1. Welcome: Hi, my name is George, and in today's course you
will learn how to make this wonderful abstract
painting width, okay, Polypterus,
leaves and branches. In this one you will
learn everything about confidence and courage
when painting, you will also understand
everything you need to know about analogous colors and how to harmonize them
in order to make a beautiful decorative artwork using just a few
simple tools as well as some well-placed
guidance from yours truly, you'll make this
artwork in no time. Don't worry. If you've never
painted with acrylic before, this is the perfect
course for you. This will be a very
fun experience. All along the way, you'll
be encouraged to make beautiful and nice
marks on the canvas. Not only that, but you will
get tips and tricks to guide you through your
next creative adventures. Would all of that being said, Welcome to this
wonderful course.
2. Materials: This course you will need
just a few supplies. Let's go into them right now. You will need a canvas,
a square canvas. This is a 50 by 50 centimeters and a big, beautiful brush. So you can fill in this
big canvas with ease. You will also need around medium brush for
making the leaves. You will also need
a pallet knife for textures and to mix colors very thoroughly and to apply
the color on the canvas. Liner brush if you
have it in order to make lines. Don't worry. If you don't have
the liner brush, you can always use the small flat brush in
order to make the same fine, beautiful lines for the stems. For the paint, you'll need
Amsterdam acrylic paint. This is white, brown. You will also need some blue. This is brilliant blue, as well as some reds. And of course, some
yellow and some gold, as well as some paper
towels in order to clean the brushes. That's all you need
for this course.
3. Background baby blue: For this wonderful step, you will use the
big flat brush in order to cover the whole canvas. You'll understand how important
it is to press hard on the brush to make bold
and courageous marks. For this, you will
use only two colors, as well as around medium brush and a palette knife in
order to mix the colors, the medium flat brush is
very useful for creating beautiful and interesting edges in-between the colors you
will lay down on the canvas. And now let's go into the step. Let's add some beautiful
white on the mixing plates. The starting it here on the
lower part of the plate, as well as some blue at the top. A tiny amount of loop, since this color will
be mainly white. Grabbing the palette knife and starting to mix the
two colors together, just adding a tiny amount
of blue into the white. Mixing it together
thoroughly until you have a homogeneous color. As you can see, it starts to look like a beautiful baby blue. You can also clean the
palette knife onto the canvas just to have
it nicely and clean. Grabbing the big flat brush and starting in the corner
on the left side. As you can see, just going and covering all this
beautiful corner width. The wonderful blue. Now going in the middle of the canvas and dragging
the color down. Leaving the white of the canvas onto the
left part and the top. Grabbing any hairs
if you see them. Then continuing to
brush down from top to bottom on this
beautiful new shape. Let's add some more white
to the mixing plate. Grabbing the palette
knife once again, mixing the colors over. This time, much more
white and light in color. A little bit messy, Don't worry. It's easy to clean. Let's put this big flat brush on the top and mixing
the two colors together until they look
like it's almost white, but it has a tiny amount
of blue in the color. This is a very important
step in order to get rid of the white on the canvas, starting with the palette knife, just cleaning it onto the
lower part of the canvas, onto the right side corner. Now, grabbing the big flat brush and starting in the same right-hand side
corner at the bottom. Moving a little bit higher and going a tiny bit
into the shape in order to not leave any
white of the canvas. Going even higher
with the Scholar, you will cover the
rest of the canvas. So wherever you see
white just going up and then to the left going
into the corner at the top, just brushing the color. It's very important to press
very hard on the brush. To make courageous
and bold marks. The brush will not apply color correctly if you
don't press hard enough, this will come very handy later on when you
make the leaves of the plants going lower onto the left-hand side of
the canvas and just brushing in a little
bit more of this color. You can also vary the
way that you apply the color just going from side-to-side
from top to bottom. And just covering, making
sure all the edges and where the two colors
starch are perfectly colored. Grabbing the round medium brush, mixing in some color into it
and start dragging towards the right from the
blue and making those edges much more
defined and nice. Okay? Going and wherever you
see some undecided, fluffy edges, you can
