About This Class

The One Thing You Can Do to Generate Leads on LinkedIn Right Now

We just got off a call with Eric, who owns a video agency.

“Three months ago, we had $40,000 sitting in the bank. Business was good, but...” he said.

We knew the next sentence would not be good.

“No one is buying,” he said.

Make no mistake, Eric is a master at his craft of creating compelling videos for his clients.

But here’s the shocking he realized…

He realized it takes a whole new set of skills to find his dream clients who will pay MORE for his services...

...skills that he did not expect.

Here’s something else:

You need to build relationships and establish trust with your dream clients if they are going to trust you enough to pay you well and consistently for your services.

In today’s connected era, you cannot get away with a business equivalent of a “one night stand.”

LinkedIn is the best place to build relationships with your dream clients, establish yourself as an expert and earn their trust.

Here’s why...

Decision Makers Are Paying Attention On LinkedIn 24/7

Never in the history of humankind -- and sales for that matter -- have we had so much access to the RIGHT decision makers all in ONE PLACE at the SAME TIME.

You can now get the RIGHT clients and sales from all over the world using LinkedIn.

As we’re writing you today, there are now over 563 million professionals in over 200 countries with a LinkedIn account, and over 260 million monthly active members.

But that’s not all.

61 million of those users are senior level influencers and 40 million are in decision-making position.

But despite of the great opportunities to generate high-value leads and sales on LinkedIn…

...business owners, salespeople, consultants, service businesses are...

DOING IT ALL WRONG!

Let us explain

LinkedIn is not a resume board or an online yellow pages.

If you think you can just set up a profile or company page, and leads will flood your door like a tsunami...you’ll be disappointed!

OR... if you think you can connect with someone, instantly pitching them your service, and win their trust….you will be dead wrong.

Here’s why:

You see, the power of LinkedIn is in the network effect. If you connect with someone, you gain incredible access to their network.

The approach of connecting and pitching may have worked years ago when LinkedIn just started, but that stuff doesn’t work anymore.

Now here comes the good part...

Your success on LinkedIn - and we mean quality leads and sales - will 100% depend on how you tap into the network effect.

You have to understand that people buy from people they like and trust.

Today, the most powerful LinkedIn lead generation system is built on TRUST and VALUE.

My passion is to help you connect with your most valuable prospects and customers. For over half a decade, I've been obsessed with meaningful conversations that start with a brave cold email and generous connection.

But my obsession wasn't always that way. It began as a frustration. Several years ago, when I was helping fast-growing B2B companies with sales, I'd hunt for the magic “cold email” template.

I found some techniques that were okay. Others worked for a while - and then they didn’t. I was in for a shocker: No ONE cold email works 100 percent of the time. I was frustrated.

My frustration turned into curiosity. Curiosity turned into an obsession. Obsession turned into rigorous testing and reiterations. In the process, I have t... See full profile

