1. Introduction with course lessons: Hello, everyone. In this video, they will explain your something about what we are going to cover in the scores. Learn some stuff about how things work, the lasting conclusion. So first we are going to learn how to use photo shop. After that, we will go and cover some basics. Create Your Workspace: like I promised in a previous video. In this video, we are going to create our workspace. So we are going to make some changes up here and you will say in a minute, or guys, you can just simply stay with this stock workspace that for the shop offer you I really like and prepare toe work with my own custom mate workspace because I found it really helpful in some situations so I can show you how to create workspace like I do have and the workspace that I'm going to use through the course. Creating New Project: Now let's go ahead and create a new document for creating a new document. There is couple ways we can use. Sure cut. Or we can go up here that file, then hit, new or hit just control and or command and a few years in Mac. So with the new photo shop, we will get this window from up here. As you can see, this is what I recently used. Those are saved. This is photo print art and illustration. Web Mobile film and media Basically, we are going to use something for a Web, but we will create it from up here. Those are presets, that photo shop offer to us. So let's go ahead and create on your document from up here. Where will go and type some name? Let's go just type practice and to give all seeing a second when I hit, Create up here will stay practice. This is the resolution of the full HD picture. As you can see with 1920 by 10 80 with pixels from up here, we can change the inches centimeters millimeters point on stuff like that for Web. We don't need 300 pixels per inch resolution we will go with 72 later. In the course. I will explain your difference between saving files for a Web or for a print and stuff like that. Okay, let's go again. Type 72. Now let's name it practice, too. I'm showing you this just to practice a little bit to make you active. So once again, let's go it create and there we have it. Our second file is ready. So that's everything you need to know about creating a new file for now, and the later we will discuss about image size they mentioned and a resolution in photo shop. Now, when you select tools, you'll notice that bar up here change. Let me go grab some different stools and as you can see this bar change with each stool as you can see this is all tools in photo shop, and this is something that you are need to understand that you can see this is a foreground color, and this is the background color by default. Foreground color is black and the background color ease white. If I go impressing this icon, it feels fab. Those two colors or we can use acts as a shortcut to swap those two colors. Let's go and change some color toe a red or something just in a second to show you my press X, it will automatically stop those two colors. If I press on this icon, it'll automatically bring up the false settings for this option. As you can see, it's will automatically bring up the black color for us. So let's continue. If we go up here at the top of the windows, you will see the standard option bar across the top. From up here, we can access variety controls and initiate some of the creative features in photo shop just under the top bar, we got control panel, as I mentioned before. When I select some tool, it will automatically change and give us some other options for a particular item select and control panel goes over the entire width of the screen just under the menu bar. This control panel is really useful, and it will display variety properties an option off particular tour. Moving to the right side, we got some panels visible as another slim panel weight icons. Those icons represent panels that can be made visible by clicking on that. If I click up here, once panel will expand and we can make it again back to the icon. If I press one more, as you can see next this, we have some panels that are already visible, as you can see color or scratch Here. Currently, we also can see libraries. If you look carefully, you can see those panels include another panel as a top. For example, those two were up here layers, channels and pats for the shop, allow a store range and customized those panel whatever you like. And from up here, we can see documents name now. Sometimes you will have four or five documents opened at once, so let me show you something. Let's goto file and create new fight. It doesn't matter. Let's go with this resolution. Just hit, create on once more. Yeah, create a new fire. Okay, Okay. We can navigate and swap from one document to another in a second. Just like that. Different Ways To Open Files: Now let me introduce you with saving in photo shop. So first, let's go ahead and create an your document. Let's go to file, then go new. It doesn't matter which resolution you choose for this one. I just want to show you a couple things. Now let's go ahead and open one document. I will open this cat now. I will pick, Move, tool, and bring this image inside of it. So as you can see now, we got our background and the layer one The layer one is the file that we are just exported . So if I want to save this file, I will go hit control as and we will get this window open. As you can see from up here, we can change your name. Lets go. I will type something like practice. Okay. And from up here, we can change a type. This is the source file. We cannot upload this file on Facebook or stuff like that. If we want toe upload our fire, we will go with Jay Pack or something like PNG and stuff like that. But for now, let's go stay with this. Be as the okay. When I hit safe. Now, As you can see from up here, it says our file name is practice. So let's go and add a new layer just to show you something. As you can see, this appeared this star or acts call it whatever you like. This is the photo shop telling us we have something that's not saved in photo shop. So if we again come up here and heat control ass or command as it feel, save it in our document. And now we can go and continue with our board. So let's go ahead. Try. The second way is by hitting together all shift control and S and guys. As you can see, we got this window that say's safe for work. From up here we can change preset. We can say, with PNG 24 J pack and the stuff like that from up here we can change gift J pack PNG AIDS 24 on and heat map. So from appear if I go with Jay pack, we can change a quality below. We got image size that says with IHS 1920 by 10 80 This change is activated by the fall and from up here if we wish to get this image smaller for around 50% will just type up here 50% and it will reduce the size for 50%. 