start to press down onto the brush and take more color. And do this once
again, just pressing, focusing on the edges where the darker blue meets
the lighter blue. Also tried to break down
and make some small shapes. Just Near the edges, just
a little bit more into the Blue going to
the corner on the top. You can also go to make
more shapes into the white. And then you can go and
add some more shapes. At the top. You can dance around
with the brush, just making some straight lines, some points just making horizontal dots and
horizontal lines. Don't go overboard. Just write to focus on where the shapes are not
very decisive. And also keep in mind
to press hard in order to make bold and
courageous marks. Going lower. And continuing with
this beautiful color, just cutting that
wonderful corner. And then in the
middle of the canvas, making some more runaway edges. Perfect. Now grabbing some more blue, mixing in with the white. If you don't have enough white, you can always put more on the plate, mixing it thoroughly. And then right in-between
the edges starting to add this wonderful darker blue. It doesn't have to be this dark. As you can see. We can make it tiny bit more light by mixing
it into the white, right here onto the left. Mix it together and now breaking the edges
towards the white, you first broken the edges
from the white into the blue. Now you're breaking the edges from the blue into the white. So there is a play. And as you can see, if you don't have enough color, the brush will not make
very decisive marks. So make sure you grab enough
color onto the brush. You can also start
blending a little bit of this color into the blue
just to give it more texture. Grabbing some more color and going into the blue as
well as into the white. To break those wonderful edges. Of course, let's do a
tiny bit of a shape just going down from the top
on the right corner. This is a very simple
shape, as you can see, it's a square and
then it has a medium, beautiful square onto
the left-hand side, a beautiful rectangle. Just going and filling
it in width, the color, and then going lower and making a runaway brush mark as well
as going onto the right, Just making the shape a
little bit more complex, even though it's almost
entirely made out of rectangles going towards the
corner and connecting it. It goes outside of the canvas, going even lower and creating another shape
just going down. Let's blend a little bit into
the middle over the blue, just to make those first few
marks a bit more integrated, going higher and
integrating a tiny bit of those edges as well.
Pressing down. And then going lower to make those edges maybe
a tiny bit more fluffy. And grabbing some
more blue to make this shape on the right side just a tiny bit
more interesting. Just a few more touches. There you go with this step. In this step you'll
learn how important it is to press very hard on the brush and have enough color in order
to cover the canvas. One of the most common mistakes that beginner painters make is not having enough color on the palette as well
as in the brush. And another one is to not press
hard enough on the brush. If you follow these
important tips, your paintings will become
much, much more beautiful. Now let's go into the next step.
4. Bold blue textures: And now that the
painting is dry, you can start to play with
some beautiful turquoise. In order to make this
beautiful turquoise, you will need only three colors, blue, yellow, and white. This is a very important
milestone in your painting. You will learn that
confidence and courage when applying colors is a
very mechanical thing. What this means is that
you don't really need all the knowledge in
the world to have confidence to put
color on the painting, you only need to press hard
enough and be decisive. This also applies to life, whatever you do with courage, even though we don't always have all the knowledge
in the world. And now let's go into this step. Make sure that the
painting is dry. Once again. Adding some yellow to
the mixing plates, as well as some blue over the
blue that you already have. Grabbing the left knife and
starting to mix that blue and adding a tiny bit of
yellow into it in order to make a
beautiful turquoise. Mixing it very well together
and adding some more yellow in order to make the turquoise much
more beautiful. As you can start to see, the turquoise is emerging
out of the blue. Just mixing it very well. And then separating two piles, one on the bottom and
one in the middle. Start applying with
the palette knife, pressing it hardly
on the canvas. And making a beautiful square. As you can see, these
are very simple shapes. It's actually a
beautiful square. Once you've done that, you
can grab the big flat brush, take some color and
start mixing in that color just going lower
and lower with the brush. In order to create some variety. Try to rotate the brush 90 degrees in order to
make different marks. And don't forget to press on the brush in order to
