1. Introduction: Hi, I'm Gaba, and if you're here, you're probably wondering how to crack the TikTok code and put your mark on this platform. I've been exactly where you are. When I started my TikTok journey, I have no clue about this platform and how it works, but right now I got videos hitting more than 1 million views. TikTok isn't just love. It's about understanding how the platform works, using trends to your advantage, and creating content that resonates with people. Good news is that you don't need to figure it all by yourself because in this course, I'm going to share the strategies that work for me so I can grow your audience, create irl content, and make TikTok work for you. Whether you are a business owner, a fellow content creator or just a person simply interested to learn more about this platform, this course is specifically for you because it's practical advice on how to take advantage of this platform. Thank you for listening, guys. See you inside. 2. TikTok – Why It’s Relevant and Who’s Using It: Let's talk about what is TikTok and why is it relevant to you. As you may know, it is a huge platform by now. It has more than 1 billion users worldwide. The difference between other social media platforms and TikTok is that Tik Tok shows your videos, your content to new people. That means that you don't need to have a huge audience, a huge following before you can even perform well. I've seen so many success stories by now that I'm convinced that everybody can make TikTok work for them. If you're not yet convinced if TikTok is for you, hear me out. I'm going to give you a few examples for you to decide if this would work for you or not. I'm sure it would. For example, you own a bakery. You could promote your bakery on TikTok. It's a great platform to use and you could be sharing content from behind the scenes, for example, cooking, or you could also show how you prepare for the opening of your bakery. Or for example, you are a scientist. You could also be using this platform. You know why? You could be explaining the really complex concepts in really easy to understand way, and people will still find you interesting. If you're not yet convinced, you can go ahead and open your TikTok app, research your product, or your service, and see how other competitors do get some inspiration and motivation to start. As I mentioned before, I am convinced that every business and every person can find something to do on TikTok and that is a great platform to use for all of us. Now that you got your motivation ready. Let's move on to the first module. 3. What is Algorithm?: You're ready to dive into your first lesson. In our first lesson, we're going to talk mostly about algorithm. I'm going to explain what algorithm is, how it works on Tik Tok, what algorithm loves, what algorithm hates, and what tips do I have to boost your algorithm as well. Let's get started. Algorithm is like a director who basically decides which videos, which post get the spotlight and which don't. A. Let's say you post a video on TikTok. It is then shown to an audience, a set number of people. And based on how these people interact with your video, then the TikTok decides if they should show this video to a bigger audience or they should just leave it at 4. What Makes Algorithms Happy?: The first one is watch time. The more people are going to watch your video till the very end, the better that video is going to perform. The best strategy on how to keep your viewers interested in your video is to use a hook, in my opinion. If you don't know what the hook is, a hook is basically a sentence that you can use in the beginning of your video to describe what that video is about without disclosing the entire outcome information, if it makes sense. Let me give you a couple of examples that you would understand me a little bit better. The first one would be five things I wish I would have known before moving to Spain. Or three things I regretted after moving to Australia. So that would show what you're going to be talking about but wouldn't actually tell you more of it. But hook people to watch your video a little bit further. There's a bunch of hooks you could use, but I'm going to make a list with the most common hooks that may be relevant to your field and that may be useful for you to use in your video is just to get some inspiration. The second factor is engagement. TikTok as any other social media platform also tracks the engagement, meaning likes, comments, shares, mentions, anything engagement related. For this reason, it is extremely important to make your viewers interact with your post in one way or another. I found to be very effective is the use of call of action. If you don't know what the call of action is, is basically a sentence once again and it's used usually at the end of the video, but also could be used throughout the video or in the beginning even. Let me just give you a couple of examples so you understand it better again. Call of action that you could be using in your videos could be something like tag your friend who would you like to take to Spain, or, for example, save this video for your future trip to Netherlands or double tap this video. If you found this helpful, then they're going to like your video. So all of these follow actions that the viewers would remember to interact with your videos. Third one is relevance. We're going to touch this topic quite a lot and talk about it in more detail. But right now just to simply explain what it is, it's basically trends and any hot topics. We're going to cover up first and talk about how to find these relevant topics to talk about on Number four is consistency. Once you start posting on TikTok, you may notice that you're not getting as many views as you would love to get, but that's right. It takes a few weeks, it takes few months to get on your feet on TikTok because TikTok also looks at your consistency and how often do you post if you're keeping your posting regular. For this reason, my advice would be to side before starting TikTok, how many times a week are you actually going to post? Are you going to post three times a week? Are you going to post every day of the week? Because you're going to have to keep that consistency going. The fifth one and the last one is video so of course, you don't need no fancy equipment when you're just starting off. The phone is going to do just fine, but you still need to make sure that you have good and high video quality when you're posting. A couple of tips. If you're filming yourself, make sure that you're in front of the light so the video is better quality and also add options to every video of yours if you're speaking throughout the video. That also makes it easily accessible for all the people who may not be able to hear your video, but may be able to still watch and read from the caption. 