1. Welcome to the Course: So what do you think is the number one challenge businesses face today? Is it Google Advertising is a tweet a market in Is it online marketing? Well, the number one challenge businesses face today is getting consistent, high value leads that would turn into meaningful conversations that would turn into sales and profits. And so, in this video, want to say thank you so much for a role. And we are super pop t to get you here and sure, everything we know with you, we're gonna show with you every single technique, every single strategy that we've been using on LinkedIn to get successful clients against successful partners and grow the business that we haven't helped a client. So we have as well. My name is Questi. Well, I'm Joel Berry. Abraham and I also want to say thank you for being here. Lengthen has been growing exponentially the past few years. I mean, there are over 563 million professionals on the platform right now. 260 million of them are active. Every single month. You have over 61 million of these guys or professionals. Decision maker? Yes. So you get access to some of the top companies top leaders around the world and guess what to know. Lengthened members are joining the platform every second of the day. So this thing is like a machine and Microsoft actually purchased right recently for over $26 billion. So you know what? It's on track to even grow even faster. So this is by far right now really good time for you to get involved. Really good time to start using the platform because 91% of these executive on lengthen go on there to read great content. 82% of BDB companies are finding leads on like then, so there's a lot of opportunity right now to take advantage of. So I actually remember when I started using Lincoln was a couple of years ago when I was working with a couple of different manufacturing company study communication companies in Housing Key, and I would you know the goal was to connect with them and help them connect to that dream partners that they have. So I started attending networking event and so on, and one of the things that I do was exactly when I go home. After meeting them. I would just go online, connect. You gonna thinking so much say, hey was really fascinating, excited to meet with you. And that's the way I started a relationship. You fast forward. 10 years later, I've been able to connect and build businesses with dozens of businesses, dozens of leaders that all together make over $15 million in revenue. And it's not even stopping there consistently. I'm working with businesses to help them dry revenue and businesses for for their companies . So a little bit about me, I'm originally from Haiti. I came here for 18 years ago and I have a really emotional attachment with, like them because what happened? Back in 2011 I got laid off from work. It was very, very hard. I was looking for worried, doing tons of interviews, going everywhere. No one was giving me an offer. So, you know, I found myself with my back against the wall. And the problem there was that, you know, I was really my apartment was being evicted. I was was in my car. So I took my life in my own hands at the moment and I decided, you know what I need to start something. So in my kitchen table I started marketing, consulting business, and I used like them to get my first to clients. And at the same time, I wasn't too comfortable in my business. Skill sets. So I am running to an M B A programs. I was using my clients to pay the bills to help pay for books, been paying for tuition, and I went to the N B. A program. But I use that story to share with people. Hey, you know, I got my clients on like then, and that's how we pay for this program right there. It was fascinating because a lot of people didn't understand how to do that. A lot of people use lengthen as a resume placeholder, right? I'm stopping residue if I ever need to hire for a job. People confined me on there, so I saw it as more than that because it took me out from getting evicted. It got me in school where I was able to learn and also helped pay for school pay for these books, which was exciting to me. So when I graduated, I noticed a lot of businesses and professionals didn't know what to do. So I created a just a small company where I can train people on how to use. Make that now fast forward. We all went now in five years says we did that. I've been blessed and been able to published some of my content on social media. Examiner. I've been mentioned on Entrepreneur magazine on Huffington Bulls, BBC Capital and joins the business magazine. So I've been able to be mentioned all these different media. But also I've grown my business so much over the past five years that been able to work with over 100 plus companies were for combined revenue of over half a $1,000,000,000. So it's super excited to have you here. I can't wait to share everything I've learned all my mistake, my trial and error with you so you can know what you do and that will. Yeah, absolutely. Like Uber said, you don't have to wing it. You don't have to spend 5 to 10 years of your life trying to figure out how LinkedIn works or the tactics and strategies that would help you get predictable revenue and predictable profits and the strategies that you know, personally used off also feature them in a couple of different avenues and hop spotting entrepreneur in the technology and innovation management review and a lot of different places that can I have a call right now, but I want you to imagine for a second okay, imagine the peace of mind you would get you knowing that you don't have Teoh. You don't have to worry about where you gonna get your next high value client form. Imagine that you don't have to be a slave being jerked around. But what big client who always, you know, annoys you. But you cannot do anything about it because you don't have enough pipeline. So all the techniques that we're going to show you right now you can use that every single one of them can copy them right away and make it better. And, you know, Bill, high body conversations, very solvent. Increase your revenue. So we're super pumped and we can't wait to see in the next few lessons 2. 3 Deadly Sins That Stop LinkedIn Success: in this part of the course. In this particular lesson, I want to show with you some of the top mistakes that people make that totally wipe out the credibly they have. And it's when you actually connecting with people for the first time. So one of the things that you need to understand is that Lincoln has a defaults message. So whenever the connecting with someone told the new could be a prospect could be a partner , you have the option. Teoh. Either you want add the couple off sentences or you can just send a default message on a different message says something like, Hey, I like to actually did. And as you can see, it really does not add any value. But I cannot tell you how many times people do not pay attention to this. This still send you this blondes bland message that really doesn't add any value. So let's say you go to a networking event and you connected someone and you go back to your office or you go back home and I want to connect with them. A. LinkedIn. Do you want to send this, you know, in personal message? Hey, I like as you Arlington. If that's not something that we teaching, we do not encourage. One of the tactics that you can use is Wall she of that conversation while she had that event, You gotta listen to what they're saying. And when you get back to your office, you could write something like, Hey, Michael, it was really also meeting other Growth Conference. Your just story about how you moved your carpeting from one employee, Teoh seven employees was really insightful, and I really enjoyed that just seventh employee wars, someone from X background. So it shows that you were really engaged with that conversation and also again shows the same level of enthusiasm that you would typically show a few engaging in someone that you know. So that's one way you can do that. But the second way can do that. If it's someone you don't know, it also this one tactic that personal used to connect with one of the authors, one of my favorite authors, Jab. So I read Jeb's book. I mentioned specifically that I am reading his book and I said that thank you. It was really simple. It was a really short message but job came back and say Thanks for connected. And that's one week and connected people on a very high level note. So this leads me logically, Teoh. The second mistake a lot of people make, which is connecting and patron. Right. So we all get those kind of Lyndon requests. We think all this person is interested in you re check propofol and we, you know, accept the invitation and lost. We accept. There is Ah, there's ah, gosh out off. Hey, I'm a software developer. I want to help you build ABS connection and picture is really horrible because you have zero idea with a person needs You have no idea that kind off experiences they have you. I mean, you already know something about their profile, but I think that instantly connecting put you in that category of people who are always famine and really don't lead with value. And this course we're going to show you the exact opposite. How you can lead with volley bill trust and establish authority in that process. The last mistake you want to avoid by every means possible. Iss spraying and praying. So I had