using Chat GPT four. Whether you are a beginner
or experienced designer, this course is designed to spark your creativity and help you bring your imaginative
ideas to life. Join me and let's embark on this creative adventure
together by why.
2. Midjourney Basics - Account Creation, Midjourney Bot Integration: Today I will be sharing with you my first lesson that I
have crafted for you so you can have a
better understanding of some basic things when
it comes to mid journey. Today we are going
to quickly go over journey account
generation generation, private server generation. Inviting our mid journey boat to our own private
server subscription. I will show you that will be
like the bonus at the end. How to generate some 3
hours on mid journey. You have much more generation per month Without
any further redo, let's jump straight into it. We are going to go to this address,
discord.com slash login. You want to type your
email and password here. I have generated new E mail
address for this court. After we want to find Journey, we are going to do this by
clicking Discoverable Servers, then click on Journey. That is Mid Journey. After this, we want to add private server. We want to generate
our private server so that we can import
journey both later to it. We will do that by
clicking Add a Server. Create my own for
me and my friends. Okay, once that is done, we want to go to
Mid journey again. Then we want to click
Join, Mid Journey. You want to find Journey
bot here, look on it. Then you go to A
when you are here. Basically this is
our private server, now our mid journey boat. The advantages of this is we have journey both
in our private server. It's home, here, it's quiet. There are no images
generation with other people. Then you need to search for your images, stroll through it. It can get busy like this. It is better, yes.
3. Midjourney Subscription Plans & Free Hours Generation: Our second lesson, an
episode where we will talk about subscription
on mid journey. And also how to generate
some free hours so that you can enjoy a lot
of generation per month. Even with the basic plan, I'm going to quickly walk you through some benefits
of subscription, this basic subscription,
without any further ado. Let's jump straight into it. Basically, what I have here open is a Journey.com website. I clicked on signing button. After that, we will type
our email for discourse. We are going to click Authorize. After that, we are immediately transferred to our
subscription page. Basically, we have
three plans here. Basic plan is $8 per month if you choose
a yearly billing. But I would suggest you to choose monthly billing and
opt for this $10 per month. My opinion is that this plan
is enough for purposes of like maybe a bigger generation. It is not just like
if you want to generate maybe ten to 20 images, you can generate with
this plan a lot. I will show you a way
how to generate 3 hours. You can have this basic plan. When you go to
subscribe the process, you need to add details and
credit will have this basic. I want to show you something. When you register for a plan or subscription
on mid journey, you have limited generation
that is 200 a month. You have this limit. But there, I don't know
if you know about this. I will go quickly
into my mid journey. I want to show you
something when we go, when we go to journey. I want to show you this
in my account because I already have subscription
when we go into Journey, when you're subscribe this
will pop up these images. When you go to images, you will have these two images. This is basically where users of Mid Journey
are rating images. They can rate images with pressing number one
and number two. For example, if we like
the second R image, we are going to
click number two. Then we will have another
images to choose. Let's say we like first
one, click number one. This is image rating. Also, you can skip the image here if you don't
like either of them. Basically, the 2000, 2000 users that will have
most rates during one, they will get 13
hour of generation. And 13 hour of generation is, trust me a lot. I hope you enjoy it and we'll see you in the next one, bye.
4. Midjourney Models & Settings: This is our less
number three where I'm going to talk about different journey models in
different settings that we can go into, into prompting. This is important to
understand because if you understand which
model suits for example, in your case your illustration, you will get better result. Let me show you when we go to the Core to
our private server, and we want to prompt here
before that we want to set up the journey in the way that
it works the best as we want. Yes, we will do that by typing
slash and then settings. Once the Windows pop up, you will see that
we are currently using Journey model six. That is the newest model. Journey has different
models such as 5.2 0.15 0.0 mid journey model 43. I think maybe two until one. Yeah, 2.1 I will not talk into details
about every of the. You can, of course,
try it out your case, but I will just try to tell
you the main difference and what you can pay attention to when it
comes to these models. Mid journey model six has been released maybe for
three or four months Now, mid journey model
li six is good for one specific thing
and that is to capture, prompt into details. For example, if you want
to get, for example, a photography of a room
with a man sitting on a green chair with a red
sweater and wearing sunglasses. You can do that
with model V six, but with model five you
can't do that really well. You can prompt it, but
that model will not be capable to deliver
the output you want. Other than that
model six is really, really good in really
natural photography style. You can really almost tell the difference between
is this like journey or is this something that
someone captured with a camera. You know, one other thing that I would like to
mention is if you like, I think you are familiar with animal style characters
and animal style drawing, Japanese drawings for that
particular drawing style here, it's important to say
that that model is nil. If you want like anime
style illustration, Japanese and eastern
wide and colors, you know you will go for Nigel, which is this apple here, or Nig model F. I want to
tell you one more thing, and that is, some people say, I don't know, I think that