make bold, courageous. Marx, going onto the left side, starting to add some more
lines, just going horizontal. And then pressing even harder, grabbing some more color to make this wonderful turquoise
stand out even more. Going a little bit faster onto the right sides of this
shape and then lower. And then going on to the top side corner
onto the right and starting to add the beautiful
color just over there. Grabbing the round brush, taking some color and going on the bottom side of
the shape onto the left, doing the same exact
thing wherever the edges are fluffy
and undecided, you can press harder
with this brush in order to make them
much more visible. Going even lower a tiny
bit outside of the shapes, just as you did in
the previous step, just breaking that edge and
in the middle of the Canvas, some runaway shapes then
moving towards the top corner. In order to add some of this, I'm taking some
more color and then going on the right-hand side, shape at the bottom and making some runaway edges going lower and adding
some more edges, adding some white to
the mixing plates, and then starting to mix it with the palette knife
over the turquoise. This is why the turquoise at the bottom is very important. Now you can mix it
into the white. So you'd now have to
make it once again. It needs to be a bit darker than the blue that
you've applied. In the last step. Look at how beautiful and
interesting this color looks. Adding some more yellow into it. Not a lot, just a tiny
bit to make it nicer, just a little bit
into this corner. Now you have two colors
that you can play with. One is more yellow
and one is more blue. Getting the palette
knife and cleaning it over the shape in the middle, right side, at the top. Grabbing the round brush, filling it up with some
color and making some bold. Marks on the same shape and going towards the middle
of the canvas a little bit. Then going to the right
and lower to create some more of these interesting
shapes and colors, super easy to make. Just go horizontal or vertical
with your brush marks. Grab any hairs if your brush
has left some on the canvas, going into the left side and straight into the
middle of the shape, just applying some
more of this color, going a little bit lighter, then going a little
bit lower as well, just extending this shape, as you can see, it
started to have three layers of depth to width, going higher at the top and
adding some more shapes. Going also in the middle of the shape just
faster and looser, grabbing some more color and moving towards the left side. Then going lower over the white, mixing it in a little
bit, just blending. You can also add some blending to make it a little
bit more interesting. Then over the blending you
can put bold, nice mark, moving higher to the
top right corner, adding some more color. Just on the right
side of this shape. And then going to
the left and lower. Making some beautiful marks. Press it hard and
make it beautiful. Now comes the beautiful
yellowish turquoise. And going on to the lower
part of the canvas, onto the right side and into
the middle of the shape. Now in the middle of the canvas and moving
a little bit lower, just press very hard. And then you can also blend
in a tiny bit just to add some more interesting
shapes in the middle, just calm down the shape. And then continuing with the bold moves,
just going lower. Now a beta bit higher over
the turquoise at the top, making another beautiful
shape onto the right side, just going out of the canvas. A little bit higher above
the right-hand side shape. Grabbing some more color and moving to the left-hand side, looking for another place
to put another shape. And here it is at the bottom of the
canvas a little bit more towards the left. Just making a
beautiful long shape and with a few runaways, just making it beautiful, grabbing some more
blue to mix it into this color just to make that
turquoise much more blue. Then some more yellow
turquoise over it. Just to adds a few
interesting shapes connecting the two shapes together
in the middle of the canvas and making
some more runaway edges. Going higher. And adding another beautiful
shape just over here onto the left-hand side
and connecting it to the middle shape that is lower, adding some more
blue to the color in order to make that turquoise
lot more different. And then some more of this
yellow turquoise over it. Going with this bluish turquoise over the shape onto
the right middle part. And then a bit lower. There you go with this
simple and easy step. In this step you've
played with turquoise, you've made horizontal
and vertical lines as well as played a little bit
with the palette knife. And now you have a deeper
understanding on how to make courageous and bold
marks on the canvas. Remember, you don't need
all the knowledge in the world to make a bold
and courageous move. You only need to press harder on the brush after
the painting is dry, you can go into the next step.
