Pinterest account? I'm going to go

how to upload the pins. There's a few tricks them
and to create engaging pins. So this is gonna
be a huge thing. The more engaging your pins out, the most successful
your Pinterest account. And it will grow and you'll get more followers
and things like that. So that's an important
topic to cover. Very exciting creating
your boards as well. We're gonna go through that. I'm also going to tell you why
it's important to set them up bright and some tips
and tricks there as well. We're also going to talk
about the business side of Pinterest because not only
can you use it for personal, but you can use it for business. I use it for Business on Asia great social media
platform to use. And I'm going to just
show you how we're going to set up your
business account. It's really easy, but don't
worry, we'll go through it. We're going to look
at some of the tools that the business side
of pinterest has. We can get the ads. We're gonna look at analytics. We're going to have a bib
and in standing hashtags and keywords and why they're
really important. And then we're going to
look at Pinterest shop. Pinterest shop might
be useful some of you, it might not be useful
for any of you, but it's good to note
in the future as well. Let's get started.
2. What is pinterest and why use it : Welcome to this next lesson, which is all about what is
Pinterest and why use it. What is Pinterest? You may have heard of it. You may have seen on Google, especially classes of
social media platform, but it's actually more of
a search engine and such. You move often find when
you're searching on Google, when you're looking for
something specific or say, for example, has style, you might find that
when you're looking in such terms are in the top
sort of search boxes. There might be linked
a Pinterest board, or you might go into images and Joe scroll through and
it will redirect you to Pinterest or in a way the kind of linked
a lot of the time. So that's why we class it more as a search engine
than anything else. What it does, Pinterest
as it allows people to share and discover new interests by posting images
or videos on it. Then it allows you to
collect these ideas on your own profiles so
that you can look back. If you are looking for a hairstyle and you're
not really sure you can create an entire new board
of hairstyles that you like. You can go back. It's like categorizing things that you're interested in in one place. What it primarily is useful. Well, there are five key things that Pinterest is
that he used for. First of all, it's great
for ideas and inspiration. Like I've just mentioned. It's free. So a lot of people use this
as a good platform for the, for the business or products or basically for personal use. It's free to use,
which is great. But it builds up organic reach. So you don't actually
have to pay for ads. When I say organic reach, it means it grows on its own. So basically if you go
on to say Instagram, the reach on that
might be very low. But to boost that, you'd have to pay just so that you
can see more people. But with Pinterest,
it's a little bit different in the fact that
you could post something, say a month ago and it
can get seen today. It's still there, but it's not filtered out by tons and
tons and tons of things. You can't people come
reach your content, but it does grow slowly. You don't necessarily have
to use ads to get noticed. Some of the counts I've
worked on previously, grown in say, the
space of full months. They started from nothing
and then they have probably tens and thousands
of impressions each month. But there was no
paid ads for it. So it's quite a useful place depending on the content and
how regularly you do it. You can grow it quite easily. Number three, it's
a great place for information if you are into some sort of topic or you want to learn about
something specific, It's a great place to find links to things
that interest you. So a lot of the time
you'll find pins, the link to blogs about
what you're interested in, courses or videos,
how-to videos. So great place to
find what you're looking for in one place. And then you can save
the posts that you think are really relevant to what you're looking
for in one place, to look back later. It's a great place instead
of searching on Google and going through every sort of
link or going into images, you can store what's
useful to you in one place before it
has a lot of users. So currently from
stats from 2021, it has 431 million users. Thighs a lot, a lot of
people to kind of reach. The other platforms like
Instagram and Twitter. They obviously have
a lot of users, but pinterest has
a lot of users, but utilize it in
different ways. So people more focused
on what it is, how to do things and
things like that. So you'll find that you'll get different audiences looking for different things
on each platform. But this is a great platform for just because of the
size of your audience. You can think about 400
thousand people on, say if you're looking for hairdressers and
things like that and you want to link and grow your hairdressing salon
or anything like that, you've got that potential
audience and it can grow and it's a great
place to do it. Number five, like
I've just mentioned, It's a great place for
businesses to grow. Over the last few
years, pinterest has gotten itself is
offering more features. So a couple of
things that they've introduced, our idea pins. The shop function which
never used to have, which is now becoming
more of a thing. Edison sort of COVID
hit, growing as well. And then it offers
more video content. But it's just growing. But it's a great place for
your business to grow as well. On Pinterest, there are some
features for businesses and Laufer and some paid ads is an option to
grow your business. They're not expensive,
but you will find through using them, you can grow your orders a lot faster than any
other platform. I've tried ads on all
the other platforms. And Pinterest is
the one that you can see more results in. It's a great platform to try. That's the end of this lesson
as to what Pinterest is. What Pinterest is useful.
3. How to set up a pinterest account : Hi, this is what you'll see when you come
up to Pinterest. This is how you will
create a new account. As you can see, you can connect an existing ones so you can go into your account if
you've got one before. New personal account. This is just really handy if you just going
to be looking at ideas for DIY home ideas, if you've got any hobbies,
that type of thing. So that's really, really useful. Then you've got the
free business account. And the good thing about
Pinterest is if you do start a personal account and it's
going really well and you finding the URM follows
boards and things, then you can start with
a personal account, which is probably what
I'll show you now. Then you can go into a business account from
it so you can convert it. It's so easy to do, but I'll be showing you that
later on in the lesson. For now, we need to do is fill
in the details, continue. Or you can use your
Google accounts, which is sometimes what
I do to get started.
4. How to upload pins : In this lesson, we're going
to look at uploading pins, which is very
important for pinch. Just over here you can
see these plus symbols. They both have a few
different options, but you can still add a pin
on this particular one. I can create a pin or a board. On this one, I can create a few other extra pin
ideas and a normal pen, which is what we're
gonna be doing. If you click on that,
you'll see this on here. This is where you'll
be uploading new pins. So first of all, this is where your image
or your video will go. As you can just drag it
across from a file or click. And it will upload
your file system. And I'm just going to upload
this option quick and easy. It doesn't take too long video, we'll take a little bit longer. Just to expect to
wait a little bit longer just for
that one to upload. But it's not too long. On this side is
everything you need to do to sort of get
your peer noticed. So you'll fill in the title. So you'll probably see
when you go on Pinterest, as you're scrolling through, you'll see like a little title just here on most of your pins. So that's this title here. So don't make it too long just purely for the fact that
some of it will get cut off. If it is too long. I think it's 50 characters. Just click on this. Yeah, 50 characters. Anything more? And it will cut off on this. Your description
is 500 characters, which you can see here. If you do go over it, it won't let you sort
of post the pin, but it will tell you
how many characters you need to do is to do it, which is nice tonight. In this bit, you can just
describe what you pins about. If it's motivational,
you can talk about something
very motivational. It could be a couple of lines. You can add hashtags in a bit
like Instagram for example. Some of these pins
can be noticed in other areas because sometimes when you're typing
out some texts, you do want other
people to find, uh, but don't have to put it
into a cup of sentences. So it's a good idea. After that, you've got
a destination like so this is where he couldn't solve adding
your website link. Or generally if you're trying to sell a service
or anything like that. But if you're not doing
any of that is fine. You don't need to fill it in. It's just there if you're trying to build some traffic
to your blog, for example, it's quite useful. Then up here, this
is the main thing you need to dose as well. This is your boards. If I click down on this arrow, you will see I've
done one board, but there's no other foods. So basically if I
want to save this, I'll just press, I'll
click here and not save. You can see that
it's going to go to my motivational board and
then I'll just click Save, and this will save
to that board. But if I wanted to put
it on a different board, for example, I can then just
quickly create a new board. So I'm gonna put in success
quotes, just rest, Great. That's my board. So that board will now
be here for you to save your pins two and then
you need to do is press Save. That's just uploading a pin. But if you wanted to do say ten pins that all
success related. Here's a quick tip.