5. What Makes Algorithms Angry?: There's four main groups of hashtags. I'm going to go through all of them and explain it in more details. The first type of hashtags is broad hashtag. I'm sure you've seen them anything like irl or UPage trending. While these hashtags are going to give you a shot to the bigger audience, there's also some limitations involved because your video may be lost in thousands of other videos with the same hashtags. That's one of the reasons why I'm not the biggest fan of these broad hash tags. I prefer the other ones which I'm going to talk about shortly. But of course, if you want to use them, you can just try to experiment with one or two to begin with. The second one is Niche hashtags, which are my favorites. These usually target a specific group and help you connect with a focused audience. Let me give you a couple of examples so you understand me better. A niche hashtag could be something like bread recipes or home workouts or Spanish recipe, something that is quite specific. The third group is trending hashtags, anything that would associate a specific trend. By using these hashtags, you would get a better chance to be exposed on a for you page of a person who was previously interested in this trend. Fourth and last group is brand specific hash tags. These hashtags are great to be used whenever you're creating a brand or for example, running a new campaign. We've seen these examples across the bigger brands. For example, Nike is using do it. Lial is using because you're worded, or Coca Cola is using the feeling. The hashtags can help gather and track the content around your brand. Now you may be asking how many hashtags you should use per post. It is a tricky question. TikTok allows you to use up to 4,000 characters in a caption, and you should aim to use around three to five keywords. But of course, keep playing and experimenting with hashtags and see what works for your brand specifically. Now we already covered how to find the right keywords and topics for your TikTok videos. You can use the same tools for hashtags as well, but I'm happy to show a few other ways on how to find the best keywords and hashtags. The first one is TikTok Analytics. So let's show them to the video where I show you how. So let's dive in. To open Tik Tok Analytics, all you need to do is click on these three dots, click on Creator tools and view Analytics. First, why the TikTok Analytics is so important. Firstly, it helps you track your performance, so it helps you to understand your audience and their behavior. And also at the same time, optimize your content strategy to grow engagement. So once you open Tikto Analytics, you're going to be seeing this view. As you can see, the data is from the last seven days, you can of course change it to whatever you prefer the past 28 days, 60 days, or the entire year. You can also customize it in case you're looking it up for a certain period, let's say. So over here, you can see how many video views my videos got in the past week, how many profile views did I get, likes, comments, shares. You can also see the traffic source where my audience came from, from for page or from the search, or did they check my profile and found my video? Click on content, you're going to see my top post in the past seven days again. So you're going to be showed the views in the last seven days. So for example, this video got 52 K views in the past week. Also filtered by most new viewers, likes, new followers, et cetera. Look on viewers, you're going to find some information on your audience. So here you can see the total viewers, and here you can see the new viewers. You also have the explanations if you want to learn more about it. Over here, you can see the timing when my audience was the most active in the past seven days. So this can also help me to understand when should I post my videos. On the right side, you can see the gender of my audience, also the age groups, and locations. So where my audience from once again, this information is for the past seven days. It can be completely different if I select a different time frame. So don't forget about it. I click on followers. Again, I can see how many followers I have, also the gender, age, and locations once again. This information is specific to my followers and not the viewers in general. So it can help you to identify which types of contents perform best for you. Analyze the most effective times to post your TikTok on. It will also help you to access the impact of your campaigns and collaborations. I also help you to get some information on people you should be targeting in the future. So once again, once you start posting, you can always regularly review TikTok analytics and see how your posts perform and what you could do differently to improve your strategies and your performance. Another one is a website called CTech as Some Video Once again. It's free for the most part, and it's very, very easy to use. So as you can see, on the right side, you have the TikTok trends and the TikTok tools. Under the TikTok trends, you're going to see trending songs, craters, topics, hash tags, and under Tik Tok Tools, you're going to see a variety of tools that you may use on this platform. I usually stick to these ones, the tools. I'm not really interested in TikTok trends, but if you are, you can also feel free to explore it. So let me show you a few tools that you may find useful. First one is hash tag generators. So if you don't feel researching the topic, you're going to post about, you may also take advantage of this tool. So all you need to do is enter a few keywords. For example, I create travel related contents. I'm just going to type something like Travel, MogoTsT do, and click on Generate. And just like that, I'm going to be given some hashtags that I may want to use in my content. If you scroll a little bit down, you're going to see how many times these hashtags have been used. And just like that, this tool can generate some hashtags that may be useful and save you some time. Other great tool here is Analytics and profile viewer. So let me just look up a very well known profile. And now we can see everything about this person's profile. So if you scroll down, you can see the total followers likes and average engagement rate in the past ten posts. If you scroll further, you're going to see total engagement rates and video performances. This tool also gives you the most use hashtags. This is amazing when trying to look up your competition and decide which hashtags could be effective. I also love about this store is if you scroll down, you can see the timing, the video was uploaded. So if you just scroll down and basically analyze every video and the timing, you can come up with the most effective time to post on TikTok. But again, use this technique only with your competition or with someone who is posting about the same topic or similar another tool is video downloader. So let's just create a scenario. Let's say you post your video on TikTok, but you forget that you wanted to save this video prior because you also wanted to upload this video on Instagram. The thing is, once you post a video on TikTok, you can download it without a Watermark. And if you, let's say, post on Instagram with TikTok Watermark, your video may not perform as well because these platforms. Let's just say don't like each other. So the best thing to do is use these kind of platforms like Countach and enter the link of your video and download the video without that water. Other tool that you may find useful is voice generator, of course, you could select a person a voice that you want to use and write some text. For example, hi, my name is Naba. I could simply generate it real quick. Right now, I could see download it and it would sound something like that. Hi, my name is Gabi. Now I showed you the tools that I find the most useful, but you can also explore other fun tools over here like compare users where you can compare two accounts or money calculator where you can see how much that person approximately gets per post. So just play it, experiment and see what you can find. 6. Hashtags, Keywords, Ideas. Why It Matters?: Come to your next lessons. In this lesson, we're going to focus on keywords, hash tags, and we're also going to cover where to look for those hot topics to post about. The reason why this topic is extremely important to hear about and to master is because it's going to determine where your post is going to be placed by dicta and to whom your video or post is going to be shown. I believe it's also important to mention that your keywords, your hashtags, the video content, and what you're talking throughout your video and captions, all need