1. How To Write A Sexy Headline That Will Get You More Fame and Traffic: welcome to how to write sexier headlines that will get you more fame that are gonna get you more students. If you're a teacher here in skill Scher, that will get you more people to come and lead your blawg. Engage with your YouTube channel or click on any of your social media content. Hi there. My name's Michael Waller, and I'm going to be your teacher today. I've been doing content marketing since 2000 for when I owned a local service based business throughout South Jersey. It was a local cleaning company, and we started blogging, and we learned their importance of content marketing. But content marketing does you no good if somebody doesn't click on that piece of content to engage with it. Recent statistics show that 80% of people will read your headline. That means if again, your teacher here on skill share, 80% of people will actually see your class if they're typing into a search bar. Let's say they're typing in photo editing or YouTube or whatever. Maybe 80% of the people are going to see your class, but less than one in five less than 20% will ever engage with that piece of content you've put in all this hard work. That's why it's so important to take the time to come up with a very captivating headline that will actually get people toe. Wanna click? Now you've heard people talk about Clickbait. I'm not talking about Click Be. I'm talking about something that's actually going to grab somebody's attention and say, You know what? That's my problem. You've got a solution. I'm going to take time and engage with your content. So take the time to go through each of these 12 different tools. Yes, there's 12 different free tools that I'm going to share with you. I go through the each of them almost every time I come out with a piece of content. So I'm working on a new piece of content right now and we're gonna use that as an example, and I'm gonna show you how I actually go through the entire process. Now the first thing we're going to do is if you can't come up with an idea of what to write about, I'm going to show you a few tools that you can actually use, and then we're going to go into tools. How, actually greater headline for you and then headline analyzers at the end. Actually, the two last tools that we go through is part of the class project. I can warn. I want to warn you this. They're addicting. I love these two tools, and in fact, if you engage with me on Twitter, I have a class on Twitter. I'm always on Twitter sharing the score that I get. I'm so competitive when it comes with it, and I joke around with a lot of friends, and we're always trying to get the highest score. So once you try out these tools and you start practicing, you're going to get better and better. Your headlines and what I love you to do as part of this class project is pick one of the last two tools and go ahead important. I had nine for a piece of content that you're working on. Maybe it's just a, you know, a tweet that you're going to share or, ah, Facebook Post. Or maybe it's a block post. Or, if you're a teacher here in scale share, maybe it's two title for your class. So what? I love you to do is to go ahead and take a screenshot of these last two tools and share with me your score and let's see if we can work on it together to get that score up. Because again, you've got great content. Now. We just want to get people to engage with it, so I'll see you and lesson number one. 2. How to know if even people care about your content idea: Welcome to lesson number one. The very first thing you want to do before you actually go and create this sexy have done this headline that people going to click on is to make sure that the actual subject that you're going to be writing about or if it's a video on YouTube, whatever it may be, is that somebody is actually out there searching for what it is that you're about to create . And this is called keyword research. Now we go will deep into keyword research over in our S e o Class, when we talk about how to optimize a block post for S E o sos that ranks in Google. But for the purpose of this class, what I recommend doing is going in getting the free keyword tool, which is called keywords everywhere. It's a Google chrome extension. It's free again. All you need to do is to type into Google keywords everywhere extension and you'll see right up here. Here it is. So you'll notice right now that my Google search looks a little bit different than most. Why? Because I have the search volume by here in a CPC when you see a high CPC cost per click. That actually means that the people who are searching for this have buyer's intent. If it didn't have a dollar figure associated to it, it just means that people might be searching it in a large amount. So popular Hashtags people will be out there searching for popular hashtags but not going toe have, ah, high CPC. And the reason for that is that there's no buyer's intent behind it. Now, when you take a look over here, you'll see related keywords again. This is or Google search. Mine looks a little bit different because I'm using this extension. So one thing I want to show you is that my original title was going to be problem teenagers . Now what I realized is that that only had 30 searches a month now going to be doing a video and a block post in a pod cow podcast around this topic. So as they started looking over here, what people are also searching for, I realize that the word difficult was something that people are looking for. So if they're searching for difficult and I have difficulty teenagers, not only is that good from an S CEO standpoint. But it's good because psychologically, when somebody sees what they're typing into the search bar and it says that that's a pain, I have difficult teenagers. They're more likely to click if I have that in my headline. So that's pardonable on that step Number one. Go get keywords everywhere and we'll see you in the next lesson. 