About This Class

Turn flat, boring slides into presentations people actually remember. In this hands-on PowerPoint Animation class, you'll learn how to use built-in animation tools to make your slides move, transition, and grab attention — no design background or extra software required.

You'll learn how to:

  • Animate text so it appears with impact (not just "fade in")
  • Bring icons and graphics to life with timed, layered animations
  • Use Motion Path animations to move objects exactly where you want
  • Apply the Morph transition for smooth, professional-looking slide changes
  • Add clickable Trigger animations for interactive presentations

By the end of this class, you'll be able to build presentations that stand out — whether you're a student, teacher, marketer, or anyone who needs to present ideas clearly and confidently in PowerPoint.

This class is for you if:
You already know the PowerPoint basics (adding text, shapes, slides) and want to learn how to animate them like a pro — for school projects, business presentations, YouTube content, or social media slides.

1. Introduction: Hello. What you're seeing on the screen is not a video playing, but it's called morph transition. Again, what you all are seeing is not a video playing. But actually, all these are different different animations given in pop and presentation, which I'm going to teach you in this small Skillshare class. PowerPoint actually speaks. Excel things but PowerPoint speaks. Poppoint converts chart diagram data into easily understandable and attention grabbing animations. In this class, I have taught text animations, icon animation, more transition, motion path animations, and much more. 2. Text Animations: First of all, we'll see what are text animation. So if you see we have some texts written here, that's parts of speech. And once we play, they are coming one by one, and the color is also changing. So let's do that. First of all, I'll copy this slide and I'll remove all these animations. So this is all the text I have written with the slide, changes in the space lining. And also, I have given the bullet points. Now, what will I do? I'll select all of it? I'll go to animations. I'll select the animations. So for this, I'll select wipe animation. And I'll give the effect option from left to right. And here, I'll select all of it. I'll go to Effect option, and I'll assign a color. Rest all same. And this is on click. So it's happening on click and the color is also changing. So this is how I'm getting the first animation. Let's jump to another animation. Right. Now here, in this case, we have the winner announcements coming, but the last animation is coming first. As you can see, the last animation is appearing the first and the first animation is appearing the last. So how to do that? What we have done is we are given the wipe animation. And it is in reverse order. So we have assigned. We have selected the cells. We have given the pe animation. Then we went this side, and we have selected in reverse order. So by selecting in reverse order, we are getting this kind of animation where the last name is appearing the fourth and the first it is appearing the last, and it is best for winner announcements. We'll look at the last animation in tags that when the first bullet point is shrinking, the second is again shrinking and the third is again doing one by one. But before shrinking, it is actually, you know, zooming. So what I have done, I have given a grow string animation, and I have also given grow string animation once again. So let's do that and how it should be done. We'll copy this first. First of all, we'll select all the cells. We'll give it a grow and shrink animation. Okay. Now, how much to grow is we can actually customize that. So we'll go here and I'll put it 200 and bounce and I can give so it's going to bounce like that. What else I can do? I can go here again, and I can add one more animation. So this is the concept that we can add an animation into an already assigned given added animation. So I'll again add grow and shrink. And this time we have two animation. So for the second one, I'll go here and I'll select 75 and bounce at the end. Okay. And the fourth one I'll delete, I don't need the fourth one. Now, this all three, as we can see on the screen, are actually shrink animation because they are going to contrast to 75 and the first are all grow animation. So for the first time, I want first one to grow. Then what I want the second to grow, but the first two actually shrink. So this all this all three should happen with previous, and this all four should happen on click. So first I want is to grow, second I want to grow. Then when second grows, the first we go here. The second we go here after the third. And let's see, once again, first is growing, right? This is hundred percent. The second is growing along with that with previous. The first is actually contrasting. So this is how we can do that. 3. Icon Animations: Now we'll look for some icon animations. Now, what is a delayed animation? Now here, we have some icons given, and when we want them to play one by one, with a bounce effect and we want them to delay. So what can we do? So here we have delayed animation, and this is one of the concept of PT. Now, we'll copy paste this slide first. I'll select all of it. Now, we have some icons here, and the beauty of the PowerPoint doesn't only work on tags, but it also works on icons. So I'll select all the icons here. What I'll do is I'll go here and I'll add fly in animation. I