a conversation with one business owner and one of the things that he said issue, No question. I have, ah, have a company like, well, on here more, and he's like, Well, we build a boxful ending that would help you connect with thousands of people, their dream clients at the same time. And, you know, out of curiosity, I just listen to him. But I never again email this person because that is the total opposite off the proposition that we have a Lincoln you don't wanna spray and pray, don't want toe, send blast messages to people and just hope that one of them would catch. A lot of people use that method because they actually do not know how it's in league with value. Systematically build a process that would engage the prospect that they want to work with. So that's one thing that you do not do. If anyone is pitching the idea, please save your money. So one of the things that we're going to teach you in this course is that system that you can use Teoh consistently and systematically build a funnel of people that want to work with you so we'll see in the next lesson 3. How to Write LinkedIn Descriptions That Make You Stand Out: This is one of our section. We're going to talk about how to really write out your linked in profile. And here's the best way to start with this. I want you to imagine right, you've done amazing work for clients or partner. And they were speaking to one of their friends and they said, You know, I work with this guy or this girl was awesome. I had a really good time. I think he can help you as well. So here's what I want you to do. You could you know, his company name. And his name is John and his company's X Y z. So that person, right, if they didn't get your car, do you remember your name and your company? The first thing they're gonna do is going link that they're gonna google you, right? So when you google your name, the first thing that popped up is your linked in profile. Now, that's that first impression. So if your profile is not set up the right way, you don't have the right structure. You don't have an image. You don't really have anything on there that's gonna impact you. And that person could easily judge you based by just looking at your profile. So I want you to really think about this because Lincoln is a well known and trusted site and its X crying extremely facts right over 560 plus 1,000,000 professional on the platform . And think about how that impacts you because it drinks Raylan Google. So it define your profile and you start looking at it. You want to make sure that you have everything on there. So with that said, the lesson for today is you gotta learn exactly how to write that right profile and how to turn it into a cash machine. So it starts with the right structure in place. All right, we're gonna have a life demo to show you exactly what to do, but just to kind of listed out. So you could see first, I want you to think about the background image. Then I want you think about your professional head shot. Then you gotta look at your headlines, and then you jump into your summary section, and then you gotta have media content in a summary. And after that, you have the experience section, the endorsement and skill sets section the education system section organization that you affiliated with the recommendation group affiliation companies and influences that you follow. So these are all there for part of the lengthen profile? In addition to that, you have languages. Certification depends on where you wore. So you really want to make sure that your profile is complete. So with that said, that's all session. Look up for the life demo videos. Well, guys, this is your bare Abraham. And this is our demo session where we've gotta go through my LinkedIn profile to see what do you need Inter most structure? Because before you have been able to turn your profile into a cash machine, you need to have the right structure in place. So what do I mean by that? Having all the right information. So I start with your picture of here, your background header, your name fully? No phone number here. No phone number on email next to your name. It's against Think that an agreement term in agreement. Your headline. Make sure that you have something that could be beneficial and people can read it there could learn a lot on how you can help them. Your summary section, which we go into details in term of how to structure it. What's easy to read. As you can see, it's very simple. Two or three sentences on top three census is in the middle. Bullet points to make it easy to Skander case study to make it easy for anyone who wants to kind of learn more and see how your profile can benefit them. Videos, presentations in the bottom. It was beneficial to them. And as you scroll down, you have your article and activities. You have the experience section, as you can see in the experience session. We have videos that are available so people can see it able to learn. Um, and you could scroll down. We have the education of section the volunteer section, the skill of Endorsement section, the recommendation section, you know, the different accomplishments organization, sort of vacation publication, the groups and interests that I'm participated. And when you put care on, see, all is gonna give you not only the influencers companies that I follow groups I'm involved with and schools that I follows Well, so this is how you should have your profile set up. And if you miss anything you know, languages profile. You are Oh, you can always add them on. And as you can see on top, Lincoln give you the ability to add additional profile section. If you want to add more background if you want to add more Ah, in shows more skill sets more accomplishment. Patent courses, projects, languages, organization Any additional information that you want to add. So this is I was supposed to be set up. This is the structure of your lengthen profile. Um, take a look at your profile right now. See if you have the same structure where you have everything stolen n because there's very important so people not condone need learn about you, but figure out how you you can work with them and they can work with you. 4. Craft An Incredibly Compelling Summary That Dispels Fears: one of the most important part of your lengthen profile is just summary because that's 80% of that first impression that you get. Only then. Now some people may thank you profile. It's not that important, so they don't have one written. Others may think that it's important, but it's all about that. And honestly, it's really about the person that you're targeting and want to read your profile. So in this section, what I want to do one is dispel that myth. So let's start by focusing on you have to write out your lengthen profile. And the most important part of this is you want to make sure you write a LinkedIn profile in first person, not in third. So back a few years ago, Yeah, it was okay to do it in third, but now you're telling a story, right? People captured by the story. So you want to really start by talking it in first person because when their lead ID did, they could feel like they're part of that story. So that s one thing I want you won't do. The second thing is keep it professional. Yeah, you could bring a little bit of personal between being a family man or you being a, you know, a hard working person that love fitness, you know, as a passion, was a hobby. But you don't want to go drag down into much details about you have five kids and you don't like your husband too much. Now don't do any of that. And I seen so many Brokaw's that I've seen that. So you want to keep it very professional. So to really help you do that, I'm gonna break it down into three main sections. All right, so the first section is share bit about you share a bit about your past experiences. That's what create that credibility part. So think about you know, you've been doing what you're doing for 20 years. Share that. That's important. Hey, I've been in this than the marketing industry for the past 20 years, and here's what I've learned. All right, then share a bit about things that will be important to your audience, you know? Were you looking to speak with what's important to them? How can you help them? What do you do that can benefit them? How does it benefit them? You have about 1300 characters you could put in that summary section, so you really want to take full advantage of it. And the third Bees wish by four. To me is the most important piece is share a case study. When you share a case study on your summary, it hit the now right on the coffin because what that shows is this person know me, this person understand what I'm going through. This person can actually help me, so I'll give you an example. One of our clients in the single care space. One of the main challenges was really to show that, you know, she knows what she's doing and she been through it. So what we did with her is when she was doing our course and she had to redo her. Linked in profile. We start by sharing a bit more about her experience in the technology industry, and then we talk about why she decided to get on board in the senior care space. She had an emotional story, so what she did is in her summary section, she really go into detail and processes what she do, why she does it. So when people in her networking outside of a network read her story on lengthen, the felt captivated connected to her 