I'm gonna delete that. For example. You would fill
in your title, your text. Add a destination
link if you had one, and make sure the board
is set for success, then what you could
do is if you click on these three little
dots, press duplicate. It will then duplicate
that exact first board, this first board here. And it will duplicate
the information. So it will keep the board, the title, the
text, and the link. The reason why I've left
the images off for now, because you don't
want to be keep clicking to delete each one, you'll get a bit confused. So if you went ahead
and duplicated this, kept clicking this ten times, you'd need to do
then is click on, drag and drop or click
on it, upload your file, scroll down, add your image, and then you just keep scrolling down and you can do all ten. It's just a far quicker way
of doing all ten posts. M1 sort of go, just saves a little
bit of time because you will find sometimes
Pinterest can take a while, especially uploading
side of things. That's uploading a pin
that is from a website. This is a new thing. It didn't use to be an option, but if you were to
type in a website, so I'm gonna type
in my website that I and it's going to search for. And so these are some of the images that I've
got on my website. So it pulls them through and
it gives you an option to just select them like this one. For now. Then if I go through, it is good because
what this does is it will do a directly into your website to that
particular image. But you will notice
you can't do anything, you can't description
or anything like that. It does limit the kind of the
way you do you're pinning. If you did want to add more
information or more keywords, you are really restricted from using it from an
image, from a website. So personally, I
would just stick to uploading my own images. They can be the same
as your website, but it gives you a bit
more control about what it is that you can
write about them. Then all you need to do is same as uploading a normal
pen is click on the board. Then you can save it to him.
5. How to create a successful pin : Hi. In this lesson we're going to cover how to create
a successful pin. What is an actual
successful pin? Well, what it is, is it
needs to be very inspiring. It needs to make people
want to save in, engage, comment out
to their boards. It also needs to be
very successful. So these three things
are actually very important in making a
PIN very successful. But there are other sort of aspects that we'll be looking at now that help those three
points reach that goal. Firstly, the size of a
pin actually matters. A pin needs to be
specific dimensions, so it needs to be vertical tool, a ratio two to three, or 1000 to 1500 pixels. The reasons for this is, as you're looking
through Pinterest, you'll notice that everyone has the standard template of this. Reason it makes
scrolling through your Pinterest boards and things like that much, much easier. If you do tend to use
like a square image. Like a lot of platforms
like Instagram or Facebook, they tend to use seven
dimensions as well. Those types of
shapes actually just getting lost in a lot of what the Pinterest
such that you are doing just because
of the size of them. Whereas if you try and match the same size
as everyone knows, your pins will be easily found and easier to
read and be noticed. That's the main thing. That's the size of
the pin Mater's. The next thing that you
need to think about is the context of the pin. It really matters your pennies
through telling a story. It needs to clearly show
what the pin is about. It needs to entice people
to find out more about it. It needs to basically
have it on that. It clearly shows
what it's about. And people will understand
what is the clicking. Once you've got that down to it. The next aspect to make it
successful and to reach these three primary goals is
to have high-quality images. People love visuals, and
as you probably know, Pinterest is a
very visual place. The bad quality of the
images, the better. You also need your images to be very captivating, very stopping. Like you want people to
stop and look and go. What's that? You want those types of
images used in your pins. What you will find is
a lot of people use stock images and thus,
thus absolutely fine. A lot of the pins. You can't be helped or is just to kind
of reinforce like some tax. Absolute fine. But it would be really
useful for yourselves too, if you can, is to
take your own photos. For example, if you do a product or service or
anything like that, it be really good to
use your earn sort of photos because it shows your personnel
teachers, you brand. It gets you noticed a lot more than just doing
this every day. Stock images,
photos which in the upcoming across the same photos again and again and again. Because people would using
them from the same sources. So it's a good idea to try
and mixing your own photos. But like I said, don't
worry if you don't. The final aspect of a successful pin is to write
an interesting description. In the description
box under a pen. You want to make the texts
really user-friendly, easy to read, clued some keywords as well because
that will get you noticed. It will push open to the top when people
are searching for. And it makes sure the
information is really helpful. You don't want just
any old jogging on that ready or anything. It doesn't make sense. Sorry. Let me also try not to be too salesy as well because people don't really
tend to like that. But you cannot like a simple call to action
like find out more, visit my website, those
types of things are fine. But when the entire description
is about pushing a sale, people don't
generally like that. If we go back to what
makes a successful pin, these three goals of inspiring, making people save your pin on, be searchable, all
covered by these aspects. That's the end of how to
create a successful pin.
