Key Lessons for Riding on Inspirational Book In this lesson, we were explore the right and the wrong reasons to write your book. There are many good reasons to write a book inspired by your own personal experiences, but they're also wrong reasons to become a writer. Writing a memoir can be about capturing unforgettable memories, sharing a life changing experience, revealing a secret, well, rediscovering oneself. By having your experiences on paper, your book might have a positive impact to someone else. Life, too. With this course, you will also developed a new craft or improve your writing skills. So let's get started here. Some of the right reasons to write memoir South Discovery What would you like to learn about yourself that you feel is a mystery? What core believes in life? Do you feel need validation? What patterns in re occurring events would you like to understand? For example, there may have been times in your life for when you became a vegetarian and then reverted to eating meat. Writing can help you explore the topic. The cause for this and decision and how we managed to stick with one particular diet, and that can become the message of your book to reveal a side of you know, Owen knows if you are an introvert and inquisitive or reflective person, you may keep to yourself because you believe no one will listen to you. Or perhaps you have tried to talk, but your words fell on bath years. You probably have a lot to say. There is not fame a positive with a writing about something you feel strongly about, especially when you feel that you have not been heard. Your deepest thoughts and feelings about certain subjects can transform into meaningful conversation with yourself that later on, others can enjoy. Perhaps they can even apply your words that their own life as a learning experience to examine questionable past choices and their connection to your life. Today, Figuring out which bed decisions have led to your current life situation is priceless. When you understand that your choices have led to straw bowls and pain, chances are you will not make the same mistakes again. Writing a book about how your life changed based on choices bad or good can be an interesting topic. Others can benefit from to remember the best shared moments. You want to feel grateful for the gift that live has presented to you. Writing a book about these moments can turn into another meaningful gift to yourself, your family and friends to share a life changing experience. This could be one of the most powerful themes for a memoir. How, certainly bends were people have healed. Transformed to your life is a subject off tremendous value in any inspirational book to reveal your emotional truth. More often than not, family members and people close to you will remember shared events very differently. However, it's your emotional truth that really matters. Writing about your feelings, the word particular moments in your life and how these feelings shaped the person that you are. Besides being inspiring and meaningful, it's a courageous and honorable act. Teoh Hell from your childhood traumas releasing old pain from the past. Writing can be a self healing experience. It wants from me, so healing. My even happened within the first few pages of writing her book to see your own words on paper describing an experience came somehow make us feel like we've been heard and even understood in the process of completing the book, The pay My melt into forgiveness and compassion in these virtues acquired through writing can become the message over your book to show appreciation to someone in your life. You can write about someone you dearly loved, admired and respected someone who changed your life and turned to you into the person that you are today. For your book, focus on the events and stories about him, her that directly related, shaping your personality, character and values to teach what you have learned. Your memoir could be about any particulate knowledge, skill value or a spiritual understanding that you have mastered through your own personal experiences. You want to your book to be both inspirational on illustrative when you can teach someone by showing them instead of telling them your book gains much more credibility on authenticity. To share your perspective about life, you can ride about the way it feels to be in your own skin. What is like to grow up in a particle town around certain people. Your feelings and perceptions are unique, and you can frame them into short and interesting stories. Of course. Don't forget your core message what those feelings and perceptions have taught you and how they have shaped your own life riding for your family and future generations, you can write about your family history selecting the moments most significant to you as stories. These particular moments will become a creative legacy that you can pass on to future generations. You feel you have an important message to deliver, whether something a new the shouts out for expression, the best thing you can do for yourself is to give a voice to wait. If you feel that your heart is so a craving to tell a story that carries a meaningful message, do yourself a big favour. Write a book or start blogging about the particular subject. It is important to understand that beyond the feeling of liberation that writing can provide for doing the right thing is your desire to help others to connect with people who share the same life, experiences or