1. Introduction: Hi, I'm Jake. By the
end of this class, you will create this animation
as your class project. I created this new
project for the biggest After Effects
templates market in the world, which is Envato Elements. And also this project is available on video
archive as well. So this is how you can tell that these techniques are up-to-date and approved for sale in the professional world of
motion design templates, It's okay if you are completely
new to After Effects. This list is great
for beginners. We will start easy by
creating texts and learning the basics of
creating reusable templates. Then I'll show you a few
tips as well as I'll show you the quickest ways to
achieve the effect it also, and go to Share if
you're interested in techniques which could be helpful in your future projects, then we will start applying compositing tricks to step up
our look to the next level, we will add powerful and complex but easier
to use methods to modify trails into electric
and fire trail effects. Then I'll show you
how to apply speed light effects to make our
animation even more exciting. And finally, we will add advanced glowed
techniques as finishing touches to finalize
this project. All these steps
will help you learn a lot about logger
and Text Animation. Best part is that you don't need to have any
external plugins. All you need to have is any version of Adobe
After Effects, even the free trial version from Adobe website will work great. Most importantly, this blessed, we'll teach you how to create
a motion design template. You'll be able to change the
text to whichever you want. And it's still will have all this cool animation
which we will create. This is the most comprehensive
class on logo animation. Feel free to ask any questions on any parts of this class. For the class project, you will be creating
this logo animation. Feel free to follow me

classes every week. And now, let's get started.
2. Creating Reusable Design: I'm using Adobe After
Effects 2020 one. But you can use any
version which you have because we are going to
use only built in effects, which comes with any
version of After Effects. I'm also going to use
a standard layout. So you can click here. So this is, should be similar to yours if you're
using standard. But a for some reason
you cannot see some of the panels which
you can see on my screen. For example, this character. You can go to Window
and enable it from here character, character. We can also enable any
other battle like audio. And here it is. I'm going to close it
because I don't need it. And let's create our
new composition. To create a composition,
we need to click here on this icon here. So I'm going to click here. And let's make this composition
may be eight seconds. Dslam is good. Here's a frames here, seconds, here's minutes,
and here's ours. So I'm going to set
to eight seconds, 30 frames per second, and full HD resolution, which is 1920 by 1080. Lets call it final
effect and click Okay. So in this video I want to
show you a bunch of way how to create this starting
part of the effect. And I want to show you the
easiest way how to do this. And the more complex
way where you have the best kind of quality. Because in the motion design, you don't always want to have
the best kind of quality. You just want to get
the idea out from your head into your Adobe
After Effects application. Maybe to show the
clients or to see for yourself if your
idea is working. So this is will be the fastest way to create
this kind of effect. And now I want to
show you how you can create this effect
and more complex, but also this effect in
best quality possible. So for this, you would
want to create a text. We need to select
this text tool. So let's click on it. Then let mouse-like
here and drag like this to create a textbox
where we are going to type. And let's type, maybe sonic. Let's select this text. And here we can make
it a lot bigger. And I am using Montserrat bond, extra bold, or maybe even black. And let's make it Italica,
like the key here. And this is free
font which you can download by the link in
description to this class. I also going to go to
paragraph and click here to make it center
and align panel. Once again, if you cannot
see some of these panels, you can go to Window and enable it from
here, Align, Align. I just want to make it center horizontally by clicking here. And where did we
make we can hear. Now let's set this anchor
point to the middle, because in case if we
would want to animate, it will animate from the center and to set it to the center. Here's a cool shortcut. You can press Control Alt Home. And it says to center,
which is really handy. Let's also work on our text. I just want to make this
text would outline. So I'm just going to click
here on these arrows, which will switch between these. This is our outline
and this is our fill. So fill color, I want
to set it to black. And this outline
color we are going to set to bluish kind of tone. Now let's make it thicker. I'm going to set it to seven. We want to set our
field over stroke. So which means that Phil
will be on top of outline. So let's set all fields
over all strokes. So here is next cool trick. We are going to create this logo animation in the way in which we
can always change this text to whichever
we want and it will still maintain
the animation. So for example here, I can just type any
other word and it will have this kind of
animation as you can see. So let's do exactly that. So for this, we
just need to select this sonic word and go
to layer pre-compose. Now let's call it text one. So let's click wiki. And the best part that we can
open this new composition. And here we can type any text which you
want in the future. Let's go back to
final composition. As you can see, we already created our final
effect composition. And this composition. And what is cool about this, that we can just
duplicate this text layer and move it up and create
any kind of animation. And then go to text. One. Click here, change the
text to whichever we like, go back to final effect. And it still has this effect. So this is why you always
want to pre-compose our texts layers if you want
to have reusable design. And in the next video,
I'm going to show you a few cool tricks on how to create these kinds of effects in the best

3. 3D Text Tricks: Okay, So in this video, I want to show you a cool
trick of duplicating this layer and create a
pretty cool animation. And let me delete this text. One is deleted, and let's duplicate this text
layer a bunch of times. Maybe lake, ten times. You just select your
text layer and press Control D ten times
to get ten copies. And now let's take a
look at this cool trick. You can just select this