6. Change your pinterest settings: In this lesson, we're
looking at your profile. It's important to get
your profile up to date so people can find
you and then stomach, you're about to do this. Your page will look
a bit like this. Once you've signed up, you just click on Edit Profile. And you'll have all
these settings. We're just going to
quickly go through them. Some of them you don't
need to do anything with. Some you just need to fill in, but it's not too bad. On here. This is property. One of the most important ones is what people see on here. You can change
this little photo. It'd be the same one up here. So you can see that
little tiny D and you've got the D that will
change to match that. For a personal account, you tend to use your face or a picture of something
that really sun's out about, what you like, what you
do, that kind of thing. As a business Pinterest account, you'd probably change this
to a logo or you could still do a face
actually because it goes out some personalization, but it's entirely up to you. It depends on what your
profile is going to be about as what you
changed this day. Like going through, you just
need to fill out your name. Then go to about. So When we say about
telling your story, basically, it's basically
saying, what do you like? What, why are you on Pinterest? Are you into sort
of hairstyles or will you be showing photos of
hairstyles we'd be sharing, we'd be trying to build up
your knowledge of something. So that's why you
put it in here. So you'll just fill out
a couple of sentences. Just to say what your profile
primarily gonna be about. Great way of trying to grow your Pinterest account as well. It's basically find
people who are interested in you and find you. If we keep going down, pronounces a, a new thing that's just come out
in the last few years. You can just fill this
out if you want to. If you don't, don't
worry about it, It's up to you. Website is one of the most important parts of this because this will
show on your profile. If you sell anything, you have a syllabus or you have a business
or anything like that. It's really important to
put your link in here. Because when people
find your portfolio, they might want to find out, well she do so they'll go
through and click on your link. So it's worth putting
in just here. Then finally, username. Usernames are on every
social media platform. For past the lies one, you can put your name or
anything you'd like really. Sometimes you will
have to play around because sometimes use
the names of gone. And you might find
you end up putting some numbers at the end of it just because someone's
else's got your name. So it's fine for that reason. If you have business
account, however, it's important to try and keep all your usernames the same. Sometimes like for
example, this one, I might put a capital T
and maybe a hyphen here. But they're very similar to
the other accounts I have. So depending on if it's
a business or personal, if you do find, you'll
have to play around with the username
to get it right. But yeah, that is basically your public profile,
your account settings. This is just basic
information for you. The email that
Pinterests will send you stuff like Reset, Password. You can change it here. If you've forgotten it. You need to access it from
your fine, but you forgot. There you go. You can
just fill it in there. Country. You can change
these if you like. Agenda. Logging options is
just basically, it'd be linked to your
Facebook or Google account to help you
log onto Pinterest. For this one, it says
my Google account, which means I signed up
through my Google account, Google email account. Basically. You don't need to do anything
with this really at all. These three buttons. So deactivating account
and delete account. You don't need to worry
about unless you just, you've got too many accounts, you've made one mistakenly, don't need to worry about them. That's all. This button, however, is something that we'll
be discussing later. This is how you convert your personal account
to a business account. But you don't need to worry
about this, just jack, because in another lesson, I'll explain what
you need to do. It's very straightforward. And what happens when you
do nothing really to do on their home feed will literally just take you to the place. So these two are
basically the same thing. So all it does is
it will take you to a page with all the things
that you're interested in, things that you've
been searching. All own page and you
can scroll through. So that's what these two are. Basically the same thing. Claim. This is important. This is where you
claim your website. Basically what it
does is it links the two websites and links your website to
Pinterest account. It just makes you
get found to be easier and adds a bit of
credibility to your account. I would advise during this, I do this with all of mine. When you go into a
business account, the claim will be very different
in the fact you'll have multiple websites and things that you can connect as well, which is really important today. Notifications. You can probably notice this little bell thing up
here within them before. That's your notifications
on Pinterest. So that's what this option is. So you click on it and you can add to how you want your
notifications to be. Possibly on this,
I would turn off your email and push
notifications. This can be a bit overwhelming, so you'll push notifications will basically ping
up on your screen throughout the day as
you're doing stuff when computer and
it can just be a bit draining to close
them down or you're doing something on a Zoom
cool, a bit distracting. So I tend to turn these off and just keep on Pinterest one, just because you can
click when you want to. But you don't really need to do anything in a
minute for these, I think push notifications
is usually turned off. Emails you'll get automatically. So you just need to change
those privacy and data. You don't really need
to do anything on hand. I mentioned is important just because people put at
whatever your username is, you basically just getting found no awesome making a coma about
something that you doing. So it will come up
as a notification. You know, you can just respond, but generally you won't
need to worry about it. But this type of thing, you'll just get a
notification and anyway, so taking need to
recheck that privacy, is that our new one I think
he's good sound about anyway. This is basically when
you look at Google annual typing in a word of phrase or something
you're looking for. It links to Pinterest. So Big Sleep, you
hide your accounts. If you tick this, you're
basically saying Google can use your Pinterest full to answer the questions
that people are asking. And that's where you
need to make sure. Because you do want people
just coming to UCI. You do want people
to see your profile. So I always keep this on tick. Personalization. You don't need to
worry about any of these things until you see maybe too many yards or the ads on what
you're looking for. Any kind of thing to do
towards ads is here. But don't worry about
it at the bottom too. You just need to leave anyway. There's nothing
really you can do other than if you want to know
what pinterest has on you, you just click that button and
you can find out security. This is a way where you basically just need to
confirm my e-mail and tunnel. The basically the
two factor kind of security that they
have now, Ola is, is sometimes you might
find that though, e-mail you to find
something out well, to help you gain access
to your account, It's just adding that security. It's pretty straightforward. You just confirm your email and in the email and
I'll explain how to do the two factor
kind of security steps. And it's pretty
straightforward H just for your peace of mind. So nobody goes hacking into your account or anything
that's pretty useful, then you haven't really got anything on
here at the minute. Basically, if you use
the scheduling tool to upload to Pinterest,
it will be here. All it does is it's
just telling you which apps are connected to
Pinterest account. But that's probably
more of a thing for business accounts that
you need to worry about. If you are going to be
posting a law and law pins, then you can just see what apps, but you don't need to do
anything here anyway. Sorry, you don't need to worry. There anything you do
need to just saw out. It's just a public
profile rarely. But yeah, that's all
it is for this lesson. I look forward to you
for the next lesson.
7. Icons: We're just going to
go through some of the icons and things that
you seeing on Pinterest, just to show you roughly what
they are so that you know, if you need to do anything, that type of thing, we're just going to look
at the top toolbar. Up here you can see this
little bell symbol. This is your notifications
basically and your updates. Basically. You will
see people who follow you and you'll
see some of the trends, some ideas so you can sort of see what's the
latest things are. If there's any sort
of notifications, you'll see red circle
and a number in it. So it depends on how many
notifications you get or any sort of updates
you'll see it here. It's really important to kind
of go through these anyway, because some of the idea pins you might find really useful. You probably never
thought to search, but there's something
you're interested in. You can just click on them, then it will show them, and then you can add
them to your boards. That's notification updates. This one is to do
with your inbox. This is a bit like
any other platform. You can message people, but it's usually your followers. You can sort of message. You can either search
through their name here and then you can pop
them a little message. But it's only your followers. You can. The more followers, the better. That's your inbox. This too, if you've
got a message, it will pop up with a number
and a little red circle. You will know to click on it
and action that basically. So this one is probably the same as
your profile image and going at the same, it will, this does is
if you click on it, it does is we'll just keep you take, take you back to this. So if you go into home
and you go click on this, it'll take you straight
back to your homepage. So that's all that ONE does. You probably have seen
what these ones do, but I'll just quickly
show you again. This is where you create
your PIN and your boards. This one is very
similar to this. And this one just offers a
few more pin ideas as well. Then on over here, you can sort your pins and that you have from these sort
of options as well. But as I say, as you're using Pinterest
more and more each day, you'll notice to
look up here and you'll notice here
is while and you'll know eventually that these autocrat pins because you'll
be doing it so often. This will come second nature, but yeah, these are all this sort of icons you
need to know about.
