firefly, Firefly is a model
or an AI model. Like think in terms of hat GPT or Gemini,
those type of things. The difference between Firefly and the other ones are that Firefly are trained exclusively
with Adobe's images, images that they
own the copyright to or they license
from photographers, and also any other images
which are royalty free. This is unlike the
other models which train on anything they
can scrape from the web. At the moment, everything
seems to be okay, but who knows what'll happen in the future with legal issues. So why doesn't everybody use Firefly because
it's so moral? Well, it's because it's not
as good as the other ones. It's trained on a much
smaller database of images. So the images that it creates
are not always that great. Some of them are very good, but sometimes you might
want to use the others. So how do we
incorporate this sin? Well, for example, I've got a generate
with AI button there, and I can just say
generate an image and you get an image prompt over here, and it'll pop the
image over there. But this is the
interesting part. Adobe realized that firefly is not as good as some of the
others for certain things. So they give you the
option to choose any of the non firefly
models over here. So you could use flash
2.5, it's nanobanana. You could use Open AI. Ha GIPT in here. Now, there's also, as I said, a way of bringing in text
and using text with an NAI. Once again, we'll be doing
all these things later. But if I go to the
text over here, I'll say add my text. I'm just going to
make it a lot smaller over there and paste
some text in there. Like so. Then you've got a
rewrite option in there. And once again, if
I click on this, this is kind of like hat GPT, where you can get it to
rephrase it, shorten it, lengthen it with just some simple little buttons in there. Sometimes it's easier
to do it in chat GBT in a separate window, browse window, and then copy
and paste it into Express. Anyway, if you want to have
a very quick look at those, and then we're going to move
on to the next section.
5. AI Models - Intro: In this section,
we're going to be looking at different models, so that you can see how
different models give you different results
where you're creating images as well as text. So there's lots and lots of AI stuff to do in here.
Let's get started.
6. Use Generative AI - Firefly with Reference: Now, let's start off by creating something
with a blank canvas. And we're going to do
an Instagram post. I'm going to use this
portrait post over there. So just scroll down to
the blank canvas area, and we'll click on that. Now, I'm going to do everything with AI for
this particular post. I'm going to have a background. I'm going to bring an image
or two into the background, and I'm going to have some text. And we're going to start off with the background
because what I want to do the thought that
I had for this is a silly little post
about how having a cup of tea is as good as
having a holiday in the sun. So what I'm going to do
is I'm going to start off by going along and creating an image over
here for my background. And I want that image to be a sort of a sunny type of scene. I like it to be a
beach scene, actually, and I've got an
idea that I want to be looking down on the beach. So I'm going to go
along to generative AI. That's this little button
on the left hand side here. Doesn't matter that this is up, you can close it
down if you want, but click on Generative AI. And over here, we're going
to say generate an image. Now, you can generate
an image, video, templates or text effects, not text as such. The There's another
way of doing the text. But I'm going to
say generate image, and I'm going to
choose portrait. Now let's just make this large because this is going to be
big. I like the background. And I want to have a
beach scene in here. So straightaway, I go up
to the left hand side, and I need to choose a model. Now, we're going
to have a look at a few models here and to see how they generate
things differently. And what I'm going to
do is I'm going to put in my prompt now, the prompt that I've put in says generate an image
of a beach scene, seen from above the sea,
sorry, seen from above. The sea is to be stunning blue
and the sand golden brown. So I want this sort of bird's
eye view of the beach. Now, if I were to just click
on Generate at the moment, I won't do anything else,
just make sure that's on photo because I want
this to be photographic. I'll click on Generate and just wait a few moments
and see what happens. Well, there we have it. You can see it's given us some images of
beaches from above, but I'm after something a
little bit more specific because these have got
too much detail in them. So what I've done is I've
actually gone along, and I've found the type
of image that I want. So I've found the
style of image. You can see there's
a style there and the composition method. Now, have a look at these. I'll show you the
pictures that I found. I found this one over here. And that's sort of the
colors that I like, the sort of the
style that I like, and this one is the
composition I like where it's looking directly
down on the beach. So I'm going to use
those two images and tell it this is the style and the composition
that I'd like. So I'll go back in here again. I'll click on the style and
let me go and find the style, which was this one here. Those images come from
Unsplash, by the way. And composition I'll click on that and we'll
find the composition. If you've never used Unsplash, it's a picture library with a lot of free
images on there. I tend to use it quite a lot. So, it's great for free images, but it's also great for
reference like this. Once again, I've got
exactly the same prompt. I've got the word
photo in there, and I'll click on Generate and we'll see what happens now. Oh, look at that.
That's so much nicer. This is the sort of thing
that I had in mind. I was thinking about
it first. So it's use that composition in there. Absolutely brilliant.
I'm going to stop there. If you'd like to
have a bit of a go without using the
generative image, I've included the two
images over here that I've used with the assets
from this course. So you can use them.
Or you can go and find your own images as well. As I said, I use unsplash.com. There's another one
called Pixabay, also, freeimages on there, or you can use Adobe stock, and you can click on the free option in there
to get free images. Otherwise, they
cost quite a lot. Have a bit of a go with that.
7. Use Gemini and Open AI: Now let's have a look at
what the other models do. I'm just going to move
this over to the side for a bit and go and do another one. So over here, generative
AI generate image, once again, portrait,
we just make this a reasonable size. And I've copied that bit
of text I had before, so I can just paste
it straight in again. So it's exactly the same text. But let's see how
Gemini gets on. And once again, you can choose a reference
image if you want. I'll go with that same
reference image that I had over there,
which is that one. I have told it to
look from the top down and we'll generate this
one and see what happens. Now, Firefly is very good
at certain types of images. Beaches, it's great at, because there's so
many pictures of beaches in Adobe stock. So it's got a lot of very,
very high quality reference. Some of the other
things which are not quite so popular in stock, you'll find it's not so good at because it hasn't
learned quite so well. That's interesting. It's not the idea that I
had looking down on it, but it's an interesting option. Let's see what happens if we
try something like Open AI. And once again, we'll
click on Generate. By the way, you'll
find over here, you can add and you can
remove these models. You can see over
there we've got flux, which I haven't added
in at the moment. So I'm just going
to go with Open AI, click on Generate and see what
it can do with this image. Oh, that's interesting.
It doesn't really have the colors
that I'm after, but it's more of the type
of image that I wanted. Now, I'm going to go with
that original one over there, but just remember, if
you're putting in a prompt, try to be as exact as you like. So, for example, if I'm not getting the sort of
image I want, saying, generate an image of the
beach seen from above, what I might need to do is to say seen directly from above. So be a bit more specific about where I'm looking down on. Anyway, have a go with some of the other models and see
what you can get from them.
8. Adjust Your Image - Brightness & Color: Even if you've created
something with AI, you can still do
some adjustments. I'm going to click on the image. I've gone back to my
original one from Firefly, by the way, and over here, this image option comes up. So remember, if you can't
see any of this over here, when you click on your image, it should bring up the
image options on the left. Now, I'm going to
click on adjust, and there's so many things
that I can adjust in here. First of all, the contrast, so I could make it a
lot more contrasty, sort of lightening up the whites over there and darkening
down the darks of the sea. I can brighten the whole image, or I can darken the
whole image down. Can change just the
highlights, the lighter areas. You can see I can just affect
those highlight areas, and I can affect just the
darker areas over there, which is the sea. What I'm going to do is I'm going to increase
the saturation, the vibrance of those colors. You can see it's
really over the top, but just a little bit
of vibrance we'll give them a little
bit more. Um, mph. And then the warmth, I can make this much warmer so yellow, or I can make it
cooler, which is blue. I'm just going to add just a little bit of warmth in there. Be careful adding
too much yellow. Your blues are going to
obviously go green in there. So I'll just add a little bit
of warmth on there to get that really lovely
sunny type of feel. And that's it. I'm done over there. I'm going to go
back again to here. So if you like to just
have a bit of a go and adjust your image a
little bit to well, bring out the detail or
bring out the color. Okay.