to go hand by hand. Because if you master one and forget another one, your video may not perform as well. 7. Idea & Keyword Foundations: So with all of that in mind, let's start with keywords and where to find them. Okay. So whenever I need to come up with my own keywords, what I usually do is think what my content is about, first of all, and then I also put myself into a viewer position and think, Okay, what I would need to search for in the search bar to actually find that video? So the first one is TikTok search bar. I know it looks obvious, but it gives a lot of good insights into your topic. So let me show you how it works. Let's say we're creating a TikTok about Barcelona, and we know that we want to post something about it, but we don't know what exactly would be relevant for other people and our audience. So all you would need to do is enter your keyword into the search bar. And just like that, on the left side, we're going to see some queries appearing that people were also looking for. If you click on particular query you're interested in, for example, Barcelona things to do. You'll see the variety of videos appearing. You can just look through them, see what hashtags, what keywords they were using, and just analyze them a little bit. You can then also click back on the search bar and explore the further topic. Dig a little bit deeper into your wide topic. For example, Barcelona things to do in January, Barcelona things to do in December, Barcelona things to do when it's raining. That could give you an idea what could be relevant and what would be more of a niche. Another great tool is Google trends. Let's move on to the video where I show you exactly how to use. Just before we start, I want to briefly explain what Google trends are used for. It usually used for several things, for example, competition analysis or for researching any relevant keywords or new trends that are emerging. Now let's jump to the part where I explain you how to use it. All you need to do first is enter your keyword into the search bar and also click on Explore. The keyword could be something related to your brand, your business, or something that you create your content so for example, right now, I'm interested in creating some content about Malaga, and I want to research what is relevant. And once I enter my keyword and click on Explore, I'm going to be redirected to this page with all the data. On the left side, you're going to see the term that I was looking for, and on the right side, you're going to see another box that could be used to compare this term to another term. For example, Malaga travel to Barcelona Travel. Underneath my term, you also see a few filters. So the first one is location. If you have a specific target market, you can simply enter that country over here. If you don't have it, don't worry, you can simply choose worldwide. The second filter is the time range. So you can basically select between a few hours, days, months, or even years, and it helps you to filter all the short term and long term trends. You also have an option to choose a category, which could be something like health, business, sports, et cetera. And the last filter is web search. Basically the type of it, I'm going to stick to websearch, but you can also choose any of these ones as Google Shopping or YouTube search. Now let's move on to the data. The first thing that you see is interest over time. If you want more details about this data, you can simply click on the help button and you're going to receive those details in front of but you can basically see the interest, how many times people were looking for this term over time, over 90 days and you can simply analyze it by dragging it. You can also download it if you would like. Then if you scroll down, you can see interest by region. Which countries research my term the most and you can again simply scroll and see which country is the most interested in this particular term. If you scroll further, you're going to see my favorite part, which is related topics and related queries. The reason why this part is the most interesting for me is because it shows the ideas that I could be creating content about. I always pay attention to related queries and the rising option because it shows all the emerging trends. For example, I can see that in the past 90 days, people were looking up for weather in January and April, so it could give me an idea to create content related to weather in Maga, and I could simply explore everything else what to do in Malaga, again, whether, et cetera. If I want to gain a little bit more information into one of these specific terms, I could simply again click on it and I'm going to be redirected to another page that would show me the data for this particular trend. Once again, I would scroll down and I would see if I can get any further information that could be relevant to me. And again, I'm just going to note everything down all the keywords that I could be using in my videos, in my description, in my captions or hashtag, something that would be relevant to me. So just have a look at it, keep analyzing everything and see if you find the tool useful. The third one is competition. So in business, you need to know what your competitors are, what are they doing, what's working for them, what doesn't work for them, and it's the same anti clock. It gives you great insight into what is working and what's not working in this platform for them. You could also know approximately what to post about or just to get inspiration. The fourth way I love to use when trying to come up with ideas about what to post next or when trying to come up with my keywords is the comment section. Why is it so great is because you can learn what your audience is interested in and you would also reply to that comment not only by commenting back, but also with the video. Whenever you're replying with the video, that video is going to be shown in the previous post of yours where that comment was that way, you would bring the traffic from your previous video to your new video. Let me show you how to reply to Tikta comment with a video. All you need to do is click on Inbox activity and then sort activity by commans. Now that you have all your comments in front of you, just select a comment you wish to reply with a video to and simply click on notification. Hold on a comment until a few options appear. Select reply with a video option. You will then be redirected to a window to film a video or edit your existing one. Keep in mind that a comment will appear on your screen and you can drag it, you can zoom it in or zoom out as well. You're done editing, adding music, text or name it. Simply click on Next, fill in your description, set up your location, and you're good to go. Once again, you can pose this video straightaway or save it as a draft. The fifth one is greater search Insights. This is a quite new tool, and I'm excited to show you how it works. Let's move on to that now jump into the part where I explain you where to find it and how to use it. To find it, just open your TikTok app, go to the search Bar, search for creator search inside and Tab view. Once you're there, you're going to see the following. Under suggested or you're going to find all the content and ideas that TikTok believes could interest you. But what we really want to focus on is under suggested and content content gap shows you the ideas that people are looking for, but Tiktat doesn't have enough content off. If you're aiming for better visibility and reach, I would recommend focusing on these topics from the content gap and also the ones that would have a red number near them. If you have no idea what these numbers mean, the gray number indicates how many times user search for this specific topic and the red one reflects the growth rate of searches for that particular topic compared to a previous period. Now let's talk about how to use it. You can see that you have a save bar as well, but if you want to create a video straightaway, you can just click on a little camera, record your video or upload your video if you already have one and proceed to uploading as regular. Right now, you can also look at the topics your follow search for and you can also click on trending and filter the topics based on the category. The last option, if you don't find anything relevant to your content, you can also make use of the search bar and just look up the topic relevant to you. That's a wrap. Hope you find it useful, and I really hope that you're going to try it out. 8. Finding Hashtags that Fit: There's four main groups of hashtags. Under the TikTok trends, you're going to see trending songs, craters, topics, hashtags, and under TikTok Tools, you're going to see a variety of tools that you may use on this platform. 