8. Why hashtags and keywords are important (1): In this lesson, we're going
to look at hashtags on keywords and the
importance of them. Hashtags ready to work. Basically the words, keywords or phrases with the hashtag
symbol in front of it, basically with no spaces in it. In this example, you can see on the right-hand side
there is some keywords, keywords, keywords in the text, and the hashtags at the bottom. This is a very useful
way of being found. Basically. If you use hashtags, thought, useful and relevant, then though get found and it will be easier
when people are using there such times and
at the top bar of Pinterest, when they are using such
bars and they're looking for something so they'll get
found a bit more easier. Hashtags is just a way
for your content be such. So that's the whole
purpose of it. So why use hashtags? So there are a few reasons
other than being such bot. Using the right hashtags can make you get
more discovered. When I say the right
hashtags, I mean, not just throwing
any old hashtag, something you've made up. This is through research. If you going, Oh, what do people want look at when they're
looking for my pins? If you're creating,
has thoughts, you want to find
those hashtags that people are gonna be looking
for to find your content. The right hashtags
will get your content seen a lot easier,
which is what you want. It's also a really great way to have your content put in
front of the right audience. So when it comes to hairstyles, you can use hashtags
relevant to say, hair salons, that type of thing. So you'll look at your
targeting specific people that you know that are going to be interested in that
type of thing. The right audiences really
important for Pinterest because this is how you
grow your business, is through having
the right audience listen to what you do. That's really important as well. It's also a great way to promote your own content and help
be discovered as well. If you want to promote, say, you've got a great
offer or something on, or a free download or
anything like that. You can use those types of hashtags and they'll
get found as well. But it's always a
really useful tool to have when promoting
your stuff that you do. What we're gonna do is
we're going to talk about choosing the
right hashtags. I can tell you why you should
use the how they work, but when it comes down to choosing the right hashtags
is really important. So your hashtags needs to be descriptive and very specific. They need to be very exact in what you do when
it comes to them. This is really important
and you see this a lot is, some people misspell them. A lot of the time they misspell a word and then they realize, oh wait, that doesn't that doesn't show up because
it's the wrong spanning. Be specific in your hashtags
is really important. Make sure that the words
that you use are relevant. And key phrases. For example, if your
virtual assistant and you're trying to
promote something like your substance, you could use social
media packages, something that really shows off what it is that you're
promoting in a single phrase. When it comes to
using your hashtags, it's important to have
a mixture of 14 niche. The reasons for this
is if you just put stuck too broad
ones all the time, all you're doing is you're
throwing it into the ocean. Basically you're
throwing this pins straight into it
and is a massive, massive pool of, say, over 400 million users. So you're not actually
going to be able to hit as many people's you'd like. But if you use a
mixture of, say, two or three really broad terms and then you have niche ones. You're going to find
that the one with the niches are
going to narrower, narrower now we're now down. That audience, those
people interested is actually going to
hit the right people. That's why we say a bit both because the amount of content
there is on Pinterest, you'll find that
sometimes you'll contact. We would be seeing something
for a very, very long time. Sometimes other things do because they're a bit
more narrowed down. This is why we say have a
bit of a mixture of both. I would say is if you're
staying out on Pinterest, it's really important
to do your research. When it comes to hashtags. Spend a bit of time looking at other people's posts
that are in your niche. Another tip I'd say he's really handy is go to the
top of the Pinterest, go to the search bar
and start typing out keywords that you think
you should be using. And see what comes up, see what other words
are generated. Such towns that pop
up, those terms, those phrases, those keywords can all
be turned into hashtags. So it's a really useful
sort of tasks to try. Then put it into an Excel sheet. So when you come
to do your pins, you saving yourself on time because you've already
done the research. That's a reading really handy. Us today. I definitely advise during it, before you sort
of start creating your pins just to save you time. When using hashtags, there
are some do's and don'ts. Use about two to eight hashtags, but been using too many pinterest
doesn't really like it. Sometimes they think
he's a bit too spammy. People find it a bit spammy, especially if there
is no actual texts. If you just say, for
example, just use hashtags, paper a bit put off because they might want to know more
about what the pin is about, then the alt-text is the stuff that pushes them
to find out mole. If you just use hashtags, kind of stops that sort
of journey for customer. Also at them at the end
of the descriptions, sometimes people put them
in the middle of it. Some thoughts calmed
more of a Twitter thing. But for Pinterest, just
use them at the bottom. People tend to
ignore them anyway, because when people click
onto your actual pin, will read the text and the hashtags don't really have much of a meaning
to them anyway. We'll get it, we'll get found anywhere no matter where
you put the hashtags. So don't worry too
much about that. The don'ts don't use
band the hashtags. Pinterest is the same. They're all funds, how
sharks do not use. They're very hard to find. Any way. You can find a
list if you Google them. But generally there aren't too
many pounds ones hashtags, I'd say personally, I've not come across any that
I thought were bands. But I think it's inappropriate content or anything like that. They don't use vaguer
relevant hashtags. Time just throw her
any old one out there. You've got 80 years, so you've just throwing in about six different ones and
you have not really related, but you're hoping you can get different audiences and that
type of thing, it wordmark. Popular hashtags, is, I don't use all of
popular hashtags. So like we were discussing
about using a bit of mixed or abroad and niche. The reason for just using, if you use all popular ones, you'll find that your
content is not gonna be seeing just purely for the fact popular hashtags is gonna
be so much content on now to the point where
it would just get lost. So that's why we try and say
to use a lot of niche ones, a lot of more irrelevant ones. More kind of key to
ordinance as well. Yeah. Don't use too many of them. You can use them, but not many of them. I'm funny, using
too many hashtags. Avoid if you can, just because you're not going to
reach the bar or even says, it could look very spammy from Pinterest point
of view as well. The last thing we're gonna
talk about is keywords. You've probably
heard me talk right? Keywords, keywords, hub, a very important part to play in. Pinterest, pinterest
stretching, keywords, all those specific terms that people are gonna
be looking for. When hashtags are different in the fact that they have the
hashtag symbol keywords. If someone goes to the top of your search bar and they
start talking to word, that's a key word that that
person is looking for. This is why when
you create a pin, we say to use the
description and hashtags because not everyone's always going to be looking
for the hashtag point. They might be looking
for the keyword part, which is without
the hashtag symbol. For this, you need
to make sure that your keywords are
in various places. For example, you need to have it in your profile, your
personal profile. So if you were a hast honest, you would put a
bunch of keywords. Hair salon, stylist, anything
kind of everyday to say. That would be found by people. You put some wise
in your profile because people can actually search by your profile as well. So it's important
to put that in. Then the descriptions
of your pins, you're going to
use some keywords. So you'll probably
put one in the title maybe depending because
ties was not very long. So mainly just put
it in description. And your keywords are gonna be the terms that people
are looking for basically. Then you can look
at doing some of the keywords on your
board descriptions. If you're looking at some of the top topics that
people are looking for. So you can add into it, you're going to have
intertwined with the topic, the board descriptions,
that type of thing. You can put it in the bold name. All the description. Problem is if you do it in
the board name that you might find that some of
you boards are quite long, so put it in the descriptions. And the last one's
really important. Your image as well. When you load images, they don't have names. They should be cooled
what thereabout. Only for the fact that
they will be pulled up. These specific images
that HACE have names. A lot of the time you'll
find that you will just have all your images in there
might be called 12345678910. And you're like, oh, okay. Hang on a second. These are just gonna
be there were any good to be cooled, 12345678910. If they had names. There'll be found a lot easier. They can also be brought up
as well as when you search in search for specific pins. There'll be also searching for the filenames a lot of time. This is something in law. People who don't
know image fauna, people forgot about it. It is very time-consuming, sometimes just putting
a name on things and everyone has
their way of working. So it's important to change your image file names to be
what that's supposed to be. Trying these
keywords if you can. But don't worry, if you can't. But just having a specific name on them is really important. Hopefully, you've learned a lot about hashtags and keywords in from Ninja
Assassin, would say, make sure that you put together a Excel sheet of some short, some soul or however
you want to walk. Do some research may
meet into your keywords and your hashtags because
you'll need both of them. Pinterest has always said it's a big believer in hashtags. They are dwindling a lot
more than they used to be. That's why important
to use both of them. Spend some time doing
this before you sort of put your pins together
because it's really important. Thank you.
