1. Course Intro: Hello, friends. Welcome to my course. In my previous course, we made an animation for the Skillshare logo. In this course, we will create a simple logo, and then we will make a minimal logo animation. Also, as you can see, I will show you how to make both color and black and white versions. I want you to choose the black and white version or the color version, and upload it as a course project. You can download the course materials from the download Resources tab. I would also like to mention that I will upload my courses on both logo animations and different topics with after effects, so I recommend you to stay tuned. Thank you for watching. 2. Introduction: Hi, friends. In this course, I will touch on a few topics related to general motion graphics. Let me point out that this course is not a very comprehensive and detailed motion graphics course. It is a course where I only touch on a few important topics related to motion graphics. At the end of the course, you will have learned how to make the intro you see in the introduction. My next course will be a very detailed and comprehensive course. So if you follow me, you will not miss that course. First of all, I created a new 60 FPS composition because it is important for me to get a more fluid image. I create a circle with the help of the panel above. I will make a simple position animation with this circle. By the way, I should mention that proportion is very important in composition. That's why the shapes you need to know that they are in the right positions. How can we know this? By pressing the title action safe button, this way, the exact center point and the sides of the composition will become clear. Now let's create a simple position animation. As you can see, when we adjust only the first and last position, we get a constant fast movement. When we select the keyframes and right click and click EasEs. Now we can edit the graph of this animation however we want. This animation looks much better than the first one. I will add echo and ramp effect. Echo is kind of like a more pronounced version of the motion blur effect. The ramp effect is an effect we use in color transitions. We choose the colors and their positions. The program creates the color transition for us. That's all there is to it. When the shape comes to the right, it looks blue. When it comes to the left, it looks green. Finally, I will talk about toggle hold keyframe in our introductory lesson. There is also a keyframe. What are the types of keyframes? The first one is a fixed key frame. The second one is an accelerated keyframe that we can edit, and the third one is a keyframe where the animation in between is not created. We call this last keyframe a toggle hold keyframe. If in the first second, our shape is on the left, and in the second second, our shape is on the right. In the last keyframe, the shape moves to the right. There is no transition in between. Yes, friends, that's all. After this lesson, we will enter the course project. Thank you for watching. 3. Course Project - Logo Design: Hello, friends. In this lesson, we are going to create a minimal logo. First, I will create a composition in after effects. Composition name, logo animation. Full HD 60 FPS, background color white. Now I open Illustrator to create the logo. First, I create a rectangle and set the color to blue. Then I copy the rectangle with the C key and press the F key. In this way, I the copy on the shape I have copied. I rotate the shape by pressing R. Let's make a 270 degree rotation. I drag the shape to the corner of the first shape to make an L shape. Now I'm going to create a square shape by starting at the right corner and pressing shift. I'm going to soften the shape a bit by pulling on the corners. I think that's pretty good. Send this shape directly to after effects. I use the overload plug in to push the selection to AE. If you are not using overload, you can save it as an illustrator file and drag it into after effects, or you can save the logo as transparent and import it into after effects. I'm going to take the L shaped rectangles and put them into a different composition, first, second part. Now, I create a square that covers this shape. This is easy to do in after effects. Move the selection to A E. I put the first shape back into a composition so that the two shapes do not mix. I resize both shapes to 60%. See you in the next lesson. 4. Echo and Position Animation: I. Hello, friends. In this lesson, we will create motion rotation and bounce animations in order. First of all, I want a square shape to grow to the center of the screen. Then I will create another shape and the shape will hit the square shape in the center of the screen. The square shape will then turn into our logo, and realistically, our logo will appear, which will rotate and fall. The same square we created in the illustrator and we're creating it. The color should be the same. Now it's time for a size animation. We bring the size 0-100 and we smooth the movement with the help of a graphic editor. Now create the same square with after effects. Instead of the shape coming in a straight line, we follow the spiral path to the position. It'll be a more pleasing sight to see it. It could follow a different path. But the end of the road is right in the square should end on it. The movement needs to be smooth, so I click in the center of the graph and check the box. This will prevent the movement from being choppy. I'll do the same with the second part. The curves so be exactly like this. Yes. The animation is ready. Now, I'm going to add