is okay in some cases. Some people say for example, Mid Journey model B four
is really good for kits, illustrations for characters, for really capture
the wife like it. So 5.6 is not that
in that level. The best thing here is
you try, for example, you prompt some character and see what type of
style you prefer, what type of
character you prefer, what followers you prefer. You will do that as I explained earlier by going to the chat, your private server
which we have generated, and then just type
settings and Enter. You can basically play around in this model and
see which one you prefer. Regarding the other settings
we mode, we have stylized. I wouldn't go into much
detail in this row. Mode, for example is Mid
Journey has its own filter. When it provides the image, it provides it with
Mid journey filter it. You know how stock photography
has this like wipe of stock photo Mid journey has
that if you click mode, that filter will be gone. You will get more raw
images, organic images. I sometimes like
to turn this on. Next category we
have is the Stylize. We have stylized low stylized
medium, and stylized High. Based on what we choose, we will get image that is more
stylized or less stylized. For example, if you put Stylized Low and we prompt
Car on a white background, we get if we prompt stylize high or choose
stylize high in our settings, even if we prompt car
on a white background, we will get white background, some trees with sun
and some other stuff. In next setting is public mode. Public mode isn't available
in this basic plan, you basically, if you
sweat of public mode, you will get into private mode. But we have private mode for
free because I've showed you how to do this private
server, we don't do that. Remix mode is turned on
in my settings as well. Reid is basically letting us
the images that we generate. For example, if I generate
four images of a car, I can remix one and
get different results. High, high variation mode
when it is turned on, because in every generation
we get four images injury. If high variation
mode is turned on, the difference between those
images is much bigger. We get a variety of options. The difference is
huge, it's turned off. We get images that are more similar in style and aesthetics. Low variation mode is contrary. If we put it, we will get these images that are
similar sticky style. This is something very similar
to lower variation mode. However, if we turn
on a sticky style, we will get images that have a consistent like
branding look to it. I mentioned earlier
stock photography. Our stock photography has this feeling of
stock photo, yeah. If sticky style is turned on, we will get based on
the style we want. We will get those style across many different
outputs and objects. For example, Urba mode and
Fast mode and Relax mode. These are modes, For example, when turbo mode is turned on, we will get faster generation and it will be less expensive. However, the images will
be of less quality. Fast mode is good middle
ground between relaxing turbo. I'm using fast mode, you can put relax mode, but you can put
it in basic plan. Relax mode I think is
for second enter plan, that is basically for this. I will see you in the next by.
5. METHOD #1 - Character Reference : Hello. So today, I'm
going to show you the easy method of generating consistent character
designs. I we journey. This method is the
most simple method. And only if this
method doesn't work, you can go and proceed with a method two shown
in this course. So without any further
ado, let's. M. So this method is all
character reference. This method uses two j commands, and they are command
and SF command. So F and F command. Let me show you
here. So basically what we want to do
I let this channel. So I prompted the M journey to generate an illustration of Poppa with simple gadgets like yellow trainers
and pink hair. So it will be a little
bit different and NG six, G six is this illustration
model journey. It is really, really
good for illustrations. Let's see what we've got here. Okay, so we show our character. I think it's a ping pool. It's maybe in this
imtyle anima style y. So let's upscale this
first one. Okay. For example, if this is our character for let's
say comic book story, and we want this character
to be consistent, we want this character to
be in different scenes, and what we can
do the following. Open this image, click right button on mouse
and copy image link. And then what we want
to do we want to basically prompt the same thing, so we prompted the same, and then we'll just type in in a train station,
let's say like that. And then what we want
to do? We want to copy. Let me we want to now type this and then CR EF and
then pays the image. So what we basically do. We are telling me Journey, so we still want illustration of our fox character with
yellow chains and pink hair. And then we are giving
a one image reference, what kind of character
you know we want. So now we'll enter. While this is generating,
let me show you something. Basically, this is
the easy method. This is from the
beginning to end, you know, but we have
something additional here. What we can do as well. Please I will work you through this example that M
Journey offered already. The the image of this
blue hair guy, see this. Their prompt was illustration
of a man sitting in a cafe. That was the prompt they
got these four results. And if they prompt illustration of a man sitting in a cafe, and then this command
that I was talking about, REF and these two lines. And then they add
this image link. So it is this. They get basically see how nice and consistent
this character is, for example, I see here, check here out, so
really really nice. Here is looking a little bit weird behind
the bar, you know. But here's like
really, really good. Let's see our result
in the journey. So basically so this
is our character. And with this command, we got these results, which I think are
really really nice. So so we have this
consistency, you know, sir, hair style and color ears Maybe is not so
much in this one, but Yeah, basically basically we have this consistency
that you were looking for. What I forgot here to
add is this G six. So when you when you prompt Jan, don't forget to add this