3. Will My Content Match Headline (7 Awesome Free Tools): welcome back to lesson to in this US, and what we want to do first is make sure that we actually know what the content is that we're writing about. A lot of folks will write a headline first, because again, that's so important. 80% of people see the headline. Let someone enter five will click on it so you have to have a really good had nine. But you also need to have an idea when creating the headline to know what that content is going to be about. So we already did the keyword research in Lesson number one now here in lesson number two. What we want to do is have a general idea of what direction are we going to take this block post in? Is it going to be about how to whatever it may be how to deal with difficult teenagers? Or is it going to be something different? So you really need to have a general idea of some what's go through a few of my favorite tools that can help you come out with an idea, because what you don't want to do is have a great headline and people click on it and they come over in. The headline doesn't match up with, actually, the piece of content that's called Clickbait. People just gonna back and go back to Google on that sends a negative signal to Google. So you don't want a lot of folks clicking on your website. Anything jumping back out? That's not good. Number one. Number two. That's a former fake news, and it's just not ethical. So here's the first told that I would recommend its answer the public. What I do like about answer. The public is a integrates nicely with keywords everywhere. So when it gives you suggestions, I will also tell you when you school the way to the bottom of it is, are people actually searching for this entire suggestion that they make to you? So answer public scrape. The one downside also ah, with answer public die tone like he's actually quite funny. There is that it doesn't give you a lot of US opportunities to do a lot of searches. They're going to try to up sell you into their products so you can use it two or three times, I believe. And then after that ah, you have to wait 24 hours. So let's go to the next tool, which is called Swipe worthy. It's swiped W s I p e d dot co love this tool. What it's doing is you can see right here you just can go through and scroll down and find your niche. So, uh, I am going to be writing a little bit about education, but also parenting. And what's interesting, then, is it's going to pull some of the best headlines ever. The best landing pages, the best, ah, swipe, worthy content out there in education. So if I want to click on this right here and save you the swipe, finish reading in store our free mobile app and so you can see here it's going to start having comments on why it's interesting and what's knee is at the bottom. It gives you the key, takes takeaways of why this is swipe worthy and what's good about it. So what's interesting and why I like looking at this is you can kind of if you have the key word that you're going to write about. Maybe you can actually find a had nine that's been proven to already succeed and do very well. Eso Sometimes this might not work for you. Ah, but a lot of times I love using it for coming up with headlines or even landing pages. Tip number three would be taking a look and just going to good old Google. Now, first off, you can also do this, and I recommend doing this any time. You're in a check out line and you're waiting on line. If you're not talking to somebody there, take a look at the magazine headlines. I love when I go to Barnes and Noble's taking a look at the actual headlines of and magazine these individuals that right, these headlines are very good individuals that some of the top magazines out there can get paid almost up to seven figures to come up with a headline. Why? Well, this is what gets somebody to actually engage and by the magazine or these titles right here. So you can either type in to Google and then goto images a magazine in your niche if you want to. So obviously ah, we're doing an education and parenting advice so I could type in Parenting magazine, which is popular in or niche, and then I can start scrolling through and saying, Okay, well, wears something interesting, right? And, uh, let's see, Here is an example up. So Jessica Alba let me just in largest police. He could see this, and it says gets honest. Okay, so Jessica Albert gets honest about difficult teenagers now. Obviously her Children aren't teenagers yet, so that when