an echo effect. I talked about it in the introductory tutorials. This effect gives a more dynamic to achieve the animation. You can try different effects if you want. It's all about your creativity. When this shape hits, the logo will rise and then fall. Animation is all about adding a little fun to the laws of physics, isn't it? Movements that look beautiful to our eyes are actually beautiful to the extent that they can confuse our brains. Anyway, let's get back to the topic. We will create position and rotation movements. So why is the position graph like this? Because it's fast at first. I want it to move at a speed very close to zero at the peak and then accelerate again as it falls. So that's it for this lesson. We'll be using the F nine key and the graphics editor a lot. If you're new to animation, you'll need to get a good grasp of these. Very important. Thank you for watching. Stay safe. 5. Bounce Animation: Hello, friends. In the previous lesson, the square shape hit our logo, and then our logo rose and then fell to the ground. I wanted the movement to happen a little faster, so I had them keyframe each other. I brought it closer. It's fine, but as you can see, the logo is not in the center of the composition. I want to move the logo. I'm dragging it downward. I'll create a bounce animation after it falls. The logo is only in the position where it falls. If it stays and the logo doesn't stretch, the animation doesn't look good enough. There are different ways to create this, but I think the easiest is create an empty object, add the animation to this empty object, and then connect the logo to the empty object. You can use this technique in complex position animations. We also use it for animations. I created a null object. The center point of the null object should be right in the middle of the bottom edge. As soon as the logo completes the position movement, we will create a scale with the null object. We will create the animation. 100%, 100%. 120%, 90%. 90%, 120%. 100%, 100%. I select the keyframes and press F nine. I'm moving the keyframes a little bit to the left to make it happen a little bit earlier. That's all. See you in the next lesson. 6. Logo Transition: Hi, friends. In this lesson, we are going to turn the square in the middle of the composition into a logo. First, we will change the color to the same color as our logo. Let's take a look at the animation. Yes, exactly. When the collision happens, it has to turn into a logo. Otherwise, as you know, these animations are meaningless. Collision, and at that moment, I press control shift and D to split the logo into two parts. And the logo should appear exactly from this frame. I also split the logo layer into two parts. This time, I'm deleting the first part of the logo. Yeah, I think that's good. See you in the next lesson. 7. Ramp: Hello, friends. In this lesson, we will add the ramp effect. The ramp effect was mentioned in the first lessons. We use the ramp effect when we want two different colors and want a smooth transition. In this effect, we need to select two colors and the starting coordinates of these colors. I want the small square to be the same color as the big square when it reaches the last frame. On the right, it will be a shade closer to red. On the left, it will be blue. And that's it. Thank you for watching. 8. Text animation : Hello, friends. Welcome. I'm making some minor changes to the first animation. It's worked out pretty well. In this tutorial, we will create a text animation. We will use one code to create this animation. You can download this code from the download resources section. I would also like to point out that many different text animations can be made here. We don't actually need these codes, but the codes allow us to create text animations in a more practical way. I want the top text to come out from the bottom of the composition. I also want the bottom text to come down from the top of the composition. To do this, set the position value in the first frame two, we pull it up and down. I. It's fine, but the texts appear in the composition before the logo. I want this not to happen. So I shift the layer of these two texts to the right, and that's it. Thank you for watching. 9. Black and white: Hi, friends. In this tutorial, I will explain how to make a black and white version of the color logo animation we created. First of all, I select all the layers and click precompose. That is, I create another composition within the composition. It is easier to add them all to a composition and color the composition rather than selecting and coloring them individually. I add the fill effect to the layer and then I choose the color black. I want the logo to be black at the beginning, white on impact, and then black at the end. I can do them individually with the fill effect. But since black and white are contrasting colors, it will be much easier to apply the invert effect. I add an adjustment layer to the composition. I add the invert effect to the adjustment layer. So I create this animation by changing the values here. Thanks for watching. 10. Line Animation: Hi, friends. In this lesson, we will add a line animation to the animation. To do this, copy the small square and resize the square. When it's small enough, it looks just like a dot, and thanks to the echo effect we applied before, it looks like a line. Yes, we have completed our animation project, and you can upload it in black and white or color. As I mentioned, you can use different shapes you want with your own imagination. Thank you for watching. See you in my next course.