module that you have Let's remix it one more time, and I will add this. See. Sol plan. And let me just
continue with this. Also, I want to so you
so we have two comments. F and S. So let me just
talk about the second. If, for example, pro
illustration of it, and then we add I'm sorry, line line, S RF, and then we past the
image link of the guy. And then we add a
line and line, S REF. And then, again, the same
leak look what we got. I mean, man, this is
like real really next. So not just mid Journeysp know, the character personality phase. It's hoping basically
illustration style, you know, so really, really nice we will
try this in a minute in our discoanel. So Okay. Let's see. So we have this completed
and really, really. So this is our character, and these are results that we got sitting on a train station. I mean, men really, really. Let's try and do both. Let's try with both commands. So I'll remix this. And we will illustration
of folks with yellow trainers and pink
sitting in a train station. So this comment and then we
will add and then pf kitchen and we will read
further resolved. Because in this
example, you see here. Everything is really
look nice, however, I would like a little
bit more, you know, of that similarity in stand. Let's see how this is
working with both comments. So see our character here. Let's see our character here. So it is looking really nice. Yeah. So basically, this
is for this method. I hope that you will
find this method useful. Also, I want to
mention that you can reference a little
bit more characters. For example, imagine that
we have maybe I don't know, four images of this character. And you can reference it. If you have four image
links, you can reference it, but it is not as the mid journey says in
their documentation, it is not a must, you know, So I hope this method
works for you, then you don't need to
go on the second method. A second method is a little
bit older method, you know, and I use it to generate
many different, you know, character
design sheets, and that method is working
really, really well. And it can get a little
bit into more detail, you know, and you can
try different things. We will see the
course, you know, but I hope that this method
works for you and that you will nail the character consistency
right off the bed. So thank you for watching. I will see you in the
next episode. Bye bye.
6. METHOD #2 - Prompt generation for consistent character design: After our introduction to me, journey and going over some settings and how
to set up all of it. I'm going to go now
and to guide you through the character
illustration development, how to create and how to generate consistent character
designs that you can use. Throughout your book, we
will go to some styles, how to craft a prompt. Basically that will be it. Can we to get started on this, let's jump straight
into basically what I want to show you when you're
generating a character. You want from the start to
think to be consistent design. Because if you
generate a character and you don't build
it upon consistency, you will get into
problems later. Basically, let's do just that. If we go into our Discord
channel and open the journey, we will want to, let's say first we need to
name our charter. For example, let our
character be called Mitch. We will prompt it. Aging. I have track it. Here, let me show you. Please see this prompt. We have here a couple of things I want to analyze with you. This, we have a name, you will want to type the
name of your character first. After that, we are
telling me Journey. What we need from it. We
need character design sheet. We want it to have
different poses, expressions. We want the sheet. We are now giving it
emotion prompt, it's cute. Then we are going a
young Japanese girl in a red traditional
mono basically. After you put the name
and what you want, you want character
design sheet for your kids, book illustrations. Then you want to add. If there is something that
your character works, for example a necklace, he maybe a watch. But this needs to be a gadget that character will use
throughout the book. This gadget is fixed.
This is our prompt. After that, we want to take, okay here, Japanese woodcut. We needed flat color. It's good for today
illustrations. Full body, we need full body
from multiple poses and expressions because like that we will have it from
different sides. Angle, smiling, crying, angry. You know, character
concept that accept. We will have this a little bit of conceptual
art that is good. No outline Api beta, okay? No outline a beta. We don't need to prompt that. But Api beta basically means when the images are
generated inside journey there, 1024 by 1024 pixels. If we put Api beta, we are getting to 2048 by 2048 double. It is good because like that
we don't need to upskill, but no need to put, we can upskill the
character late. I want to go with you on this
different prompt as well, so we can study
this a little bit. It is not anything difficult. It is really easy. But there
are a couple of nuances. Yes, we have here makua,
take it's character. Then again, we are
giving a mid journey. What we want, we want character design sheet
with this character. We are now describing
the character like we did in previous example
of young Japanese girl. We are here putting
interesting character from Japanese anime with
different fantasy gadgets. We have here a description, It's interesting character from Japanese animate with
different fantasy gadgets. These fantasy gadgets will be something that
character will wear. Again, we are putting
the same thing flat, polar, because it will
be to the design. Full body, multiple pauses and expressions.
Character concept. Our last example,
third example is tea. We need characterizes
a name. What is tea? An electronic fox. Electric fox. Here we are putting, we want
pixar style illustration. We are giving a mid journey a command to give
it illustration. Japanese Japanese
style is different, multiple poses and expressions, everything else is the same. I would like to to tell you that this white background at the end is really
good for characters. I will show you in a minute
why this video we got into how to start crafting a prompt for consistent
character design. How to structure the prompt. So this will be for this video. I will see you in
the next one by.