5. The Ultimate Guide To Profile Photos That Establish You As An Authority: the Lincoln Photos are your first real chance to show your personality, right? And, you know, one of things that footers do as they help show that you're likable, you're trustworthy, and people like to do business with people that they like and they trust. So in this lesson, I want I want us to take a step back and talk about why it's important to use linking photos and actually, how you can choose the best for that would establish you as someone who is likable and people would want to work with you. So to start off first things first. If you know you're someone who is very secretive and you think, Well, I don't want to put my foot on LinkedIn. Well, I've got really bad news for you. Lincoln might not be for you, because without a photo, you might not be. Get in the most optimum benefits off the platform because it's it's a place where you build you, build trust and part of building trust is you need to show up and part of showing up, ese got to show your face. You got to show who you are, your personality through your photos So this is so, so important out. Let's assume that you've crossed that river across that bridge and you say, Well, I want to choose a photo. But questi, where do I start? Wish for the should I use. So this is exactly the answer that he re since study dead. So they analyzed over 800 London photos and they had over 600,000 ratings and they found some really exciting things that I want us to go over the top takeaways from this particular study. So the study analyzed three main things when it comes to the pro fall footer that used talked about competence like ability and influence. So, you know, these are the categories that they use incompetence you're looking for, You know, the looks of smart capability when it comes likability. They're looking for how friendly are and how kind you are. And these were reviewed by people who actually looked at the photos and influence. Of course, we're talking about industry leadership. So one of the fascinating things they found with, you know, when it comes to the heights of the photo as sunglasses or any kind of obstruction of the I definitely reduces, you know, the competence and likability and influential factor. So as much as possible you want to avoid, you know, blocking your eyes or, you know, be using sunglasses. But on the other hand, the best way that you can improve your competence and likability s as they found in this study, was you. You have to at least square inch just little bit. And I found that really fascinating. When I was looking at the report, the next Finney phone was regarding the face. So the respondents were asked Teoh review, You know how people our competent or likeable based on the face in the photo and right out of the gate. You know, if you have no small a V like super serious, you are not likable. You're not, you know, considered as competent. And for me, the interest in finding in the study was how people small with the teeth and it shows that you are, you know, you warm year likable and you're competent as well when you take that to the extreme than you might reduce that competence and influential factor. But all you know, it's I think it's pretty decent of you. Show a bit of teeth, and, uh, I think that's up. That's a really, really solid find it. And the final two parts of the study looked at, you know, the body poster, like we talked about the kind off attire or kind of outfit that you gotta work, and it's obviously very important that a linden, you have a formal dress. Now we talk about it in this lesson. The dress that you put on should be something that you would definitely put on every day to work. And you don't want to over dress for a foot or so. That's one way you can position yourself as being competent, likable and influential as well. The final part, which was really cure Arsenal, was a set, and it really had no impact on how people perceived it could be a obviously. You don't have to be in a weird background, but the background itself had no impact. They looked at the home, the urban, the solid background, and it really didn't make any difference. But if you take care of all the different factors they talk about earlier, I think that setting will not be significant as she would you would think. All right, I hope this helps. I know we went through a lot of the studies and what is happening and how the analyze So for you, I know what are the top thing she can do to take advantage of this study? The 1st 1 is obviously choose a photo, a picture that currently represents who you are. You don't want to use a picture fall the 19 nineties or a time where you had different shade off her or something. That's totally not you right now, because people want to see you as you are right now and connect with you. The other thing you want to think about is in the picture. Your face must show up around 60% of the time. It must cover 60% of the flame. So you don't want to be like hiding somewhere in the corner or less than three people in the photo. And you're like, somewhere on the back, nobody sees you. So you want to take a picture where your face is really visible and you are very dominant as faras. The photo is concerned. The third thing you can do is she's the right expression. He got a small If you got to show a little bit of your teeth, be personal and this is so, so important. People should look at your foot and say While I wish all same business with this person, All right, The next thing you want to think about is that you got were exactly the same thing. You would work to work or any professional gathering. So a lot of people who you don't go to photo studios and try to dress up or you know by fans to see just take photos for landing. And it's not it's not really the kind of thing you want to do. I mean, I d love this particular shirt that I were you worried almost all the time. And when you go to my LinkedIn photo, I do have a similar thing. I do just have a photo that has the same outfit. So the key is you don't want to over dress and just, you know, you dress up for a photo. But when someone sees er work every day, it should be the same outfit that you would potentially work. So this is something for you to think about the final thing you want to consider is that in your photo? The bag on should not be distracting. Okay, There shouldn't be a lot of things that would kind of move the viewers attention from you as a person from your personality and kind of focus on, say, a cat or a dog, which is somewhere behind behind the scenes. So that's something that you want to think about when you're she's in the profile photo. So one of the things I would encourage you to do is you know, she's a couple of foot is that you want to use Go to snapper, that seal slash photo dash analyzer and see how your your photos performing. See if your picture is okay. Teoh Visa Lindenau. If it's over 70% that is, go out. Say, you know, you don't have to sweat about becoming getting 100% on the score, so over 50% of 60% you're good to go use that photo and then it will help you stand out. So I did my personal test and I had a score off over 80. I could definitely improve that, but I've told me OK, we did right now. I think that as far as all the different variables that we talked about in choosing the photos concern, I score pretty hot and I hope that you could do the same for yourself, and she's the best photo I'll see in the next lesson. 6. The Perfect LinkedIn Status Update Blueprint: so one. The best way to grab people attentional lengthen is to leverage status updates. Now there is the right way to do it, and there's a wrong way to do it. And sometimes what happens if you not show what to do when you have studies up that you may not be able to take full advantage of it. So in this session, we're gonna teach you exactly six former status update that's available the step by step blueprint or how to create the perfect status update. How to use it to engage your potential clients, partners people in your network, people outside of your network and really help you grab people's attention. Number one. You have the plain text out of sub D. This is where you write a few sentences and just click publisher like them. So it's very simple, very easy to dio. Anyone can do that, and a lot of people that's older do so their right to three sentences and bump. The second step is the curated status update. So this is when you share a length over third party articles that you read. So a good example is you read a great article on Entrepreneur magazine and you say, Hey, love this article about the six type of form of productivity that I found on entrepreneur, and you add the link to it. So that's a curated status, something because it's not your content, you taking someone else content and sharing it with your audience. So the third way is the long emotional status update. So this is where you really share your pain of challenges. Lesson you've learned over time with your audience. It's a good way when you first startling thing camping to grab people attention. For example, one of our clients, we actually share her story as a long from status update. When she first launched her business, what kind of situation that she was in what were some of the challenges? What did she learn and really made that out? And by doing that, we had over 5000 people that jewelry into her