9. How to create a board: In this lesson, we're going
to look at crazy, uh, boards. Boards are basically going to hold all your pins
and it's gonna be a very organized way of
using Pinterest basically. To do this, we're going to click on this little
icon over here, the same place for
Wave, find a pin. But you'll be picking on board. This is gonna be the
name of your boards. This is how you're going to
know what your boards about. So you can name it
anything you like. You can actually if it's more about product she
do or something, you can call it my products or your business name
and then products. So anything right into
what it is The board is going to be that way about and what type of content
is going to be in it. For the one I'm going to create. I'm gonna call it
motivational quotes. I'm going to put loads
a positive court since this board, from
different sources. You'll see this keep
this board secret. This is just basically if you're going to collaborate between maybe a group of friends or family member or
anything like that. Then you can click on
this and it'll keep it secret and it can just be
between you and others. But for now we're
always going to choose the option to leave that
unchecked because we want to, we want people to
find our boards. So if we go on to create, what will happen is
you'll see some options asking you to add
some more pins. Every time you
create any boards. This specific way,
it will give you some options of pins that
relate to your topic. So mine was about courts
and positive ones. So these are all going to
be related in some way, majority of time you find this depending on how
obscure your name, your folders, but this
is a generic names. So if you go through, you can just click and save. Germany. I always tend to like about
five posts so that my board, board has something
in it to begin with. But you don't have
to use entirely too, if you just want to
create a board with tons of urine content,
that's absolutely fine. So yeah, if you click on them, so I've done a few, then
you just click, Done. It will take you to your board. So as you can see, it tells you how
many pens you can scroll through and you
can go through them. The rule there. On here, you've got a
few things you can do. If you click on these
three little dots. These are the settings for the board and go to Edit board. This is pretty good idea to
kind of sort of fill in. Basically, if you're a business, this is more important in
personal, not as much, but it is another way for
your boards and boards in particular to be found more
than the pins themselves. So this is how you
would do it in here. You can change the board cover. To do this, it has to be opinion already have
existing in the board. So generally, I create my
boards and then I'll up loads, say an image pebbled, maybe something really bold to say exactly where the borders. And then I'll save it to each board and then I can
select from these options. We're just going to
go with this one. We've scaled it. Press done. As you can see, this will
be the majority board. I'll show you in
a minute kinds of what I mean by the board cover. So you see what I mean. And then you can go
down, you can rename it. If you want a description
like your profile, you want to add content
into this about what your actual board is about. You can use sort of keywords that people are most
likely going to use. You can even add
hashtags into this. But it's entirely up to you. Probably just a couple of lines. You doesn't need to be essays,
so don't worry about that. Then as you go down, collaborators is basically where you would add something
into your board. So it's about keeping
the board secret. But if you do want to just
collaborate with people, you don't necessarily need
to keep your board secret. And you could be
working alongside multiple people is
absolutely fine. You would just click on here. You can either copy
the link or if you are following them or you're looking for
them on Pinterest, you can search it. It's pretty straightforward
most of the time. It's just easier copying the link and just to
make sure that you're sending it to the right
person, that's collaborative. Then if for example, you get to the point you're
like all these board not going off on a can't keep putting stuff on it or
anything like that. You can just delete the
board which is here. You can do that any
board at anytime. As you can see, I'll
ask you one more time. Do you want to delete forever? But once it's
deleted, it's gone. But we're gonna cancel out because we don't want
to really do that. So here's a few sort of options of the boards
that you can do. Once you're done, just click
on Done and you're out. As you will see. So I'm gonna
go back into my profile. So go up to here,
click on my icon. You will see created
and saved options. Saved is where all
your boards will be. So this is when you go
into profile, go to Saved. Created is gonna be your pins, saved is your boards. I'm not sure why they call them. This is just an easier
way of remembering, just create pins, say bullets. And then as you can see, this big square is your boards. So this is your, this is your picture board
kind of thing. This is the cover of it. This is the image I put there, but I can put anything else
that I could probably do a pin that just says motivational quotes on
it and it will go here, but you can change it at
anytime to update it. Things like that. If I quickly go
back into my board, you can still see
go through things. On your board. There is a couple of things
that you might find useful. One is organized if you
have your own pins. So you've got five
of these pins, as you can see,
five of your own. When you create your own, it's going to always
be at the top. You might think. People know that I've just
done a massive batch. What you can do is you can
organize pins so you can drag them into a
specific orders. You could even spread out. If this was one of mine, I could just click and drag it to spread it out so
I could do one mine, one, someone else's one mine. Just so that it's kind of
like evened out a bit because sometimes it's just like it looks like you've just
overloaded the boards, whereas you want people just to scroll through quite easily. So that's one way of doing it. Then once you've done, you just go it back out. Another thing that
you might find useful this on a regular basis, to grow your Pinterest, you would have to add
more pins to your boards. So you'd be looking for
motivational quotes. Instead of searching for it. There's this handy little
option, more ideas. If you go and click on that. It will look for pins with
motivational quotes. For you. It's a bit like when
you set the border, EPA gave you those options
of adding more pins in. You can click on this anytime
you go into your bullets. If you just try and get a few
more extra pins and things, just click on it, go through. I can just click on the
Plus and it will go straight to this
motivational quotes board, because I'm in this board. If I went to a
different board, I had, it would say those
pins into that board. There's no like trying to figure out which board it's
all gonna go onto. It's your only M1 board. That's all it's focusing on. And then once you're done, scroll back up to the top. Then just go back and
it will take you out. And then there's the
pin I've just saved. So it's quite useful. But yeah, you can just build
up your boards as you like.