first one, hold Shift, and select this last one, and then press B to C position. And here at the beginning, we can create a keyframe. We can just click here. As you can see, we've created a keyframe now just
to this layer, but to all the layers
which we have here, because we've
selected all of them. And by clicking
on the stopwatch, we've created our
first keyframe. So what is keeping good for him is a basically
the point in time, we should remember the
value of certain property. So in our case, this keyframe, remember this value
of property position. So basically positioned
is defined by two values, x and y axis. And if I'm going to
change this value, I'm going to deselect L all of these layers and move around. You can see that I am moving an x axis and here and a y-axis. I'm going to press Control
Z to undo this action. The cool trick
which I promise to you is to select this last one, which is below, and parent
to this, which is on top. And in the same way, you want to parent
this one to this one. So basically you want to
parent the layer below to the layer on top and keep
parenting them together. But make sure that you
parenting all the delayers, not the property of position. And to not mess this up, you can just click here to deselect any of these layers
and press U on keyboard. It will close all of the
position properties. So it will be easier to
see what we are doing. By the way, if you
have any questions on any of the steps
which I'm explaining, you can always ask me in the comments section
to this class, I'm going to answer you
as fast as they can. Just parent each of these layers to the layer
on top, just like this. So basically you should
see these kind of numbers. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. If you did everything right. And now if you will
select this first layer, in this last layer and press B, and let's move it further, like to 1 second. You can move the second value. And you can see this
really cool trick, which I've promised you. This is how you can create this really cool
animation in no time. For example, let's make
it a goal down like this. And you can already see that we have pretty
cool animation. We can even cut
this work area to this moment and press is you're on numpad to preview this. You can see it's really cool animation and it's
done really easy. And these kind of shortcuts
I want to show you in this class and use in
your future projects. By the way, you
can always select your final these
keyframes by clicking and dragging to select all of them and go into
this graph editor. It will allow us to create
more smooth animation. Make sure that you
clicked here and changed to Edit Speed Graph. So make sure that
you select all of these keyframes and
press F9 on keyboard, it will make animation smoother. And this graph shows
us that this animation starts really fast and
then it slows down. But by clicking on this handle, left mouse click and hold
and drag to the left. We can make it this
animation even more fast at the beginning
and slower at the end. And now we can exit this
graph editor and spread these keyframes a bit and this work area and
pressing 0 on numpad. And now as you can see, we have this really cool animation are really best animation to the
start and slow at the end. Which also looks really cool. And by the way, to
make it even more fun, you can click here
under this 3D icon. Well selected all
of these layers. You can just click. And it will turn every
layer to the 3D layer. Let's press B to C
All the position. I'm going to press
beer once again. And now I see my position. I can select all of these keyframes and
move it even in 3D. Let's move it to the right and just left clicking
and moving to the right. And we've moved all of
these layers in 3D space. And as you can
see, we can create this cool effect manually. And a, we can have
full control over it. If you are more experienced
users of Adobe After Effects, you can also go to Layer New and create a new camera
and click Okey. And with this camera,
you can press B on position and move it in 3D. And as you can
see, we can change the camera angle as well as
we can fly through this text. And this will be the most
complex way to do this. By the way, to get the
best quality of the text, you need to select all of these compositions
and click here. Under this star icon, which will maintain the
best quality possible. But as you can see, we've
lost our 3D capability. And to face this,
we need to open this text composition
because they are sourcing this main
text one composition. So let's click on any of them and we will get
to this text one. And to fix this issue, we just need to click here to make it as a 3D layer as well. Now let's go back to
the final effect. And as you can see, it
works fine once again. But this time, when we zoom in, you can see that these edges are crystal-clear and really crisp. So this is basically
how you can get the best quality
possible of this effect. And by the way, to animate
your camera properly, you need to reset it and
create a null object. And then parent to
this null object. And then by clicking here to
make it this null object 3D, we can actually move through the text much more
easily, just like this. But I want to keep
this class more simple and easier to understand. So we will not use this kind of technique because it's
heavy on the computer. In our case, we don't need this much quality to
make this effect. So let's delete this
null and camera one to go back to what
we started with the way, let me show you
another cool trick. You can just select this
layer and press D to C, our capacity, and set it to
a really low value like 20. And then let's select all of these breastfeed
and each of them, Let's set it to a bit
higher value for the 50, 60, 70, 80, and 90. And as you can see in this way, we can add this kind of effect. Like it's getting dimmer, the partner it gets. This technique is really
fun to play around. And let's select
all these layers and change this opacity to 100. And I want to press P on
keyboards and set this z-space to 0 and move it a
bit up like this. And as you can see,
I've made a mistake. I change the position, not been on top
of the keyframes. So basically now we have
created another animation. So let's select
these keyframes and delete them and make sure that you're on top of the
keyframes if you don't want to add another animation. So now I am on top
of the keyframes. And I also can verify
that I'm on top of the kidneys by these
lights up keyframes. If I move this time cursor
is, you can see it. It didn't light up. And here, as I'm sitting on
top of it, it's LAITS up. And now if I'm going
to change this to 0 and move it a bit like this. In the y-axis. You can see that I'm still