perspective, sharing your experiences and ideas with others. My have a similar mindset is another good reason to write a book about yourself and your life. This can result in creating great new friendships and meaningful relationships to feel good writing is a fantastic method for practicing concentration and self healing. Writing positively effects your well being on a cognitive, physical, emotional and spiritual level. In addition, riding as if there is no tomorrow is a great way to induce peace of mind and clarity of thought two qualities required for well, lift and meaningful existence. Remember, you simply want to feel good about yourself. Here are some of the wrong reasons to write a memoir. Revenge Although strong negative emotions my feel, your writing at the start, these feelings can change throughout the writing process. I wouldn't recommend publishing a book. If your main message is a negative one, your stories might be paying for sad and mired in injustice and betrayal. But if you challenge yourself to go beyond blame accusations, hatred and victimizing to reveal the strong, forgiving and compassionate person that you are, your stories can turn into a wonderful book that others can appreciate and can learn from Wish for fame. Write in a book with hopes that Oprah will interview you isn't a good idea. Having high spect ations is the first big mistake when writing a memoir. This is a book that should mean more to you than worldwide recognition and acknowledgment. The South discovery joy meant self fulfillment that comes from the writing process is what makes the whole experience worth it west. For fortune, money is not a good reason to write about your personal experiences. Writing your memoir is an act of so searching discovery, emotional truth, inspiration, self discovery and sharing heartfelt stories. These elements alone fulfilled the heart of a writer. Heavy money is the primary reason to write a book, can hand capped your creative power in your enjoyment off the process and will most likely lead you down a path of disappointment and frustration writing for others. Let's say there is someone in your family who wishes for you to become a writer and in order to please them, you choose to do so. This is another negative reason to write a book, especially a memoir. Or maybe you choose the right because there was a large market for a certain type of book. You can definitely do that, however, you will be missing out on what matters to you the most, and you will lose the natural writing flow that comes when you have an authentic inner motive in a message to share with others to show that you are smart and worth it. It takes a lot more than smart to write an inspirational book. What makes people interest in an inspiring is their ability to accept themselves, to be authentic, to show over in their ability to truly love, to be generous, among other admire herbal qualities. Of course, there are plenty of smart writers out there who no one cares about, simply because they have set up themselves to show that they are better than others. My rule off thumb is first you right for you. Then, if you decide to publish your work, tailor your message to the public. There are professionals who can help you at that stage. So here's the practice for this last figure out the most heartfelt and significant reasons to write stories about you and your life. You might have different reasons from the list in this lesson, and that's okay, but wants to have discovered which reasons resonate with you the most. My advise that you take some time to think and reflect on them. The stronger the reason you choose to begin to write your book, the more you will feel motivated to finish it. So now that we have reached the end of why write a memoir lesson, don't forget to include the practice in this last In this part of your to do list. The next lesson will discuss the importance of understanding what is covered in the memoir . I'll talk to yourself bye for now. 3. LessonTwo: Hello and welcome to this less. Here we will investigate the differences between writing a memoir and autobiography. Way will also discuss how much easier it is to write a memoir wants. You understand his differences? What does your memoir cover? Writing about what is relevant to your story. What ISS. An autobiography or biography? This type of book presents a revealing account of a person's entire life, their personal history, their birth, youth and adulthood, ending with old age, their secrets, education, conflicts and achievements, their personal history recounted in chronological order. Also, a biography or autobiography is usually written at the end of someone's life. A biography can also be written about someone else, such as a celebrity, important historical figure, famous athlete, politician or spiritual leader, among others. What is a memoir, any significant event or serious of moments? In one's life? A memoir is a piece or time frame off one's life, though it can be about anything. A memoir usually features an event or serious of events turned into stories that reveal a message. For example, it can be about the death of someone you loved habits off your older brother. A trip to era spiritually site becoming a writer Finding true love or life on the beach. A memoir focuses on particular events that relate to each other in order to reveal a life lesson. Remember, a memoir should be interested in itself and should be about your intimate personal experiences. Uninspiring