7. METHOD #2 - Prompt generation & exploring styles: This is our lesson number five. We are going to
explore here a little bit the styles of your illustration and
your children's book. Basically, I will
show you a couple of different websites and ways how we can prompt for
different styles in our illustration and overall
our children's book. Without any further ado, let's jump straight into it. Basically, here we will
go to the journey, then we are going
to remember this. Character fronts.
Yes, we are going to go click, for example, this pop, we're going
to go sledge image, Ok. Such character design shape. Cute young Japanese girl in a red traditional Japanese
salt followed full body, multiple poses and expressions,
character points, Okay? As you can see in the history of Miami
journey, it is alligator. Last night I was
trying to generate some alligator character prompt for character
design and also how we can prompt for styles because this lesson is based on styles. Before you want to
generate a full book, you want to pick a style that you like and that you want to go after. So let's do that. We will instead of keep she, we will go for maybe tal can
go for maybe design sheet. Okay, we are going to go for for example led to a cute alligator wearing red sun glasses. Red sunglasses will be out like trademark merchandise
alligator is wearing. Believe that in this prompt, instead of Japanese wood cut, we will put style Exp flat flat. We can leave full
body multiple poses in explosion characters. Okay, we can leave
everything as it is. And we will learn this from. So we will see what
the results we. Okay, so basically I think this first generation
is good to go. When we like the
generation we will Bst. However, in this lesson I
don't want to go into that. We will go into that later. Here I want to talk about style. So let me just show you
this E, for example. You can see the style
of the illustration, the drawing here, the colors, the color palette,
the shadowing. Is this something you
like? For example, you can see how the first one and the third one is
totally different. The first on the first
generation is maybe some, a little bit traditional
illustration style. The third one is this modern illustration
style illustration also as you can see. The second illustration style is one of the traditional
styles even though the dinosaur is wearing
like red heap sunglasses. How we can change the styles
and pick the styles we want? This is not necessary step. This is just something
if you will take this and this children's book and maybe after ten
children's book, you want smaller styles, you want to have your
own style that you want to do. Let
me show you this. We will copy this prompt again. I will show you here a website that is called Mid Journey Promise
Generated.com and this section is style viewer. Basically, we have so
many different styles here for mid journey
illustration generation. Don't mind if it says
like this is only for Model 5.1 okay? But you can use similar, we can use the same. The same tag in six. For example, here it says these styles is
called eight bits. This is how it is looking
in the mid journey 5.1 but you can use eight bit as well in version six and you
will get a results. It is just that this
website isn't updated for 65.2 but nevertheless
it has some really, really nice generation styles. We will go through it and pick a style that we like
for our aviator. Okay, I think this one is nice. This style and tag is
called Tunis. Okay. What we want to do, but for example, I really
like this middle one. This is specifically tied to
mid journey version file. What we are going to do, we
are going to go to O and then type settings Center. Then instead of
Journey model six, we are going to choose file
because we like that style, particular style for
our illustration. Okay, so here it is. We have changed
the model and then we are going to put the front. Then at the end we
are going to go type. Or we can go, instead of
pick up style illustration, we can go punish
style illustration. And then at the end,
type punish as well. We emphasize that
style a little. Basically, after
running this prompt, I forgot I have added
white background tag because from the
first we got this, but they are not on
white background. I have added white
background and no Ola. We can now check what we have in terms of
character designs. Okay. Basically you can see how this Tunis five polar palette style
illustration style, mode, mode of it resembles, for example, the ones. I really like this
character design. I think it's cute, it's unique, it's not like generic and really resembling
the polars style. You see, I wanted
to show you this. Basically you can, you can
now try something else. You can really go into that. There are so many styles here, you are just going to go and paste the same prompt
and instead of Peto, replace for example
with let's say art. And it will give that. I don't want to take too
much of your time. I think the videos needs to be a little bit
shorter, Not too long. I showed you how to prompt for characters and generate and
explore different styles.