it makes sense for this article, But when you use somebody that's in the news, you will tend to get a lot more clicks. I will give me an example of. Recently I wrote a post about how ah Melinda and Bill Gates parent their Children and because they used their names in the headline. It did really very well last year. He did one about Steve jobs with his daughter, and that did very well also. So if you can use a celebrity in your head, nine extra bonus points. But what I worry again, like doing with this is you can just scroll through and start seeing Ah, maybe you also get ideas. It might not be for this piece of content when you're coming out with that had nine, but what I like to do is I keep a spreadsheet. It's actually ah Trela board that they keep of headlines and topics. I want to write about going forward. So if you're ever in a drought and you don't know what to write about, you can always revert back to that. So if you have notes on your phone, keep notes there. Wevers Simple is for you. But again, I really love this tip right here. Here's another great tool. It's called port tent dot com, and all of these will be linked up back in the description for this actual class. So please, if you're not sure if we're going too fast here, just jump over there and start clicking and you'll see each of the ones. Ah, at the end of the description of this crass. But what's interesting about this one is so I typed in difficult teenagers hit, enter and it says 17 unexpected, unexpected uses for difficult teenagers. So that doesn't make a lot of sense. Right when I look at that, So Ah, what you can do is you just click right here, this old bind and that's going to give me another toys. So why difficult Teenagers are lamer than James Franco. So Bam, James Franco. That's interesting, right? So maybe that would make sense. Maybe it wouldn't Ah, boards. Knee is You can keep going through and clicking. It's going to give you a ton of ideas so shocking ways difficult Teenagers will make you better in bed. Probably not appropriate eso we would go on and click again. 16. Unexpected dese is for difficult teenagers again. Back to that 1st 1 18 Unexpected ways Difficult Teenagers can give you better hair. Interesting. Um, so this out tool is rivalry. Covitz go onto the next one. Ah, this one is CEO Presser again. Everything when we linked up in the description for this class. But I just typed us in right here and then say Generic. I could say Brand, I could say person's name, Location. Eso What's ah, do a person's name and watch this all you need to know about difficult teenagers. 15 awesome things you can learn from difficult teenagers. That one sounds interesting, actually. Also, so again, love this tool. You can just click down here if you want it to generate additional ones under this 15 principles, um, that you can learn from difficult teenagers. Eso again play around with this one. Next one, right here. Love this one. Actually, this is Ah, you tweak your base title. Genuine generator. And the one thing is, is, they're paid by ads, so you'll see ads popping up. You do what he have. Sorry about that. But Ah, what? See here. So I put in difficult teenagers. I hit submit. And then what's great is it shows you less and then bass. So when you say, you know, top 10 best tools, those things do really well. So 60 best ways to sell difficult teenagers. Probably not appropriate for that one. Here's how to make difficult teenagers know how to sell difficult teenagers. Some parents might like to, but no, um, how to restore difficult teenagers. Interesting how to teach difficult teenagers. Interesting. So I might copy that one and put it at somewhere and then write a post about you know how parents can teach difficult teenagers and add maybe to the end of it who? Don't listen. That might be something I would get a lot of clicks. Ah, and that's something if again, if I'm not going to do right now I might put that in a travel board. And here, just the last headline generator idea tool that I really enjoy. Ah, this one is one that I actually revert to a lot, and it's content road dot com again. Everything will be linked up there. So all you need to do this one. Actually, what I like is it does actually show you. So there's difficult teenagers. I'm going to click. Enter topic. Whoops. There we go. There we go. OK, so it's going to show you What's Clickbait on? Topical. So 13 amazing facts about difficult teenagers somewhat Clickbait, they say what the government doesn't want you to know about. Difficult teenagers definitely click bait. Don't know if I would write an article about that. 10 ways difficult. Teenagers can suck the life out of you. That's something I think a lot of moms and dads would definitely want to click on. Eso. This toll is great, and you can see they have evergreen. If you're somebody that writes a lot of content, that's evergreen, meaning it's relevant today and in 20 years from today. Ah, then you know, definitely you would want that click to hear If it's seasonal, you would unclipped and just keep seasonal. So sometimes if you can write a post particular around ah, holiday. So I vote 20 pranks that parents could play on the kids for this coming Halloween 2018 that posted really