1. Productivity Masterclass Introduction: in his book Before Hour Work Week, Tim Ferriss states that you should focus on being productive instead of being busy. Hi, my name is April, and I am an online SL instructor. I have been honored to teach over 500 lessons on line, and I have learned that having a lesson outline is really important. And it helps with your productivity because it helps with the flow and structure off the lessons. More and outlined is a systematic framework structured for your lesson plans so that they follow a regular format. So this lesson is for you if you are a teacher online or in the classroom. Or maybe if you're considering teaching any subject, even if you don't have to do your own less. Sometimes this will still be useful for you because you're one teaching. So it's good to have your old outlined that you want to follow so that you have in your mind what you will be using. So this lesson will be about how to structure your own lesson out. I will be giving you the key components for how to adapt them to your situation, whatever you mean tainted or whatever years equation, maybe, and even the software that will be very useful for you to use on the teacher. Also, thank you for taking the time to listen to my message. I know that there are many to choose from, so I am actually really grateful that you would choose a time to invest with me. And I know that these steps will be very useful for you. I also encourage you to do the class product that's available. Just follow the ticks, making structure your own lesson. So and the next topic, I will be talking about the reason why lesson outlines are very important and how they can help your productivity.
2. 6 Ways Outlines Improve Productivity: Okay, so I'll be talking about six ways in which a lesson outline helps to improve your productivity. So number one, it saves time. One of the key ways in order to increase productivity is to use your time wisely in a structured way that generates more results. No, with creating a lesson outline, you're able to plug in your information, meeting your sometimes quite easily, because you have this framework that it's same operating taken off. Saved already. The lesson. Outline in action. Reportable. So you can say this in your software or just in general foul, and you can copy and paste that sometimes it is also transferrable toe every student or cuts. So if you should get a new student or even a new class. Or maybe if you have a new topic to teach, you can always go back to this framework and use it for whatever lesson you have. It also has a student engagement. You are able to share your lesson times in a step by step way back. Students get you still overtime because they're getting used with the same structure, and they can therefore understand the pools and follow along with you to achieve the same results. It enables self perfection as a teacher whereby you're able to follow this structure whenever you're evaluating yourself, because you always have the same framework to choose from, and it even allows you to set your goals. If you're always following the same rumor and Karen your purpose, then you know the new goals that you need to actually from your lessons. So now that we've talked about why having a lesson outline is important, let's go into the actual components for the major components off your lesson outline.
3. The Key Components of an Outline: so we will not be going through the key components off a lesson outline now. These may differ for different scenarios, but they usually follow the same format because you're usually going after the same goals. If you're teaching a class, here is an example off a simple line this show up. The key components usually are, and that includes the lesson topic, lesson objectives, activity review and evaluation for the purpose. Off this video, the outline that you saw was really simple and did not have all the elements that you would see even in a simple line, however, added to outlines in the class protect section below where you can have one outline. While the first outline is actually a simple basic outline, that's plan that you can use for your own class project, and the 2nd 1 is an example for what I use for my esa conversational lessons. So the first part is the lesson topic this clearness states want. The lesson will be about, and this usually follows a serious in a court. So it's really great to break up the main subject or topic into sub topics objects. This is very important because these are your goals. It's good to know what you want to achieve before you actually go after doing action so that you're not wasting your time as stated before. You're not seeking to be busy if you're seeking to be productive. So that is actually what we're trying to achieve here. One of the most important objective is very useful so that everyone is on the scene. It's very good for you to state this student at the beginning off the lesson, even in a summarized format so that they know what you want to achieve and it can not be there. They know what they can do to achieve. And at the end of the class, having actually gone through objective, Do you know what you're actually looking for? To know if you achieve the results that you wanted in the first place. So this is where we will move on to the activity. What are you actually gonna be doing in the class to achieve your So see for this house? So you stated objective to the students. Help them to you. Why is that? They're doing articular activities. And also you have a teacher when you're having your lessons and you know the objective. You know the best activities to do in order to achieve so you can can help you will present any new information. If it is a serious U Penn Hall, you will be structuring your lessons over time and the different activities that you will be doing, whether it's practical or even just you telling the students or, well, not really telling, but explaining to the students what they need to know. Many practical activities that you may do or what you need to get in order to present us the information to the students in the best week and activities that they need to do in order to be involved as well. The time this interview with the objective students that know what it is, they're doing certain things and what it is they're going to achieve or, more likely, to be engaged and involved in the class. So we're gonna be moving on to review. Or you can also call this the closure. So a review is very important for memory and a good way to do this so that they can relate . It's a no applied knowledge toe. Their life it's possible in the review your usually going through what you just did, summarizing usually and why this is very important as well. Another key component off any rope line and usually the last is evaluation. This is important for both teachers and students, usually for students. We call itself evaluation a student who itself aware of their own progress, is at an advantage because they know where they have been and whatever efforts they need to make it order to reach a certain the evaluation is very important and goes back to be objective. No, with evaluation, you can access where there are prophecies lead as measured against the objective. No, may not be numbers, but you're just going back to objectives to see whether or not you actually achieve the results you wanted in there. You can find him for under no lesson or even poor tests for evaluations for students themselves, meaning that you know, to test your student or even what they help now. As I mentioned earlier, these listen all night spent differ. In the next lesson, I will be outlining the ways in which you can adapt your lesson outline personally, so see you there