10. How to convert to a business account : In this lesson, we're going
to look at converting your personal Pinterest
account to a business one. It's pretty straightforward. We're going to just
go into Edit Profile. We're going to go down. I think it's yeah, here we go. Account management.
And then you can see it here it converts
to business camp. You just need to click on this. And this is what
you're going to see. So it's a free upgrade, it doesn't cost you anything. This is the beauty of Pinterest. It's free, Norma, a
walk type of count. You got personal business. So this is what you can see. So personal you get
Publishing Tools and images. But with businesses,
so emerge more. So we've got Ads Manager, which you can track
campaigns, pins, see what's going on, which ones do great. When it comes to your aunt. And you can push products,
that type of thing. Insights. You look analytics. You're looking cage
when you're looking at who's following you and what type of content
that people liked. Then sometimes you can qualify for some offers and credits and staff to solve put
towards ads and things. So that's important to
understand as well. If you just go ahead
and Press upgrade. This is, this is exactly
what you'll see. As you can see,
build your profile. So this is basically what
she business name code. I'm just going to call
it quantity business. Do I have a website
so you can put yes or no if you don't have one, don't worry, you can add on
later, that's not a problem. And then you country
and hemorrhage, That's just in case if
you are a different life, you speak a different language,
then you're going to see post-modern a different language with mixture of English
probably as well. But yeah, if you just sort
those out, then press next. These are just key questions. I'm just trying to find out a bit about your
business so that, you know the pins
that you see on your home feed and things like that that are related to you. This is just helping basically. What's the focus of your brand? You can pick any of
these software through. None of them. Fit, don't worry, just just choose Other and then
just type in what it is. So from my point of view, I'm going to put financing, I'm going to put into my box. You can just put anything. It doesn't really matter what
you put in there for now. It really doesn't matter. I don't think you ever come
back to this page again. Um, it's just just
trying to pinch us, just trying to find a sort of figuring out who
you all kind of thing. That's all this is.
Just the next one is what are your goals? You can pick up to three. When it comes to Pinterest
is entirely up to you. But generally you want to
grow your brand awareness, drive traffic to your website, maybe generate some more leads. But if you're not sure, just click, not sure for now, it doesn't really matter
what you select on this, so don't worry too much about
getting it right or wrong. It's okay. Then if
you go on to next, this is the sort of more customization of
what you'll be seeing. Just if you look
through these sort of titles and have
a look if anything, kind of suit you. Maybe you're not sure to share
your brand new business. You haven't quite figured out
what you want to be doing, then just click on
I'm not sure or if the suit just press other. So for now, I'm going to
click as a freelancer, mine is more of a
service provider. Then I'm going to click on Next. This is to do with running ads. If ad says something you
want to do, that's great. You can always put yes or no. If you're not planning on spending anything,
that's absolutely fine. If you're still
really not sure what you're doing at the
minute and you're not really sure what ads are
if there are any goods, anything, don't
worry, just press on. Not sure yet. So I'm going to
press I'm not sure yet because I want to
get feel for Pinterest. Where would you like to start? These are the goals you selected in the
beginning kind of thing. You can create a pin. It gives you sort of actions of things that you want to do. So you can create pin credit,
not Belgium profiles. So you can select any
of these and this will take you to different
parts and Pinterest. But for now, you can
just cross it out. And you will go
straight into this. I'm just going to zoom out a little bit just to
show you the full thing. But this is the, this
is the page you'll see. This is your business hub. This is where you're gonna see everything that
you need to know. You've noticed there are
few extra temps just here. And you're creating pins and
boards and things is here. Instead of being a
plus symbol down here. Analytics this and drop-downs. There's a lot more
stuff to it and you probably understand
most of this stuff. So don't worry about that. That's in another lesson. We're gonna go through
both of these later on. But that's it, that's converting it to a
business account. So this is no longer
passing a one. This is now a business one. All it is is you've just got a lot more control of how
many people are coming in, what they're seeing,
understanding your audience a little
bit differently. But yeah, this is your
business account.
11. Pinterest ads Promoting a pin : In this lesson, we're going
to look at promoting a pin. So we're gonna be using
Pinterest ads to do this. You can either do it two ways. You can either go straight up
to here and work off this, which will give you some of the options to do it so
you can go to create at all if you're
actually looking bored. So if I'm going to go to this
board, I've already setup. What you'll see is
you see where it says save on the
ones that are yours. So this one's Mike, then it'll say the
word promotes. You can either do it from here
or here, isn't it to you? But I'll show you both ways. On this way, I'm just
gonna click promote. It pulls through the pen to basically will
all be promoting. This is the AED basically. All it'll do is it
will have the pin, the destination, which
when I created this pin, this is the destination
I put on it. But you can edit this, you can change it to
whatever you want it to be. As long as it's pointing to
something relevant to you. I always find once you've figured out where
you want to send it, then you look at the budget. Once you've set your ads, which I'll show you in a minute. You will have to put
your payment details in before you can
do any of this, before you can stop
any of the ads. So it's only a few
clicks a button. But no matter when you click on this tab up here and you
go through any of them, it will prompt you to put payment T-cell and it
weren't doing anyway. Once you've done that, all of these boxes will appear so you can press promote or on a pin. But if you've not set
the payments setup, you don't think this
is what you'll see. Your daily budget can
be anything from £1. The duration can be
one day if you wanted. But that's not really going
to be useful for you. You can either change
this to a certain amount, say, if you're starting out, you could start at maybe
£1 a day to £5 a day. If you want. You can set it for
possibly a week. You could do a week of
£1 budget or week two, week three, week four, the thing with Pinterest ads, it's all about
testing something for someone else might
work really well. And is there any spot
spend pounds a day. But for someone else
it could be £5 a day. It gets the same results. So it's a lot of trial and error depending on what you're
trying to promote. The eruption here you'll
see is run continuously. Sorry, if you click on that. Duration just stopped, you
can't do anything with that. So basically, this is where
you will be able to change. You'll just changed
the daily budget. Basically, it will just
run until you stop. This is useful if
you are and you're going to do like say
one to £5 per day. You've got that in your
budget, you know that, and you can afford it each month so you can
just leave it going. Maybe you all seeing
results on steering, great. So yeah, you could
just leave it. But once you've run it, you can't just stop at anytime. You just need to
go into your ads. Once you've done that,
you go down to here, and this is where it says your potential monthly
audience size for this is the map people that can
see this post will see this on when they're
flicking through things. This is where we'll be. All we need to do
is press promote. And it will begin. Press. You'll be notified. Basically be notified
once it's all sorted. To measure how well this
Dodds install pinterest tags. This is a new
thing, but for now, you just need to press
Done. There we go. It's done. It's being pushed,
it's being promoted. If I go up to ads, you might not see it. Oh, here we go. Over here you'll see Add Status. This is kind of important. So I've just primarily an ad. I'm like, Where is it? I will just go over to here. So it will normally be
an impending because it needs to be checked
and verified. But if I wanted to stop it, I just have to go into it. If I scroll down,
I can pause it. I can preview it. Can change anything
on here in a minute. So you can still say that this is basically
the back-end of things. Once you've done it,
we've sold the nice, easy way of doing things, and this is the other side. So once you have done it,
you will see a bit more. It'll just tell you exactly the dates and starts and things. So I can just pause
this if I wanted to. I weren't for now. If
we go back into that, all your odds that
you do will be in one of these sort of piles. Basically, once this is
kind of how it's 24 hours is I would say be
less than 24 hours. It's usually about an
hour from experienced. The icons of the
ads are ticked off yet you can go kind of thing because they probably just
want to assign them off. All they're doing is they're
checking like it's gotten nothing bad on it or
anything like that. School they're checking. Then once you're active,
it will be here. Earlier I said about
promoting pins. So I said you can do it from your boards
that you can see. You can do it straight from
the pin, pin itself here. But I also did say you
can do it from up here. If you click on hand and you go to which
you think creates, this is actually going
to take you to campaign. So don't worry, It's
kind of a little bit misleading in you probably
don't want to do a campaign. You probably just want
to push a pin at minute. If you do scroll to the corner, you'll see this switch
to quick add creation. You just click on that. It will do the exact same
thing that you've just done. But all it will do is we'll
have this extra step. So what this is, is this will have all the
pins you created in here. You can scroll through
and then you select them, press Next and do the
exact same thing. It's just adding a few
extra steps in 3D.