on top of the keyframes and I didn't add any more animation. And by the way, if these
outlines distracting you, you can always press Control Shift H and you
will see only your text. And to enable it, you can also press
Control Shift H. So I am going to press Control
Shift H to disable it. And at this tutorial, I want to show you this final cool trick. And just let me select
all of these layers, less spread it a bit like this. By the way, you
can create more of these layers and
spread it up also. And what do you want
to do is to slay this top one and go to effects and perspective and
apply affect, Drop Shadow. And let's upload it out. Change the distance. And basically we're
adding shadows on top of these layers is
you can see here. This is really cool
effect also because we can now select this
drop shadow effect. Press Control C. And then let's click here to deselect
any of these layers. Let's close all of these steps by pressing U on the keyboard. And then just select each of these layers like this and
press Control V to paste it, paste it on this one, based on this one, to paste our drop shadow
effect which you've copied by pressing
Control C and paste it. We are pressing Control V. So I am going to based
on each of these layers. And in this way is you
can see we've added an even a more 3D feel
to this effect, which looks even more cool

create this kind of effect. Here. I'm not using
a bunch of layers, I've just using two layers
to create this effect. And this is the most easiest
way to achieve this effect. And that's faded
in too much time to get this really

4. 25 Copies in One Click: Okay, so now we
know how to create this really complex and
professional look InDesign. But in our case, we will have this
really fast animation, which will take only 1 second. And we don't really
need to have all of that quality to make
this effect because it goes that fast that it will be just a waste of time to read a bunch of
these texts layers. And in this video, I'm going to show you how you can save all of this time and create
this kind of effect. And just basically two
layers and one echo effect. So let me show you how
to achieve this effect. First of all, I'm going to
delete all of these layers. I'm just saving this one. And I'm going to delete
all of these keyframes. You can just select
them and delete them, or just by clicking
here on the stopwatch. It also will delete
all the key frames. We don't really need to
use this as a 3D layer. So let's click here. To disable this 3D mode. We can also make sure
that it's in the center. It's, it was 540. So now it's in the center. And let's open this
text composition. And by the way, lists also
doing this drop shadow effect. So let's open this
text composition. Here we can just
double-click and type Sonic. And to create that
kind of animation, we just need to apply some
animation on this sonic word. In our case, we don't want
to move around in 3D. It takes more computer power
and we can just disable this 3D mode and press
S on keyboard instead. So basically what
I want to do is to scale up as much as again, maybe just to 1, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 250, and create a keyframe. So as you remember,
keeping is appointed time, which remembers this
value of this property. So here and there, 1 second, I want to
create an animation. I'm going to set
this keyframe to 15. And now I've created
another keyframe. And between these
keyframes After Effects is trying to connect
these two values. So basically it goes
from 10000 to a 150. So 15. Just like this. And now I just want to select this last keyframe and
go to graph editor. As always, I need to
make sure that I am in the speed graph and create
this kind of smooth animation, which goes fast at the
beginning and slow at the end. So I'm going to leave this graph editor and now we
have this kind of animation. So now if I'm going to jump to a final effect composition
and apply echo effect, I could go to effects and presets and just wait
for it to load up. And by the way, if you don't see this effects and presets panel, you can go to Window
Effects and Presets. And also let's save this project because from time to time
After Effects can crash. So I'm going to save
it as class and safe. Let's apply echo effect. Just leftmost click
and drag on top of your layer on which we
want to apply this effect. And you can already see that
we're getting somewhere. Basically with this effect, we are echoing the
source which it has. So our source is our text. And with this echo effect, it knows that it goes from
our camera towards there. And it's basically
creates echoes. And by changing these
numbers of echoes, we can control how much
of echoes we want to add. So on my case I want
to as 25 of them. So basically I would have a
lot of them to play around. And here you can
just play around with this echo operator, which makes a different
kind of result. In our case, we
most likely to use screen because it's
not that interruptive. But you can play through all of these operators and get really fun and
interesting results. For example, this
composite in front, it looks really creative. You're basically
creating this tunnel. And when this composite in back, you basically can
not see anything. So in our case, we want to use screen to get this
kind of animation. And now if I'm going
to press 0 numpad, I can see that this
animation goes a bit slow. So now I want to speed
up this animation. So let's just write mouse-click
eyes and go to time, time stretch and set it to 50, which basically will
make a double the speed, which we already have. Ng-click AKI. So now if I'm going
to press 0 numpad, you can see that it
goes a lot faster, which exactly what you want. And let's keep to
the fifth frame. So we already would have
something on screen. We can press S on keyboard
to see our scale. Let's create a keyframe. And if you will hold Shift
and press R on keyboard, we will see a rotation as well. Alice also create a keyframe. And by the way, to get
to these properties, you can just scroll
it down here and go to the transform and you
see this scale and rotation. But these shortcuts
like S and R, really helps to bring up these
properties a lot faster. So once again, just
press S to C scale. Shift to add to this property and other
property hold Shift. As you can see, I'm
holding Shift and press R. And we've added our rotation. Let's just select
these keyframes and move them to the
right, like this. And here at the beginning, I want to rotate it a bit, maybe to 33 degrees. And let's even scale layer
to add this Zoom and motion, I'm going to set mine to 250. And now as you can see,
we have this kind of animation of zomemim,