8. METHOD #2 - Generating Consistent Character Designs & Children Book Development - Part #1: In this episode lesson, we will go to generating a
consistent character design. Then we will go how to prompt it for
consistent characters. And how to put it in
different landscape scenes. And how to generate characters
that are doing something but have that consistent look
without any further ado. Let's jump straight into it. Let's go to our Discord channel. Basically what we want to
do first is we want to grab a prompt that we have for
character design sheet. We talked about this
in previous videos. Let's just grab one of the
prompts for character design. Then we are going to paste
it into Mid Journey. We are going to go imagine past our prompt then
what we want to do. We need to do a
couple of things. We need to think of a
name of our character. Let's say our character is
named Al, Be or alligator. All we want character
design sheet, we want him to be cute. Okay? And we want to
describe it. Who is all? For example, instead of young Japanese girl in a
red traditional kimono, we will do a cute alligator
wearing red sun glasses. We don't need Japanese food cut. Instead of it Ib
style illustration, you can put whatever you want. You can put like watercolor. You can put in, I showed
you in the previous video, the styles viewer where you can see the style you like
and just put it here. Let's do illustration. Let's do for full
body multiple poses and expression characters. Good, we will hit. Now what we also, I forgot to mention, I have added white background, no outline as well
to the prompt. And we are using
journey six for this. Basically, you can
see this front, You can copy, you can type it, you can post a video and see it. Regarding these designs, I think the best one is number two, also because we have a alligator
from the back capture. That is really
important. But however, I want to see a couple of different versions of this
if you like the design, but you are not 100% into it. You are going to in the
mid journey in this grid, we are counting first, second, third, and fourth. You know it's second,
third, and fourth. This is second design and
we are going to click two. We want variations of it, so basically after
summary mixing, we have got one moment please. After summary mixing, I have to choose
this set of images. Basically, you will
want to try to remix a little bit and try to get
at least one front pose. One back pose, we have it maybe sides and some
weird expression. We get really cool character. Some of these are not like 100% you just don't
need to choose it. For example, I want
to show you this. This is important
if for example, like, okay, this one
doesn't have back poles. Let's go upscale two. I will show you real quick. Okay, you like this one and it doesn't have a
proper back pole. This is more of a side,
you can go were in saddle, click it and just include
back poles, then submit. Basically, it will give a
character with a back pose. You will have it
with a back pose, generating a character that you like takes a
little bit of time. But when you do it, you know, that will be basically, I think we're good
to go with this. A next step to do is we need to open this image
opening browser, then write thick on it
and sage or save images, we will save it on desktop. We have it. After that is done, we are going to go
to website poll. Praat. Okay. After that you want to go to upscale
and hence and click run. After that, please go drag and drop and
paste this image here. Also, while that is uploading, we need prompt for this image. We are giving this enhancer a little bit more
information about this image, this
enhance upstair. We want to copy this prompt. No need to go No out line
and six for it then. This is already generated
by this software, but we are going to delete
it and paste our prompt. Then click X. It will say resolution
marks that 2048 pixels. That is enough for this purpose. Then we're going
to click Enhance. Okay, the enhancement
is completed and you can see now before and after we have our character. After this is completed, we will download this
image and I'm going to alligator character going
to generate new per and you alligator one alligator
character she design. So we will have it after
that is completed. What we need to do
is we need to close the Cai and open another software.com It is
like online Photoshop. It is free. That
is why it's good. We are going to
open from computer, then find out folder, and then we're going
to click open. Once that is open, we are going to click
here on the rectangle, select click anywhere on the background and click
Remove Background. The background will be
removed we need for this purpose and other
stuff should be deleted. We will do that by
clicking here Eraser Tool, and clicking the image
here on the right. Not now selected this background,
we need to click Image. And we are going to
right click and change the brush size to make it
a little bit bigger and delete everything that
we don't need from this. Okay, so that is basically it. After that is completed, we need to save
each separate pose as the individual file. We don't need to do every of it, We will just pick those we like. I think the minimum
is three pose, but more the better. I think we will go with maybe three to four for this purpose. Or maybe, let's see, we will do it now. I will just post the
video and so you don't need to sit
and watch this part. Also, I wanted to show you
when you crop the image, you will go file Export PNG. That is important, you are
exporting the image PNG. Then just going to
click and then sale. And you're going to
paste it into folder. I will repeat the part. Also I want to mention when
you crop the image, sometimes there will be part
extending to this image. We need to delete those if we have some extra stuff we
need to delete those and then save when we have those
file cropped and exported. Let me just go quickly. We will have it