12. Pinterest analytics overview : Welcome, today's lesson
about analytics. We're just going to go
through the basics of the analytic tools because it
can be a bit overwhelming. So we're just going to start
with the basics to find it. If you go straight to the top, you can see it just here. And if you give it a click, you'll see some drop-down menus. If we go to a review. This is where you'll find all your data about every
type of pin all in one place. So this is the most
important tab ready out of. Let's drop down. Here. What you'll see is arranged things and there's
quite a lot on here, but it's pretty
self-explanatory a lot of it, but don't worry, we'll
just go through it now. On this slide you can see all of these options and stuff depending on what
you choose here. This data over on this right side will match
wherever you put in. So we'll start with
this filter here. So date range. So if you click on this, you can kind of look
at the last 24 hours. You can days or you can
choose to customize it. You click on, customize,
1100 walk. Procreate. This is a brand new thing, so there's not really
anything to show, but if you were to go on that, you can select this and
you can sort of move this tab all the way back
to a different date. You can always do like the last year if
you want to see it. That's how you do
it. So you choose to start and the end
date just here. And then this will show
all the information here. But as it's a brand new account, they weren't having
anything to show as of yet. Give it some time. You won't really see things
straightway and analytics, just because it does
take a few days for it to catch up and
put the real data. And so you might find it might be a couple
of days behind, but that's only because
they want to get to the end of the day to
upload the information. So it does take a
little bit of time. So don't worry if there's
nothing here to start with. We'll keep going
down the filters, say Content-Type, organic
and paid and organic. You putting pins out.
Nothing special. You're not doing anything else. You're just putting pins out, but that's what organic is. So people are finding
them naturally. There's no paid parts or any sort of anything to
help push those pins. Paid. And then is
basically where you use paid ads to
promote your pins. And you can sort of filter between them or you
can just choose all. And it will come up
with the information every device is another filter. So this is kind of handy
if you're doing sort of posts and people that are going through to your mobile
website kind of thing. Or this is good indicator of the traffic level and stuff in people's interests in
devices they're using. So if you're finding those
people who are during, say for example,
mobile on your pins. It's going through
to your website. It's really important to make
your website on the phone really adaptable for people to browse and making
it really easy. So it is useful information. I think all of these are quite
useful in different ways, but it's only when
you sort of STI and putting your pins out there, you'll start to notice what's
most important to you. It's scrolling down. Ages is quite good
one in that you can sort of see what age
group your audience's. Once you've been using this for, say, probably about two months, you're actively pins out there and you're following people
and things like that. So you are doing stuff. This is a good indicator of kind of what audience she
needs to target. So you might find, like you might want
to reword things to constitute a
younger audience. You might find the older
audience just want the facts. They, they won't lose
more information. So it's a kind of a
good learning tool. This anyway, I think
with Analytics you will find is
all about learning. And it's, there is a
lot of information, but it's useful information for you so you can grow
your Pinterest account. If we keep going down the
filters, we've got female, male or this isn't
that important really, because Germany on Pinterest, you'll find majority
audience is female. Not many males use it, but they are all sort
of steadily growing. Pinterest has been growing. Then this is basically your So basically your activities, your pins or other people pins. So once you've created
lizard boards, you've got your own
pins and others. Pinterest knows the
difference between the two. They know what's yours and
they know what's theirs. What you can do is you can
filter between them and see if other people's pins
are doing really well. And it's a good idea
because if you look at it, you can actually get
inspired to create different pins for your boards if yours aren't
performing as well. So it's quite useful
to look at this data. This isn't really that relevant, so I wouldn't worry
about this too much. It is when people just can't
include your saved pins. It's something that
I don't really play around with any way. If you asked buying
on Pinterest, I wouldn't worry
too much on this. So if I scroll back to the top, so this is just going to look
at your overview of things. So these filters on the left
will change what's here, but I'll just quickly
go through what it is. You can see if you go
through each of these, these are the types of pins. Pinterest offer. You got all your, all your pins and conclude
every type that you post. You've got your standard pins, which are your normal
pens like a pitcher with a bit of texts it on
Pinterest, that's standard. Product pins are
different in that they are linked to a product
that you're selling. So that's to do with
Pinterest shop. But don't worry about that. I will show you that
in another lesson. We'll talk a bit
more about that. Idea. Pins is a fairly new thing. What it is is it's pain
with multiple images. And it's good for
things like recipes. You've got multiple things. It tells you how
to do something. Those types of pins are
when you create them, you will be using a
different function from standard pins, um, when you set them up. But in another lesson, I will show you how to
set up an idea pin. Then finally, video pins. Video is such a huge
thing in a minute. When we talk about videos, it doesn't need to
be like hours long, 60 minutes, 30 minutes. It can be lychee, a 30-second clip of a video. It doesn't need to be that long. So this is quite
a good one to try for your business depending
on what you're doing. But it's worth a try
because it might improve your stats dramatically. We just go back to all pins. As you probably swatches
I was going through. And it does have its own sort of analytics kind of things. Those tell you a bit
more information about each type of pin. But as you can see, there's
no information as of yet. But if you go through them, they kind of change slightly depending on what kind of pen. So for example, a video Pin will have different
kind of stats because it's a different
kind of engagement level. So for example, people
will play something. It will focus on how
long it played for, you know, do people click
away that type of thing? They are useful to look through. But if we go back to opens because I don't
want to overwhelm, you, will start with
overall performance. Your expressions like
impressions, engagement. These are the two
main ones that you hear about when
people talk about Hoff got like 10 thousand
impressions per month. This is what it means. So if you hover, this is a good way to
kind of understand them. If you forget what they
are kind of thing, impressions is the number of times you will pin
was off screen. So I basically saying
always getting found has been on someone's screen,
somebody scrolled past. It is great because
you want people to be able to see what you doing. That's what impressions,
engagements. So this is the total number of times somebody clicks or say, it's basically then actively doing something when
they see your pin. That's basically what that is. You'll find impressions
will go up quite high. Usually. You'll probably find like 10 thousand impressions and then engagement will
probably be like 300. But that's absolutely fine
because you're gonna get a lot of screen time way more
than engagement anyway. But engagement is really,