but as you can see, we don't really
have this rotation kind of property
working because we need to click here on this
star and it will allow us to rotate it this layer as
we want, just like this. And at this point,
you don't really need to worry about the
quality because it will go so fast that we don't really need the
grease best quality ever. So this animation, I want
to go to the 20th frame. By the way, if you will hold
control and click here, you can skip to the frame
PSM mode or 30 seconds mode. In my case, I am using seconds because here I can
see frames as well. So I said these keyframes to fifth frame and hear
about its 20th frame. I want to move these
keyframes and radiation. So basically it goes to this
standard place where it was. Okay, so now we have this animation and a
weekend could just cut this layer and move
it to the beginning. And we already have this
part of the animation. But now we want to add a
final text layer on top. So we would see this tau
and then our title itself. So to do this, we can just
select this text layer and maybe let's delete
this solids folder because we don't need it. And to add our text itself, we can just select this text one and drop it here as well. We will add this
text on top of it. And as you can see,
it looks pretty cool. But first, if we will
open this texts one, you can see that our
animation ends about here. And if we scroll through, we can also see that
it still goes on. And we don't really want that. And the way to fix this, we want to go to text one in
here after this gibbering, just one frame later, change the scale to the 100%. And to see the scale,
you can just select this layer and press
S on keyboard. And just basically
the next frame, you can set it to 100% and then just go to a final effect. And if I'm going to solo
this layer to see all of this layer and not that
one with the echo effect. You can see that we
have this kind of animation and then it jumps to this 100% of our taste. And at this point we can just cut this layer to this moment just by clicking on this edge
and drag it to the right. And now, if we
will time it well, we can also create an animation
for scale and rotation. So just press S to
scale and hold Shift. Breasts are to see rotation. And scale it up maybe to five AT and rotate it
maybe to 16 degrees. Let's create a keyframes. And a bit later, like here, we can set back to 102% 0. And in this point,
we want to have this really good quality because this text layer will be on
top of our echo effect. So let's we hear to un-solo this layer and see both layers. And as you can see, if
we will set this Test1, which we just animated here. By clicking on this icon. We will get these
really crisp quality and it will go on top. So the viewer will
be disrupted by this really good quality
and will not notice this, not the perfect quality. So let's select
these both keyframes and go to the Graph Editor. And once again, we can create
a more smooth animation. And our case, we
want to deselect these keyframes and
select one by one. Just select this square here. Click on this little handle. And by the way, if you cannot click on this little handle, just like here, to zoom in. So it will be easier
to see this handle and drag it to the left
and to this baseline, as well as select this keyframe. Click on this handle, drag it to the left,
click and hold, drag it to the left, and drag
on top to this baseline. So basically we will have
this kind of animation. And finally we can go out from this graph editor and
we want to time it. Well, maybe let's
move it a bit like this and make it this
animation a bit faster. Just like this. So these keyframes, I've
said at 23rd frame, and these keyframes
I've said to 11. And if you will
set your keyframes to the same places as I did, you'll basically get
the same outcome. So let's cut this
echo effect here and now press 0 numpad
to see preview. So this is basically
how you can easily add this kind of animation
and have 25 copies. And is again, see, we didn't really create any of the copies. And this echo effect basically
made all work for us. And the next video we
will customize this look even more to get
a better result. See the next video.
5. Adding Blur for Speed: Okay, so let's work on
this effect even more. Maybe let's make this color a bit more bluish and a
more saturated with Wiki. And go back to
final composition. As you can see, it's
already updated. And this is what's really cool about this effect
that you can at any point change this text
to any text which you like. And it still has this
kind of animation. By the way, just noticed
that we have this kind of annoying effect where we get
this really bright outline. And the way to fix this, we can just go to the text and just
spread these keyframes, copy this last one, and paste it here and
maybe even set it to 0. Basically. So we would, wouldn't have any taste
at this moment in time because it's still
translates to this echo effect. And in this way, we get
rid of this problem. But now if we will
enable this text on top, we just need to scroll here and find the moment where we
have our text at default, select the selection tool and move this animation
to this point. Let's move it this
time cursor here, cut it to these keyframes, and move it to this
time of coarser. So now it works pretty well. We can even make
this animation a bit slower just by right mouse
click on this layer with the echo effect on this layer and go to
time, time stretch. And let's set it to 60 percent. So it will be a bit slower. And maybe at this point, I want to breastfeed on
keyboard to see our capacity. So about here where
we can see our text, we can set a keyframe. And about here where
it's most out weekend, set it to 0. So it will fade out,
maybe even faster. Okay, at this point, I want to change this
text to the sonic. So let's change it
here to the sonic. And to improve this
effect even more, we can just simply click
here on this motion blur. It's added more motion blur to cover up not the perfect
edges of this effect. And to add even
more motion blur, we can just go to
effects and presets and type CC Radial fast blur. So here is CC Radial fast blur. And let's drop it here. On this layer below. And here we can just
apply as much as we like. We can also scroll through the zone and change
to any kind of look with you like I feel like this darkest
works the best. Because we get in this kind of more three-dimensional look with the darkest parts
and brightest parts. Wishes really gives a
sense of the speed. And the next video I am
going to show you how to add this kind of
electricity kind of look. And to complement this
effect even more, we will add this kind
of finally Trail. See you the next video.