9. Cut out an Image: What I'm going to do now is I'm going to add in a
little tea cup. As I said, this is all
about a cup of tea tasting like a sunny holiday. Now, I'm going to use
Generate Image again, so I've gone to
generative image there, Generate image, and I'm going
to use a portrait again. Now, this doesn't
have to be huge. We'll just make it a
reasonable size like so. And I'm then going to put
in what I want to see. Now, once again, there's
probably a lot of cups of tea on Adobe stark. So Firefly will probably
work quite well. Let's see what happens. So I've put in generate a cup of tea in a
transparent cup, and let's click on Generate
and see what happens. Right, so I've got
my cup of tea there, but I want to be on a
transparent background. So even if I were able to get rid of
this background here, because it's a transparent cup, you'll see some darker areas around there won't
look quite so good. Now, if you try putting the prompt or telling the prompt you want it on
a transparent background, it doesn't work very well. Let me show you what happens. So I put in make the
background transparent, and let's see what it does. Well, that's not terribly
good because it's just made a black
background for that. I could try again and choose a different
prompt over here. So I've tried the
cup should be on a transparent background
and click Generate. And you'll find that mine seem
to generate very quickly, but that's because I'm
actually cutting the video. Sometimes it does take
a little while and also depends on your Internet
connection because it's not doing it on
your local machine. Ah, now, that one looks
just as bad as well. We might have to try
a different model, and let's try flash and
generate from there. Now what it's done is it's done the effect
of transparency. This effect here is
what you'd see on well, most Adobe software
when you want something to be
transparent because it means that it's transparent. But on here, it's just put the transparent effect on there. It hasn't actually gone in
and made it transparent. So what I'm going to do instead is I'm going to go
back to Firefly, and instead of having a
transparent background, I'm going to put it onto a white background over there so we can then
cut it out at least. Okay, that's a
little bit better. I think we've got one on a pure white background over there. Now, this seems to be cut out, but it's showing the
whole thing over there. So what I can do is I can just
pull this out a little bit over there until I've got the
whole of that cup in there. Now, once we've done that, we can actually just cut it
out straight away by going along to the effects and
using a little cut out tool. And then what I can do
is just click on it. And over here in
the image option, we've got remove background, and that will just get rid of the background for me
very, very quickly. Anyway. Look at that. We'll just make it a
little bit smaller, and there's my cup in the corner ready to go. Try it all out. There's so many things
that you can do with those prompts, but be very, very careful because sometimes they can just go horribly wrong, and it really doesn't understand transparency as in cutting an image out,
transparency very well.
10. Rewrite with AI: Let's get some text into this. So I'm going to go
over to the T tool, the type tool there, and I'm
going to add in my text. And I've just got some text here that I'm going
to paste straight in. And the brand itself
is called seaweed. So I'll just put that in
inverted comms over here, and, um capitalize the S. And then I want to actually get this to be a little
bit more well, in your face, because
I've got seaweed tea is a refreshing drink
that'll make you feel like you're on the beach. And I misspelled
some things in here, but that's absolutely fine. We're going to see what happens. I'm going to choose rewrite. What I want to do
is I want to try rephrasing this as an
inspirational quote. So let's click on Generate, and it'll give us
three versions. So over here, we've got with
every sip of seaweed T, you'll feel the
invigorating H of a beach getaway.
That's quite good. Enjoying that is like
basking on the shore and sipping transport you to a beach revitalizing
your spirit. I'm going to take
that one there. And click on replace. Then I'm going to go back again and I'm going to shorten it, once again, keeping that on inspirational and
click on Generate. We should get some really
nice quick short ones. SIPC, we T feel the
sun. That's brilliant. Beach vibes Awaken or
your sunny paradise. I really like that,
so I'm going to click on Replace
and there it is. I've got my text in there. We just have to move into the right position and
make it look good. Do try that out. Experiment
with those rewrites because that's using an AI to
rewrite your text for you.
11. Add Text Effects: I like this text to stand
out a little bit more, and I'd also like
to be a bit bigger. So if I select it, I've just clicked a few
times to select it. I've got bold as an option
in there, which looks okay. You can see there's also a
little bold button over there. I'll just switch
that back on again, but I really needed
to jump out further. So what I'm going to
do is I'm going to go over here to the text
out and click on that. And we've got different
layouts over here. I could try a circle and then maybe put the
cup in the middle and you'd have the T inside that, let's try that out and see. So if we move that down there, we can move that
into the middle, something like that. You
can't really read it. It's great for maybe a logo or something that people
would take time to read, but that's very, very difficult. So let's go back
again over here. I would like to use, though, is the dynamic text, because the dynamic text is interesting because as
you drag this around, it just changes the
size of the characters, so we can have
something like that. So I've got my seaweed
your sunny paradise. The tea and the sunny can't
really be read very well. So once again, we need
to do something else. So, what else can
we do? Well, we've got more effects over here. If you click along the top, you can see we've got effects. So I might try a
shadow over here, and you can see we get a not
so subtle shadow on that. That's okay. There's also some other options
though that we can do. We could try going to the
generate text effect options. And over here, you've got
a few options, let's say, view all, and we
can click on these, and it will just generate
that particular effect. Now, this is a gold effect. I'm hoping will look
good with the gold T. Sometimes it takes a
moment for it to kick in. As you can see, it's kicked in, but honestly, it does
look a little bit tacky. But if you want to have a bit of a go with those and
see what you can get, there's some very, very
interesting type of effects. I think I'm going to
remove the effect. So to get rid of it,
I'll just go back here. Click on that little back
button over there and just choose none from the
generate text effects. And I'm just going to
take something like that drop shadow so we can see what the text actually says, and I'll just move that
to the middle a bit. Anyway, do have a bit of a play with those options
and see what you can get. Try out generating some sort of text effects in there as
well. Have some fun with it.
12. Create Other Format Shapes: Now, we're ready to download, and we're going to be using
the download button here. But there's something extra
that I want to show you. I've got this as
a portrait form, and I might want to square one, as well, but let's go
to Download first. And if I go in to
JPEG over there, and I'm going to click
download. Look what happens. It downloads it as it stands, but it also gives me a little area here that I can actually choose
a square from. Now, it's just jumped across to the right hand side over there, and I can choose the
Instagram square there. And if you scroll,
you'll find that there's more options over there. So I'm going to say, Well, I'd also like to have an
Instagram square post. Click on that, and
it just generates me a square post
of what I've done. Perfect. That's in a
little square now. So once again, I can go to
Download and I'll download that and it's now giving me another option
for an Instagram story. Yet, I'd like that, so I'll click on
that one as well. Now, all of these
are separate files, so you can actually work
on them independently. And then we go, there's
my portrait one. Once again, I'll
just move things around a little bit like that. And when we go back
to this main area and we have a look
at recent files, you'll see that if
I choose View All, there's actually
several versions of that document over here, so I can always go and tweak
them independently later. Anyway, try that out. It's
a really nice quick way.
13. Use AI for Branding - Intro: Branding is such an important
part of any design process. I want to show you
how you can use AI to help develop your brand, whether it's a personal brand
or working for a business. Now, what we're
going to be doing is we're going to be
taking AI and getting it to help us with color
choices so it will find colors for us that will work together and
it's very, very good. We'll also use it to help
create fonts or font pairs. That's where you have
two fonts together, and I'll explain a bit more
about that as we go along. We'll also use AI to
help you create logos. Now we can put all
of these together into our branding,
or, of course, you can just use it in any
other software that you want because it'll give
you the things you need like the numbers, the hex numbers for the colors or the fonts
that you need to use. So although we're working
with Adobe Express, you can use these
techniques everywhere.
14. Branding with ChatGPT: Now, although we've created
an interesting post here, we really haven't looked at what the whole branding
of this little seaweed T company is
going to be like. And we're going to
look into that now, but we're going to be
using AI to help us. So what I'm going to do is
I'm going to find some fonts. I really want two
different fonts, one for the headlines and
one for the body text, and these are known
as font pairings. And then I want some
colors as well, and we probably also need
some sort of little logo. Now I'm going to do
that using chat GPT. And what I've done,
and I'll just paste this in and read it
to you is I've written, I'm creating and I've
misspelt creating. I'm creating a design for a fictional business
called seaweed Tea. The tea is a
refreshing drink that should remind one of
the seaside in summer. I need some colors and fonts
that will portray this. So I've just told it roughly what the feel of
this little business is. And let's see what
it comes up with. Sometimes it's
absolutely brilliant. Sometimes, well, you might
need to tweak it a bit, but it's come up
with a color palette over here of primary colors, so main colors in there, secondary colors, and maybe highlight colors in here, too. So it's given us the
deep sea and deep teal, sea foams, sandy corals there. And then when it comes to fonts, it's given us some
font pairings. So the headline font over here, and then a body font and then another headline
font and a body font. Now, this is what
I like. It said, Would you like me to create
a sample color swatch from the font mockups like a mini brand board? Absolutely. So let's just pop in, in there so we can actually
see this visually. Now, sometimes this takes a
little while for it to do. That looks really good
because we can now see the colors all in
one area over there. There's our sea foams and
our deep teals in there. That looks really good. It says, Do you want me to also put together some font mockups? Well, yes, we may as
well have that as well. So I'll pop in, yes in there.
15. Add Color to Your Brand: Now, back into Express. What I'm going to do is I'm not going to
make a new document. I'm actually going to
go to brands over here. We're going to put our
brand guidelines or our brand details
together in here. So I'm going to say
create a brand. Now, there are two options. One is a manual setup, which we're actually
going to do, but the other one is extract
the brand from an upload. Now, what happens then is that it looks at something
that you upload and it will find fonts and
it will find colors and also items as
logos, as well. Sometimes it works,
especially if you've got brand guidelines which
are clearly set out. Sometimes it makes a bit
of a mess of things, and you spend more time
trying to sort it out. So by all means, try it. All you've got to
do is extract from upload and tell it
or give it the file. I'm going to use manual setup, though, I'm going
to give it a name. So I'll call this CT.