18. This is really easy to understand. So this is the second way how to save in photo shop. Okay, Able hit. Cancel. We can get the same effect by coming up here at the file. Then go export. And from up here, see, for rap legacy, that's the same weight. It will open the same window for us gay. And the third way is let's go up here again, Export. And now let's go, Export ass. Now s You guys can see it's the similar window like the previous one. From up here, we can change a format. J. Paige, gift quack and the PNG. This is the image size. We can scale it. And from up here, we can scale it. Let's go type something like this. We can get it twice. And this is the benefit of this option, as you can see and just export all and photo shop will export everything for us. Okay, Now, if we want to save this layer Onley in a second, we will go right click on it and just hit quick Export Asa PNG. And it will asks us where we want to save it and just hit safe. If we need from up here to save us a J pack instead off PNG, we can get that done by coming up here at he added than preferences then, general. OK, now, from up here, we got export. And if I go and change from up here J pack and hit, let's go with quality with 100 and heat. Okay. Now, when I right click on it from up here, Yes. See export as Jay back. That's it. If we click up here, export as we will get the same window like we got before. Okay. And as you can see from up here, we got this star that says something. It's not safe. So that's how you can save in a different ways in pro Tasha. But in most cases we will go save our files s a P as the PNG or maybe sometimes as a J pack . Each format has their own benefits. I will explain you later in the course. What's the benefit of J. Pac or P s, the or the PNG file and the other files in photo shop. So see you guys in the next video by 6. Introduction With Layers In Photoshop: as the new food. A shop user you're gonna find that layer panel are incredible. Powerful tool. The Layers panel give you ability to isolate individual pieces of content away from the rest off composition, giving you ability toe work on individual elements within overall document. They also keep you organized. You want to keep all of your content separated if possible, because that's going toe afford you the most flexibility when working inside of photo shop . For example, if you wanted to change the appearance of this rectangular because it's on its own lier, it's really easy. If it waas match down here with the background player, it becomes far more challenging at that point. But if we want to change, let's say the size of the rectangular. All you need to do is select layer and then choose still. In this case, I'll use free transform tool, which is control T for Windows users or command thief or Mac, and then you can make your own modifications. So what we'll do is just make this a little bit smaller, and once I happy, I'll press enter or return key. So by having this on its own individual, there it was really easy. And where were quick to make a modification toe That piece of content. You have the ability to turn the visibility off layers on and off. For example, maybe you want to look at this image without the rectangular to see what it would look like . All I have to do is turn off their visibility. You can now save aversion off this document without the rectangular, but you still have the rectangular information within the native Photoshopped document, so if you ever needed to turn it back, you can do it. You can easily create new layers by coming up down there towards the bottom of the layer panel and clicking the new layer button. With this new layer, you could odd any content or paint any pixels that you would need to improve this composition. If you decide you don't want the layer, simply remove it by clicking the trash Can. I'll go ahead and confirm this, and you also have options for individual layers in terms off Phil and capacity again, giving you further control over this layer interact with all other layers withing the document with this rectangular layer selected maybe a one to drop the A pass ity down a little bit. By doing that, I introduced pixels in the background into the foreground. Off this layers, there is also blending mode options so we could come over and choose the type player. In this case. Right now, the blend mode is set to normal, but you can see there's all sorts of different blend mode. Honestly, you could spend on entire course on blending moods, but right now, if you just experiment with them, you'll begin to see what they do and what they accomplished. Basically, you're controlling how the foreground pixels interact with the background pixels. Adobe build in several tools to stay organized with your layer spinal by clicking this little full their icon, and you can also filter your layers. It's not uncommon toe. Have hundreds off layers. Move Tool: in this video. I want to introduce you away. The most comment tool that you're probably gonna use when you're working in photo shop. Name of that'll is moved toe. The most important thing when you're working in photo shop is to stay organized. Sometimes we will use, for example, we one document we will have, like 50 or even mawr layers. And from up here I can go click on this icon and add them in a new group or shortcut is control J. As you can see now, all of my text is in one group. This is really important. So now if I wish from appear to add those shapes in one group, I can go click ones appear at that first and on the bottom. By holding shift, it will select automatically. Everything was between those two. So by pressing control J or clicking up here on this icon, I can add those in the group. You think we don't see them? But if I press up here, you see, there are our shapes. So that's it. And now I can go renamed those from up here. I will choose to type something like shapes and up here at the Group one I will also rename and I will type text and that's it. Now, if I wish to add those in a one room, I can see as you can see from up here, I selected those two groups. It doesn't matter. Create And Save Brushes In Photoshop: in this video. I just want to show you how to create your own custom brushes, and maybe you can sell them and earn some cash from it.