9. Putting It All Together: Now let's talk how to combine hash tags and keywords for the maximum impact. First one, incorporate keywords into your post. Whenever you have your keywords noted, and let's say you're creating a video on tech Dog, try to incorporate those keywords into the video, whether it would be captions or something you're talking about. Or the text overlays. The second one is match keywords to hash tags or other way around. Consistency is the key, as I already mentioned, and it's really important to mention the same information throughout the video in your video description and also hash tags. The third one, nothing surprising trends and tapping into them. So of course, I showed you the tools that I find useful when looking for those hot topics and hot trends going on. Trends are always important because they show what is relevant in today's world, what are people looking for, you always need to keep on top of them. 10. What This Module Is All About: Welcome to the next and very exciting module about content creation and the best timing to post your TikToks. In this module, I'm going to show you the three main tools I use for content creation and also explain the importance of timing when posting. 11. A Creator's Guide to Free Media: Hi. Hi, guys, and welcome. So today, I'm going to show you how to edit videos. But before we do it, I want to show you another website which I love to use and from which we're going to get our content from. The name of the website is, as you can see, Paxals and Pax Sales platform is great because they offer royalty free images and video shared by other creators. Meaning that you can use these videos and photos on all of your social media platform. So let's get started. Let's just say I need to create a video something work copies related. You can simply change and filter what you're going to be looking for. So right now, I'm going to be looking for videos. And here I can just enter a few keywords, as you can see my recent searches. I spent a lot of time here. But yeah, let's just enter something like office and see what comes up. Right now, on the right side, you're also going to see filter, so you can change the orientation to vertical because we're going to be creating a video for TikTok, so that's better. And right now, you can just scroll down and pick the videos that fits your content D the best. So let me just pick a few. So let me just download this one. Let's say, I'm going to create a video of how to avoid burnout at work. This is going to be my intro video. I'm also going to be talking about setting boundaries, self care, and task delegation. So let's find something that would fit that. I'll use this one as Task delegation. For the self care, let's see what pops up. What can we use? Something like this, I guess, anything, to be honest right now, just for the sake of this example and setting boundaries. So I'm just going to download anything just like that, your videos are with you and you're ready to start editing your TikTok. 12. Editing in TikTok: The first one, in my opinion, the easiest tool to use is TikTok itself. So let's Ste video bear show you how to. Okay, guys. Right now, I'm going to be showing you how to edit your videos or contact from DikTok directly. All you need to do is open your app and click on the plus sign over here. Once you're there, you're going to be shown a few options to choose from. Whether it would be a ten minute video, 62nd video, 15 second video, photo or text option. Example, right now, we will be creating short video, so I will be choosing the 15 second option. You can now record your video just by clicking the red button just like that. Or you can also import your videos from over here. Right now, we will be importing the videos that we have already, just like that. Once we click Next, we're going to be redirected to the editing screen. You want to edit these videos, all you need to do is to click the second button from the top over here, and then you're going to be shown all the tools and options you have on Doctok. Let me just explain the options that you actually have. The first one is dit, dit is for the video editing. As you can see, the video that we're editing is the single one, the other ones aren't affected, then you have a sound option. For example, if you want to add any music to your videos, you could simply click on AdSund and choose from the song are here or simply click on the search button and search whatever is relevant to you. Otherwise, you can also click on sound and do some voiceover. If you want to do a voiceover, all you need to do is simply take the red button and start talking. If you want to delete it, just click on recording and click on Delete. The third option that we have is the text option. If you want to add some text overlay for your video, you can simply click on the text option, type something up, then position it on a video. You can of course click on the text you just entered and change a font. From the existing ones, you can also change the color of the text. You can also change the style of the text to whichever you prefer. You also have an option to position your text differently or add an effect. For example, I want it to fade out, let's say, just like that, it's going to fade out. As you can see with the tags, we got it for a certain duration, but we can simply adjust it by lagging it. You also have effects options and it just simply speaks for itself. It's all the trending effects that you can add to your videos. Then another useful tool is captions. Whenever you do a voiceover, you can also add captions over here. Once they're done generating, they're going to appear on your video. Let's just try it out. Let's say I'm adding some voiceovers saying something like, Hi, my name is Kaba. Just click done and generate the captions for that. Simply click on the captions, wait till it processes, and here we go. We have the captions. We can still adjust the captions to your preferred style. As you can see, TikTok has quite a few options, whichever you prefer as well, you can also drag the captions the same way as you do with the text. Another option is the overlay. Let's say we have this video showing, but we also want an image to appear in the middle of the video. All we need to do simply click on Olay, select the image we want to add to our video. For example, this one, you can also add video as well, and you can simply adjust it to wherever you want to position it on your video. You also have an option to crop that image. For example, you don't want the timing or something else showing, and you just click on Save and just like that, your image is going to be crop. Now, you also have an option for stickers, so anything you want to, you can also search for