memoir is written like a novel and should include these important elements. Characters, location, conflict structure, point of view, conclusion and message characters. There is a main character and supporting characters. For example, you are the protagonist and the supporting characters of those who in some way influenced you. Location. It's simply when and where the story took place. For example, it's 1998. You're young and living with your parents, who are poor and uneducated in a small town in India. I'm sorry. Fewer man taken discourse, this example The woman, some using you, but it's a woman. Max is conflict conflicts to show what kind of external and internal problems are involved in this situation, And the problem would be that you have a strong desire to leave the town to move to the big city and to study medicine. So now we're gonna move on to instructor and structures are the stories that demonstrate how the conflict developed, trials encountered and the attempts to address that conflict and also successes and failures. For example, continue with that story here. Your parents have other plans. Arranged marriage. So now you're marrying a man ho you don't love, but you don't see any other choice. How can you leave the town to pursue your dreams? Your parents will never support you, and you have no friends in the big city. No money. But on the day before your wedding, everything changed. You ask your parents for money to go to the big city, to buy a special gift for your soon to be husband, and then you never returned. Point of view. Your memoir can be presented in the first person I and me or in the third person she and her or he or him First person example. I left the front door at 4 a.m. Walking into the dark toward the train station. My emotions walked all over May, Then translating this into the third person example would be she left the front door at 4 a.m. Walking into the dark. The word the train station her emotions walked all over her. This is a very good way of writing a memoir. If you are recounting painful events in your life, that's what I did. It's easier to write in the third person, then in the first person. So as a tip conclusion, your memoir should include the resolution that explain how the problem will conflict is solved. For example, if you are that woman who wanted to leave the town and then the parents had the arranged marriage. But she managed to leave the town anyway, so the conclusion would be years later. You are working in one off the main hospitals in the country, and now you're married to someone you love, and you have to healthy, beautiful Children. So this would be the conclusion. The message. The message is the main point of your story, which is to reveal the statement you want your readers to understand and acknowledge. For example, in our story here, this would be the statements. One courage Is the mother off everything worth pursuing in life to follow your dreams in your all heart, regardless off disapproval of others. Three. You are the designer off your own destiny floor take responsibility for your own happiness and success in life, so this would be the message. As you can see, a memoir is not just the recording off your past, the effects. It is about the ener and or external personal conflicts, you encountering life and the realization that there is a deeper meaning behind everything . That's key. Another key point to remember when writing your memoirs that you're focused on parts of your life rather than on everything within it. When writing a memoir, it would be a big mistake to mention areas of your life that don't relate to the main message. So always remember the reason you're writing your story on stay true to that. The greatest thing about writing memoirs is that you can write a number of them throughout your life as long as they are about different events that make you a person that you are today. Now that you know the difference between an autobiography and memoir, you know that you can write many books about events in moments of your life. Let's investigate how to identify a powerful message for your book. I'll see yourself 4. LessonThree: Hello and welcome to this lesson. I'm not going to help you to find the main message for your book. You need to remember that the message is not about you. It is about your book. It is the resolution off all of your stories. Your message is what will make your book inspirational. What is your message? Find in the most compelling statements for your book. What is your message? My message is my life, said Gandhi when a reporter asked him this question. So ask yourself this. If you could replace your name with the life lesson for virtue on accomplishment, a merit, what would it be? Courage, patience, determination, compassion, change. Faith, respect, wealth, Wisdom. Let's say, for example, that you're sad courage to make sure the definition you give yourself is accurate. Asking yourself the following questions. Do you feel that courageous is also how other people think of you? Did they reach out to you for this quality? Do others admire and respect to you for these reasons, if the answer is yes, then there you have it. Your books. Inspirational message is about courage. With this message in mind, you now need to find the most relevant events in your life that led you to become that courageous person. Another example. Your name message is forgiveness. How many people in your life have you forgiven? You ask