6. Simple Trails Effect: Okay, at this point we already have a really
cool animation, the beginning, which blends
nicely with our texts. And now let's make this
text even more exciting. First of all, I want
to add glow effect, which will make it
more interesting. So let's go to effects and
presets and type glow. We will use the basic
law here under Stylize, globe, left-click, and
drag and drop here. And let's customize
this glow a bit. We can change this intensity to, to, to see it better.
Let me zoom in. And by the way, to the
man that you can just use the wheel on the mouse
to zoom in and zoom out. And by changing
this glow radius, we can see that we can make this tight glow or a bit wider. In our case, this one, I want to set pretty wide. So I'm going to set to 42 and maybe change the
threshold to 84. It will add more color to it. And to make this law
even more pronounced, we can just select this glow and press Control D to duplicate it. And this low I want
to make a lot wider. So let's crawl it and
maybe let's set it to really big value like
350 and intensity. Let's keep it settle
and set it to 1. So at this point we have this saddle and really
nice-looking low. But here is another cool
trick which you need to remember when you are
working with the glow. It's really good idea to go
to the project to change this from eight or 16 bits
per channel to the 32. It will allow us to get
more control over our glow. So hold Alt key on keyboard. As you can see, I'm
holding Alt and left mostly hero until you get
to 32 bits per channel. As you can see, it creates a much richer glow as a result. So now we can just continue working with our
effect and let's add electricity trails using
the built-in effects in Adobe After Effects. And we will apply this
electricity effect on different copy of this layer. So let's select this text layer and press Control
D to duplicate it. At this point, the weekend just shut these both layers for now. So it will not load
up our computer. And let's select this top
one and disable these glows. So our computer would work fast. And now let's go to effects and presets and type
here of beggars. So let's apply this
effect here on top of our glow on this text layer. And let's customize it a bit. As you can see, this effect
creates these kind of dashes. We want just one dash
on each of these lines. To see it better. We can just go to the
blend mode here at rendering and change
to the transparent. So now we can see all
the these lines which are generated. The vagus effect. Let's make this length of the lines a bit
smaller, maybe 2.47. So it only will give this
kind of nice-looking outline. And let's move it to the
beginning of this layer. And here at the beginning
we can just create a keyframe for the rotation. So let's create a keyframe by
clicking on the stopwatch. Let's maybe set the
rotation to a minus 70 and scroll it through
here on timeline. And let's set it to
maybe minus 270. So basically with this rotation, we are animating
this lines moment. Now our animation will go
from minus 70 to minus 270. And let's select
this layer and press U on the keyboard to see these keyframes which
we just created per rotation of our vagus effect. And let's spread
these keep rings. And once again, let's
delete this last one. Go to the Graph Editor
and make sure that it will start fast and
slower at the end. I want this animation to
take about two seconds. So let's spread it
wide like this. And maybe let's select this
first keyframe and press F9. So it will start a bit
slower than here of pest, slower towards the end. We can also animate this width. If we will change this width, you can see that it
gets more pronounced. So here at the beginning, I want to set it to five. So it would be bigger. Set a keyframe. And here at the end, I want to change to a
small value like 0.5. So it will get
really, really small. So now if we will
press is your numpad. We already see this kind of cool animation which fades out. And the next video we are
going to customize it even more so it would not
look just like a line. See you next video.