Let's click on Create. Now, it says, add
your brand logos, graphics, colors and fonts. I'm going to click on Add, and I'm going to start
off with my colors. So the color palette over here, and I can click over
there, and then I can just put in my
colors down here. So all I've got to do
is to go back to chat, find that first hex
number because I want that deep teal in there, copy that, paste it in there. And save that my first color. Let's do another one over there. Once again, over to here, find the next color
that I want to use. So I want that as
a primary color. Secondary colors. I think
I would like this coral. We can always add other colors later on as well if we wish. I just don't want to want to
spend too long doing this. There's coral, and let's just
have a third color for now. You can add as many
colors in as you like. And I'm going to go with
the crisp white over there. Now, crisp white is seriously white because it's just
FF FF, FF over there. So that is pure white. And maybe pure white is
not quite what we need. Let's try the lemon yellow, and we'll copy that
and bring that in. As well. If I go in here, I could choose pure white
by just typing in FF, FF, FF and click on Save. I'd actually have white as
one of my colors in there. And we'll click on Add to
add all those colors in. I'll stop there so that you
can get your colors in. So remember, click on brands, make a new brand,
set it up manually, go to your colors, and you can then add your colors
in over there. You'll see that you can kind of flick between the
overview logos, colors, et cetera,
and then we'll do some fonts in a moment.
16. Add Fonts to Your Brand: So I'm going to go to
the fonts over here, add fonts, and then I'm going to go and have a look for the font. Now I need to find it. In here, the fonts.
The quicksand. I really like the look
of that quicksand, so I'm going to copy Quicksand. Go back into here, type in
quick or paste in quicksand, and it shows me quicksand in there and we'll
add in quicksand. Then I can just keep adding
more of them into here. Let's choose Add again
and we're going to add another font once
again, go back in here. And if you remember
that Quicksand was, I think it was with
Montserrat as a pair. But if we're not
sure, we can just go back here again and say, Oh, what is it? Our note wasn't?
It was with Laura. Let's have a look at Laura. I'll copy that and once again go back in
here. Paste that in. Over there, and that gives us our header text and our
body text in there. I'm not sure about Laura. I might just add in another
one over here as well. So let's go with
fonts back into chat. And I think Monset was an
interesting one over there. We'll copy that and
pop it in over there. Right, yes, I kind
of like those two. Over there, I'm not so
fond of the Laura font, so I'm going to click at the top and just
delete that one. So those other two will be
my header and my body fonts. Have it go and bring in a pair
of fonts into your brand.
17. Add Logos to Your Brand: Now, what about a logo? You might have a
professionally designed logo that you already want to use, and you can just
upload that logo here. But the other thing
is that we can use AI to design us a simple logo. Now, there are a few
ways to do this. One of those ways is you can actually go to the little
plus at the top there, the little blue plus, where
it says, Get started. You can click on Quick Actions. And then over here in
the quick actions, one of them is a logo maker. Now, you put in the name
of your business in here. So seaweed, tea, and,
um, seaside drinks. I'm going to click
on next in there. Then this stage, it
says, choose an icon. Now, there's a few
icons over here, and you can also just choose an icon by sort of typing
in something similar, like, for example, restaurant or tea leaf or
something like that. Once that's done, it will
take it across and give you some variations on that with different colors and
different typefaces. Now the thing is we've
already created fonts, so I want something that's going to be sympathetic for that. So if you want to do it like
this, by all means do so. Once you've done
this, you can change the font and the colors. But the other way to do this, and this is the one that I'm
going to actually do now properly is let me get rid of that is I'm going to go along to ChatGPT and I've
done this already, just to save a bit
of time for you. Put in, Can you make me a
simple logo for this brand? And it came up with
that one there, which I thought
that's pretty good, but I don't like the
typeface it's used. So I said to it, Can you do
it using the Quicksand font? He says, Yes, do you want me to recreate the same one again? Yes, I did. And that's what
it came up with there. Now, all I need to do is to
download this over there. It will have this color
in the background. So let's just choose
Download over there, and we're going to put it
into a document in here. So I will just create
a brand new document. There, let's just go
with Instagram post. I want you to see
what it looks like. And I'm going to go along
and bring that picture in. So I'm going to say upload
over there, find the picture. That was the last one
in my Downloads folder, and there it is. Now, that is
absolutely brilliant, and of course, I can put
that into my branding. So I'm going to go to my brands. You can see so far, I've
got colors and fonts. If I go to the logos, there is no logo in there yet. But I can say upload logos, and I can just
upload that picture. You don't have to open it by the way, like
I've done there. I just did that to show you
what it would look like. And that's uploading now. And there I've got
my logo in there. So with the brand's overview, you can see we've got a logo, we've got colors, and we've
got the fonts down here, too. One of the things that you might notice is that my colors here don't include this
background color or the lighter greens. So if I wanted to
bring them through, what I can do is I
can actually go and edit this particular
set of colors. I'm going to go in here
and I'm going to just go into edit and on the plus, I can click on that
little plus over there, go to the little
eyedropper and then click that color to
choose it and save that. Let's do that again.
So click over there, click on the eyedropper,
pick the green. And save it. And I'll do
one last one over here. Once again, I drop a
choose that green there. Click on Save. And you can
just add as many colors as you want to your existing palette
really, very, very easily. Once again, have a go with that.
18. Add Photos & Graphics to Your Brand: Now, we've still got one more of these branding things to add in, and that's going to be some
graphics or photographs. So I'm going to
click on graphics, upload graphics, and then I can just go and
find the images. Now, I went along to Unsplash, and I downloaded
lots of pictures. You can download
anything that you like. I kind of like that as a
seaweed type of picture, so I'll upload that one. And I'm just going to keep going and uploading quite
a few of them. I won't get you
to watch because, well, it'll just take a while
for me to do all of them. Have a little bit of a
go with that and add some pictures into
this graphics area.
19. Add Transparency to Your Logo: Let's have a look
at how we can bring our logo in on a
transparent background. I've just got a blank
page app over here, and I'm going to go to Media. No, sorry. I'm going
to go to uploads. And I'm going to
find that logo that I had and we'll upload it. Now, just make it a
little bit larger now. All I have to do now is
to go along to the image. It shows image there and
click on Remove Background. It's going to get rid
of the background, and it even removes these little bits in
between the words as well. So it's quite clever the
way that it does it. Once it's done, we're going to export this out or download it. There we go. You
can see we've got all that transparent
areas in there. If I were to just
make a copy of it, you can see there very clearly
that it is transparent. I'm going to go up to Download. Click on Download,
and I'm going to choose PNG for this file. I'll choose Download. The reason I've chosen PNG is PNG allows you to
have transparency. Let's have a little bit of
a look at what I've got. And here's the file, but there's no
transparency in it. It's just on a white background. So what can we do about that? Well, what you do is you go to your background color over
here and choose none. That's the little forward
slash over there or backslash. And now you can see we've
got this transparent effect, the little checked effect that I was talking
about earlier. If I now go to download and download that as a
transparent PNG. Now, it says transparent because we've got the transparent
background in there. I can download that in there, and there's my transparent
PNG over there. Now, of course, I
can then go over to my brands and just bring it in as another logo with a
transparent background. So let's find my brands. Go in there, click on
the plus for logos, choose that one, upload it, and I've now got a normal logo and a transparent logo
in there as well. Do be careful because these are quite low resolution at the
moment because we're only working with low res for social media right
now. Try it out.
20. Social Media Project - Intro: I love projects, and we're going to create
something really cool. Now, we're going to create
a social media post, and we're going to use
all the things that you've learned so far
and put them together. But I'm going to be adding in a few little extra hints and
tips as we go along as well. So keep your eyes
open. Let's start.
21. Import Image and Get Business Name from ChatGPT: Your business has developed this new super duper
long life shoe, and it's this little
one over here. So it's got sort
of special canvas so you can just wear
it forever and a day. And we want to put it
purely in the line of a long term travel type of shoe that you can wear anywhere and will
just keep going. Now, by the way, I've got
this image from Adobe Stock. It's one of the free ones. I will put it in the course for you so you can download it. But if you want to
go and find your own, that's absolutely fine. I just searched for canvas
shoe vintage in Adobe stock. But do make sure
unless you're actually paying for stock that you click on the free
button up there. So what we want to
do is we want to create all the branding around this particular
brand new shoe. And we're going to
look, first of all, at the image itself
and see what sort of feel we want from the
whole of this first post. Now, I'm going to go along. I'm going to click on the
Plus button in Express, and I'm going to the Create. And over here, we've
got all sorts of different types of sizes and
things that we can create. I'm just going to choose
a square for the moment. And I'll bring in that picture so we can have a
proper look at it. So this is the kind
of thing that maybe the photographers
will have given to you after you've
given them the shoe. I'm going to click on Upload, and I'm going to go and find
my shoe and bring it in. Now, let's make that a little
bit larger over there. So we need to get some help
about the branding from this. And we're going to do
that by using ALM, and we're going to ask it
for ideas around this shoe. So straightaway, we're
going to go in to chat GBT and have a chat. I've started off by telling Chat GBT what I
actually want from it, and I've told it that
it is the brand expert, and I need help with
the product that I'm developing so it understands
what is expected of it. And then I've said,
the product is a canvas sneaker very like
the converse all star. The shoes aimed at people who travel the world without fear, don't mind discomfort, and are likely to end up in
an old sailboat. I need a name for my
shoe and a tag line. So it's done that. It's come up with some
interesting names over here, nomadics That's very
very nice tide way, one line, drift step, outbound. And then we've got some
tag lines over here. So the tagline for those
who don't stay docked, not sure on that one there. I like this one. Walk
the world fearlessly. Have a bit of a go with that. Um, just tell Chat what you expect of it and then
give it the information.