that question to yourself? Want to have they done to impact to your life That makes your forgiveness so powerful? So your memoir is all about the message. Therefore, you should ensure every story. A tale relates to that message. Another example off my own that growing up in Brazil in a sad home, my name, my message. Waas acceptance When I started writing my own book so accepting my painful past waas a theme one aspect of my life that related directly to this message. Acceptance was the mistreatment I received from my parents, especially my mother. So my first draft about this particular topic was written in the form of a letter to her in that ladder. I asked her why for this and why for that in another 1000 lies and I detailed how her actions and behavior made me feel it was a very long letter. So after rioting, lots of drafts concerning this specific topic, I realized that I only needed one So I asked myself, What waas? The most dramatic moment in my life that involved my mother and a few memories came to me right away. I rolled them down, and in the end I chose to explore one particle event that I late shared in my book. It's titled Working for Hug. So please refer to these two downloadable PdF in this lesson. The passage. Working for a hug to better understand this writing concept on discussing here in this example, I describe the moment when I was cooking and I experienced feelings of anxiety, sadness, strong feelings. This message of acceptance was also connected to forgiveness, since forgiving my mother meant accepting the challenge of my past and overcoming them. So it's important to remember that after you find a solid message, your next step is to write an outline off all of the events in Siris of moments in your life that connect directly to that message in case you're still wandering. Considering reflecting on what your message might be, let's explore method using questions to find some topics that my lead to an inspirational message for your book. Finding a strong topic for your inspirational memoir what is a meaningful subject to you. It can be something that happened a long time ago, something that is happening in your life right now, or war is about events that might or may not happen in the future. Here is some questions to ask yourself that will help to identify a meaningful theme for your book about me. What do I admire most about the person that I have become? What makes me feel proud of myself? What are the core values off my life? What do I love to do, even if others disapprove of it? My past? Who am I not forgiving what happened to me in my childhood, teenage or adult years that I have not yet accepted? What do I miss for my past? What memories would I like to write about? What past events hurt me so deeply that I would never want to wish them on anyone? What painful personal challenges have I overcome, and how did I overcome them? My work? Am I doing what I love? What would I do for free? Am I honestly expressing my feelings to my bus or co workers? Am I afraid I might lose my job If I express myself, Am I making the money? I deserve to make in my helping others with water currently do. What do I do that makes me feel like time doesn't exist? What can I teach others? My intimate relationships? Do I really love him? Her? Do I feel and know that he or she truly loves me? How much of my unhappiness comes from my relationship? How am I contributing to my relationship? Success or failure? Is my partner happy with me? What would be my ideal relationship? What would I like to change my physical house? Why am I not exercising at least three times a week? What is getting in the way? If I am exercising, Do I really enjoyed the physical activities and practicing now? Or am I doing it for others? What is my purpose for exercising? What would I like to change in my body? How would I like to improve my house? My diet? Am I eating healthy? If the answer to this question is no, then why am I not committed to improving my own health by making better choices with what I eat and drink? Why am I eating late at night. Why do I often eat out? Why do I drink alcohol? What would I like to change my family? What do I need to express to my parents? Son, daughter, brother or sister that I haven't yet. Why am I keeping this inside of me? Do I love and feel loved by my family? Explain why on both topics my social life. How many of my friends do I really trust? Why do I trust or not trust them? Do I need more friends? Do I feel sad at times? Because I'm lonely? My spiritual health Water on my poor believes about life. How is my faith in God? Why do I need more spirituality in my life? What daily spiritual practices y value most? How did I become a nay theist? How did I become a spiritual seeker or religious person? My dream life? Where would I love to live? What would I love to do for work? How much money would I like to make a year? How would I like my partner to be? How would I like my Children to be? What would I like to do for enjoyment? General reflective questions What am I afraid off? What would I like to do if I only had a few months to live? Think about, reflect on carefully. Will write out the answers for the questions you feel the most interested in and connected with which ever topic you find yourself feeling the most emotional about is the one you should explore in depth. Sometimes the message becomes clear. Once you start writing your stories about the particular topic that you feel strong about, I