well had tons of shares on Pinterest. But here's the thing. The post after Halloween isn't going to be a Zverev in again. So what we'll do is we'll go back and update that post in 2019 just changed a date on it. Ah, and it will do Well, we did not put that actually in. Ah, right here in the u R l ah, the year so we can actually change everything out. And that post should do. We will again. So play around with these tools. If you're unsure of how to come up with actual content that you're going to be writing about, and then the next thing that we're going to do is now go jump in. Now we know or writing about and see has anybody else written about something that's similar and then come up with the actual had nine that we're going to use. We will see you in the next lesson 4. Will People Engage and Share Your Content: Welcome back to lesson number three. What we're about to go through, consider this a cherry on the top. This isn't necessary. However, what it will do is ensure that people are ultimately not only really interested in what it is that you're about to produce, but that they're also likely to share this piece of content because we looked already in lesson number one to see Are people interested by doing that keyword analysis What? We went and did some keyword research and we determined that people are searching for what it is that you want to produce content around. And then what we did unless the number two was we said, All right, well, before we actually create this amazing, sexy headline what the content going to look like Is it a how to article is analyst ical because it needs the content needs to deliver for when people click on that headline and come over to the piece of content. Now, before we go in, create this headline and then a piece of content, it's always good. Also to see are people really engaged with this topic and sharing it, and that's why I love to come to this free tool. It's called Buzz UMA. It is a paid tool. However, you are allowed a a couple of free searches each and every 24 hours. So I will link up to it because they make it really difficult. Actually find this part of the tool, but it's one of my favorite features. I'm actually a paid user of it, too, but what you can do is you can search influencers. So if you want to know who were the top influences in your niche, um, you can just come by here. But what we're going to do is go onto content right now, and then I'm going to type in difficult teenagers we had enter. And, as you could see here, it's showing me the engagement. 3.8000 shares, 1.61 point four. It shows you the article, you can cook on it and go read the article. I do advise doing that if you're serious about creating a piece of content around it. So my article is not going to be about free help for parents. It's going to be something different, but I could say this again, back over my trouble board or on my notes pad on your phone to write about in the future, but s so you can see that's gotten a lot of action on Facebook. Not as much on pinchers. But if you see a lot of action on Pinter's, I'll show you one of our articles here. 31 questions 1.9 1000 re pins on. And that's because we have an infographic. So if you see something getting a lot of action on Pinterest and you'll go to try to compete for that, you better make sure that the content also has a lot of images on it. Because that's what people like on Pinterest and you can see here on Facebook, 353 shares a lot of engagement Twitter playing around with this toll. It's really useful. And now what we're about to do is to jump in and actually go and create that had nine. I'll see you in the next lesson, 5. 3 Free Tools to Write Sexy Headlines Like Madison Avenue: Welcome back to lesson number four, and now we're ready to actually get started in creating this headline. I'm going to walk through three different tools. This is one of my favorite tools right here. It's by co schedule and a free headline analyzer. Oh, you need to do is really just give them your email address in a little bit of information about your company, the sides of it, the name of it. And then you can use his toll as frequently as you like. I do want to share with you. Go fast. You can see over here I have a headline. And here's all the tools that we've been talking about. I keep a folder on my desktop, so it's very easy for me to always get to so we know that we want to write a a how to article about difficult teenagers. So I have how to and then we knew difficult teenagers is the key words, right? So how to I could say how to deal with a difficult teenagers would see what we get and now watches. It's going to give you a score. So I got a 75 on that. Any time you can get above 70 with this. Congratulations. Please come over to Twitter and tag me because that's a major accomplishment you can ever get over 80. Ah, that's incredible. I have yet to ever get over 90 s. So if you do, please rub in my face over on Twitter. But how to deal with difficult teenagers? Not sure if I love that. Um, maybe what I like is how to help a difficult and I dont like a So I need to move 77. I'm gonna take a out because it doesn't make sense there. How to help difficult teenagers. And that dropped it to a 73. That's