22. Set Up Colors with ChatGPT: I'll click on Add Text, and I'm going to
add in the title. I've changed it. I like
actually nomadics. And then for the
tagline, once again, I'm going to add some
more text in over here, and this will be the road
the tide, the unknown. So I've got those two in there. Now, we also need to start
to look at things like our branding colors and the fonts that we're going
to be using with this. So back to chat again. Now, what I've done is I've used the same text that I had before about describing
the product. And then I've said,
I need some colors for my brand that
reflect the feel. The main color is, and I've put in a
hex number in there. So what is that main color
and how did I find it? Well, to find a color, I've decided to
use something from this picture because I
really love the feel, the old brown in here. So I want to pick up that color and find
what that color is. So there's so many ways
that we can find it, but I like to just go into my text tool over there
if you click on the text, you'll see there is a little
fill button in there. If you click that, it
brings up your colors. What I'm interested in, though, is this little button up
there and the custom window. So I'm going to go to
that tiny little button. It's the perpet. And I'm going to move
over my document, and I'm going to click.
On the area that I want. And you can see over here it's just sample that color in there, and it's given me
the hex number. So you can keep
going over there, so we can try different one. Let's go and do that once again. Click on that down here, maybe a slightly darker
brown near the bottom, click once and pick it up. And you can even go in here
and adjust it yourself, go, Yep, that's just
the color I want. Copy that hex number and then go back into chat and paste it in. So what hat's now done is
it's gone in and given me some main core
brand colors in here. And you can see
we've got all the different hex numbers
in there with a bit of a description
of how that actually is. Now, these are
great, by the way, because if you're setting
up some sort of branding, it makes it look
like you've been a lot more thoughtful about
your choice of colors than, well, maybe you have. Anyway, we've got
the colors in there. And then what I've asked
it to do is I've got it to actually make or design
another more vintage version. So you can just
tell it, you know, make them muted,
make them vintage. And then I said, Mock up a vintage palette
so I can actually see the colors and here are my
colors side by side in there. So I can look at
those and go, eh, those are pretty much the
colors that I wanted. Now, if I want to
take that in so I can actually compare
it on the picture, I could then just download
that very quickly. So we just download
that chart in there, and I can bring it back in here so I can always
have a look at it. By the way, it
doesn't matter that my text is a funny color. We're going to sort
that out later anyway. But what I'll do is I'll just
to upload, find that image, and just bring it
in and go, Yeah, you see those colors work so beautifully with this
particular document. Anyway, we're going
to take those colors, we're going to use them
for our branding just now. But we've kind of gone around a different route to
doing the branding first. And the product
we've gone product first, branding after that. Try that out and
have a bit of a go. Once again, in here, all you've got to
do is to give it the same information
and tell it what the main color is over there. Tell it that you
want a vintage or a muted version and ask it to do a mockup of that so
you can actually see the colors as well. Try it out.
23. Add the Colors from ChatGPT to Brand Guidelines: Now, I've gone
over to the little brands button on
the left hand side, and I'm going to
make a new brand. So I'm going to click on this
little B with a plus on it, and I'm going to
say manual setup. You can try extracting the
brand from an upload from a picture and video sorry. You can try extracting
the brand from an image showing the different
colors that you've got. I don't always find
that quite so useful. I'm going to manually set it up. Let's give this a name. So this is going to be nomadic. And I'm going to
click on Create. So now what we can
do is we can go along to our colors over here, and I can add colors
to that brand. Let's add in the
colors over here, click on the plus, and I can just start copying and
pasting them over. Now I'm not going to do every one of them with you watching, but I will do one
or two of them. I'm going to start off with
this main ochre, copy that. Paste that one in and save. And we'll just keep
adding in like this directly from Chat GPT. And with that, there we go. And I'll just keep
adding all the rest of those colors in
while you tried out. So have a bit of a go and get
your color palette working.
24. Add the Fonts from ChatGPT to Brand Guidelines: We're going to go and find the
fonts that we want to use. So back again into chat. And then what I did after
that was I asked it. What about font pairing? What fonts would you suggest? Well, this is still part
of that same long chat, so it understands what
I'm talking about. So I want a vintage
muted palette, worn in explorer, and it suggested a few type
faces over here. And saying we're going to
be using serf Serif or the little curly
bits at the top for the main headline type of text. And it's given us
three options in here, and we can try those out
and see what we think. We can also try
the body, as well. Now, the body is more
of a clean look. So remember, with your fonts, treat them like a
comedy double act. You've got one which is
a little bit wild and one that is more
upright and serious. And just have a look and see what you like with
those type faces. I'm going to
experiment with them, so I'm going to have a
look at this one first. Copy that one, go back into Express and go to
my type over here. So I'll go to fonts
and add fonts. And then if I paste that
font in over there, it's found it for me, and it actually looks
quite interesting, especially in upper
case over there. But let's look at the
other ones as well. So this chaparral pro, I'm going to copy that one. Paste that one in. Oh,
let's try that again. Do you ever do that? Sometimes when you go
to paste something, you copy it again by mistake. It's most annoying
when one does it. There. Very, very similar
type face over there, the type with a little
seraps on the edge, and we can try the
other one as well. But I'm actually going to
go with this one in there. So I brought in the first font, and I'm then going to
go back and I'm going to find one for my body text. So I'm going to add
in lato over here, I'm going to copy ato, go back. I'm going to click on the little plus at the top there to add, and I'm going to be adding
another font again. I'll just paste lato
into the top over there. That's the one that I want,
and it'll bring it straight in to the side. Try it out.
25. Make a Logo in Express: What about a logo?
Because we don't have any logos in our brands area. If you've got one that
you've already created or lien has given you or a
design has done for you, you can just upload
it from there. What I'm going to do,
though, is I'm just going to go back to the beginning
again over there. Don't forget your
document will be saved automatically in
the recent options. And I'm going to click on
Little plus at the top. And we've got some
quick actions here, so I'll choose quick actions. And one of those quick
actions is a logo maker. So this is not necessarily about making a logo for
that particular job. This is just going to design
a logo that we can save. So tell us about your logo. Well, this is going
to be for nomadics and the Road and Tide, I think will be the title. Let's capitalize that as well. Or I think maybe just the Road and Tide
would be even better still. I'm going to click on next. Now, I can then put
in something in here that will sort out any little
icons that I'm looking for. I could go with a shoe.
It might be a little bit obvious really to have a little
icon of a shoe in there. So instead, I'm going to go with something like a
compass for navigation. And we've got quite a few
different compasses in here. Now, I'm thinking
about the feel. This is going to be old. It's going to be vintage. I want something that
looks like it could come off a map from the 1800s. And I like this
little one over here, so I'm just going
to click on that. And then it says, choose
a logo to start from. So it's going to use one
of these styles in here. And you can see we've
got quite a lot of them. So once again, I'm
looking for a logo style, which is, well, it replicates
the feel that I'm after. This one here, Old Sun
that looks really, really interesting in there. I'm going to click
on that. And what it does is it takes
the image I've chosen and the text and put it together into a little
logo like that. Now, if you don't like it, click the black Back button and you can go and
try something else. I think this lotus looks
really interesting there with the text being
quite simple. Let's try that one. Once
again, I like that. So once I'm happy with that, I can just say download to download my logo,
and it's done. Now, let's close
that down and go back to our project over here. And then I'm going
to go to my brands. I'm going to go to Logos, and I'm going to
say upload logos. So I'm going to find
the one that I've just created in there. That logo is
actually a Zip file. You can see it says Logo to Zip. So what I'll need to do is
to actually unzip it first. So I'm just going to go
along to my downloads, double click on that, unzip it, and in there, you can see I've
got a transparent version, and I've got a version with
that background color. It's really cool. And I'm
going to obviously be bringing both of those
in so same again, upload logos in there. I'll go into there, and I
want the transparent version. And I want the non
transparent version. I think I might have
missed clicked the button. So let me just bring
that in again as another logo and the transparent
one to upload, as well. So then if I drag
one of those in, you can see we've got
the transparent version over there or the non
transparent version. I can bring that little
logo in where I want it. I think over there, very, very subtle in the corner
will work really well. So have a bit of a go. Try creating some
interesting logos. Don't forget to download them
while you're creating them, and you'll then have a
transparent as well as a solid logo that you can use. Try it out.
26. Make a Logo White or Black: I would like to put this little nomadic down here on the
bottom right hand corner, but you can see the
problem straightaway. You just well, you
can't see the see it. That is the problem.