recommend that you return to this lesson from time to time. During your book outline process, you might find more specks of your life that will help at further death to your inspirational story. So don't forget it's really important that you take your time to do a full assessment of your life and walk through all of these questions in order to discover what resonates with you the most. What speaks to your heart in the next lesson will delve deeply into your main story and book topic so we'll talk to you soon. 5. LessonFour: How do you choose your topic? Finding a Siris of events that are connected to your message is essential for creating a great May more. These events can become interesting stories that can lead to an inspirational message, and that's what we want. It is great if you can specify a clear message before you explore all of your topics and stories. However, sometimes simply by riding the most memorable, insignificant events over your life can reveal that massive to you. Keep that in mind when looking to find an interesting topic for your book. It's important that you make this transitional connection. For example, think about the beginning of something and then the end. What waas the initials ST off that person off that something. And then what is now the final state of that. For example, you come from poverty to wealth and then resentment to forgiveness. Depression, happiness, fear, courage, self abused, self love, disbelieve to acceptance, anger, kindness, greed, contentment, hatred, compassion, betrayal to honesty, ignorance to wisdom, intolerance. Patients discouragement to joy, stagnation to transformation, shamed grace, confusion through understanding. This is the way you must think when trying to find that topic that interesting topic for your book. Let's explore one topic from list and that will be coming from poverty to wealth. So your stories around the stop IQ need to relate to one another so that your and statement delivers a clear message. This stop ICS. They don't necessarily need to be in chronological order. They don't have to be about you either. For instance, you could write about the person who assisted you through your transition from poverty to wealth. Let's say that person is your uncle, so you could describe your uncle's behavior, habits and teachings. How he's influenced positively contributed to your success. I could tell a story of how one single day you spend working with him changed the course of your life. You could describe from morning to late afternoon and how each hour off that day became a profound lesson taught by your uncle about making money, say vain and accumulating wealth these moments that you walked with your uncle on that particular day, my have been interrupted by his engagement with customers from which your observations became valuable lessons. You learned about how to get rich so you could begin your book with the most meaningful story about that day. This is just an example. So the richer your stories are, the more inspirational they will be. And, of course, remember, they must be true stories. This is very important when looking to find an interesting topic for your book. Focus on your emotional truth, the strong feelings in your perception about the events over your life in around that topic . I'm gonna give you an example. Let's say we're talking about a town, any town, and I could simply write something like this. The town was very small, poor and simple. There was plenty of vegetation surrounding it, and everything seemed to be where it belonged. But the drought wouldn't let it stay green for very long. So as you can see here, I have no emotional connection with this town whatsoever. No feelings. I'm just describing the space as pretty much as it ISS. But let's see now when I write with feelings with emotions about this town, the town is not on any tourist maps, and even today there are no recommended places to eat or sites to see. Its narrow, unpaved streets didn't want it to be more than what they wore the vegetation was grateful when the season of rains revived the landscape. Even the grass, which died before this glorious bath didn't complain about how hard it was to live. It was simply living the life that was meant to live, neither happy nor unhappy but alive. Do you notice the difference? So now the second example? I describe that same town with a lot more emotional truth. They are feelings. So those details about the town they are described through the unique lens of my own perception that makes a huge difference when riding an inspiration of book. So this example of the 2nd 1 will make your stories much more compelling. Engage, inspirational. But for that you need to be connected with your emotional truth. How you truly feel about something As a practice, I suggest that you describe a place or person that you know well, but go beyond the facts, as I showed here with the town example. So let your feelings do the riding for you and that can I fail? It's a sure thing to work when writing an inspirational book. I also encourage you to go back to that list that I provided in this lesson about that transition from one state to another, from an initial state to finally state from poverty to wealth, from depression to happiness, from fear to courage and etcetera. Try to understand also that concept when thinking about your entire book next out. Did you how to write and crafty your outline? And this is where you take all the elements off.
