Now I've been painting and drawing for most of my life, but I have recently come across these little pots of magic and called brush O on their crystal pigment. Colors made by color craft in the UK have actually been around for about 35 years. What I love about these is the vibrant, bright colors They react the pigments, reactor, water. So you spritz have been water on your paper and Sprinkle the brush over the They explode with beautiful colors. Quite unpredictable. Today we're going to be learning about painting soft florals on painting something like this sort of daisy, some flour type floral o shay which colors to use and have to apply the water and then the brush o on top. But sometimes the other way around. I hope you enjoy the class. There's materials listed in school share, and I'd love to see the paintings you create using his technique. Douche. Painting Loose Florals in Brusho Materials: 5. Paper and Materials: you can see I've stuck my paper down with masking tape onto aboard this paper's 300 year Sam. We needed that heavy, that weight paper because we're going to get the paper quite wet and we need that strength . The pain's we've got. See green, Scarlett, lemon, yellow, oka and orange on the range of brushes that are gonna be using today. We're going to have a fine brush. That's one on. I'm going to use a medium brush as well. Just that's a fall that will work quite well on a a larger brush. And that's an eight, Not that's a 10. Sorry. So that should be sufficient. They're things required are the spritzes and the water pots and a little bit of household bleach. I've watered that down slightly. A pencil plus an eraser. Okay, so I will see you in the next short video on will start to plan out the painting 6. Planning and Drawing: just is in gardening. Gardeners will put plants in 357 combinations were going to plant are soft florals in the same way we're going to do three because one up here, someone roughly here on one, roughly here. And these are the centers of the flowers and this is going to be some flowers. Is, as you know, so likely. Very, very roughly. Drawing position ALS for the petals as well. That one's really pointing outwards to this way. These will overlapping under lap. Unlike wise, this one more point off to the left puts and leaves in a swell. There we go few leaves. This is very rough, just on idea where you're going to be painting. And once you've done that, which is as far as we need, we're going to rob some of it out. That may seem a bit dark, but we really only need a very light drawing. We don't want to see these pencil marks underneath our paint. So we're now just going to roughly a race. The majority of our pencil marks that we've just made this will make sense of in a bit. So there we go. That'll do, and I will see you in the next video 7. Painting Loose Florals in Brusho Using the Pigments: 8. Painting the flowers: I know that we're now going to start painting. Andi can paint with my larger brush. As I said, this is a 10. Anything suitable that you feel happy with. Still got some of my eraser elements. They're just knocking those off. Now. I use the larger one because it will hold quite a lot of water. So I'm loading it up from my water park here on you can just just see those centers. So one there on in that center, I'm going to add my yellow oka. I'm gonna take a pin tuck out. This is one of my favorite colors. Just look at how that just goes. It's brilliant. Love it. It's lots of different color pigments there. This is the 2nd 1 limits. Tap in some color, another 3rd 1 and want tap in some color. I don't need to margined. As you can see, it's coming through this hole at the top. There's no need really to undo these bottles is parts We don't need to get too much out of any one time. So holding the top in this case have done three where we can put the tack to secure the pigment. So If I knock it over by accident, it's not going to spill out. We'll come back and use a little bit more of the yellow Oka later on, so I'm gonna let that dry a little bit. But in the meantime, it's blow some of the pigment away. We're going to use the lemon, and the lemon is going to be for the main petals on. Angered. But Scarlett Jo, get ready now as well. Lemon with Scarlett is going to be some of the shadows, as is the orange on the other end of the petals. So they're my colors I'm going to use now. Let's move them out of the way for the moment. So starting down here, I'm just going to put the lemon in. Here we go. That moment I'm avoiding where avoid put the water in the color. But it really doesn't matter too much if I inadvertently touch it and I'll show you in just a moment, probably on this other one, because that's still quite well. That was a big puddle. Water okay in the water. If I just touch it, you see it floods out. That gives quite a nice effect. It's more that talk a bit more. It's gonna be wet for a little while because really have loaded my brush up with quite a lot of water. Let's put some lemon and needs. Okay. Excellent. Take this one. Done of it. Further, but