here. Okay, we have the files now it's
time to just check. Okay, now it's time to pose
files back to midjourney. We will go into mid journey. Take this plus file, we will find our We will load all those images. This will be like basically, reference image
that we work with. A text prompt to give
us character design. We are going to hit Enter here. Basically, we have our character in different poses,
different expressions. The next step is to go and
past. Let's put it here. We have alligator character. We need to, we will click on the image,
this is important. Then click Opening Browser, so we have the best quality. Then copy image link, then we are going
to pat that image. You can past note that I'm using this
former.com software. I will paste those image links. I will post the video so you don't have to
watch it all through. Once we have all those images links copied into one place, we are going to go and find our. We are going to copy. Imagine the prompt,
What we want to do now. We want to now generate a scene and something that
our character is doing. For example, let's
say we have a scene where our character alligator
is licking an ice cream. We will do that by
editing this prompt. Like character design
sheet, we will remove that. We will remove any
reference to this sheet. Character development,
cute alligator wearing red sunglasses. We will put it an screen in the R. We will go pier style illustration
flat for a full body, multiple poses an expression
character concept. We will remove all of it. Basically, we don't want to
put any of the image links. We are now just
generating a scene. Then I will show you
how to proceed further. Let's just generate this
scene and then I will show, now we have our character linking an ice cream
with sunglasses. We can see that
this character is alligator with sunglasses
and licking an ice cream. But it isn't this one we want consistency basically
what we want to do. Also, I forgot to
mention that I want to prop this one more
time because I want to get this horizontal
landscape format. It's 169. I want to do that, imagine we are going
to do that by doing, Imagine then pasting
our front and then going ratio 16 by. We are going to
prompt it because when we are generating
maybe five children's book, we wanted to be a little
bit more horizontal. We wanted to have a little
bit more landscape into it. We will wait. I
will post the video in a second. I will
be right back. Our character is
almost done here. I think we are going to
go for this adoption. Let's just finish generation. We will go for
this third option. Then what I'm going
to do is just what I don't like about this
is like ice cream are basically growing
from the round here. If you don't like any
of the images provided, you will click, you're
going to submit it again. I will be right back. I think this second generation
is much better. I think we can go
like for this one. For the second one, I
think it's really cool. We are going to upscale it. When we do that, we have
a scene with a character, but it is not, albeit it
is not our alligator. You know how we will achieve to have like
consistency here. Basically what we want to do, we want to go back to this text, to the software where
you have copied image links that we did
previously and copy all of it. Then you want to go into this image and
click very strong. Then you are just going
to paste these links before the name of the
character and then hit space so we have some
space and then kick submit basically
when we prompted, I found when we prompted
with image links. Let me just sroll it here. I think this character is
reminding me of our Al. Yeah, but what's
the problem here? This character has like those red spots on the
body, for example. When you find a character that
is really looking similar, you want to do two things. You can scale it and
then go a little bit, or you can do variations.
Let's do both. Let's do variation
of second character. Let's upscale it and then we
will do this Wary saddle.
9. METHOD #2 - Generating Consistent Character Designs & Children Book Development - Part #2: So we will get more
generations that are in this direction. You know. Okay, here we are
getting a character that is similar to our Al, but for some reason the mid journey is putting
some like dots on it. Okay, now we are having a character that is
look similar to our. We did variations. It is important that
you remember stuff that you do and experiments that
you do and see results. For example, here
we did variations, let me just check
variation saddle and here we did
variation strong. Basically this generation is from this generation,
very subtle. You remember this generation, We have found this image and we hit it gave us better results. In my opinion, the
best character here for consistency
is this second one. As you can see, second
it has like these dots, it is really looking
like our Alp. The only thing what
different is sunglasses. You can see our alum is varying, like circular sunglasses. What we can do here is
basically we will upscale this. I will want to show you
this. We will upscale it. And then what we will do, we will find an image
of our character here. We are going to
screenshot only the face. Then we are going to get out. We are going to upload the face by clicking plus upload a file, Flow the file, and
then hit Enitor. After that is done, we
are going to click on it. Opening browser, copy image, link, close it and
past we will do it. Paste it into a text program. We will have it for later. All pat link to Allvat. We will now do the next. We will use this, we
will click very strong. Instead of all these
images of Alb, we will just do one image of his face to see
how that we look. I like to do sometimes
very subtle as well. When I'm doing this, we will do very subtle
so we can compare. Then we are going to click Submit and we'll wait
to see the results. What we have? Yes, basically