different Emojis. And then of course, you have a few filters available as well. If you want to change it and adjust the intensity of it. If you want to remove it, simply click on remove button and you're good to go. The last option is sound sing. For example, you want your video to sing to your preferred song. Let's say we edit this song. Now we want our videos to sing. We can simply click on Sound sing and then our videos are going to be synced automatically to the song. If you want to remove this, you simply click on Sound sing and you're back to where you were. Right now, I'm just going to edit these videos off screen and come back to you with the results. A just like that, we can create a very engaging video in only a couple of minutes. A few other things that I haven't mentioned is basically how to shorten the video. You have two options. You can either click on the video and drag this part. Another option is to basically move this little arrow to the point where you want your video to cut and click on split. And delete the second video that you just split. Of course, right now, the camsons the dex lays are messing up, but you would usually do it before. Another thing that I haven't shown are the transitions. If you want to add a transition, as you can see, you have quite a few options. You can also add a shorter transition or longer transition up to your preferences. You can leave it, of course, without a transition as well. I believe that's about it. All you would need to do is simply click on Next. Edit your captions, your description, set your location, set options, and click on post or draft if you don't want to post your video straightaway. 13. Editing in CapCut: One. The second one and really loved one by me is CapcuD. So again, let's some tell a video where I show you how to use it. You may have heard about Capcud from TikTok or other social media platforms as well. It is quite popular tool for content creation. It has a pro option, which is spade, and, of course, some features at RF let's just jump in where I'm going to show you how to use it. It is very simple. In order to create a new video, you just simply need to click on Create Project. Once you click on Create Project, you're going to be redirected to the screen. So the first thing you want to do is import your video, your contents. Once your contents are here, you can simply drag them from over there to here. In whichever order you want them to be. Before we start editing our videos, let's talk about the tools and functions you can find on this app. So over here, you can see, of course, the import option. You can import any pictures, videos you want to be using and editing. Then you have the audio option. This one helps you to add any sounds or to add any music to your videos. Keep in mind that you can also add music later on and just leave the video without any sound for now, because on TikTok, of course, you can use any music for free, and here some of them are for pro only. You can also click on TikTok Sound and link your TikTok account to your Capcot account and basically start seeing music from TikTok over here. You also have the text option. Whenever you want to overlay some text over your videos, then you have stickers option. Again, we have some paid stickers and some free stickers to use. If you don't see any pro icon around the sticker you want to use, it's of course for free, then you have the effect effects are all of these fading out, fading then you have the transitions. The transitions are used in between the video over here, here and here. You have some transitions that are free of charge. Let me just show you how it works. You just simply drag it like this. And just like that, you're going to have a quick transition. Now you have another option for the captions. So keep in mind that if you want to do a voiceover, you can directly from Capcod. The function is over here. You just simply need to click on it and click on Record. And just like that, it's simply going to start recording. You can also add the captions to your video. Keep in mind that on Capcod there are currently four P accounts only. On TikTok, it is currently still free of charge. So if you want to add captions for free, you can still just wait and add them whenever you transfer your video from CAPCOd to TikTo. Another option that you have is filters, speaks for itself. A filters that change the video. Can also make adjustment to your videos. So again, as you can see, have exposure, contrast, highlights, et cetera, and you can simply drag that adjustment to whichever videos you need to edit. And that's about it. Another important thing I haven't mentioned yet would be the aspect ratio. You can find it here. Aspect ratio is basically the formatting of your videos. So for example, if you're creating video for YouTube, you may want to use this one, as you can see it changed. Now we're creating a Por tiktok, so we're going to be using this one. So right now, as we know all the functions that there are, we can want to editing our videos. The first one, as you can see, it doesn't really fit the screen. So you can simply use the scale option and just increase the size of your video. Or you can also just simply use the Zoom in option and just adjust it to your needs. We can do the same for the other videos as well by simply clicking on them. Now that that's been done. We also want to make sure that we like the duration of our video. Right now, we have 50 something seconds. We, of course, don't need 50 seconds. We can just shorten these videos a little bit, so how to do? There are two options on how you can cut the video. So you can simply click on the video and drag it to how many seconds you prefer, or you can go ahead and let's say you want to finish your video over here. So simply click here and click on split. Right now, you're going to have two separate videos, so you can simply remove the second part that you don't need. And you can do the same with the other videos, too. Now that you have discovered, you like the duration of your video, you can go ahead and edit it a little bit further. For example, I want to add some text on my videos. I would just click on text, the full text, and I would see the default text appearing over here. You can, of course, drag it to last in how many videos you want. For me, it's just going to be on the first one and then I'm going to add other text for the other ones as well. You're going to see this box appearing. You can simply change it to text you need to add. For example, in my case, I'm creating a video about not burning out at work. So let's say how to not I can simply resize it over here and I can also try placing it wherever I wish. I will add another text box because I also want the burnout to be a little bit bigger. Again, going to adjust it based on my my imagination. Something like that is fine. You can also go ahead and change the font to whichever you prefer. You can also edit the font size over here. Or as I showed you, you can select different preset sizes. So for example, you want it to be a little bit clear, right. So perhaps use something like that. You can adjust it basically by simply clicking on the you also have the text effects. So as you can see, a lot of different styles that perhaps catches your eye. You also have some text animation. So for example, you want your text appear like this or you want your text to be typed. You can simply change it like this, right? If you want to undo something you've done, you simply click on the undo option, and you're good to go. We also have an option for text to speech. So for example, if I don't want to do a voiceover, I can simply use one of these voices AI generated and have the voiceover still. So, for example, then out. Just like that. So you can really play around and find what fits for you. But right now, I'm simply just going to pop some text on the rest of the videos and show you the outcome. So I've added some text just for the sake of this video. I'm not going to be using it. I should spend more time editing it, for sure. It doesn't look so great, but yeah, if I play it, this is how it looks, as you can see, the videos are changing. Some text is over it. And if you like how it looks, you can simply go ahead and share it. You can click on Export, and then you're going to have an option to export it to your laptop or you could also export it and share it to your **** tok account. 