So, how could I make this logo white or if I
wanted to make it black? Well, what we can do is
we can go along if you click on the logo itself and go along to
the edit area over here. This is the linked assets area. You can adjust it. If
you click on Adjust, you'll find that
you've got things in here like brightness. You can actually
brighten things up or darken things down in there. You can adjust the colors
if you need over there, so I could make it sort
of bluer or more gray. But that doesn't give me white. So what about if I actually just went back here and
clicked on effects? Well, with the effects, I'm going to go down
to Duotone over here. I'm going to click on the
little icon in the middle. So I've clicked to atone once, and then I'm going to click
on that little button, which allows me to edit it. And then over here,
we've got two options, one for the shadows and
one for the highlights. If I click the highlights, over there and choose white. Well, you can see that it's
got a really weird color. If we go to the shadows and
choose white, A, there we go. Now we've got that
as pure white. So you might need to
change the colors in here. If I went and put a
different color on there, you can see I can adjust the shadows and
highlights in here. But if I go to both
of them and make them both white,
that'll be white. If I wanted black, I can
just make them both black. In there and it will go black. So really nice, quick and
easy way of just getting your logo to go either
white or black, or any color for that matter. So, if I want something
which matches that, I can choose one of these
colors over there as well. I'm going to go
with white so it is actually viewable
in my document. Do try that out with your logo, have bit of a go with
a transparent one, adjusting the highlights
and the shadows, using the duo tone.
27. Add the Font Style from Brands: Let's go and adjust
the text now, so I'm just going to go
along to the text here. Remember our branding. In our branding, we have
got the fonts down here. So I'm just going to
choose the body font, and there it is.
It's applied it. I'll click on maticsOce again, go to the branding, and
I'm going to choose the header for nematics. This one's going to be
a little bit larger, so I might pop that
over there somewhere, and this one's going
to be a bit smaller. And we'll just pull
it out. I don't actually like the
unknown in there, either, so I'm going
to take that out. I'm going to say
the road and tide. Have a go and make your
text look interesting.
28. Use Firefly & Gemini Flash to Make Background: Now, I've changed the colors
on those two over there, and I'm thinking that I've got this big space over
here. Now, that's great. If I just need to put in any other details about the launch date or
something like that. But don't be afraid to
leave spaces as well. These negative
spaces help to make your object appear a
little bit more important. So if I just move that down across there a little
bit over there, it doesn't matter that this is absolutely free and
the text is up there. What it's saying to everybody
is these objects are so important that we're just
having them by themselves, and we're not worried
about trying to fill every little bit of
space with something. If you have a look at
some top luxury brands, when they actually
display the objects, the objects are displayed with
lots of space around them, almost like it's a museum piece, and you're just there to look and appreciate
that particular object, not see it in amongst
lots and lots of stuff. Now, I want to do a
second version of this where I will have more
stuff in the background. So I'm going to go down to the bottom right hand corner
where it says add page. I'm going to click on the
three dots over there, and I'm going to say
duplicate that page. I've now got two of those pages. You can see here I
can flick between page one and page two. And on this page here, I'm going to click on the
background picture my shoes, and I'm going to go along to the edit and say,
remove the background. I'm going to try and get rid of this background over here. Now, it takes a moment to do it, but it usually actually does quite a good job. Ah
ha. There we are. I'm going to just pull that
down a little bit like that so the bottom of
the case is not showing. So, I'm happy with that. It's cut that out really,
really beautifully. But what I want to do
now is I want to put a picture into the
background behind this. So we're going to
go down to media, and I'm going to
say, generate image. And I want that to be a square. I'm going to make
it the same size as my document over there. And then I'm going to
describe what I want. So I'll just type it in here. Now, I've put in
an old ship cabin interior with sun streaming
through the porthole, so I kind of want that
lovely old look to it. I think I also need to tell
it that I want it to be old. Now, I've tried to be a bit
more specific about it, and I've said, This
should look old and a bit worn and dirty. Let's see what we can get. Now, using firefly, over here. I'm going to go down
to the content type. I don't want it to be art. I actually wanted to
be a photographic type of image over there, and I'm going to
click on Generate. So we'll try Firefly
firefly first. It's a bit of a tonguetwister there. And let's
see what we get. Well, that's
interesting. It's still not as old and
dark as I thought. Let's have a look at
that one. That's lovely. Looks like it's something
from Jules Verne. Um, that's not too bad at all. There's lots and lots of
really lovely wood on here. I particularly do
like that one there. So if I move it down below
all those other layers, we get that lovely
background in there. This is a little bit too shiny, but we can adjust
things later on. But let's have a go with
some other ones as well. So what I'm going to do over
here is I'm just going to copy all that text there because I don't want
to get rid of this picture. I'm going to say,
Generate image again, generate a square,
and do another one. And we're going to have
a look and see what the other models give us. So this time, instead
of using Firefly, I'm going to go down
to Gemini Flash, and we'll try that
same text in there. Over there. We'll click on Generate and see
what happens here. Oh, now that is interesting. It's really old and dark. Let's try that one below. Mm. Personally, even though it's bright and contrast
in the background, I like the look of this
one with the wood. Sometimes you'll get a
better result from one, sometimes a better
result from another one. So it's worth trying the
different models in there. Don't forget to change them to photographic to get a
real photographic look. Of course, you can
then go along to the effects over here and adjust them with
any of these effects. We can change the colors. You can see over here,
we've got sort of portrait or darken the whole
thing down shadows, sunbath. That's an
interesting one. Let's get rid of that and go
back to the edit because we can also use the adjustment
in here to edit it. And I could lower the
contrast a little bit, so it wasn't quite so bright. Darken it down if I thought it would bring
out the shoes a bit more. That is coming out really
nicely for the shoes, and well, I think that's
not looking too bad at all. Sometimes when backgrounds
are really, really busy, you can use the blur to
just add a bit of blur to the image so you can sort of see the look that we're
going for in there, but without too much detail. I really like the look of that. Now, all I need to do
is to go to my text, and I'm going to
change that to white, or I could use the
same color over here, one of our colors
from our branding. I'm going to just go with
white on there for the main and sort of slightly
off white. Or the sub. Right, so we've now
got two versions of the very clean version and the one with an interesting
background behind it. Don't forget with
your background, you can actually then still go in and change it a little bit, as well, if I pull it out. Maybe I could get
something more like that, which looks really, really
interesting in the background. It's blurry, so it
doesn't matter if I scale it up or down. Have fun with that. Try creating a really interesting
background picture.
29. Download & Make Variation for Other Social Platform: For those of you who
are on a paid version, if you go to your design assets, what you can do is you
can go along and you can find some design assets
to put on top of it. There are some on
the free version. They're just not as good. So if you're on the free
version, by all means, have a look through and see if you just click on View All, you'll see all the different
design assets in there. Um, and we've got different overlays in here
that we can choose from. So you can see we've got
all these different sorts, particularly like
this one over here. Now, this is one
of the free ones, and what it allows
you to do is kind of put this grunge type of feel on top of your
documents so I can have something along that line. Over there to give it a
bit more of a grungy feel. Anyway, if you are on
the paid for version, there's a really
nice one over here. When you first go
into all of them, it's this little one over here. And what it does is it just kind of gives you the
grungy look at the bottom, so I can make that larger. But this is the trick. If you then go to adjust, you can then adjust
the brightness and lightness of
that to get more of a darkened effect because we
really want to concentrate the look or the feel
onto the shoes. It's right at the top. I'll
move it down the layer down, so it's just above the suitcase so then the logo doesn't
get affected by it. Now, once we've got those
two done over there, all we have to do is to
go up to download it, and we can download
either as a PNG or as a JPEG file in there
ready for social posting. I'm going to choose JPEG. Click on Download.
And we're done. Now, don't forget
when you do this. You've got the other options
here as well if you want some different sizes and shapes. If I went on to
Flyer, for example, it's created another
flyer version for us, but we'll still have to
move around some things. So there's darkness, I'll
need to move that down. Maybe I'll actually go to
the case and the shoes, move them down a little
bit, change the background. Over there, and then
move both bits of text up a little bit and
adjust the sizing on there. Let's have nomadics
all the way across the top over there
and rod and tide, just sitting underneath
it in there. Once again, try it out,
have some fun with that, do some different sizes, and once again, just click
on Download to download it. I hope you enjoyed that and try some other
variations on the theme.
30. Video Effects & Animation - Intro: Everybody loves video and
everybody loves animation. And that's what we're going
to be looking at now. How to use AI to create a
really interesting intro. You can see on the side here, it reminds you of a movie. I won't mention the movie, but I'm sure you've
guessed what it is. We're going to be
doing animation. We're going to be looking
at creating avatars and characters and voiceover,
so many things. There's so much stuff in here. I'm sure you'll
absolutely love it. Anyway, let me stop talking
and we'll just get started.
31. Video Effect With a Prompt Generated in AI - Intro: Let's create an amazing
intro for a video post. What I'm going to
do is I'm actually going to do a prompt
first of all, and then we're going
to go into Firefly. Now, I'll tell you why we're going to do it that
way around in a second. But over here, I'm
going to go to add ons. So I'm in this main home area. Click on add ons, and we'll just go across to
all the add ons in here. What we're looking for
is an AI video add on. Now, if you can't see it,
just type it in at the top. AI Video that's the
one that we want, the AI video generator, and we'll just go down
here and say learn more, and you can then pay for it
via a recurring subscription. So if I'm happy with that, I will click on Open. Now, what we're
going to do is we're going to describe the
video that we want, and I want something which looks very matrix like but with words. This is what I'm going to type. Create an intro like
the Matrix movie, but use words not numbers. The colors should be
yellow and orange. And I'm going to click
on Enhance over there. And then it's going to have a
look at that and redescribe the whole thing for me in a much better way.