after some back and forth, I have posted the video. So to generate, so you don't have to watch through it,
What basically happened? Remember how we how I can
just screenshot the head. You know what I had a problem is to get it
circled sunglasses. What I did in the end mid journey didn't respond well to just cropping the head. That part you can try, but in this case it
didn't work. What worked? Actually, let me just show
you here what worked. I did the same
copied image links without the head and did
albeque delegator wearing red. And then I just added
a circled sunglasses. We basically got our character. When you are satisfied with the character, I like this one, you are just going
to click on Abstain. Then we have our character. As you can see here, we have our character that is
really a consistent design. You can now it for example, you can do variations
of it, you see. You can get 100% But I wouldn't worry
about that too much, because when the
readers are reading, they are not looking into so many details and that
is really hard to do. 100% match, that is something
we are working with, the designers all the time and figuring out a man journey. But 100% match is really
difficult to do entire resuming. Let me just show you here. Basically this is
the consistency, in my opinion, that
journey can get. For example, one moment, let's just finish generation. Okay, so we have it here. I'm going to remix
one more time, this to see if we can
get a little bit, but I think this character
is really close to our Ab. But let's do another remix
another generation to see if we can get something
even more similar. Yeah, Basically all
could go under all. Yeah. For example,
this one on the right, I really like this one. We will settle for
this one maybe. Let me just go through
time. Yeah, sure. This one number number four. But I would like to get
one more variation of it. I really like Mr. Jumble. I think it's really amazing. Here is like fat and
eating ice cream. And it's really almost the
same character what we can do. Let me just quickly see. Yeah, I like this. Number three. We will go for it,
we will scale it, and it's a, it's our character
eating an ice cream. But what we need to pay
attention, for example, see how our character
doesn't in red, he has it in green color. So for example, we,
there's two ways. There is a manual way which
I think it is okay to do it, but we can do it
maybe like this way. We are going to go wary region, then we are going to
select only the spikes. Spikes. Or we'll see if we
can get the right result. Okay, Yeah, that's
basically perfect. It doesn't have to
be like 100% green, but we have propped it
and managed to get it. I think this image number two
is looking the best here, and we will wait for
generations to complete. Then we are going to upscale it. When we have this
finished illustration, we are going to click
Zoom out number. Zoom out two X. The last command we are going to
give for this illustration, we will get this character out. We have, we have a landscape. Let's see, this will bow, okay. In some way we have some really weird wise
piece around our image. We will fix this by going
upscaling either of these. I like, number one. Then we will have
this landscape format and we will region. We are going to select
all these white parts and use a little bit
also of this lasso tool. We select all of
the white parts, then we are just going to
type far in Pin Creek. Submit our images is completed here. As you can see, we have our LB eating a nice cream in a park. I don't know, I like this second the most. So we will upscale. This is our final
illustration we have, albeit in an ice
cream in a park. After this is completed, we can move to one another. This is our final output
for this illustration. What I would like to
tell you at the end, we will need to upscale this. We get the best
quality that we can. You can see how this
quantity is really nice, but we will do two more things. Or final output, we will go upscale saddle and
we will wait for it. So our images is now
basically almost done. After the images is completed, we will open it browser and
you will see the resolution. How nice it is. Yeah, this is our
resolution for the image. This is enough, and
it is really four HD. But if you want to go
even step further, you can go to cap this image like I
have showed you and get even more better
and creased result. That is basically for this, after this is completed, you want to go and
save this image. We are going to say
allocate to character two. We are going to
allocate T final. We have that that is complete, for example, is the same work. If you want to generate
second images, for example, just follow this
outline I have shown you. For example, if you
want now I'll be to be maybe working in a
gym. You can prompt that. Don't be afraid of
going back and forth with journey that
needs to be done. Some people like asking, okay, consistent
character, how is done? You can do it, yes,
you can do it. But consistent character design, it needs to have a little
bit of back and forth. It's nothing too
tough or anything. You need some patience and
reservice to go through it. Basically, this is
it. I will now show you how we can take this illustration inside photo and generate our
start of a book. You can follow this outline and work around for
different pages. For example, imagine
if we have a story. Let me just real quick here, we will exit this new project. Okay, so you want
to go to Photop. You want to click a new project. After that, you want to put, I have to say it here. Or reference, we
need to put here. Okay, we need to. Let's name our project one. Let's say size will
be in centimetres and exact size is 42 by 14.8. Dpi will be 300 Pixelare image CMYK Coring. Don't need to put CMYK now, because Photopia doesn't
have it right here. We are going to click Create. Okay? So we have this format, but here under image mode
you are going to pick NYK and we are into that
image mode for printing.