14. Editing in Canva: And the last one that you may find useful is Canva. Let's jump again, tell do I show you how to use Canva. Canva is a very popular tool used in social media quite frequently. So I'm sure that you perhaps heard of it or even used it before. If you haven't used Canva before, this tutorial is specifically for you. If you used Canva before, perhaps you're going to find this tutorial still useful and discover functions that I perhaps used and didn't know about. So before I start, I just wanted to mention that cnva.com is completely free site to use. Of course, they have a Cano P option. CanloP is basically a monthly subscription, and it allows you to use all of the features that they actually have. But the free option is also very good. So you can just play around with Canva and later decide if you need a pro option or not. Or you're able to use comva.com, I would recommend registering or if you have an account logging into it. And once you're in your account, you're going to see this view. So, of course, you have a home option, projects option, templates, et cetera. Over here, you have the recent designs. I have quite a lot. And of course, you have the options of what could be created on Camma over here. So if you want to explore them, you will just click on more and just go through all the relevant ones for you just to get some inspiration of what you could be creating on Camva as well. Besides this more option, you could also just search for a specific template over here. So for example, we're creating TikTok, and we're looking for the inspiration of a TikTok video template. So I'm just going to click here. As you can see, Canva has quite a few options available. We have more than 20,000 options to choose from. Of course, you have some paid options and some free options. So if you'd like to see only the free options, you would need to filter this. The filter options are available here. So if you click on it and scroll till the very end, you're going to have a price option. So just select free. If you don't have a pro option, of course, and click Apply. So right now you're seeing all the options that you actually have. They're all free of charge, and you can use any that suit your wild for what you're looking for. So, for example, today we're going to work on this one. Let's say. So I would just click on Customize This template, and I would be redirected to another vendo where I see all the options on how to edit this video for myself. So on the left side, you have the design options. So we chose this one, but if you'd like to change it or if you'd like to add more videos, you could just click on this one and select the design you want to move to. So, for example, this one, let's say, right, and then you have the elements option. Elements or anything, little details that you can add to your video or to your post. So you have everything from shapes, graphics, from stickers, photos, videos, audios, charts, pools, tables, frames, grids, mockups, you name it. And then you also have the text option. So for example, we have some text on the video already, but if you would like to add something else, you could also click on text. Click on the heading that you want to add. So for example, let's just add a subheading and let's just type something like start now. Of course, you can change the font. So let's say we would like to use another one, this one, perhaps, and you can also change the size. Well, let's say we would like to make it a little bit bigger, and we would like to change the tax color as well to black to match what we were going for. You would also do that. Here we go. So yeah, as I mentioned, here we have the tax option, then we have a brand option. This is ideal for business owners who have the pro account because here you can save the templates that you frequently use, perhaps. You can also save your logos, colors, fonts, brand voice, photos, graphics, icons, basically everything you need. That you will be using quite frequently. It's going to save you a lot of time. Then next, we have the uploads. So in the uploads, you're going to see all the audios, all the videos and images. You're also going to have an option to either upload anything from your device or if you need a recording, a voice over, you could also record yourself, or even record a video of yourself. For the sake of this video, let's say, I don't like this video, this background and I want to change it. I can and really easily. So I would just upload a video that I want to use. I'll just choose from whatever we have. Let's say I would like to change it to this one, another typing video. And yeah, just like that, you would just drag it and it would just simply change. You would, of course, have an option to edit this video if you click over here, so you could change the volume. You could also increase the video speed if you'd like. If you double click on the video, you can also just resize it if you want to zoom in, let's say, or twist it a little bit, move it around. You can just like that. If you want to change the color, let's say we don't like the frame, we want it to be white because it's not really visible right now. If you want to change the font color, you could also just click on the font and quickly change it right now. Start now. Let's change it to white as well, the website. You could, of course, delete it if you don't like to use this, but you could also change it to, let's say, your email address. So for example, Gabby gml.com. Anything. And you could also change the color of it, or if you'd like to remove it, just hit it and click delete, and that's gone. If you made a mistake, deleted something that didn't need the leading, you can also reverse. That's not a problem. You also have an option to draw. I never use it, but perhaps you will find it useful. The project's option, if you would like to jump from this project to the previous one without exiting this window, which is very, very handy when you have a few things going on. So if you want to make the video a little bit shorter, you also can just drag it to whatever duration you want it to be. You could also, let's say, do it by splitting. For example, if you want your video to end over here, you could just click on the exact location where you want your video to end and you could just split the video. As you can see, right now, we have two videos. If you don't want to use this anymore, you can simply remove. Just like that. If you want to duplicate it, you can also just click on the Dots and duplicate the page. And here we go again. We have two videos. Canva also has a very amazing option for mockup, so let me just create a new page. Make it white and let me show you how to do it. So if you click on Mockups, you're going to have the options from the popular videos, smartphones, prints, Appro computers. Again, you name it. So basically, it is great for businesses that have perhaps printables or you're selling a digital product, and you need to make a low video about it. It is a great tool to use as well. So, for example, we're choosing from the videos. Let's click on C O. So let's see what we can