5. Courageous Light turquoise textures: Until now for this painting, you've painted with
blue and turquoise. These are called
analogous colors. You've also played width, a little bit of dark
and light contrast with the white background and the darker colors
on the foreground. If the colors you
are using are on the same slice of
the color wheel, then they are called
analogous colors. For instance, if
you take a blue, you could go and add
a little bit of red into it and make it
a tiny bit purple. Or you can get and
add some green or some yellow into it to make
it a tiny bit more green. And the colors adjacent
to it would be analogous. This is called
analogous contrast. Now you will expand this
analogous contrast by adding a little bit
more yellow into the turquoise and some whites. Now let's go into the step. Now that the painting is dry, you can add some more
white on the mixing plate. Grabbed the LET knife, add some yellow over the turquoise encase the
turquoise is dry as well. You can make it by adding
some more blue into it. Making this beautiful
yellow, turquoise. And cleaning the palette knife once again into the
middle of the canvas just in this beautiful shape as well as onto the right side. Middle. Just dragging it, adding some
more white into the color, mixing it thoroughly
to get her in order to have more veins. Just dabbing that palette knife and then mixing it some more. Looking at the color,
it looks wonderful. Dabbing the palette knife and
mixing it a tiny bit more. Pressing on the
canvas in the middle, on the left-hand side. And making some
beautiful shapes going down and to the right
and then to the left. Just like that, adding some more color onto the
palette knife and going higher in the shape
onto the right side, going lower towards the middle, grabbing some of that color and putting it back over again. You can also scrape with the black knife and
apply the color again. Going higher with this
beautiful palette knife onto the left-hand side corner. And dragging the color up. Making some beautiful shapes. Going lower over
this beautiful shape at the bottom in the
left-hand side corner. Just going and
making some shapes and then moving a
little bit higher, taking some more color. Going on to the top
right-hand side, corner and over the shape, just grabbing and putting some texture with
the palette knife, mixing the colors a little bit thoroughly with a
tiny bit more white. And then going onto
the right side to make some more crispy and
beautiful shapes at the middle of the canvas. Just dancing width, this
beautiful palette knife. And then deciding where to put this wonderful color
right here at the bottom, in closer to the
middle of the canvas. And then let's decide to make a little bit more
onto the left side, in the middle of the canvas. Then going to the right side and moving a little bit
lower from the middle. In-between the shape. Just adding some more of this dabbing motion
over the darker colors. Just creating more texture. Grabbing some more color. Looking for a perfect spot. Let's connect this top left shape with the
edge of the canvas. Grabbing some blue mixing it
over this light turquoise. Just in the middle of the plate, grabbing some yellow and
making some darker turquoise. With this darker turquoise, you can add it over the textures in the right side shape and
in the middle of the canvas, as well as at the bottom. On the lower shape. Rubbing some more
color and adding it into the middle beak shape, as well as at the top
of this big shape. Moving a little bit to the right in the
middle of the canvas. Just hire and
dragging some more of this turquoise
going up. Perfect. Some more paste, some
more interesting shapes. And then moving lower onto the right-hand side
corner and adding some more based and textures. Now in the middle of the canvas, just a tiny bit of color over the light yellowish, turquoise. And some more textures
onto the left-hand side, just to break down
that darker blue. And on the right, tiny bit more textures. Grabbing the round brush and mixing it in
with this color, going and adding some
more relaxed shapes so they don't have so
much texture going. And also adding some more edges, some more clearly defined edges, press down and then
would a few touches. You can make those shapes
and textures more calm. It needs to be a
tiny bit more calm. That's the beautiful step. As you can see, you've expanded the analogous contrast by adding some beautiful lighter tones. Not only dad, but
you've played with the rough textures created
by the palette knife, and then you calm them down. Width, the round medium brush, this way alternating
between calm, peaceful areas and more texture. Once, Let's let the painting dry and go into the next step.