really good thing. To be honest. That's what those two
while total audience. This is the total
number of Pinochet who've seen or engage with it. So that might mean they have come across it and thought quite like
that or something, or they wanted to find out a bit more than I have opened the pin. That's what that means. And it's important that grow when your engagement
gross as well. All of these will grow steadily
but at different rates. So don't worry,
we've one's really, really high on some array
low, don't worry about that. Then engaged audience, which is. Ibec conference scene. This is people who
have followed Shoe. They've done a bit more. They've might have
commented higher than this, but basically these are
very active people, whereas these
people just kind of click Save that kind of thing. This one is actively
looking at who you are. They might have
gone through your profile and that type of thing. Oh, they've clicked through
to the website link. So these people are engaged
in your entire content, whereas these are engaged
in the actual pen itself. That's what these
four thing out. But the great thing
is you can just hover over if you forget what any of them mean
or you're not really sure why this one is this. That's the reason why. If we keep going down
performance over time is great. Pinterest do really well with Analytics if make it
really clean cut. So you can see daily what kind of stats and things
are and how things doing. These false or tabs appear. You've got those, but you've got loads more kind of options
to kind of look at. But generally at the
minute or you're looking to do is you're trying to
build up your impressions. You're trying to build up
a more engaged audience, as are two main goals when it comes to Pinterest business. So if this then the growing
each month, That is great. That's what you want to see. If you finding that there are a lot of depths from
one month to another, then it's kind of like you'll have to look at
this type of thing, all this analytic information, and figure out why rarely. But don't worry,
each month you will see say for the entire March, there will be little spikes going up and down, up and down. Some days you might not
have anyone see your pins. Some days there are hundreds
of people seeing them. So it does vary from day to day. I say take it with a pinch of salt and do it month to month. I'm walkout. How everything's
during month to month. It makes life a little
bit easier than worrying about every single
stocks coming in. And it can drive you
a little bit crazy. So don't worry too much
after the first month, kind of see how
things are going and then sort of learn from
them each month to month, but try and maybe put a
spreadsheet together. Kind of these keeps
sort of stats here and sort of work out how they're
improving each month. Then just start working out
how to improve your pins. If you don't need to
improve, fantastic. If you're being really active and you're posting and you know, you're growing very quickly. Thus fantastic,
that's what you want. That is the ideal goal. Goal at the end of the day. If we keep going down, you can go by top
boards as well. So you can see which
both are very active. You can go through this
when we do have them. Then this is the one
that I think is really important, is top pins. When you look at this, it will camp some stats about the top pins
that you've halves. It will show the mid order
how many impressions or you can click on this and choose
which ones do you want to? Do you want to look
at engagement, seeing how many people saved it? Saves like clicked on, click-through your
outbound links. So that's somebody clicking
through to another website. You can find that all out here. So don't worry,
this will fill up. But I'd wait probably 30 days
when you've actually got a full solid month behind you before worrying too much
about the information here. But it is a good indicator
if people are interested in, because sometimes if you are doing posts and you think that reading what people will see, turns out they don't, they might like something else. So they might like the
wording or the style of your pins if the top five
of the exact same style, that indicates that that
style is walking for people a lot more than maybe
something else you've tried. Everything you find
here is really useful.
13. Setting up pinterest shop : So I'm going to just do a quick overview
of Pinterest shop. It's not something
you need to set up. It is just items that
you'd be setting up and it will go into the
Pinterest shop as such. So I'll show you what
it is to start with. So if I go up here and
I type in the word cup, it was at 0 pins. But you'll get explore, which he'll be showing you
various cups and random food. Then you'll have profiles here, which have people who
have interests in cups. Then here's the shop. This is where people
have talked items from their website onto Pinterest
so you can click through it. You can see this says Etsy. If I click on that, it
will go through taxi. And it will take me to
this specific product, which might be what I want. Also shows you the price
if I come up with debits. So you can see it's 22 pounds, this fish looking thing. And then basically
you can also save these specific things as well. So it's quite good if you
just try and look for ideas for say, e.g. a family member.
You can put a board together and then
save all these pins. Maybe get friends, people to
add themselves to the board, and then people
can just directly find what they're looking for. So the way you do this, so what we need to
do is we need to go to Create, go to pen. So it's the same as everything else creating a normal pen. But there's something
else added in. So I'm just going to add, for argument's sake,
a Pinterest image. So this is just a
successful, just an example. There's no products on this, but it's just an
example for you to see. But in a business you only had this delete icon and
this Edward edit one. Because you're on a
business account, you have a third one
which is tired products. So I can click on that. And as you can see,
it says Add products. So add products to your
image so that people know what we need to do
is click on this. And you'll have two options. You can either type
an inscription here or I always find
this a little bit easier, is to go to a specific place. So e.g. I'm just
going to go to this. This is an ETC1 that
I had previously. For I scroll down, I can select say e.g. if this dog picture was mine, I've now select it. I'm going to press Save product. So when people are
looking at this, this is the actual product, the actual product part of this. But you can keep adding more images as well
if you wanted. But as for now, that's it. So as you can see, you can add up to
24 if you want. So if they had different angles, different colors, this
is how you do it. Then press Done. And as you can see,
I have one product. So you'd then put the
same link as this one. Here. Fill in the description. The description might
be a bit different, especially if it's a
product or something. You might want to use a few
more keywords you might actually want to mention
it's Etsy related. Because sometimes
people search for Etsy related things and then
you'd publish and then it'll be the same as everything
else you've just seen in the shop where as
people are looking for, say, this specific product, then it would pop
up as a scrolling. And then it will show the
price and the details on it. Click through to the website.
That's basically it. That's all it is. You can just tag your
product straight away. And it's one of the
easiest ways to do it. But it's a great
way for, you know, you can leave pins on there for awhile and you can get some
sales for different ways. So e.g. if you start pushing
ads for your Pinterest, it will push the
specific ones as well. So it's a good way to push
traffic to it as well. But it's just another avenue of trying to get people who are interested in stuff that you do. Different place. But yeah, it's worth doing if you
do have products though, I tend to use mine
from Etsy profile. And I find it does push the traffic through
to it quite nicely. So that is Pinterest.