4. Ways to Adapt Your Outline: So we're gonna be talking about ways in which you can adapt your own line personally to fit the means off here class as well as yourself as a teacher. So what do you want to think about is what is your class might? What is the scenario? Are you teaching in the classroom? Are teaching on nine? Is it with one student? Or is it what is the age or the demographics off the class that you're teaching as well? All of this will help you to know how you need to structure your well, I'm gonna be doing know is giving you some tips off. Well, other titles that you can add it to your own line if you see it fit and especially if you need it for you can add at the beginning off your own mind is actually a purpose or a purpose statement. It can actually relate to the objectives. What is a reason for teaching that part of your topic? You can go back to your lesson 10 Important to have a big more clarity as to the importance of the topic. You can also share this with your students. They're more aware off why they need to learn this lesson so you can add a review at the beginning. This is, if you actually want, review the class that four, and it releases a passing heart. So this is especially important if you're teaching a Siri's, and every topic actually helps to build information on top of each other. So the benefits over view is that you can relate it to the previous class, meaning the new topic. And this helps students to remember. Most of all, if you re lace and advance more information on top of each other, it helps to understand. But this is really important if you have the same class for the year or if you're having the same student over and over again. If you're teaching online and you meet beauty to your students, this may not be very beneficial. But if you have them again like recurring students, then this helps a lot. Another thing that you need to consider is if you need to add materials of all kinds. So this is if you have a class where we actually use physical materials. So this reminds you and this helps you and what you need to bring for the crops in order to structuring company and to do the activities that you need using the specific material. So if you have a class that has more off particle setting than this is really important, and you need to add this year no, I stated in the free this court that you should have another title for evaluation. However, you can just year outline to have a self evaluation separately for your students. So this helps them to reflect as to how they learn the lesson if they need more help or if they need to do a review themselves. If you can even let it be a portion where class needs evaluate each other kind. Of course, you have to know your group, but this helps them to relate to each other more. Maybe they can actually build a closer on our relationship. That's also good in the class. A way to get the self evaluation going is acts. The students questions what they sounds about lesson. Maybe you can even add a portion where they can. You know, I'm suggestions, especially if you want feedback from them. Yeah, this is a subjection. So you can think about this. You know I have to add it if you don't want to. But even if it's not for every class, you can have a feedback session as well. From students to you. When it comes to informal tutoring, evaluation session does not have to be really structured. But it is still really important for your own line when I'm given these suggestions made like some of these titles, but maybe not related every specific lesson. So that's a good thing about having a free more because you can always adjust it. It is that you mean a separate time before specific blessing. You can go ahead and do that. You can adjust however you want for whatever is funded to your class. I hope this gives you ideas as the home you can adapt here specific lesson old night. And now we'll be going to the other lesson where I'll be talking about the software that you can use to not only create here less and outlines, but to save them and to actually coffee in peace easily. The different lesson plans that you will have
5. Useful software For Creating Outlines: there are several useful solvers. Teoh Create your specific lesson outline that you will be using repeatedly. And then I'm gonna be giving you some tips for copy and paste in your less intense onto the Oakland and helped to organize your files and how to save them so that you can access them easily on most of the devices that you're using. And if you would like to know how to create lesson plans or to be giving tips to do that, please let me know. And I'll be glad to do a video for that or a lesson for that specific for U. K Really simple and easy. Usually available on most computers is Microsoft office. And when I'm talking about Microsoft office and pocket specifically about Microsoft Word or back himself excel that you can use to create your files with Excel. It's easy because you already have a table structure, but with words can also insert your table easily. And with both of these, you can easily save your framework and copy and peace the information that you want to add , meaning the specific lesson into the framework that have already. But what about Google dots now blew the docks. It's similar to Microsoft. Word, however, is my Google, and you can easily save their structure on line and know much of what advice you're using as long as you have the foot program. I don't know that you can always access your family. So this is really easy, because this is simple because of the ease off access that you have. Another suggestion is everything, and you also well, you have a free option a deal before this. Now what makes ever don't really great that you can see different onto one specific folder and not just plows so big early. You can have holders that you can organize your files into different systems. This is really great, and if you want to try it, it will be really useful. Other options you have for notes are your Microsoft one or even Apple. So when it comes to, saving your crown is great to have a flow with storage because it's easily accessible on different devices and it's safer in terms off into one device gets destroyed or anything happens. Unfortunately, you still have the city online, and this is great because you do not want to lose the files off on the student's progress or any data that you want to that you want to use later on. It's a to cloud storage. Options that are really useful are Dropbox and good. Google drive. Okay, great. Let's now move on to our next lesson.
6. Project Information: for your class project. I have added to files in the project section, and I would encourage you to the boat and also to create your own lesson plan outlined.