6. Dark turquoise eucalyptus: This is one of the most
exciting parts of the course. You'll be playing with some botanical elements,
namely some alcoholic. For this, you'll need
only three colors, blue, yellow, and brown, and some brushes, the
same medium round brush, another liner brush and
a small flat brush. You can either use
the liner brush or the small flat brush in
order to make the stems. Both of them work gorgeously. Now let's go into the step with some fresh
and clean brushes, as well as the plate, you can add some blue onto it. Just at the top. Squish a little bit of blue, adding some brown onto
the right of the plate. And now grabbing some
of this blue with the mixing palette knife and mixing it well together
with a tiny bit of brown. Just mix it together. You can hold the plate so you can press a
little bit harder. Look at this beautiful
turquoise. Who knew? You can make a beautiful
dark turquoise with brown. Brown is basically
an orange color. Now, adding some yellow
to the top of the plate, just to make this
even more turquoise. Going towards a little
bit of a green, a very blue greenish color, mixing it thoroughly in
the middle of the plate. Then, once you've mixed
the colors together, squeeze that color off of the palette knife and
grab the liner brush. This is a liner brush,
as you can see, it has very long fibers and
going from the opposite way, just holding the brush up and going with
a beautiful line, just grabbing some more color. And going towards the right over the shape onto the right side. And making it longer
and longer as you go. Try to continue with, once you come back
to the Canvas, tried to continue it from a little bit
lower than the end's. Going the opposite way. Just touch up that
beautiful line. Now going from the
bottom when another one crossing over the first one
and going towards the left, as you can see, it has
another beautiful angle. And then going
over the textures, of course, over the textures, you might need to press
a bit harder onto the brush to make it visible. Going higher on the first line into the white and going
towards the corner. As you can see, you can also use this wonderful small flat brush. And going from the
left-hand side corner a little bit higher. And going with the flat
brush, as you can see, it can make very
thin lines as well. Extending the second line. Now going and
making another line just coming out of the
first line you've drawn. And continuing going
on the left side and making that beautiful
line extend even more. Then going and
adding another line, this time going down towards the bottom on the left corner. Don't worry if it's two
a thick going and adding some more color and
extending the line towards the left this time
with another runaway. For another interesting one, Let's go and add another line at the
top, just coming down. Not very long, and
then extend it to the bottom just a tiny
bit, little runaway. Grabbing the big round brush, the medium round brush, and adding just a beautiful leaf in the middle of the canvas. This is a very simple shape. You go to the left
and to the right. You can also add another one, smaller at the top. It doesn't matter if
the line that you've drawn doesn't connect
them together, you will connect them later. Then you can also make a beautiful leaf just going
horizontal, just to cut. A very organic one. For the next one you can
make it rounder and bigger. Now going and alternating towards the left bar
to making another one. This time a little bit
more round and big. Going higher onto
the second branch and making another
beautiful leaf, just pressing hard
on the brush and making it rounds and then adding some more color to
fill in that shape. As you can see, those shapes are each different
from the last one. The differ quite a bit. They don't seem like they
are copy paste shapes. Try to think of how you
can vary the lines. You can either make
it more horizontal, more big, or small. Let's make another
small one at the top. And on the second
one on the right, just make one at the end
and the small little one, I'm going to the left and
one cutting the stem. And in just to the right, a bigger one, just
pressing harder. This is where those bold
marks will come very handy. And going and cutting
the stem at the bottom, as well as going with some
leaves outside of the canvas, can also edit those
shapes a little bit more so they seem more flat. And going onto the right side and making another round one. And grabbing some more color. As you can see, every time
you paint another big leaf, you need to grab
some more color. And going into the middle
of the canvas with a few small little leaves going lower and then cutting the
stem with one single stroke. Then another one just lower
onto the right, this time, a tiny bit more round
and one at the top, just cutting the two stems. And it's a tiny bit
bigger as well. Now let's make this one
a bit more different. Going towards the top, changing that one because
it's way too small. Just a few touches. So they seem more leafy. Going into the middle of the intersection of
the three and adding another leaf and
lowering to finish this beautiful branch
and another rounder one. And going a little
bit lower and making beautiful round leaf as
well as onto the right. It doesn't matter that
they don't have any stems. If it fits. You can draw the stem later. Let's change it up a little
bit and go to the top. Make some beautiful
shapes just over here. Don't worry, the color
has not changed. It's just a little bit lighter because of the studio lights. And going a bit to the top of the stem and adding some more
smaller leaves at the top. You can also add another one just coming out of the
edge of the canvas. Going towards the
left side this time, and adding another one continuing
up on the middle stem. Higher can start to
see how if you press, you can also control those
brush marks beautifully and then just touch and make a smaller one and a medium one. Very important thing as well. Creating smaller, bigger
and medium leaves and shapes going in between those two beautiful branches
as well as lower it. It fits quite nicely. A leaf over here. Taking that small,
beautiful flat brush and making
some more stems, just going towards the leaves. Now it's time to connect those beautiful
leaves as well as make some new ones where you can fit another
beautiful stem just coming out of the first
ones or independence. Let's make another
one just over here, going towards those two
runaway leaves and make some new ones just coming
out of this beautiful stem. And a smaller one at top. And continuing the stem. Perfect. Let's run them out a little
bit and make it even smaller. One at the end. Connecting on the right side, connecting those
beautiful stems. Just a tiny bit with the leaves. Let's find some more connections right over here in the middle. And making this beautiful line connecting those two leaves. And adding another
smaller leaf at the top. And connecting it. Look at how beautiful it is. And an even smaller
one just over here, are a little bit bigger. Doesn't really matter. Going lower and adding another beautiful leaf and
another stem just going down. There you go with
this wonderful step. In this step you've played with some bold shapes for the leaves, but you've also tried
to make them much more tame in order to
have a leaf shape. You've come closer
and closer towards understanding and controlling
every mark you make, but also making it
with confidence. You've also played
around with some lines, learning how to use the liner
brush and that you can use a small flat brush
in order to make those beautiful thin lines. And now let's go
into the next step.