want it to fly from top Okay. Now, when they are flying, uh, I'll select all of it. Fact options. I want the bounce rate also to happen. And until the end of this slide, so. And what will I do is I'll change the duration to let's say 0.1 second. And here from second one, I'll add a delay of 1 second. The third one will be two second 3 seconds. Four, five, six, seven, and here it is eight. Now we'll see, is that happening? Yes, exactly. So this is all we are getting is getting delayed one by one, they are coming. This is the concept delayed animation that we are getting. This is one of the very interesting concepts where you can delay a particular cell when you want its effect to happen, right? Now, there's one concept called mood transition. So actually, this is actually a transition and not an animation. What it does is, let's copy this first. First of all, we need to copy this more transition. Now what will I do on the copy? I'll change the positions of all the icons and just add the morph. So what morph has done, morph has actually changed the position of all the icons. Let's play that. So what is morph done? Morpheus actually change all the positions and also change the color that we have mentioned. So this is called morph transition. There's one more concept called trigger animation. So what is it? We have this animation. Let's go to animation pin. I'll insert a symbol here. I'll also insert an icon. Let's say there should be the what will I do is I'll go this side. I'll select the particular cell, and I'll add fad in animation. So this is a fade animation, right? And to this fade animation, I'll add a trigger, and trigger is this hour oval one, right? This is the trigger, right? Now, let's say, let me play the transition. Yeah, this is a period. Now, what will I do? I want to add one more animation. And that is fade out animation, right? And what will I do? I'll change its position. Right. Now, let me play it once again. If I click on this trigger, the name is appearing. If I again click on this trigger, the name has gone because I have added one more transition, which is fade out transition. That is one more animation, fade out, and I have also added on this animation panel. So this is how we can do that. Now for your project, I have added the same into your class. 4. Motion Path Animations: Now, we'll see what are motion path animations. I have an icon here that is a star, and I have added spin animation on this. Again, after adding the spin animation, the effect I am giving is full spin. The full spin has been given to this particular. I'll get here and I'll also see that it is repeated until the end of this slide so that it keeps on repeating if I click. Secondly, I have heart here, what will I do? I'll go here I'll go to more motion path, and I've added a heart animation. That's a heart animation. So once I add a heart animation, what it does it, if you select preview, it will show you that what will it happen? Show diamond, it shows like circle, this is square, right? This is octagon, right? So I have added heart to this particular animation, and it will move like a heart, right. For this particular ball, I have gone here and zigzag animation. So it's going zigzag and the effect I can control from here. So again, this all other different animations that you can apply to particular icons given in this. And once you click, that will form, right? That will happen. And it will all will start working. Okay. Now we'll see how this ball is actually, you know, falling from the top and how it can be created. What is this kind of emotion path animation? Now, we'll take a slide That's a new slide. I'll go here and I'll draw this particular angle. What will I do? I'll just copy paste it a few times and we'll select to make it a ladder. This is how you can do that. Extra delete. Then I'll again go here, shapes and I'll select a circle. But how is my circle getting a different color? Because I have added already a color from here. Now, for this side, what I'll do is I'll go to animation pen and I'll add bounce animation. I'll go to extra This is bound we animation. This is all I'm getting. If you look at the animation, it is all going here because it all has its trigger points attached here. What I'll do, I'll just increase the lens of its trigger points. I go to valid points. And go to added points. I can edit all the triggers. I can delete some of the extra points if I do not need. It's making my work much easier. And this one will also delete. And now we'll see how it's happening. Yeah. So the speed is too much. So what will I do? I'll go here and I'll reduce the speed to five, let's say. So now, again, I can see this is reducing. So I hope it is very much clear that how you can create this motion path animation. 5. Project: So for the project of the class, you need to create these motion path animations. And you need a star, then a heart, then a ball is flowing from the top and also this zigzag balloon and the text given of the wave tax animations given. So for the project, you need to create this particular slides, which is happening here and which is moving and need to upload it to the project gallery. Also for the project of the class, you need to provide these trigger animations for United States, Russia, India, and Australia. I won the triggers here on the particular region, geographical region. And if I click on the trigger, the name should appear. So this couple of audio projects of the class, please do that and upload it to the project gallery. Thank you so much.