profile because of that, So think about how you can leverage the long emotional status update as a way to get your foot off the door and upper running. Now, the other piece of it, the Four Friesen is the inspirational quotes status update This is a very simple way to do it. The easy way to stay top of mind. You could go to a website like brainy quotes that calm and be able to find aspirational. Quote from your favorite influencer, your favorite author, your favorite person that you like to listen to or read about and share their status. Update. Quote as a post. And this is another good way to grab people attention and people that has common author that they're like or common. Quote that the light with you don't gravitate around you, so it's a good way to bring in attention to you. The fifth way is the personal activity status update. Let's say you speak at different events, you part of different networking group, or you have clients that you're working with and you want to share that information through your status. Update like one my personal and one that I love doing is when I do a speaking engagement or training or for a group of clients, I like to either share the video or the picture as a status update, and not only I get a lot of likes a lot of comments. I get a lot of great engagement, but also I captured people attention. So now when people see me like, hey, I noticed that you spoke at blah, blah, blah, would you be open to speak to our group as well? So it's a good way that leave me to get more speaking engagement with my audience because I'm sharing what I'm doing in the personal activity status update. The six way and form of status update is the video status of the This is by forward the most engaging way that you can not want to bring the right traffic, the right people, the right engagement on your lengthen account. But it's a good way to stay top of mind and be consistent what you're doing on a platform so that status update really put you out there and put you in the right place. And now the beauty about this is you can do a combination, right? We can have a video. Plus, you can have a long form status of this. You could combine these two together as well, which is what I call it 1/7 status update or the born this one. This is more the combination of the different form together to create something new. So you may wonder. OK, these are a lot of different from a status update that I never thought about before. How do I use them? Well, we gonna go into more details in term of artery techniques that you can use to really fully take advantage of this and really create not only the best status update, but get the right engagement on that. 7. The Secret Charm That INSTANTLY Makes You Irresistible and Likable: All right, so in this lesson, I want to help you humanize your LinkedIn profile. Your LinkedIn page. So a lot of ways they can do that. But in this particular lesson, I want us to focus on emojis. Now emerges are expressions that you use in your message in or description to convey a certain, you know, level off emotion. So I know there's a whole lot of contention around that. Is it goofy? Is it to high school ish? Is it too? Is this something for millennials that Do you want to take advantage of it now the lot of different research in different studies that have been done on Emojis, if that have showed that it has certain advantages. So before we start, let's take. I want us to take a step back and kind of tackle some off the finest that we found. What comes to using bodies? The first advantage, the first benefit of the villages is it helps make your your message memorable or you'll profile memorable. So people who received messages with emerges hot a higher likelihood off, you know, remembering the message. Or remember what it begs comfort to those who did not receive the message with Emojis and the same, the same study was replicated and the finals were absolutely the same. So it's very clear that if he used Emojis, Espina phase or handshake or hand way, whatever it is, people are more likely. Teoh set off Your message is more likely to be sticky in the mites. Off your prospects, all the bites off whoever is radiant. That message and another study also showed that it can actually help you become or finally , now, is this fascinating? I want to read exactly the kind of the conclusion of the finding from one of the researchers on that study, and the name of the researcher is Dr Owens Churches, and he's from a school of psychology at Flinders University in Adelaide. And this where the researchers said most of us pay more attention to face is that we do anything else. We know that experimentally people respond differently. It's faces than they do to other objects categories, and this is so, so good because you can use emojis your profiles and make you appear little more friendly that you were traditionally have been and there was another study actually which showed something really shocking. You know, when you send messages on LinkedIn, it's difficult to get those not verbal clears because you don't see the person. But using emojis can help you reduce the impact of the messages, whether it's negative or positive. And there's actually a study that I want to show you in a brief second in 2013 the re central stunt on 153 professionals, and they were sent two messages. All right, so the first category of first batch you can call them to stay. They received the message. With my allergies, you can call the second bash to speed. And this is the first message I can't make its the meeting your schedule because it conflicts with my staff meeting. Email me and let me know what I missed. Full stop. All right, so that's the plane message. The second message that they sent to the second category waas. I can't make it to the meeting is scheduled because it conflicts with my staff meeting email me 11 0 what amazes Full stop. And then they put a smiley face close after that. Full stop. All right, so that is the only difference between the two and the research found that the email that have the emoji was less negative. Impact of that message was last negative comfort. See the one that did not have the emoji. So where do we go from here Now? The key is using emojis eyes Really good. It can help you become more friendly, make your messages more memorable. And actually, if you're sending messages to people, reduce that you know negative impacts of being a stranger and connected with them. But the rule of thumb. And I want to show you how I've used that in my in my personal LinkedIn profile in a second . So let's take a look. Okay, so on might Lincoln Pro fall off, used emerges and just a couple of ways. So the 1st 1 is in the the headline. So exactly what people see when they search my name on LinkedIn. I used the kind of the light bulb on, and the and the rocket had a symbol to show growth. So these are not necessarily the face emerges that you know, We traditionally typically no. We use a use emojis to represent a sort of a broader category of symbols that make you your your website clean. I also use you know, some of these symbols to denote key things in my description. So 1st 1 is in a headline, and then we have the description where I have these check marks that, um, you know, makes the profile very succinct. And so that's the second place. I use symbols and emerges. And then I go further into, you know, the experience part where I have different symbols as well. I'm gonna link. We're gonna put every a complete profile of emojis and, um in in this lesson so you can access them, but I think that there's something they can use. I also use them in some off the titles as well. But obviously it's not too much. And you just have to be mindful of how you use it. There will thought by uses, whenever you asking yourself is this too much of my using too much emerges that you're probably using too much too many margins. So the key as use it in moderation, it's like any of it. So any other tactic you want to be careful, you want to be mindful of the way you use it and use it strategically, ver if you in a way that would actually drive a lot of value for not only a business, but also the people who connects with you. 8. Get 10X Visibility And Attract Your Dream Clients: Hey, guys, Welcome back. This is your baby, Abraham, the Lincoln Guy. Today session we're gonna talk about optimize your profile to get 10 next to visibility. So once you have the profile structure set up, you have your summary all set up. The next step is to really optimize your profile. So what do I mean by that? Is by having the right key word in the right places. So one part to optimizing your profile is to pay attention to a couple different places. One your headline. This is extremely important because the right keywords here help people understand exactly who you wore hot. It can get in contact with you, um, and how you can help them. So really focusing on how do you help your client base is important here into my optimization. Second, having a headshot having a head shot on your lengthen profile is extremely important for two reason. One, it allowed people to create trust because they can kind of put a face to the name to it. Also, increase your profile visibility by 14 times. So it's important that you have the head shot picture. There is very, very important. Um, let's keep strolling down now, as you can see, is the different keywords