Now, there it is. A cascade of growing
lettuce falls down a dark digital screen, each character shimmering with
an orange and yellow aura. I'm just checking that there's nothing in here that
seems a bit strange. Occasionally, it's put in all sorts of weird
colors in there, but that's quite a
nice description. And I'm going to
select it all and copy that description
that it's given me. Now, we could sign in
to generate video, and we could do it that way or the other way that you can do it is you can go across to
Firefly and do it in Firefly. Now, we haven't actually
gone directly into FireFly yet in this course. So I'm going to just go back to the home area by clicking on the
little icon at the top, and you'll see that
I've got some of the Adobe packages
along the top. One of them is Firefly, I'm going to click on Firefly and that'll open
Firefly up for me. It's a separate
package from Express. I And then it's really
easy because it just says, describe the image
you want to generate. We don't want to do an image.
We want to do a video. So I will paste that
prompt into here, and I will click on Generate
and we'll see what we get. Okay, it's finished. Let's click the Play button and
see what we get. Oh, that is so cool. That's just what I had in
mind. Absolutely perfect. All we need to do is to go
to download and download that Now, back into Express. So I'm just going to
click the Back button a few times or click on
Express up the top here. And I can then bring
that into a document. So what we're going to do is we're going to go
and make a blank canvas, and I just want this
to be something interesting like an
Instagram story. And I'm going to go and find it. So I'm going to go to upload. Find my glow. There it is there. Upload that, bring it in. And we're going to go
really wild with this, pull it up, like so. And let's just test it
to see if it works. We can click the Play button at the bottom. Ah,
that's brilliant. Just what I was after.
So this is going to be the intro before we bring in the talking
head into our video. Anyway, do have a bit
of a go with that. Try some different
intros as well and see what you
can make from that. But do have a go at using
that add on to generate a really interesting
prompt that's probably better than just a simple one that you'd
create yourself.
32. Use Title Pro to Create a Title: Let me show you how to add
in a title quite easily. I'm going to go
back to my add ons, and there's one
called Title Pro. Now, if you can't find it, just search for it in
the video options in the video search bar up
the top there for addons. And I'm going to go
and use that one. So let's have it
Title Pro in there. Now, it pops up over here. If you've installed it,
remember with these things, if you haven't added them on, you need to just
click Add over there. And then what we have is something down the bottom which immediately
gets your attention, says ten days to
get 30% discount. Now, that would mean
that it's actually paid for. Yes, it is. However, we can actually use
a low res version for free. You'll see when we create this. If you create something, you think, Wow,
that's so awesome, I want to use that in high res
or do a high risk version, then of course, you could
actually go and pay for it. But I'll just close
that down for now. What we have here are all
different types of intros. So you can just
hover over one of them to see what it's actually
going to do in there. And sorry, you have
to click on it, not hover my mistake. Once you've found one that you
like, like that one there. What you do is you change
the colors on that. Now, what I'm going to do is I'm going to change
the background color, so I'm going to
click in there and make the background black. And I think this area here, I'm going to make that white. And then you can see the
texts are all black as well. And now that I've done that, that's okay, but I need
to still change the text. So let's click on
Edit over here. And then I can choose
various things. Now, this little bit of video, how many seconds that is. I haven't actually timed it. I think it was 5 seconds, so I could have 5
seconds in there. And then over here
under my Edda text, you see we've got the big word
that says smile in there? I'm gonna put in my name, 'cause this is introducing me. Now, you can see it's kind of sticking out a
little bit there. So if I go to the
font size over here, I can just reduce
the font size until my name fits in there like that. And where it says
more, I'm going to change that to graphics. And I'll change the last
one at the top to training. Now that I've done that,
I'm happy with that. I'm going to click on
Render and you can see the low quality one is free, and the other ones
you need to pay for. So we'll just use this
low quality one because this is just going to be
for an Instagram post, and it's not going to be huge. So I'll just click on
Render to get it done. And once it's done,
it will pop up over here. There it is. And we can just play that. So there we go. Now, if I was happy with that, I could move that down to the bottom and just have the
video playing at the top. And it's okay. It
doesn't look great. What I really want
to do, though, I want to have these letters
flowing down on top of that. That would be so cool. But anyway, I'll show
you how we can do something like that in a moment. With this little piece of video, by the way, we've got it coming in and we've
also got it going out, so you can actually move
it if you wanted to start there and then
sort of slowly fade out. Towards the end,
you could get it to do it that way. Alright so. Either way, it doesn't
really matter. Have a bit of a play with that. Come back, and I'll show
you then how we can get these letters to
go on top of that.
33. Remove Background: So how can we get
the letters to go on top of the black area
so we can see our logo, but without having this
big black bit there? Well, what we can do is if we
click on this little video, and you have to wait until it's finished rendering
before you do this, go over to Remove Background and click on the
Remove Background. It takes a moment, but it will actually get rid of the
background and just leave the little logo over
there. A, look at that. So now we've got the
numbers coming over the black area in
there. Let's play that. And you can see it
looks so much better, and then it'll just slowly
fade out like that, and then we can bring in the talking head
straight after that. Have a bit of a play with that. If you want to try it
the other way around, okay, you can do this. It's a little bit interesting. You could click on
the background video and remove the background. Now, when you remove the
background from the video, you need to change the color
because if it's white, if the backgrounds white and
you remove that background, it'll look a little bit funny. You'll see what I mean in
a second. There we go. But if my background
was actually black, you wouldn't notice
that that's cut out. And if I change these
to a round, now, when I do that, the numbers will actually flow
on top of the logo. And it just almost
covers them up like volcanic volcanic eruption. Anyway, try it
either way around. Personally, I prefer
the other way where the logos on the top, but have a go with both.
34. Record Yourself or Add in Pre Recorded Videos: The last thing with
this intro video is that if you don't
like your colors, you can click on
your background, and you can go in
to the video area. You can go to edit and you
can adjust the colors. You can change the contrast. You can brighten them
up. You can darken them down, do whatever you want. There's some saturation
and warmth in there, or you can go along
to the effects, and you can click on Dua tone. Now, with a duotone, if you click the little
settings icon in the middle, it'll take you in
here and I can say, Well, I want the dark
colors over here. I'll click on them to be, Oh, let's say, this
blue in there. And the highlight colors bright green or something
a bit more muted, maybe even brown in there. Now, if you've done that and you don't like what you've done, just click on none to remove it. If you wish to save it
out because you want to use this in other videos, what you can do is you can
actually just go to download, choose MP four and just
download that straight away, and this will download it
and you'll then have an MP four that you can
reuse in other documents. Now, let's go back to this. And what I want to do is I'm going to go and
close that down. I want to bring in some
more video after this. So this is my intro. Now, let's have a
little look at it. I'm going to play
it. That is very, very long for an intro. People get bored after
2 seconds of intro and, you know, click on
something else. So we want to make it nice
and short and snappy. So I'm going to
just pull that down a little bit like
that over there. So we've just got this
little quick piece of video. Yeah, that's right. But I think let's do
it this way instead. Pull it over from that side. That's better. Quick, and
that's all the people need. They don't need to appreciate all your hard work in
getting those numbers up. So now that I've done that, I'm going to bring in my video, and there's two ways
we can do this. One way, and we're going to
go along to the media and videos for that is
we can actually just record ourselves directly
from the computer. Or we can upload that from the desktop or
preloaded video as well. So I'm just going to say
record yourself. Over here. And you can see there I
am talking to the camera, and I can just start
recording in there, so I'll click Start
recording three, two, one. Hi, I'm Tim Wilson, and this is an Adobe Express
course. Let's stop that. And it will just go through and render that out with the sound, as well. I can play that. Hi, I'm Tim Wilson, and this is an Adobe
Express course. Now, I could have clicked Save, but I really don't want that. I want to use
something which has been set up a lot better where I set it up on
the couch and I've got lights in there. I still use the same microphone, but it looks a little
bit more professional. So I'm going to upload
from the device. I'm going to find the video. Click Upload, and it says,
Where do you want it? Do you want it on the same area on the same canvas over there, or do you want to add it in? So we want to add it in
sequence afterwards. Let's have a quick look at that. Okay, the high should come
in a little bit sooner, once again, back a bit.
It's bit on the small side. I am going to scale it up. It is quite high quality video, so I'm going to pull it up
like that to just get my face. That's a odd expression. Let's try that
again. Hi I'm Tim. Right. So there it is in there. And I could bring in my logo again on top of
that if I wanted, so it would be down over here. Anyway, have a bit
of a go with that. So first of all,
download your document. You can also then go
in and either record yourself over here using
the record yourself item, or you can upload some video
of yourself or anybody else. It honestly doesn't matter. If you don't like
recording yourself, just wait until you're
sort of sitting on your own and then record
yourself in there. Remember, when you
do record yourself, it's just going to cut to
this little section here. So I kind of move
the camera down a little bit in there center myself in the middle
because I'm just going to be using that middle
bit over there. And then just click
Start recording, wait for your 3 seconds, and smile at the camera and go from there.
Let's stop that. And once again, I could then
save that recording out, and I will then have
another little recording of me over here. Now, you can see one is above the other.