fine. Grammatically, it makes more sense. So how toe help difficult teenagers. And then it's always good to add some time to something. So in 90 days, or in what I say in under 24 hours with little click bait, it's probably not Ah, practical. But maybe I could say What's the in days, Not years? Let's try that. There we go. 77. I am really happy with that. Now What we'd like to do is to take this and I love co schedule. They love how to type of, um titles, so you'll tend to score higher with this when you give a how to. But let's go over to this tool right here. This shows emotional marketing value. Eso all you need to do is tow. Copy this in and this is again Advanced Marketing Institute. I am going Teoh hit enter and would see their selected category. You can select a category if you want to. Out to say education. You don't need to submit for analysis and so you can see why here, it's not giving me. It's good Copywriters like the best of the best are gonna have 50 to 75. Um, and then if you can try to get into 30 of 40 they say, Great job. I'm at 33. So I'm not in the best with 50 to 75 with this. Ah, but according to yuko schedule, they loved it. And now what we want to do is to jump over into this tool also so Thies to what made you stick them next to another. I love co schedule and shared through, and I use this one headline dot share three dot com all the time. What's paste this in? My guess is it's not going to be as high. Yes, so you see you gave me of 69. It's going tell your strength. So limited use of positive Senate sentiment. It's great. Strong use of context words, the Mindy's of passive language. It's great suggestions. Ah, you see this one right here? This is interesting. Try adding a celebrity, and so you know, it's pointing out. TMZ gets a lot of traffic and clicks. Ah, and it's, you know, I think TMZ If you ever want to goto like The Enquirer magazine, just look at some of their headlines again. That's a little bit more click click bait. But TMZ buzzfeed also those copywriters who come up with those headlines, they get paid a lot. And again, some of the best copywriters out there on an annual basis could be making over seven figures or close to seven figures a year. So Ah, this does take a talent. But all the tools that we've gone so can very help. Ah, I do want to encourage you as part of the class project to please go ahead, start playing with this. If you're a teacher here in scale share. Ah, put in your class name here and then see how it scores. If you're writing a piece of content, if you're creating something for YouTube, tweets, whatever. Maybe this tool is very good right here to quickly jump into. So is this tool and then come on over and share I am really proud of. You can notice that the video one that we used was called how to write a sexy had nine that will get you more fame. And that was the very first lesson that we went over. And you can see that that got in 81. So according to co schedule, that's going to do we're well. And if I want to check it against Ah, this told right here I could again just kind of go over here quick. Analyze. I do want to point out characters 56 you do want to keep it over under 60. If you're writing a piece of content for your blawg and you want to rank in Google, do keep it under 60 characters. We go over that in or s CEO class, but what C 68. So either way according to co schedule. They said it did great. I was happy with it, so I went with it. Always go with your gut. Ah, but these tools can all help you out. We have some closing thoughts in the next video. And then I am so excited to see you over in the project area. If you've got any questions, please come on into a community. I'm always active in all of the community. 6. The Ultimate Class Project Your Fingers Don't Want to Miss: the ultimate class project that your fingers don't want to miss. Why did I add the word fingers into my headline? Whoa, when I was on share through typing in my headline, I didn't have the word fingers, but they suggested that I add a body part to my head. Nine. When I did, my score jumped to 75. However, on co schedule, my score dropped to 67. Did you notice in the last lesson, if you looked at the title you'll see in parentheses like Madison Avenue again Co. Co scheduled dropped my score below 70 when they added, I didn't, but I added in like Madison Avenue, because it was a great suggestion. I thought from share through share food jumped my score to 77. Play around with these tools, but when you do, I encourage you to lead the suggestions that they give you part of this class project is any time you're able to get above 50 on any of these tools enough for you to come and celebrate and share in the class project in each time you get better incrementally, come back and share again because what you'll notice is you'll start at 50 and if you're reading this suggestions, you'll jump to 60 70 and then you'll be up there with some of the best copywriters. Our goal is to always help you grow in skill, your business here, with all of our scale share classes. I'll be back again next week with a new class. If you have any questions, please jump into community and I can't wait to see your project. Take care and I'll see in the next class.