use right now. For example, I would like to promote my travel guide again, and I would like to use something like that, right? So I would just match it to the page. I, let's say, want to add the picture over here, promoting my Rome guide. I see that it doesn't align very well, but I just abklick on it and I just fix it real quick to however I want it to be. I just click on, apply the changes. And here we have it. Of course, this video is very, very simple. Nothing special. You would need to work a little bit harder on it, but I'm just showing you how this functionality works and how to take advantage of it. So now that we learn how to use all the tools that exist on Canva, and let's say we're done with our editing, and we would need to just download it. You would just need to click on Share. Download, choose the type of the file. It's usually recommended by Canva. If you want to change it, you can. But in this case, since we're doing a video, of course, it is recommended that we download it as MP four video. So that's what we're going to do. And you can also select which pages you want to download it. So do you want to download the entire video or do you want to download it partially? Let's say, just the last part, which you can do. And you just click on download and you're done as easy as that. 15. The Best Posting Time Strategy: Okay. Let's now talk about timing and the importance of it when posting on TikTok. Now you may ask why the timing is so important. It is important because it shows when your audience is the most active because if you post a video, let's say, in a time of the day that your audience is not even on, they may miss your video and of course, your video is not going to do as well. Now four tips on how to find the best timing to post on TikTok. The first one is TikTok Analytics. If you already have a TikTok account and if you have been posting for a while, you may switch to TikTok Analytics and see when your audience was the most active. Second one is digging into your competition and seeing at what time of the day are they posting their content. For this, I have a very great tool, so let's just jump to it. So we already talked about this website called Cun ****, and I already showed you how to find the best time to post based on your competitions profile and the timing they're posting their videos, but let me just remind you how to do it. All you need to do is to click on TikTok Tools and go to Analytics profile Viewer. In this field, enter the name of your competitor, their username. You can compare five, six users one after another just to get a better idea into. Once you enter their username, you're going to be shown all this data. And if you scroll down, you can see the timing of their latest video when they posted these. And just like that, you can just analyze and see if there's a pattern over here. Third one is the general times that I recommended. In the morning, people are generally waking up 7-9, so that is when they're active and they're perhaps calling on TikTok. Midday is when people are usually having lunch, anywhere 11-1. But of course, depending on your country, it could be later. Then in the evening usually 6-10, and this is the time when people come back from work and unwind, relax, and scroll on TikTok once again. And depending on your target market, weekends could also be a great time to post your TikToks because if people are working Monday to Friday, weekends could be there free days when they have more time to scroll. The last one would be taking into consideration the time zone. If you're targeting one specific target market, then you perhaps would look at their time zone. If you're targeting a few, perhaps you could combine something that would work for both time zones. 16. Wrapping It Up: F. Let's summarize everything I talked about. If you're new to TikTok, you may want to look at your competition, see what they're doing, and also take into consideration those generally recommended times to pose. And whenever you have a bigger following, you can then look at analytics and see the engagement and when your audience is the most active and pose according to it. 17. Consistency Is Key: All right, let's move on to another very exciting topic, viral videos on TikTok. Of course, there isn't one particular magic formula that will make your videos go viral. I wish there was, but there isn't in this module, we're going to be focusing on the key elements and other strategies that may increase your chances of going viral. First things first for those who don't know what is a viral video, viral video is a video that gets quite a few views, usually more than 1 million and also gets a lot of engagement. So comments like shares, mentions and anything else engagement related. 18. Content Hacks for Staying Calm & Inspired: So the first one is scheduling your content in advance and using a content calendar to do so. Content calendars are amazing because they help you see and structure what you're going to be posting in the upcoming weeks and they also make the entire process of posting less stressful. The second tip would be batch content creation. For example, setting a day, setting a time of the week where you're going to create a batch of content for the entire upcoming week could help you. Usually do it myself because I don't like to be stressing out about what should I post now? What is relevant now? I just usually do everything a week in advance so that I can live stress free and relax. The third one and the last one would be repurposing your content from one platform to another. For example, you created a TikTok video. You could use the same video on your Instagram platform as a story, as a real, as a post. It could help you with your consistency and you wouldn't need to reinvent the wheel. So right now, you may be asking how to keep your content engaging, new, fresh. Let's talk about it. The first step of mine would be using different types of content. It could be storytelling or challenges or using some trendy sounds or let's say showing some behind the scenes moments. I'm going to create a quick document below, and I'm going to kind of list the content ideas that you could look into. And another tip is just being yourself, being authentic, not a surprise. People love real raw content. Whether you're showing your personality, being funny, showing the difficult moments in your life, that really shows and that really perform as well. Let's quickly summarize everything up. We talked about the importance of consistency and the reasons why it is so important is because algorithm looks into it when pushing your content out to a larger audience, and you can also make people trust you a little bit more and build your own community. 19. What Are Viral Videos?: All right, let's move on to another very exciting topic, viral videos on TikTok. 20. 