7. Electric and Fire Trails: Okay, so let's customize
this look even more. We can apply an effect
called turbulence displays. Just type here turbulent, select it and drop it
on this text layer. Let's set it before glow. And we can play around
with this size. So basically this
amount controls how much displacement we
want to apply and the size. As you can see, if we will
set to smaller value, we will get smaller gaps
between this displacement. So I want to set the size
really small, like 24. And amount, I am going
to set it to 50. And to give even more
complexity to this effect, we can duplicate this
turbulence displays. Just select it and press
Control D to duplicate. And with this turbulence
displays two, we can set the size to two. And now with this second one, we've added even more
details to our displacement. And at this point, I
want to add some blur. So let's add a Gaussian blur, fast blur, and drag it here below the
turbulence displays. Let's set it maybe
25 or maybe seven. And here's another cool trick is to apply the curves effect. Just type it here,
curse and drop it below gaussian blur and change this channel from RGB
to alpha channel. In this way, we can control only alpha channel and make
radian this kind of curve. We can taper this
kind of effect. And now by Jason
disguise a gambler, we can control how much
Baden n we want to apply. I'm going to set mine to eight. I think it was good for now. Then we can apply an
effect called fill. With this effect, we will control the color
of this effect. So here we can set it to this kind of bluish
color and click. Okay. And finally, let's add another instance of
turbulence displays. And with this
turbulence displace, we want to set the size to, to, to get this rough edges and change this amounts to
really big value like 175. So it will resemble
electricity even more. And by the way,
with this curves, we can always change the
thickness of these lines. And now as you can see, we get this kind of cool animation. Again, see when I scroll
through this animation, we really get this animation
like it's moving around, but it doesn't really change here in the
middle parts of it. So to face this end, to make it more interesting, we can add animation
to our evolution. So basically, to create
simple and easy animation, we can hold alt key
on a keyboard and click on this evolution to our
turbulence displays three, just hold Alt key and a leftmost
click on this stopwatch. And it will allow us
to write expression. So let's just type time, multiply 1, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0, 500, and click Enter or
click anywhere like here. And basically this will create
this kind of animation, like It's moves
around even here. In the middle parts. As you can see, it gives
more life to this animation. And it really gives
it this really interesting and cool
looking result. And finally, we
can add some low. So let's enable
this low or apply another blow if you
didn't save this low. And on this first glow, I want to set this radius to 16, so it would be tighter
and glow intensity. Let's set it to 0.3. So it will be not so bright. And let's enable the
second law or type here, glow and drop it here
if you don't have it. And on the second glow, I want to set the radius to 150. So it will be more pronounced
and intensity a bit lower. So it will be not so bright. And finally, we
can just close it here and set mode to add. And let's enable
this layer below. And with this mode is again see, it blends better
with our outlines. So let's set it to add. And now as you can see,
it really looks cool. And let's click on this
text one and press Enter, which will allow us to name
this layer as we want. Let's type it Electric because we've added this electrode
type of animation. And now it's really easy to
add fire type of animation, which I've showed you
here in the preview. So to edit, we can just select this electric text one and press Control
D to duplicate it. And now we can just
press Enter on keyboard and type it fire. So we would know that
this will be our fire. And pressing U on the keyboard
to see our keyframes. Here at the beginning,
we can change this rotation two
different kind of value. For example, it will
start from 160. So it will not start
from the same place as it would be with
this electric trail. And here at the end, I'll set to minus 180. So our goal with this
animation of predation is so that the second one will
follow this electric one. And now we just need to change our fill color to
this kind of finally, a yellow color and click Okay. And now if we will set
our resolution to full, and at this point we
can just play around with this color and change it. And the way we should
like in my case, I want to get it more reddish. So we will get this kind of more contrast into our colors. I think it looks pretty cool. Let's enable all of
these layers and press your numpad to see what
we got as a result. And as you remember
here, we didn't apply any Anglo effects. So maybe let's apply some low
on this first part as well. Let's select this text one layer and try to
copy these both. Glow effects. Just select one of them called Control
and select other one. Press control C to copy, deselect this first
animation which we have, and press Control V to paste it. And now let's disable
the second one, and let's maybe apply
some Tritone effect. So we will have this kind
of one unifying color. And with this mudstone, we can change it to one
color which we like. Maybe this kind of bluish
color and click Okay. And now with this threshold, we can choose how much of
this glow we want to apply. And with the second one, we can also play
around with this low. For example, we can go with
the threshold really low and intensity really low to get
only the brightest parts. Something like this. At this point I want to make a bit this glow on
the text itself also, because it's looks really
bright here at the start. So basically we can just
select this text layer and set a keyframe here to glow with density here to glow
intensity as well. And here at the beginning, we can drop this
intensity a bunch. Maybe let's set this to
three and this one to 0.2. And let's press here on
API to see our result. Okay, we already have
this pretty cool effect. But in this video, I
want to show you how you can apply this kind of light, which will give even more
interesting kind of look. See you in the next video.