on your profiles. We have lengthened training, making the generation linked in profile. So mine is very profile oriented, but also the different industries that we serve as you can see here or part of this. So using those different keywords in different part of the summary become important because it makes it easy for lengthen algorithmic system to able to identify and search that profile. So it's not keyword stuffing, but really writing or compelling summary by having keywords in all the right places within the summary. Now, if I go further down your experience section, as you can see here, my experience have not only add my title. I had different keywords on here. This is an important way to kind of get people to to have an idea of what you do and how you can help them. But it's also easier way to make it to make you be able to be found on linked in all right , and then the other piece that a lot of people has been neglecting is your skills and endorsement section. These are specific keywords that people can look for and makes it easier for them to find you, you know, lengthen marketing, social media, entrepreneurship. So the cells strategy, digital marketing, direct marketing. So these are important keywords that allow my profile to be even more optimized because not only does serve a skill set, but they're also keywords that set up on my profile strategically, all right, so making those small little changes and having the right keywords having the right title in the experience section. Also having the right information in the profile section is extremely beneficial in the overall optimization off your profile. So with that set, go ahead ahead and make those changes right away. Make sure your profile not only read smoothly with the right keywords that your audience will be looking for, but that it's appealing to the eye because it's easy and simple to read and well structured . 9. Scoop Intelligence From LinkedIn So Your Competition Becomes Irrelevant: you guys you obey. He'll welcome back to our session today. We're gonna talk about how to choose your content in your lengthen news feed. So a lot of people may have ah, lot of variety of content as show up in the news V They're not sure what they are. They're like, Oh, I hate what's popping up on my news. Feed it so Facebook. Like I don't want to know what people ate next today. Well, one thing you gotta be aware of is a lot of these contents. Sometimes that pop up on your lengthen news feed or from some of you people that you're connected to. So the very first thing you want to do is look at who are my connected to do. I want to see what they're publishing on their news feed. All right, So if you don't, what you want to do is I'm gonna take my good friend here as an example. If I said I don't like what genius posting. And he's my first degree connection as you see the first next to his name. Ah, go to those three dots and then I can hide disposed so that I don't see post like this again or I can improve my feed. If I click on improved my feed, it's gonna allow me to follow noon people. No topic. So I can't follow fresh perspective, right? Tell us what you want to see in your content If I want to see content from Is Sheila here? I can just follow her. If I want to see content from World Health Organization, I can just follow that organization. So lengthen is giving you tons of suggestion on people you can follow so you can see those type of content. Another thing I want you to pay attention to is the people that you're following, right? So if you have 8500 followers thes e people that are following me and I have by 9000 followers, you can technically go through here and identify basically what kind of content you want from that point. So that's one way to do it. The other way to do it is by leveraging hashtag. So I'm gonna go back to the home page by clicking on the logo as you can see on the right, are left side here says your community. I can choose what kind of higher stacked content that I want to follow. So if I click on business right, I'll be able to see anything that's dealing with business that will show up. Or if I want to kind of change that even further, I can click on the community arrow and I have sounds a different hashtag here that I can use. Let's say we want to focus on the 1st 1 b two b selling as an example. So now I can create. I can see exactly content or Owmby to be selling as you can see the hashtag cells and be to be selling. So now I could show what kind of videos and content I want to see my feed. I can engage that content so I can see more of these contents in the future or if I want to take it further. I can also look at content from different groups that I'm part of, such as friends of 80. All right, so you have the option to control your news feed, and it's extremely important that you do because ah lot of us comes to lengthen, to educate ourselves to build a network and to learn. So you want to make sure you have the right content on your news feed. So with that said, I hope you enjoy our session today around how to improve your content on the news feed, and I'll see you in our next session. 10. Skyrocket Engagement and Views on Your Profile With Videos: All right, So in this video, I want to show you how you can upload your video. She a profile page now, A couple of ways that you want to do that the first way you want you can do that is when you go to your profile. So the way you do that is you go here, you click on my profile and it's gonna take you to this page. And when you go there, what you want to do is you can also we can actually check through the sections on your profile and say, Well, you want to add a new experience. Let's he had a new job or you didn't new project. So you got your degree and you want to add that these are, you know, the spot. So you want to check and add that, and so I want to go here, click on add, and I'll put in the details off. This is if it's a new position, right, and you have a new video for that. So I'll click on all that, and when you scroll to the bottom of that, you would see applaud. So that's where you can add you know, external documents or ah, presentations or whatever that has a video. Four months. You can actually use that. You can sort of two options. You can use a link. It could be a YouTube link. Or it could be They could be a native video that you would applaud. So those are Those are the options that you have, So that's the first way that you can do that. The second way is you can you can go directly to the section that you wanna have, especially if you already have it, you know, in your profile. So let's say you want to add a couple of things. Teoh Video to the description. What you want to do is you just want to play on this, and when he scrolled down, you would get the same option. You would get the options, upload a video, so that's where you wanna on link or, you know, upload that the fall itself. So that's the option is unjust. The description can also add it. See, you know different, just different sections of the or report of your profile. You can added, see the experience section, same technique they can edit. We scroll down and and then he hit on Applaud door. You can actually add, You know, the lake as well. So I hope this helps see in the next couple of lessons. 11. 3 Techniques For Writing Status Updates That Unlock Sales: Here are three techniques. First you want to tell your story right when you're telling your story, you ask yourself the following questions. You know, the information that I'm gonna give to my audience. How does it benefit them? What can don't learn from what I'm saying to them. Then you wouldn't write it out on Microsoft Word document. Doc documents the best way that you could share that with them telling the story. You know, the beginning, the middle and the end. You don't want to rent around and start talking about different things. You want to stay focused on that one story. So that's technique. One technique to you want captured off back with four questions and grab people's attention . All right, so you want to talk about like, what did you know? Section right then you want to elaborate on the story? Did you know that Lengthen has over 5 to 60 million professionals? And guess what? Some of the top leaders in large organizational Mukden and here is how I was able to get in contact with the guy that's running $100 billion company. Do you understand what I'm saying here? It's really taken advantage of that story by starting stating a fact and then tell the story behind it. Technic three This is the video and text combination, all right, so the text could be the beginning of the story where people can start understanding what's going on. You captured our attention, and then you said, Hey, if you want to see the whole thing, watch the video below and then you have the video coming it right after that. So that way, when they're looking at the stacks, they're like, OK, so it's really, really guiding them to the process and make the story more engaging At the same time, the biggest secret to generate the most traction on your status update is commenting right on other people status update. So once you publish yours and you have people like it and comment, you want to comment on other people's comments, then you want to go to people's profile, that'll posting that are influencers and you want to comment on their posts as well. So that way now, only you get in traffic towards your content, but you get in traffic from their content as well, because now people that's watching their feet and seeing your comments will come to your page. So you're creating more like a network off comments and engagement as happening. And by doing that, you really position yourself that your status updates will be able to wait. Now, be aware you would be very bad at this in the beginning. Then you're gonna get horrible before you get good before you get great before you become excellent and then become phenomenal. So my word to you is just get started and make it happen. 