7. Light turquoise eucalyptus: In this step, just to make the
painting more interesting, you'll add some more
branches of locally. But this time making the color
lighter and more vibrant. You'll be guided to
understand how to make more courageous marks
and brush handling. And of course,
expanding some more on the analogous color
contrast and slowly building your beautiful
abstract toolkit to make many more paintings. Let's go into the step with some white on the mixing plate, some blue and some
yellow mixing. A lighter version of this
wonderful turquoise green. Don't make it to green, just add enough blue to
make it nice and beautiful. Just mixing in some
more white width, the big round brush. No stems, you will be creating
the stems at the end. It's easier this way. And you'll learn
how to think and position those beautiful leaves. Small tip is to put light
colors over dark ones. Let's also, let's position
this brush handle in order to find the right way
where the stem is. So right over here
in-between the middle ones. Let's start with a round
beautiful leaf at the bottom. And then going to the
left and then varying to the right over the
intersection of the stems. And even hire a smaller one. On the right side of the stem. You can imagine the stem just
winding to the right and to the left and making a bigger one over this beautiful leaf, covering it and making
it more contrast. Now going towards the middle
with another beautiful stem. Just imagining it. And let's cut a little bit of this leaf that
doesn't look proper. And then lower, just making
another round beautiful leaf. Then going higher and
adding another one. Trying to imagine the
stem just going higher on top of it and seeing where
the next leaf would be. Then not a one, just a smaller one at the top and knee even
smaller one at the end. Going onto the right
side, at the bottom. Trying to find where the
stem is, just imagining it, drawing it in your mind with
the brush and then going in on the right side of this beautiful stem and
a little bit lower, just trying to see
where this stem fits and a little
bit lower making another one just coming out from the bottom
edge of the canvas. Now going higher over the first stem and onto the left side with
another smaller one. Towards the middle. It seems like this stem
will be in the middle. And a smaller leaf and
an even smaller one. Look at how beautiful
the contrast is. Width this new found color. Going onto the left side of
these two beautiful stems and making two smaller
leaves this time and making a small gesture going towards the left and
making a cutaway leaf, the one-step cut the
stem and a smaller one, as you can see, it
curves towards the left. Okay, there you go with the
beautiful leaves sound. Let's go and get the
small flat brush. Take some color onto it. Going onto the left
side and adding the beautiful stem and
connecting it towards the top. Then taking some more
color and adding it over the leaves to make
them whole again. Wonderful. You can also add some more leaves if you feel
like they need a few more. Going from the bottom, put a curve trying to find that stem where it
fits perfectly. It's a windy,
beautiful stem going towards the middle
of the canvas. Let's accentuate it
the other way around. And then connect a little bit of the leaves with the stem with some beautiful small
lines going over the leaves that you've
passed with the brush over and making
them nice and flat. Once again, adding some
more color if it needs. Okay, going over to the right, making this beautiful
stem in the middle, and then going towards
the left a little bit, going over the leaves and
making another one just on the left side because it
had a small empty spots. Making the leaves
at tiny bit more interesting by
adding more color. And then going forward
the last beautiful stem, right in-between the
first one's going down, grabbing some more color just
to make it more visible. Okay? Now going and making
a small leaf at the top and accentuating
the ones lower. Connecting them together. In case they are on
the right or the left of the beautiful stem, grabbing some more
of that color and making another beautiful leaf with the big brush because we've picked up
a tiny bit of white. Nice. You can also edit a
little bit of the leaves, maybe add another one a little
bit higher up the stem. And there you go with
this beautiful step. In this one, you've
learned how to handle the brush even better because now you know how to make those leaves and those stands. And you've also learned how to position to make the
composition even better by imagining the shapes first and then painting them. You've also extended the
analogous contrast by making those leaves
little bit more yellow. And you've touched a little
bit on the light and dark contrast because those stems
and leaves are lighter. And let's go into the next step.