8. Speed Light Trail: Okay, so to add these kind
of cool light trails, we want to duplicate our layer, this main line which we had. So let's select this layer
and maybe let's disable these two layers so our
computer will not blow up. So let's delete
this text layer and press Control D is
duplicated, deleted. These both Glow Effects. And let's apply a
new glow effect on top of this text layer. And let's press Enter to
rename it this text layer. Let's call it trial one and change this blow to maybe 130. Let's also set
this layer to add. So it will apply on top
of our existing design. Now let's say that this
glow intensity to 2.4. So now I want to apply Gaussian blur and crank
up this value really big. So we would have a bunch
of this kind of glow. Let's set it may be to 45. And finally with
the curves effect on top of this Gaussian blur. But first, I want to
stretch this layer. Basically, we want to select this text layer and
press S on keyboard. At this point, we don't
want to have any animation. Just press U on keyboard to
see all of these keyframes. Maybe press one more time. And let's delete all
of these keyframes, but make sure that
your time cursor here at the end and
not at the start. Because if we will delete
these keyframes at this point, it will freeze on our screen. So I'm going to press Control
Z to undo this motion. And make sure that you at the end of the animation
of all of animation. And then just by clicking
here and dragging, you can delete all
of these keyframes. And now with this pick whip, we can parent to
this text layer, which already has all
of this animation. Basically the same we can
do with these both layers. Two, we can just press U
on the keyboard to see our animation of
scale and rotation. This animation that these ones
of Vegas, and delete them. Once again, make sure that you hear at the end of
all of the animation. And then only it can delete
these animations and delete all the
scale and rotation and lateral rotation and width. So let's delete here as well. Then close it here. And parent to this text one. Basically it will repeat all of the animation which
this text layer has. And this text layer
has this kind of animation of rotation
and scaling down. Anyway, parenting these
layers to this one, all of these layers will
repeat this animation. So this is a good way not
to have too much keyframes. When you press U
on the keyboard, you can see it's much
cleaner and we don't have too much keyframes
to worry about. We can simply select this trail one and press S on keyboard, then click on this lock button
and stretch to this layer. I want to stretch it
really big, maybe to 180. And now I can just animate it. So it will go from
left to right. So let's press P on
keyboard, create a keyframe, and let's move it to
the left like this, by changing this first
value to the left, click and drag to the left. Then move this keyframe
here to the beginning, and then move it to the right. Just like this. By the way, if you
will hold Shift, it will move a lot faster. And now we have this
really fast animation, like it's going through. And by the way, by changing
this Gaussian blur from horizontal and
vertical blur to Ali, horizontal, we will get these
kind of stretching effect. Now let's maybe apply
it a lot like this. And with this chorus effect, we can actually select
how much of this effect will be applied and how much
of this effect is visible. So at this point, I think
we don't need this low. So let's select it
and press Delete. We can stretch it even more
by changing this blurriness. And this is basically
how you can get this really cool trail. We can move this
animation a bit further. So it will happened
after this zoom effect. You can time it wherever
you want it to begin. So as you can see, this
is really easy way to create this kind of light trail and to
emphasize this effect even more and blend it
together more nicely, we can just cut this
layer to this moment. Just zoom out and cut this
layer to this moment. And let's zoom in
and just simply select this layer and press
Control D to duplicate it. And this one we can
just move around like this to the right and press U, so it will happen later. But what we want to do
with this second one, we want to change
this position to original position of the text, which is basically 960. So it will appear here and then it will stop here
at the text itself. And we can even make
this animation a bit slower by spreading
these keyframes. Let's select this
last one and go to graph editor and make
it slower at the end. So it will be like a transition. This one will go really fast. This first one, and the second trail will go
fast and slow it down. And here are the
yes, we can press T on keyboard on
this second trail. Let's close this one so
it will not distract us and create a keyframe here, move it a bit before, so it would be at a 100 percent. And here a bit later,
Let's set it to 0. So it will fade out slowly. And let's press F9, so it will make it animation smoother. And on the second trial, we can even press S on
keyboard and change the scale to more
original value to 100%. So it will blend with
our texts even better. And close this layer
and let's press 0, map it to see our trailer. Okay, it looks even
more exciting, is you can see, and we can even spread this animation more. So it will blend a
bit more slowly. So our viewers will have more time to see
what is going on. Okay, In the next
video, I want to add a bit more glow and these
kind of trail effects. See you in the next video.
9. Finalizing the Look: So as you can see at the end, this animation
looks pretty empty. So let's add a bit more glow
and this kind of portrayals. And now this technique
we already know from first video of this class. So let's just
duplicate this layer. Press Control D to duplicate it. Press Enter and type it glow. So we would know this
is the glow one. And let's set it to add. So it will be on top. So in this way, we've
added even more glow, and let's select this text below and delete
all of these laws. So select them and press Delete. So we would not
have too much glow. And by the way, we can
press U on the keyboard and disable this scale
and rotation animation. Just make sure that
you hear at the end of all animation and disable the scale and
rotation, close it. And also a touch, this glow animation as we
did with these layers. To this text layer. Let's maybe even call it text main because this
has main animation. And now basically we can
just select this layer and press Control D to
duplicate it by showtimes. So let's duplicate one time
and let's call it behind one, and let's set it behind. And basically we can just select it and move it to the left. You can use arrow keys and press Shift and then
click Left Arrow. So as you can see, I've
moved a bit to the left. Then we can just press T on keyboard and change this
opacity to maybe 80. And once again, we
want to press you on keyboard to remove this
animation here at the end, remove it and connect
it to this main. Then select this
text one behind one, and press Control
D to duplicate it. Move it below. Hold Shift. Click left arrow to
move it to the left. Press T. Make it even more
transparent by setting this capacity to the
60 or maybe even 250. So we will get some