12. 2 Lesser-Known (But Powerful) Ways To Build Your Contact List Faster: all right. Still in this part of the course, I want to show you how you can import your contact into London. Xavi already are part of Langdon. The couple ways that we have a list of contacts can actually upload that. Or you can easily sank your Jamil contact or, you know, your middle contact so lamed in as well. So what you want to do is you want to go Teoh my network. That's where you want to start from and on the left hand side. You want to go thio more options. All right, so I'm gonna play con that and that's what you would. You would see the options for you, Teoh. You know, kind of agile network in different former Jake and use your Gmail account. Or you can use whichever, whichever email that you use it. Ah, that's the one option. So you just want to play con that? Remember that automatically it would pick up the email that you sign up with for filling. And so it's your primary email or your secondary mills they can use with of that. The second option is you can actually upload a foul so you can uh, you can pick it can pick a fall that, you know, has these four miners in CS freefall, and then you will upload that document, so there's a really fast way they can use it. For example, if you go to a conference or a networking events and you have a list of contacts that you kind of connected with, this is one of the fastest way to do that. I can usually mac the emails and the names and you can at, So that's how you do it. Hope this helps. 13. The Simple 13-Step Process For Growing Your Influence In LinkedIn Groups: one of the most underutilized features on lengthen and I've mentioned that several times throughout our course is there are thousands of lengthen groups out there, hundreds of thousands of lengthen groups. Actually, if you search on lengthen for groups you know on a particular topic or you have to do is type the key word. You know a lot of these groups or full Hispanic, because people just join it and to just start blasting out there, um, male champ or constant contact post anything. That's a way for them to stay aware will create a renters but just blasting stuff up and nobody's really reading anything right. And that's a big problem. Now guess what? There's a very small percentage or groups or lengthen that are extremely interactive, extremely helpful. And some of them will even secrets. I know because I'm part of that. That's it. I want you to think about how can you leverage lengthen groups the same way some of these people are doing it right? So I want you to really think about how can you add volume to lifting groups? So in this session, what I'm going to do is share with you different ways on how you can add value. Number one. You want to create a Lincoln plan for the group. So what do I mean by that? Right? You just go on, lengthen groups and just start posting and liking. That's not a plan. There's no strategic approach to it. You might get lucky. Yeah, or nothing might happen. And you're like, OK, this thing doesn't work, but if you plan it properly, there's a lot of opportunity you can create. So when you creating a plan, you want to figure out what you want. The outcome is from the group, right? Do you want business? No relationship Influence leads referrals. You want to hire new people, etcetera, whatever that is. You really want to think about that. What's what's my end outcome? So you couldn't measure so you could create a metrics. That's why it's so important. Then you don't want every group. It's a lot of group out there. You won't identify 5 to 7 groups where you can find a following a potential clients, potentially furrow partners and industry peers. Once you have that set up and you start looking to link, then you find these different groups. Some groups you may have to test, right? It looks good, has the right keywords. You may have to join the group and observe for a few days, right. The goal here is so absurd to see what's the level of activities? How many people are posting how many people commenting before you do anything, we'll see anything you want to observe because you don't want to waste your time. Stop posting a bunch of stuff and you knew only one posting. Nobody's paying attention to this. So if you see people posting and engaging and commenting, it's great that you want to dive right it. So you want to start engaging people? I started liking their post. Start having this conversation, then you want to start taking those conversation into the private messages. So, like direct message or D M? Then the next step is you want to do this for about 3 to 4 weeks. OK, so that's the way for you to be well known because they're already great presence in a group and you taking part in these conversation and asking the right questions and sharing the right content. People gonna gravitated towards you all right, then the next step is you want to start creating your own post, so you want to create pose that's gonna add value based on the comment and discussion that's happening in a group. So you see you, somebody asking X y Z question. You write that question down. So then when you have a chance, you could create a post around it and you could answer that question because guess what? They're made other people in the group. They don't asking the same question as well. Then you want to share that post with the group. Once you do that, you have that full shared in a group. The next step is you wanna upload a video highlighting the tea points off that Popes. Why is that important? Some people are going to read that post, but some people watch the video, and now only then you can add an up videos that creates more engagement. So you want to take full advantage of that before anybody else does. Then you want to engage with anyone that likes or comment on your posts. Either follow up with them cinema connection amputation, thanking them for liking your post. You're commenting on what they're did or even tagged them. When you like them back, go through the member list and then send 3 to 5 people that post by sharing it with them. Hey, I wrote a great piece about X. Y Z would love for you to take a look at it and give me your thoughts. All right. Very simple that whoever replied back to that and actually had a chance to read it acts to set up a time for you to speak with them offline like, Hey, I love it. Thank you for replying. By the way, I would like to learn more about your business. I noticed your company's doing blah, blah, blah. Would it make sense to set up a call next week? You know, Would it make sense? It's really asking that permission that my buddy question spoke about, and that makes it open. So people feel like, Oh, you know, they feel like they're making the decision toe call with you so that put the ball under corner. But you know, you Children, the conversation wishes magic. All right, that rants and repeat this over time so you could start with just three groups, and then you can go to five groups and into seven groups. Now, one thing I want you sure that you know you don't want to do too many strategy at one time . Right? So we give you a lot of great strategy. We just need to pick one. Just one and focus on that one strategy for the next three months or six months, and then measure and then ransom. Repeat before you move onto something else. All right? Hope you like this over was useful. I'll see you in the next one. 14. How To Ask For Referrals Without Being Annoying: So if you've been at in valuation, that work, you've been connected without been regional. You've been super per active community. There will come a time where you need help. You want to ask someone for help, and for me it has. In the past, it has been really difficult to ask people for help because for some reason I thought it was a sign off. Being being incompetent will be two week or, you know, this was driven by large egos. We know that eso I had to learn the hard way that asking is solely okay. And one of my favorite quotes is by Robert Shoe. And he says something. See that kind of the tune that we will amaze ourselves if we are by that will amaze ourselves by things you're able to achieve if we're humbling off and bold enough to ask for help. So it's the same methodology is same ideology when it comes to link. Did you want to be humbling off and holding off? See, you know, message people and ask for a referral. If someone knows someone you want to connect to that third person, you want to ask your first connection for that are furl. Well, let's say you you've been an in volume, but you stopped at some point. You haven't connected with this particular first connection for a while, but you want this person to introduce you to someone else. All right, so it's sometimes an aquisition are like, I