Let's go back there. And of course, I could then
scale that up if I wanted, so I'm just going to be right
in the middle over there. Right. I look really
worried there. I wasn't I did look that. Let's find a smile.
That's a bit better. Anyway, do try that out
and have some fun with it. Record yourself or upload
anything you like from a video. It doesn't have to
be a person. If you want to do something different, find another video, use one of the videos that they
give you down here. Most importantly, just
enjoy the process. But
35. Add a Transition: Now, we've got
this what's called a straight cut from the intro straight
into the video there. If you want to try any fades
or anything along that line, you can go along to the little plus and click and
add some transition. So I'm going to click
there. I'm going to say Add transision we've got some
different transitions in here. There's one that pushes one out. You can see over there that
one will push that one aside. We can have this sort
of wipe going across. There's a dissolve
which I quite like. It's a slow dissolve, and
then there's this dip to black or dip to
white in there, too. I'm going to choose
the dissolve over. Now with the
dissolve, once again, if I click on that little
icon in the middle, I can then choose how long
that dissolve is going to be. I put in 3 seconds in here, so it'll be a really slow
dissolve that looks awful. So I'm going to
take that back and just do a very fast
little dissolve, maybe less than a
second in there, so it just very quickly dissolves from one
into the other. But do try that out. So when
we get something like that, there's a quick change, it just takes away from
that sudden wrench from one image into another or
one video into another. As always, have a go.
36. Add More Video: This intro bit is about
me just saying hi. Saying my name beautiful barge. Traveling the canals
around London was my wife. And talking about
the fact that I live on a boat with Ali, my wife, and Fuji. And so what I want to do
is I want to bring in a little piece of video showing the three of us by our boat. So I'm going to do that, and I'm going to upload
from the device, find the piece of
video that I want. And I'm going to layer
it on top of the canvas. I'm going to choose as layer
on Canvas and click on ad. You can see it's brought
it in. Now, this is quite a long piece
all the way through. And the bit that I'm looking for is probably
nearer at the end. So I'm just going to
shorten it a bit, and then I can actually
click on the video itself, and I can scroll it through. So my playback head is
there at the beginning. This is the piece of video
that's going to go in there, and I can just scroll that through until
I get where I want. So there's Ali just waving
at a Bota that's going by. If it's a very noisy boat, as you'll see in a moment,
Fuji's looking as well. And what I'd like to do
is I want to use this bit here where Fuji jumps
onto my shoulder. He is a very, very needy cat. He loves attention there. So that's really
the bit that I'm after this little
section over here. So let's play that and see. Now, you can hear
all that noise. That was actually from
that piece of video. Some of the older boats has got these really noisy
old diesel engines, and that was one of them that makes so much noise
when it goes past. So what I'm going to do on that little piece of video
is I'm going to mute it. There's a mute button there, so it'll mute the video down. I'm going to make
it a little bit smaller and just move it down to the bottom over here so we can have that
playing while I'm talking. And I'm thinking that it
should come in. Let's see. I live and work on barge traveling the canals around
London with my wife, Allie, and our cat, Fuji. Okay, I might just extend that a little bit
out over there. But we've now got two videos, one on top of the other coming
in and playing together, but only one soundtrack. A beautiful barge travelling the canals around
London with my wife, Ali, and our cat, Fuji. By the way, our boat is
called Sunflower Boogie. So if you're ever in the UK
and you see us on the canals, just come and say hi. We're very friendly.
37. Create a Fake B Roll: Now, sometimes when you click on a piece of video like
that one or that one, you think, why can't I
see all the other videos? All I can see is this
one over here in there. And that's because
you need to make sure that show layer timing
is switched on. When that's switched on, you'll see that your main
track is down here, and this little one above it is whichever one
you've clicked on. So if I click on
this one, I'm now seeing my studio version. If I click on that, I'm seeing the outdoor version
of that video. So just make sure that you click on the appropriate item
in there and you'll see it. And if you don't, it's
show layer timing. Now, what I'd like to do is I'd like to show you a little trick that a lot of people who
are doing videos use. And once you see it, you'll never unsee it. You see, a lot of people
when they're recording, actually record
with two cameras, and I'm sure you've seen this. You have what's called the
A role and the B roll. And the B roll is very often
from the side of the person, so they can just cut from
the front to the side. But of course, not everybody is able to do those
two camera views. Unless you've actually
got a particularly good studio setup, it's
quite difficult. You know, maybe if you're
doing it on your phone, you might have a
phone on one side, then a phone on the other side. But here's a little
trick that a lot of people do just to
add some interest. I'm going to say, from this
first piece of video here, so I'm just going to
go I introduce myself? Over there. Hi, I'm Tim. Hi, I'm Tim. And I'm going to
stop there. And then I'm going to right
click on there, and I'm going to split
that video into two. So it's this piece here
and that piece there, which are now separate pieces. It still plays directly
from that one. I'm Tim. Into that one. But if I go to this
front one over here and I'm going to just make sure it's
clicked on there, I'm going to zoom in a bit, so I'm just going to
make this a bit bigger. So you've actually got my
face a lot bigger in there. So I'm bigger there and
over here, I'm smaller. It's a subtle thing, but it just makes it look like
there's actually two cameras, one slightly zoomed in and one showing more of everything. Let me do that again for you, so I'll just play it
through from the beginning. Hi I'm Tim. I live and work on
a beautiful bump. And if you want, you
can actually even go between those two
add a transition, and I might add a very quick
dissolve between those two, but make it very, very fast. You don't want it
to be too obvious. And it just takes off that harsh jump from one to the other. Right, let's try that again. So just this bit
I'm Tim. I live it. Oh, that looked like
it actually zoomed in a bit. That's a bit strange. So if you need to go
back again there, you can click on it, and then just go back
in and change this. Maybe try making
it a bit slower. Let's see what that looks like. Otherwise, we could just try something else or maybe
even not have it on there. Hi. I'm Tim. I live
and work there. Uh, that's right.
But to be honest, I'm not that happy
with that anyway, so I'm just gonna say none for the transition
between those two. But you can do whatever
you like on there. Have a little bit of a go with that and see what you can do.
38. My Mistake: I made a little mistake, and
I want to show it to you. So when I was playing
this I'm Tim. And he just went blank. And then all of a sudden, it comes back. What happened there? Because this is something
you might do as well? I wasn't watching because I'm talking more than I'm
actually watching. But you see over
there, if I hover over that little transition button,
there's a plus in there. If I click the plus, then it puts in another
little blank clip. Maybe I wanted to put text in or something
like that in there. So I really need to just get
rid of that clip like so. So if you do have that watch
out for the little plus, if you pop it in
there, just delete it. And you're back
again. To how it was. Anyway, carry on as you were.
39. Create Avatars and Animated Character: Now, I completely
understand that there's some people
who don't like to record themselves and would rather have an avatar
or something like that, doing the speaking for them. And once again, it's
fairly easy with Express, and I'm also going to show you a Google way of doing this, as well, which I
find a lot more. Well, accurate, shall we say. Anyway, let's close
this one down. And what I'm going to do
is I'm going to click on the little plus up here. I'm going to go
to Quick Actions. And one of those actions that we have is called the
animate character. Now, you've got lots
of characters here. Just scroll up and down, find something that
looks like you, anything that you want to use in here. I'm gonna go with Ming. He's a lot younger than I am. But anyway, I like
that character. And then we can also
scale the character up and down in the little window where
he's going to be talking. Let's see if there's anybody else that we might want to use. I'm pretty happy with that. So let's go to the background, and we can then choose to either have a
transparent background, so you'll be able to just drop this onto any
background that you've got, or you can go along
and choose from one of these existing
backgrounds in here. Or you can just use
a custom color, to be honest or upload
your own image. So let's try uploading an image in here and
see what it looks like. I'm just going to go and find a picture of some
description in my downloads. I'm going to use that nematics
that we created before. So I'm just going to say open, and there he is standing
in front of that. And then size wise, over here, we can decide where
it's going to go and you've got Instagram, Facebook, et cetera, or
a custom size in there. I'm going to keep
that as a square. All you have to do then
is to record this. So I'm just going to say
enhance speech as well, so it sounds even better. So let me click on record. Hi. My name's Tim. I wear these really cool blue
shoes and live on a boat. Now, we just have to wait a little while while it
does all of that for us. We can actually see the animation and we
can play it back. Hi, my name's Tim. I wear these really cool blue
shoes and live on a boat. Right. That's quite fun, really. So all I have to do
is download that now or open it in an editor. If I just click on Open Editor, and then we go back
again to over there. So that's one way of
creating a character. And well, it's as
simple as that. We can download
that and then drop it into our other video. The other way that we can
do that is by using Google. Now, I've opened this up. What you need to do
is to go to labs dot Google forwardslash FX
or just Google Google. Google Whisk. This is the one that
we want in here. So Google Google Whisk. And I'm going to launch Whisk over here and I'm going
to say Enter Tool. Now, it takes us into this area. If you don't see these
little windows, by the way, just click on little
arrow on the side. And this enables us to
then create still images and mix them together with
subjects, scenes and styles. And then once you've
create your image, you can then do a
video from that. So I'm going to go
to the subject, and rather than entering text, I'm going to upload an image. And I've got an image on my
desktop over here of me. I just a screenshot from one
of the videos. There we go. You can see I'm sort
of sitting there looking quite serious with
a guitar in the background. Now, the scene, you can
put in whatever you want. I'm going to leave that blank, but if you want a different
scene, you can do that. And then in the
style in the style, I'm going to say enter text, and I'm going to say
animation anime style. And let's click on Generate. And then once again,
you've just got to wait for it to do its thing. Right. You can
carry on describing what you want in here as well. But I'm just going to leave that blank and click the
little go button. And it will now
generate an image or two based on those two prompts. Okay. That is not
what I was expecting. Well, let's put in a
brief description. Right. Sitting looking at
camera ready to record. Right. So we've got two more, which are a little
bit more accurate. I like this one over here. It's not quite me, but
it's not bad at all. I'm gonna click on
Animate over there, and then I need to
tell it what to say. Right, so I popped
in. Hi I'm Tim. I love on a boat. I live. I live on a boat with Ali, my wife, and our cat, Fuji. Let's click the button
and see what we get. Well, that sounds like it
says I'm Tim. I live on it. It says that I live with Ali
and my wife and our cat. So I might have to
just change that a little bit over there
with Ali, my wife. And our cat Fuji. Um, so I can actually
take out my wife. I'm going to say
with Ali and my cat. But the accent is
wrong because I've got a British accent with a little bit of South African
added in there as well, because that's my background is. Right, so I've changed
this a little bit. I've actually told it
to say, Hi, I'm Tim. I live on a boat with
Ali and our cat Fuji, and I've told her to
use a British accent with a touch of South African. Let's see what happens. Let's see what this
does. Hi, I'm Tim. I live on a boat with
Ali and our cat Suji. Hi, I'm Tim. I live on a boat
with Ali and our cat Suji. Well, it's put in the
subtitles as well, which is quite good, I suppose. It might need a lot more work on it to get the
accent vaguely right. However, what you can do
without going down too much of a rabbit hole here
is you can actually just download it with
the incorrect accent. It's not your accent per se, or doesn't sound like you. And there's a number of different AI models that will allow you to put your voice
onto a piece of video. Now, we're not going to
go all the way down that. You can experiment
with that by yourself. But what I did was I've done it over here myself
with another one. So I put my voice
in so you can see. Hi, I'm Tim. I'm your Adobe instructor today. So you can see from that you can put your own
voice in there, too. So if you don't like being
in front of the camera, you can always try this.