kind of depth. Once again, select this layer, press Control D to duplicate it, move it below, press
T to C. Our opacity. Set it to maybe 25. Hold Shift and press
the left arrow key. And let's duplicate
one more time. Said it below for as Steve said, this capacity to five. Hold Shift and left arrow key. So we would add this
last kind of trail. So in this way we will have this 3D effect and this design will not
look empty at the end. And by the way, you can
always play around with this amount of transparency. If you feel like
it's too bright. Let's also play 0 numpad to
see what we already have. And finally, I want to
show you how you can add this kind of bar, which is really easy to add, and it's more in spirit
of first trailer. So let me quickly show
you how you can edit. Basically, we can just go to
text1 and duplicated here. And when you duplicate
it and composition here, it will not affect these compositions
which we already have. So for example, we already selected and press Control
D to duplicate it, created this text to then
go in this composition. And we can just simply delete this text and create new
one just by clicking here. Now let's type the
template. For example. Let's change this text
to be a bit smaller. This time we don't
want to use outline. We just simply can just
select this outline. Click Okay, and click
here on this square. So we would not have this
outline by clicking here. And our fill color, we want to set to any
color which you want. In my case, I am going
to set to white. Let's make all the
letters, all caps. And maybe let's stretch
it a bit like this. And by the way, we can apply
an effect called slant. Let's drag it on top. And in this way we can add
more slanted kind of look. So let's align it at the center and maybe a bit
to the left like this. And what is cool about creating
new compositions here, it will not affect the next one. So here we still can change
to any text which you like. And it will update here. And this is separate kind of composition, as
you can see here. It doesn't affect any of these compositions
which we already have. So this is basically
how you can create these kind of logo
animations to use as a template and edit anytime
you can change it to whichever you want and reuse it as many
times as you want. So we've created our text. We can press Control Alt Home to set it this anchor
point to the center, and then press S on keyboard
and make it smaller. And basically now we can
just create a shape layer. At this point, we can just click here to select Rectangle tool. Just let mouse-click and hold and select this
rectangle tool. And let's cover our
texts just like this. Make sure that we selected our stroke and click
on this word stroke. And set it to none
and click Okay. And here we can also
apply this slant effect, which I've talked about before. Here, NFS and presets, you can just type in slant and
apply on this shape layer. And we can just let it
as much as we like. 34 looks good. And let's just move it here
and move this layer below. And by pressing S on keyboard, you can just click here to be able to change
all the x axis. And you can just
squish it a bit if you want to fit your text more. Let's move these both
layers to the left, so it would be more in the center and
change the position. We can also press Enter on the shape layer and
call it a textbox. And finally, we can change this track matte
to alpha inverted. So basically it will use this text as a cutout
of our shape layer. And if I am going to press on this toggled transparency grid, you can see that we got out from this shape
layer, this text. And finally we can go and apply an effect called the ramp. And let's set this to
the red kind of color. And here two more darker red
and select this gradient, move these points
closer together. And as you can see, I've
applied this effect to the test and not
to the text box. So I can just select
this gradient ramp and press Control X to cut it out. And select this
text box and press Control V to paste
it on this text box. And now we can just take our colors to get the
lock which you like. Can just go back to
the final composition and drop it in here. Pick whip to the text's main. So it will have the same kind of animation of rotation
here at the beginning. But now here at the end, we want to set it a bit below, like this and press
S on keyboard to make it smaller and
place it wherever you like. To add a bit more
3D kind of look. You can apply an effect
called bevel alpha. Here on this text to. And if you will,
take a closer look, you will see that we've
added a bit of bevel. I'm going to set
this angle to 25, so this light will be
from top from our texts. And finally, we can add
some lights effect. And with this lies
to be perfect, we can angle this leg
sweep as we like, make it with a bit
wider sweep in density. Not that much. Age in
density, a bit lower. And basically you can just animate like it's swipe through. So for example, about here, we can move it to the
left, create a keyframe. And about here, we can just swipe product text
just like this. If you press U on the keyboard, you can see that we've created
keyframes to this center. Here at the start, we've
clicked to create a keyframe. We've changed this
first value of x axis to create this
sweeping motion, which looks already pretty cool. And we can press just at
nine here on keyboard. Now let's cut it here
at the beginning. So it will not waste any power here at the beginning
because we don't see it. And finally, you
can basically copy just this trail effect. Just copy this trail effect, press Control D to duplicate it. Place it here above. And here's another cool trick. Basically you can
select this text, trail 3 and select this text to make sure that these both
compositions are selected. Then leftmost click and hold, hold Alt key on keyboard
and drag on top of this text one trail
and release it. It will replace this text
one with this text to. And we can just press Enter
and rename it text to trail. And then just press P on
keyboard to see our position. And we want to move it lower, so it will sweep
here on our text. You need to select
this position, to select both of
these keyframes and be on top of one
of the keyframes. In this way, you'll
be able to move all of your animation. Now let's make sure that
our scale is the same. So let's lock this
scale and set it to 59. And basically, we want
to make sure that this trail effect will happen
later, just like this. And we can even press a on keyboard to see
our anchor point. It will be much easier
to align this animation. You can also duplicate this as we did with this text trail. But I don't want to waste
any more time of this class. By the way, if you want to
have this paint of more crispier look as we have here. And here is an artist
who is, first of all, we can make this animation a bit slower and maybe press F9
on this last keyframe. And we can apply an
effect called find edges and apply it here before gaussian blur and
click Inverted. And as you can see with
this fine edges effect, we can apply this really
cool lines on our effect, which looks much more crispier. So this is another cool
trick which you can use. And let's press your numpad
to see what we've got. By the way, if you are