haven't spoken to you and say a year or so, but I really need your help, This side gun shop. So this is what I want to talk about it this lesson. How do you approach this person? How do you kind off even message this person away that positions you as trust worthy? So one of the script I like to use goes something like this. Hey, Larry, long time, though here it's a bit embarassing right now, but I know we haven't connected ages, but I notice that you're connected with, say, Glenn Glenn is a VP of sales at Let's Say, X y Z company, and I notice that Glenn is recruiting very fast, and I have a couple of ideas that I want to share with him when it comes to get into top talents for his company and you're recruiting firm, for example, so and in the last part of your message could go like, Listen. Oh, wow. You advice that I approached this If you were me, how would you How would you connect with with glad. So there are see things happening here. The 1st 1 is you are totally being vulnerable. You're like land. You're like, Hey, Larry, I totally screwed up. I know I haven't connected. I'm really, really devastated are harassed. But I really need your help. So acknowledging that if you put yourself down, no one can put you any further down. All right? So that's a technique, actually. So you say that and the second thing happening, this message is you're askin for advice. So you're not saying a introduce this person to me. Now you're saying that Listen everywhere in my shoes, what would you do? How would you advice me, Teoh? How you advice me, Teoh, connection this person, And when people are put on that Podesto off, being an adviser or being someone who you know has leverage, it changes the dynamic, and it kind of enables that to help you out. So I have these a script a lot of times, and I use is very generally because I mean I with any of the scripts off course, you can modify some of variables to fit. You know how you think about business and how you connect with the people in your community . But I found this to be very helpful and not encourage you to use it as well. So that's one way that you can connect with people and ask for referrals. Even if you've been connected the person for a while, you can still use the script can modify it in a way that has thesis to make competent. The 1st 1 you being vulnerable and the 2nd 1 is you're asking, How would you you asking for advice? So use this elinda hard works. 15. The Generosity Advantage: Give Referrals: All right, so in this lesson, we're gonna talk about how you can pass on referrals. You can give referrals now, before you get worked out of our furrows. Because I know it's It's kind of sounds like a lot of work I want you to call on, because I want you to think, to think of it as introductions, right? You're making introductions to people who can take advantage of what each and every person is doing. Ah, both of them are doing and adviser business. So in this lesson, I want to help you understand three things that I do when I'm passing for also people. All right, so the first thing I do is it's a kind of a rule of thumb. Always make sure that you connected the right people together. So a couple of a couple of years back, you know, someone made an introduction for me through email and connected me with a business coach, right? I jump into call of this person, and the guy was trying to sell me hard on some services that I had zero interest. So I mean, I don't blame this person, but the person who was making introduction or the referral could have done a little bit more work to understand if there is any value at all. And that is something that you should do because part of what you do when you pass on referrals is that you are establishing authority in your network. You're becoming the person who is given and you don't. You don't want to be known as a guy who gives a lot of fluff, right? So you want to make sure that you the person who you're making introduction Teoh really needs the person What we can do this is you know, as you go through social media with with people in the community, just try to keep on here. Oh, on eye out for things that we need. Maybe someone is saying, Hey, I need a social media assistant or I need someone to help me with a CEO. And let's say a day later or two days later, you connect to someone who is on s you expert, and you want to make an introduction. I want to make sure that that need that your friend has is really court. See what this new person you want to make an introduction to can actually take advantage off. So that's the first rule of thumb I use. This is so, so important. I would encourage you to always do that. And that leads me logically, etc. The second thing that I always do, which is always ask for permission from both sites. So if you want to make an introduction, Teoh this person who has a social media assistance need and that person who is ah, social media, you know he has an agency for that. You want to get permission for the person that has a need in the person who potentially has a solution. So you write to them separately and say, Is it okay if I connect you to that person? Is it okay if I can actually to that person and you only make that introduction pass on the referral if the person says yes. So I know a lot of people would, you know, just right. Oh, shit. Anemone is a connect, and that is a really weak way off passing under for all because you don't you don't. You certainly have the buying for both sides. And sometimes it creates a bit of tension and a kind of tarnish is your reputation within your network. So that's something that you want to think about when you're making an introduction. The third thing you want to think about is you want to diffuse any time burden like any time constraints on your introduction on DWhite. What I mean by this is, you know, when you make an introduction, you have to clearly states that he bullshit connect when it's convenient for that. So it's not receive. You make an introduction today, and the person needs to respond right away. Hey, and the person calls back say, Hey, you man introduction. The person hasn't responded. Well, the person has a life as well. So one way you as the center off that network you want to do is when you're passing on the referral. You just want to make sure that you say that these people can connect whenever it's convenient for them. That way, you know, two weeks later, me, Reese later, months later, they can always gonna even a year later, they can always connect. It doesn't. It doesn't mean that once you make the introduction to should connect to ride away so These are the three categories of three steps that I use. I find it super helpful. And remember that Lincoln is all about building that authority and building that credibility. And I know of no better way to build this credibility than using this kind of system when you're passing overalls. 16. Double Engagement and Traffic With These Video Techniques: one of the most popular features on lengthen right now is lengthened video. So it's more specifically lengthen native video. What does that mean? I mean, you can upload the video, right or link then. So instead of taking a lake from YouTube, you could just upload it right on like them. So if you want to create a video that engage, drive traffic and really built relationship with your network, I'm gonna give you steps or what to do. All right. One start by planning out what you want to put on video. What kind of video you want to create? Tips, lesson learned views, ideas. Make sure you have those specific, you know, goals for the video. So you know exactly what you're gonna talk about. That I want you to take time to create quality video. When you developing your videos, spend a Saturday like I do and spend a couple hours between 2 to 3 hours and just shoot all your videos. If you could shoot 12 videos within a to three hour period, great. If you could only shoot six or four great. Do them by bundle that save your time, but also help you because when you have to put out content, you don't have to. Oh, my God. I don't make another video. Oh, my God. I got make another video. You already have 6 to 12 videos already available. So you then the next step is you want to create a strategy to release those video in a specific time frame. So you turn it like a show, right? You know, Thursday, video day or Fridays. Video day, etcetera. So now every Friday, people can start expecting a video from you. So, consistency, it's key in here. Then I would suggest when she released the videos, right that you start commenting on other people videos because you want to drive traffic to you. So you gotta be engaged. It's so show. So you've got to show that social media side. All right, then you want to share his videos in different lengthen groups. You want people to see them and shared in your company pages. Well, then comment on it because you have followers on your company's page that maybe not following your link, then your personal page. All right. That may have a great network that you wouldn't want to see that video as well because it could value today. So the sixth step is you want to take it a step further by doing a specific sponsor content targeted. Add to that video and you could charge it specific companies. A specific people do not want to get more engagement, but create more awareness. Go out, get it done. And I see you on the X one. Thank you.
