The next one, don't wear a hat when you are in the house. Thai people will not wear hats when they are inside. In the past, people believe that wearing a hat inside was disrespectful to other people in the house. There is another ti belief that wearing a hat in the house will make you bold in the future. Disbelief was to scare people into not wearing a head inside. However, people may have thought this because it's hot in Thailand. If people wear a head inside, then they may become sweaty and could make their hair unclean, which could cause problems in the future for their hair. Also, if a person wears a head inside, then the people around them may not see their clearly. This could make them worry as they may think they could be a criminal Take off your shoes when go into a temple or house ties believe that a temple is a sacred place and people should take off the when going inside a temple to show respect to Buddha. Also, taking off your shoes when going into people's homes is seen as good manners in Thailand. This is because outdoor shoes can get dirty and you will show respect to the people living there when take off your when enter their home. The next one, don't touch anyone's head. Thai people believe that the head is the highest part of the body and we should not play with it. So to be respectful, don't touch anyone's head. Also in the past this believe in magical things where those who had Tai tattoos or Andra could be protected from black magic and lucky things could happen in their life. One of the rules for this to happen though was to not let your head go under the clothes hanger or the magic of a tattoo network. So ties do not let anyone touch or play with their head. But you can touch anyone's head in an affectionate way if they are in your family and they are younger than you. However, those who are younger can only touch older people's head if they're around them to touch it or play with their head. The next one, don't pass any stuff by throwing. Timers are to pass stuff hand to hand and not to throw things to pass them. That's because throwing the item cause injury to the person who throw them to or can break the item. Don't use your feet for pointing this. Believe that the feet are the lowest part of the body and people should not use them to point at anything, especially food. The next one, don't show public displays of affection. Sometimes showing affection is a good thing for a relationship. But in the past in Thailand, public forms of affection like hacking, touching, or kissing should only be done in private. Older generations believe that showing a fiction publicity is too intimate and they don't want children to see this as they believe it will set a bad example for them. Nowadays though, Thai people are more open to seeing couples holding hands, hacking, and kissing in public, but it is still not a common thing to do. So when you want to show affection to your partner in public, then you should consider the place where you are at. For example, don't do this in a temple or in a place that has older people or children. 14. Thanks and Bye + Class Project : Okay, so we are now at the end of this course.