8. Gold eucalyptus. Thank you :): And of course, every
painting needs something special for this one
is gold acrylic paint. You will use the small
flat brush as well as the medium round
brush in order to make some more
leaves and branches, this will make the painting
look absolutely amazing. Let's go into the course. Okay, let's put some
Amsterdam acrylic gold onto the mixing plate. Just a little bit as fine. Right over here in the
left side of the plate, grabbing the medium flat brush, starting to find where
this branch will fit. Right over here. As you can see, the gold is
a little bit transparent, so put a tiny bit more
than usual on the canvas. Let's try to find where
this branch would go. It seems like right over here in-between the dark
and the light one. Just another beautiful leaf. Let's see. Let's go with another one just
coming out of the edge of the canvas and moving higher with a smaller leaf
and uneven smaller, one higher, start to see. It moved quite nicely
to the right with a curve and another smaller
one just at the top. Going and finding another
place for a branch. And deciding to go over it. Onto the very dark
green one with another leaf and a
smaller one below. Let's round it up. Let's go higher for
another smaller, beautiful leaf and another
even smaller, one higher. Grabbing some more paint just to add those leaves at the bottom. Now, moving to the left
side and trying to find a rhythm to the
beautiful branches. And let's go from the side. Just to break those
branches a bit more. Over here, let's find where
it would go just like this. Going over the dark green one once again and then
another one just a bit higher. Another smaller one. Continuing. This time, a little
bit more straight. Then lower. Another one right
by d edge of the canvas. Forward into the
middle of the canvas. As you can see, they start to
become smaller and smaller. And let's put more paint on them just so data are
not transparent. And make the first
one is a bit bigger. Let's dance a little. Maybe we find another
beautiful space. Maybe just going up from the
first branch on the left, right over here, over the
dark leaf and the dark stem. And even higher, again
still over the dark leaf, because it contrasts way
more with the darker color. And going a bit in-between
just to put another leaf. This one on the right needs
a little bit more color. And then going higher and trying to find
where it continues. Just to put two more leaves and maybe make this
one a bit bigger. Let's grab the small flat
brush, getting some color. Make of course, the
stems starting from the right-hand side
connecting them. And also not forgetting to go slowly in order to
make the stem very beautiful and put
more color on top of the leaves just to fill them up. Once again, if you
cross them over. Perfect. Going forward the
second one on the left, and continuing slowly loading up the brush every time you
need some more paint. And then continuing
lower and lower. Let's make another leaf
over here on the left, going lower until it reaches that downside
of the beautiful edge. Going on the left side, trying to see if
another branch fits. And then going and
making the stem going to the right towards the
middle of the canvas. Going a bit faster
with this one. Since it is much more easy to draw a line going
away from the body. And of course, let's
go with the branch. It's connected to the first
one onto the top side just going and making
this beautiful curve and adding some more
paint to the leaves. Maybe another leaf on
the left of this branch. Going a bit higher and
filling in this leaf. Just a few more touches to add some more color onto the leaves wherever they seem
more transparent. On the left and in the middle. Just adding with the
small fat brush. Taking Golf, any hairs
that you see and putting in some more
color. Perfect. Look at how beautiful
this gold looks. Just a few more touches and you will be done
with this painting. Let's find another spot for a beautiful leaf just
over here on the left. There you go with
this wonderful step. What a wonderful
and simple course. This was such an easy and
free-flowing experience. You've learned so much about
analogous colors as well as how to paint with confidence
and with courage. Thank you so much
for being part of this community and see
you in the next course. Bite away in the
next course will be connected and intertwined
with this one, things that you learned
here can be applied in the next one about
abstract painting.
