1. introduction: Hey, everyone, how you're My name is Karen and, um, and watercolorist and categorical from India. I've been painting watercolors from quite a while now, and I'm immensely in love with this beautiful medium mostly known for painting portable of flowers. And today we will be learning how to paint viola in water colors. You can check my instagram using handle current 24 way. We'll be learning a lot of stuff in class. We will be learning different colors and supplies that I was using. How doping and effective background with a lot of picture, how to greet, highlight in towers. And we will be learning how to paint leaves with a nice Grady. I will be sharing a lot of tips and techniques in between the class, so don't miss them. I'm so excited to launch to this class and cannot wait to see beautiful being interact to create After taking this class rather brushes and comfort 2. Supplies: I will be using total six colors into this tutorial. The 1st 1 is spying Screw from Centralia, Vince of Oil It from Venza and Newton, Permanent More from Windsor and Newton. New Gambled from Daniel Smith, submarine from Daniel Smith and Last Undersea Green from Daniel Smith. You don't need to use exact same supplies. I will be using two brushes the Silverback over size eight and Escada Optimal size eight. They got a really nice point and concern a lot of water again. You don't need to use exact same supplies. Next, I will be using a ceramic Palito, poor my color and prepare my wash. Next, I will be using some tissue paper napkins, toe absorb excess water from a brushes, a water container which contained some water. And at last, some RCIs paper. The paper I will be using will be in 300 grams. And in court, Chris 3. base layer of flowers: I will be using permanent more toe pain, the base layer off the flowers. Taking the reference picture, I would loosely place my petals off the flower. You don't need toe paint very accurately as we're painting in our Lou style. But make sure that your base layer are very light so that you can put another layer of watercolor when you will be highlighting the flowers. As you can see, there is a lot of water in my brush because they are blobs in the flowers. But don't worry. Now we'll be taking the reference off my force Flower toe place my second flower. You don't need to copy the reference picture. Exactly. Russians. Picture is there just to tell you how the flower looked like and the placement off the flowers. Not taking the reference off. Initially painted flowers. I will place my thought flower. Make sure there are. Make sure off both small and big size petals. Try to make it more natural. Now it's stone to paint the flowers, which are present behind the initially painted flowers. - Now we'll be painting this lover, which is present in the foreground 4. painting background: it's time to paint the background. I will start by painting with sap green color like before. You don't need to be very accurate while painting the background, but make sure you are living the petals. You can also preferred the watercolor paper so that you can easily spread the pain with that in the technique. But here I will be using another bridge to soften the edges. You can notice that I'm getting in between the petals of the flower to give each and every petal its own corrector. Don't worry if there some hard edges in the background just because it will cover it up afterwards. Again, I'm using another brush too far from the edges. I am putting some water blows to give it more texture. It will both the grand elation off sap green. You can also use sword that will also give some similar texture to the grand elation. Again, I'm getting in between the petals, even if in the reference picture it is not like that and repeat the exact same process to paint the whole background. Alternatively, you submarines and undersea green. You can use any other two greens, but I will press for toe paint with some darker and muted colors. Make sure those off on the edges before the layer dries. - The background close to the petals, which is present below the flowers, will be a little bit darker, and as we go away from a flower, it really lightens and similarly paying the whole background. 5. Painting background flowers: as we painted the background off the composition. It's time to paint the flowers, which are present in the background. I always make sure to add these flowers. This will make the painting more beautiful and attractive. You can paint this lover even more loosely. Repeat the same step at the some part of the painting. Make your to paint this lovers at the light part off the background because here green will be dominant color. And now I will rotate my paper. Repeat the same steps that I did to paint the background off the primary flowers. But this time the background will be more lighter. You just need to pop out a little bit off bad grown flowers. 6. Detailing the flowers: in this class, we will be detailing off lovers. I'm using exact same color permanent. Whoa! To enhance the flowers. I don't a little concentrated wash, and I will start to detail my flowers. I'm lit, leaving a little bit off white space at the edges off the petals it will represent or tone over off petals. Don't over off. A battle will always give a natural look to your flowers, and you can soften it with another brush I hear used to brush is just because dipping in voter and taking pigment will raise a lot off color, and I will repeat the same step in the all of the flowers. You can also use a smaller size to do detailing, but I would recommend you to use a bigger size that will give you more control over your watercolor. - I will be doing a little bit off detailing in the background flowers, and now I am taking some dioxins in violet. To put those sports on the flowers, I would recommend you to smoothing them with another brush. Dioxins in violet is a very strong color. I would recommend you to dilute it with water as you can see in the reference Victor, these sports are not present and each and every petal off the flower, so just randomly placed them wherever you want. And now I took very strong wash off dioxins in violet, orphans of oil it. And now I will be painting at the center of the flowers. There are some strokes. Even these drugs are not present, and each and every petal off the flower, mostly at the bottom and the sides, and repeat the same steps in each and every flower, doing the same step in the background flowers. And now I will be painting the center part off the flower using new GAM boy. That's why I left a little bit of white space in center off the flowers. 7. leaves and stems: This is the last class and in this class we will learn how to paint leaves. I will paint very loosely with sap green and we'll continue the rest of the leaf with undersea green I left some natural. One perfect registered leaves again. You don't need to be very accurate. Mainly I will be forced painting both leave. It'll move visible in the reference victor. Now I will be using a doctor shared off green toe. Enhance the highlight. I will be assuming that all the bushes are coming from the downward direction so all the stems will repainted in downward direction. Now I'm randomly placing a leaf with very little strokes. You can also do negative painting like I did. It will give more interest to your painting. Now I will randomly place my leaves in between the flowers. At this point, you can also use leave toe cover some imperfections in your flowers Just because green is more dominant color. This is a hack. You can use any semi sharp object to paint the veins off the leaves. Here I am using a set square. This gives such unnatural effectively leaves. But make sure this is to be done than the leaves are already vet. Now I am continuing the same same that I painted again, using a set square to paint the veins off the leaves and now continuing to pain the stems and the leaves. Don't forget those flowers that we painted in the background. We also need to join them leering off your leaves, and some will also make your composition very much connected and that is very necessary. When you are painting florals, - I will pay in some very small leaves with very dark color. It will give a little bit more.