more in hair. Just drop in some water in. I feel it needs that linking bits up. Okay, so now I'm going to add the other two colors the scarlet and the orange. I could put Scarlett towards the center, so sort of a natural shadow. You could see how it's growing. We're going constantly hearing me tapping in my studio nowadays that I play with these colors and now we're going to use the orange for the tips. It's about giving variation and lightness. Been in these ones. If you feel that you've done too much in one area, like perhaps here and that's not the effect that you want to take your paper towel and you can just dab it off. Remove some of that water and pigment. It was quite on there and that you can actually paint with it, sort of like more no printing, in a sense, just just redistributing it around creating a little bit of a mottled effect a bit as well right now. Very subtle. And now we're going to let that drive through who are and will come back in a moment. 9. Using Bleach: 10. Using the bleach: Hello. I'm welcome back. I'm not going to be using the bleach. This is just household bleach aboard a tiny bit into this little top top and a little bit of water because it's quite a hot day today is already evaporating off. This is an old urged school type paintbrush, really cheap on his ideal for this sort of work. Because you don't really want to use your best brushes to in bleach. It does tend to ruin them. If we put bleach down and we'll dude, let's do a couple of dots, you could see how it instantly works, and it spreads because the paint is still quite wet. It works in the same way as if we were adding a color. So if we just add a little bit on, this is creating highlights. Now we can't go around our painting, adding these highlights where we feel they should be. We'll lift off the or move the pigment around pigments not diluted down properly, quite like the dots. I'm gonna put some up here, might be too much, and someone this flower head as well we'll see what happens there and residue, please, my growth. So that's the bleach added, The next job will be to do the leaves. Now, I'm still working this particular painting quite wet, But I'll see you in a moment I'm going to set myself up on, um, I see you in just a tick. 11. Painting the leaves: I know again. Now for the leaves, we've got C green. This is quite a strong color. We don't need much and it does travel quite well. I'm going to use my medium brush this time. This one is around a four round. And where we thought we were going to put the leaves, it picks up some of the other paint. That's not a problem at all, because we are going for a very informal loose look, I'm just gonna Sprinkle that little thing that might be just out of camera. So let's do one that's further down. So you can really see it. Do one down here, put another 1/2 you see on that and sprinkled up here as well that how managed that can see the green and the blue, the separate pigments coming out. That's quite so. I'm just gonna move the camera little bit so you can see the 1st 1 I did. There we go. Now I'm going to move that around a little bit because wanted to make it look a little bit more like a leaf and using what paint on my brush as well. Very faint. Go and let's put some of the sea green into that, so it's very strong, tiniest amount. Then we go, and I'm gonna move that around as well. Let's move the camera game just a little bit. Sorry, done here so you can say I'm filling in any gaps. I'm moving the color around that will pick up the oranges while and here, too. Now let's take some of this. Color is pigment. It's just pop it in here. It's well, because I think almost like a cluster of flowers, you would see some of the leaf behind. I think it will give a little bit of depth to the painting on here. It's really how you feel. The painting should go. Where is the color? Where Where do you find the color? Where do you feel it should go And just keep working it until you're happy with it. If you've overdone it, like I I'm not so sure about that bit, so I'm goingto top that off with my paper towel. 12. Adding Black Lines: 13. Indian Ink and Dip Pen: Hello again. We're now on the last steps, really, for our Russia painting on its to do with Indian ink on a dip pen. And what we're going to do is sort of just highlight some of the areas that we want to. It's not a precise drawing, but it's fun to do. And it does help pick out those elements that you feel. I need it. You're most proud off, so I tend to start in the center, just squiggly lines. Just create the final touches in our painting. Do this leaf while I'm up there, Just sit on the screen. It just pulls everything together. I think it does anyway. - It's very easy. It's very free. Just do the bits that you want to do that you feel. Add to your overall picture to pretend there's two leaves here over a pink. It's quite chunky. Leave that could be the tip of the one underneath 24 hips. I lost a couple things going to do the same down here. They're my friends. We have it. One brush your picture of some flowers.