It's really called. It's a lovely way of getting something
really interesting. I prefer this character
to the last one, but as I said, it'll
need a bit of work. All you've got to do is
click the download button to download it from here. Anyway, have a lot
of fun with that. It's a really cool little tool, and it comes from Google
Labs, and it's called Whisk.
40. Add a Last Video: Let's put in the final
piece of video at the end. So I'm going to go along to media and I'm going to
find a piece of video. Now, obviously, if
you've got something you want to put in
once you put in all the other bits of
video, you can upload it. But I'm actually going
to say search video because I'm looking
for some rivers. And I could type it in or
I just happened to have typed in before to check them out before I
showed them to you. Yeah. Now, we've got a number of different rivers in here. I really like this
one of the Thames, which goes through London. So I'm going to click
on it. I'm going to add it to the scene at the end. Now, I want it to
be full screen. Rather than grabbing the end and trying to make it bigger, there's just a fit
video button up here. If you do that, you can
see we can just fit it in, and then I can pull
that over in there. Those of you who have
never been to London. This is known as Tower Bridge in there and that's
called the Shard. It's a really tall building. And yes, you can go up to
the top and overlook it. And this is the River Thames. Now, I don't want
the whole thing. I'm going to go to this little
slider at the bottom and just drag it over to the left
so I can see everything. That's a zoom in and
out button over there, and I just want to use a
small section like so. So, let's have a look at
that ending over there. Right, I think maybe we could do with a bit of
a transition in there. And once again, I will
just experiment with a dissolve so we
can dissolve those. I'm going to click
on that and I'm going to have a slightly
longer dissolve, maybe just 2 seconds over
there because this is the end and it's kind slowly going
out. Let's see how that looks. Yeah, that'll work. So let's just play
that second bit. I live over there Fuji. And we fade into
that for our end. We obviously need to put some texts and other
bits in there, but have a go a video in
for the ending. Yeah.
41. Add a Voiceover to the Outro & AI Enhance It: Now, I'd like to have a bit of a voiceover with this
particular video, and there's an
easy way to do it. I'm just going to click
on the last video, not on that one there because I wanted to come in over here. And I'm going to go to Media and here it says,
Record yourself. We've done this before, but
this time we're going to do it slightly differently because I don't want my face in there. I'm going to click
Record yourself. Over here, I'm going
to start recording, and I just want a few seconds. So start recording. Join us on our Adventures. Oh, I didn't like
that. Let's stop recording and start that again. So start recording. Join us on our adventures
through the Rivers of London. Let's stop there.
Now, I've done that. I'm going to click
Save Recording. Don't just close this down
because you'll lose it. So Save recording,
and it pops it in. Look at that face
there. Let's try that out and see if it works. Join us on our adventures
through the Rivers of London. Okay, so it sounds okay. I'm happy with that.
It's very loud, but we'll deal
with that shortly. But what I'm going to do is I'm going to go to the
layers over here, and I'm going to move this
underneath the other layer. So it's just sitting behind
it so we won't see it. Now, to select it, by the way, you just click it in the
layers to select it there. And I'm going to
go to the volume, and I'm going to
pull the volume down quite a lot because
I think it was far, far too loud because I was right by the
microphone for that. So let's have a look
and see how this works. And GatoGi join us on our adventures through
the Rivers of London. It's okay. It doesn't
sound too bad, but it does sound a
little bit echoy. So I'm also going to
do something else. I'm going to click
on the Enhanced speech button over there. And that will just go through the sound using AI and enhance the speech and make
you sound a whole lot better, more sort of studio quality. Right, let's see what
that sounds like. J. Join us on our adventures through
the Rivers of London. That's so much better
now that speech doesn't sound like I'm in
a sort of a small box. Anyway, do have a bit
of a go with that and put in. This is called an Outro. So you have an intro
at the beginning, Otro at the end, and then we'll do one
more thing on here.
42. Add a Final Effect: Now, we're going to
animate this out. So I'm just going to make sure that I've got the timing right. Inches through the
Rivers of London. Okay, so that's about right. I might shorten that
just a little bit. I'm going to click
on the Plus and say, Upload from device. And I'm going to find
the generated version. Well, this is a
slightly different one that I generated as well when we looked at
generating the other one. So slightly different
brings in my name in there, and we will shorten that
up a little bit, as well. So it'll just go from
there. Who's of London? Into there. I just
want that to come in, so you can sort of see my
name appearing underneath it. And then I'm going to
click between those two. I'm going to add a
transition over to Dissolve. Click on the little icon
to get the duration, and we'll make it say 3 seconds, so we get a slow dissolve
between those two. Let's try that last bit out
through the Rivers of London. And we get a slow dissolve. Into that where my name
comes up at the end. Of course, I could
reuse this one over here if I wanted more
continuity in there. Anyway, have a bit of a go. Put in something at the end, and then we will download
this to get the final result.
43. Fade In & Out and Then Download: Now, you can see I've changed
my end one to the same as the beginning because
I thought it would look a little bit
better that way. But there's two
things that we'll do very quickly before
we download this, and that is to fade this in and fade it out
on the other side. You see, when this
comes in, it's just straight in like that. If I wanted to fade
it in slightly, I can click on this first
video and over here, I go to animation, and you can see we've got ins and outs. I'm going to go to out Sorry, I'm going to go to I.
I'd want to fade it in. Click on the fade. I
can click in there, and I can choose the duration. I want that to be
quite a fast fade in, so I'm not going to
even go up to a second. Now, let's play that so you
can see when it starts. It actually starts as white. And that's because of
the background color. If I go to the
background color up here and change that to black, now it should start out being absolutely
black over there, so it's black, and it fades in. Let's do the other side, go to the end over here, this one. And once again, I'm going
to say fade out this time. I'll click on fade over there. I'll make it a slower fade out over there over
a few seconds. So when we play this
now, I just fades out. Once again, it's
fading out to white. Let's just change the
background color to black or any other color
that you like to be honest. And now when we play it, it'll
just fade slowly to black. Right. We're gonna click
on Download MP four. It's gonna be ten ATP, which is the original size. We're going to download that, and there it is
pretty much done. Let's have a look at
the final result. Hi. I'm Tim. I live and work on
a beautiful barge traveling the canals around
London with my wife, Allie and our cat, Fuji. Join us on our
adventures through the Rivers of London.
And there it is. I hope yours look way
better than mine, and that you've done
something really cool. Anyway, enjoy it. There's lots of techniques in there
that you can apply to all sorts of other
different projects.
44. Well Done & Thank You: Congratulations. You've reached
the end of this course, and I'm sure you're
feeling really confident about using AI with
graphic design now. Now, don't forget to follow
me and leave a review. It really helps us to create
more courses for you. And do have a look at the
other courses that I do. There's lots of knots in Adobe, affinity, Procreate,
and Canva, as well. And I shall see you
in the next one.