6 Key Factors for Going Viral: So now let's cover six main key elements of content. The first one you already heard of it is a hook. A hook is this little sentence that you use in the beginning of the video to hook people in watching your video further. The reason why the hook is so important is because it makes people watch your video further. So for more than 3 seconds, that cut sours the views, and that also pushes your video further to the larger audience, which means your video may get viral. Second tip is creating sharable, relatable content. This usually gets a lot of use as well because it resonates with people. Whatever resonates with people and whatever is really authentic, real raw usually gets a lot of engagement as well. The third one is using trending topics, trending sounds, trending hashtags because TikTok actually thrives on trends. I already mentioned the importance of trends on this platform, staying on top of them and posting content that is relevant to our audience is extremely important as well. Fourth one is editing and more specifically, creative editing. For example, you're using very interesting transitions or you're popping the text everywhere. There's some spin offs, something that would catch our eye and make us watch that video for a little bit longer. Fifth one already discussed a lot, but authenticity. I'm sure that if you go to your TikTok or even Instagram and you scroll to your following, you're going to see quite a few content creators. That create their content and show their personality in their videos. This is extremely important because attracts a certain target market to watch their videos. I feel like our following is our virtual friends and we want to connect with them. We want to be interested in them and if they show their personality, that's how we become hooked up on their videos. The last one, surprise, surprise is engagement. Engagement is again, very important because it triggers TikTok to think that your post is very relevant and it should be shown to more people across the world. How to get people to engage with your videos or post is usually use call of action. Tag a friend who you like to take somewhere. Comment if you agree, tell me what you think about that, or you could also rely on consistency. I whenever you're posting consistently, you're building a community as well and community can bring a lot of engagement to your videos and posts. 21. Tips to Increase Your Views: O. Let's talk about a few strategies that may increase your chances of going viral. The first one, once again, is consistency and posting frequency. The more frequently you post, the more chances you get of getting viral. I would aim posting three to five times a week and then seeing how it goes and perhaps increasing in the future. Another tip would be to experiment and play around a lot but experiment with different trends, experiment with different types of content that could also help you understand what your audience is interested in and would also increase your chance of getting more visibility. Captions could also be a very great tool to use for your videos on TikTok. The reason why is because we are busy people and we may scroll on Metro or I don't know, in any other location where we can't actually listen to the video. Having those captions on a video could still make us watch that video without increasing the volume. Other tip would be creating content which would be a storytelling. People may find this very relatable and sharable and it could also increase your chances of getting shown to a broader audience. Now, if you've been using TikTok for a while and you also know some content creators, you could use this network to your advantage as well and just create content together. This could bring their followers to your profile and other way around. You could just exchange some followers. The last very important tip and aiming for viral videos, check the timing, of course, it's extremely important to post whenever people are active and they have time to engage with your post. If you're aiming for your content to go viral, keep in mind that you need to be authentic self, you need to show personality. You need to think about your posting consistency. And at what time of the day are you actually posting? You also need to keep in mind that people love storytelling. Perhaps use that technique and also don't forget about the hooks and calls of action for more engagement. 22. Monetisation: Welcome to your Last module, guys. In this module, we're going to focus on how to monetise TikTok. Whether you're a business owner or you're a content creator, I'm going to walk you through the best ways to monetise TikTok and explain how everything works in more detail. I'm going to be walking you through the six most popular ways on how to make money using this platform, whether you are a content creator or a business owner. So if you need to make a little coffee or a tea, please do before we jump in further. The first one is TikTok Content Creator Fund. Content Creator Fund, you get paid for engagement and views. So I'm going to list the requirements somewhere over here for you. To take advantage of this fund, you need to apply for it, and I'm going to give you the exact explanations on how over here. The second one is sponsorships, partnerships with other brands. This option is only usually available when you have a larger following and how it works is basically you communicate with the brand and they either provide you free products to promote them on your platform, or they even pay you for promoting their products. Besides reaching out to the brands, you could also try out applying in one of these influencer program. Once you're a little bit bigger on Tiktop platform, you may notice brands reaching out to you directly asking if you would be interested in collaboration. But before that happens, you can also go ahead and reach out to smaller brands already if you have some following. Another way of how you could be making money using this platform could be by streaming Lives. To be eligible to make money in this way, you need to have at least 1,000 followers, but once you have them, you can go ahead and start doing them. And basically how it works is during the live, other viewers can send you gifts. Those gifts can then be exchanged into coins and coins can then be cashed out. Another way is by being an affiliate. What does affiliate mean? Affiliate is a person who promotes a product and later on once, let's say a viewer buys that product, affiliate gets a certain percentage commission. How to become an affiliate. Once again, once you have some following, you can reach out to the brands and basically try to accomplish this collaboration between two of you. Perhaps you want to promote one of the products that you've been using from that brand already. Another way, again, maybe one of the brands are going to reach out to you once you have a larger audience and going to ask if you're interested in this. Another very popular way that doesn't require a huge following would be being an Amazon associate. How it works is actually pretty simple. You just simply need to register as an Amazon associate and then basically create a list of products that you find useful perhaps are using. Then later on, you could promote the same products with your unique link on your TikTok profile, TikTok bio. Basically, once a person buys that product through your referral link, you get a commission. Other option would be by creating your TikTok shop. It works very similarly to Instagram Shop. You basically sell your products through TikTok and you can also, of course, promote them on the same platform. I'm going to give you the exact instructions somewhere over here on how you could do it. Last way, my favorite way which I'm using every day is by creating your digital products or selling your physical products as well. Now, let's talk about how it works. Firstly, you create a product listing on one of the platforms. I'll list some of them here that I've been using and I've been living. Once you have the listings link, you can then upload that link to your bio. The last step is simply promoting our product. For example, you're selling some services, you can create a video about it and redirect your viewers to click the link in your bio. Let's summarize this module real quick. We learned about six ways on how you could be making money using this platform. These included the Creator fund, the partnerships, being an affiliate, Live Streams, setting up TikTok shop and also selling your digital products through your link in your bio. I hope you found this very useful and let's move on to our conclusion of this course. 23.