10. ChatGPT + Photopea (storyline + preparing book for print): We are going to go to
image canvas size, then we want to change
here to centimeters. We are going to put 42.6 then 15.4 nectric cocaine. After that is done, we need to bring our rulers up. Then we add 0.3
centimeters at the top, 0.3 centimeters at the bottom. With our rulers. Say that, okay, we add that at the bottom. Also, 14.8 We need to add 0.3 so that will be 14.5 0.3 10 centimeters at the
bottom and on side as well. 0.3 We are basically preparing a document
that will be for kids book, you know, pretty. Okay. We have it down here. This one, we will add 0.3 that would be okay. So we have our document. Now what we want to do is, for example, imagine, let's
go to char GPT for a second. Let's say write me
a short sentence, seen sentence scene
with a character with all character an ice
scream in the forest. I have a illustration
of this character, an ice scream in the forest
wearing red sunglasses. Write me a full three
sentences, it shook nicely. See, it's see it is for a
kid's book illustration. Okay, I will from the GPT
to make it shorter and make 434 year old kid sunny forest delegated San Glass
jamming with Joe. Okay, remain this character, this character as
need a sunny forest, I'll be the alligator
wearing two red sunglasses, needles as he leaves his yay. Okay, we are going to do this. Basically you will want
to grab a brush tool. And then just like separate
intuition with the sense, how many do you want for photo space and how
many for texts? After that is done, you can
go and click on the type two. Always leave a little bit
of space on the edges. It is looking much nicer. With this so called white space, we will put it, okay. In a sunny forest, I'll be the alligator poured sunglasses, eagles, as he licks
his yummy ice cream. Okay, that is basically. Yeah, that will be basically our first page for your kid's illustration book. That is the process. Also,
just one quick note I forgot to mention is what
is important to check. For example, we have
here a 42 centimeters. 42. We need to go and see
that our character, 42/2 is 21. 21 is middle. 21 is, we have 42. 21 is middle. We will click okay. We need to have our character on the right side and character
needs to stay on the right. So for example, if the character was like
this, that is not good. It will get separated
and that is not good. You need always character. I think it is the best
that we put t even more certainly
that large talton, but so basic nature, some room to breathe. Okay? Now, basically when you
are going to export, this will be page one. Page two, when you open it, this is on left side and
this is on the right side. When you want to export it, you are going to use a crop. Just go until this line, until you have 21
because that is a half. This should be cup, you know. Let's see if we ask for this. May maybe work. We shall just, let's see it. Okay. Yeah, that works. So basically this will
be the left page. And then you are going
to export the right. Then we are going to
export the right. Then we are going to
go file export as J packed says this. Now we have page
one and then page two of our children basically. Basically when
that is completed, there are a lot of like
I don't know how to say, I can search for it but you
can find it on the Internet. It's super easy.
Like JP generators. Let's do it right now.
Why not see this one? Mine? Let's see. Let's see, I'll be second. No, let's see, I'll
be 1.2 pads. Second? Yeah, that is we have now
first and second page book. Last thing I want
to talk about to you is content cue
in the chat GPT, basically that is really easy. I will tell you how I do it. You need to go and look
at chat GPT like really. Assistant. The more
you talk to Judge GPT, the better results we'll get. For example, in this case
you want to write a story of alligators that are like close friends and that are
doing sports together. We will basically write that
Judge PT and I will use this version 3.5 because
I have this paid version. I don't know if you
have paid version. We are going to work
on this basically we are going to please write me a story about alligators that
are really close friends. They are one thing to
see good at sports. And their motto, that preparation
comes through sports. And you told as well for this flood through
sports and definition. And that will be the
model of the story. For to also I forgot to mention when
you are prompting GPT for some specific case
you want to tell GPT. For example, like this, you
are a children book Oct, you won many different
awards for best writing. You want to give it a false, you want to me it moral of the story for
kids to take a less. Okay. When that is done, we want to prompt it a
little bit to go through it. We will do it like this. You are a children book out. You won many different
awards for best writing. Please write me a story
about two alligators that are really close friends. They're wanting to be good at sports and that is their motive. They see that progression comes through sports
and education. That will be the moral of the story for kids
to take a lesson. Now we are three sentences for 24 page and illustration
ideas for the book as well. That will be. Let's enter. Let's see what we got. Okay, I'm happy to help you create a story for children who. Here's a brief story da, along with the
illustration suggestion titled The Alligator Athletes. Okay. In a peaceful swamp, two alligators
name Alex and all. Okay. It is good. It
is giving our names. Lived as the best of friends. They admire the
athletes who visited their swamp and dreamed of becoming sports
star themselves. Willingness with
dedication and teamwork, they began practicing
different sports, but they face many
challenges along the way. Throughout their journey,
they learned that true progression in sports and life comes
through dedication, hard work, and
supporting each other. In the end, they
became championship not only in sport, but
also in friendship. Okay, illustration page 1.2 illustrate Alex
and all playing in the swan booking at at
least with admiration. Page six to seven showed them trying their hand at
sports like swimming, basketball, and running,
each with a humorous twist. Okay? But I don't know
why it is skipping. Let me just check this. Okay, So please don't
split any pages with the demonstrations
and demonstrations ideas that holds the wide
need three sentences, the fed sentences
for every 24 page. Okay, let's see now. Okay, so certain. Here's a more detailed
breakdown of the story with three plot sentences for
each of the 24 pages. This is okay, so we have
now illustration page 1.2 Alex Andale in their
truck will swamp home, watching athletes feel
admiration. That is good. Alex and two best
friends lived in a cozy swamp where they
admired athletes who visited. They dreamed of becoming athletes themselves
and decided to embark on a sports adventure
that will be page 1.2, Page 3.4, Alex discussing
their dream with excitement surrounded
by sports equipment. What inspired by the dream, they gather sports
equipment like balls, hoops, and swimming, ready
to start their journey. Basically, this is how you can work on the story prompted GPT. Please feel free in any way to pause the video and see
what I have prompted. So you can prompt it as well. If you have any questions or anything, please let me know. This was a really fun
project to work with you. I hope to hear from you so.
