1. The Benefits of Productivity: Productivity is cake. Productivity is the measure of efficiency. There are many ways to maximize your productivity to lead to more successful workflow and outcome. Every workday is different. The variations between our work days are becoming more noticeable as the number of workers who adhere to a standard nine to five schedule continues to decline. Despite these distinctions, there are three themes common. Making little adjustments to your routine might have a significant impact on your output over time. Start with only one suggestion and build up from there as you learn what works best for you. The second is to take responsibility. Sometimes it helps to have someone else to answer to, whether it's a weekly check-in with a coworker or your own deadlines that you announced to others. The third is to remember that your human recognize that it's normal to make mistakes, lose focus, and have a terrible day every once in a while is better to forget the past and move on. In this class, I have compiled everything I have learned that is transformed my life. I have read article after article, book after book. And we're going to go through the most useful as well as any cheeky tools I have found along the way. I'll come up, your life is about to get more productive. 2. Prioritising is KEY: Time and time again, you'll find yourself in a position where you need to do many high-priority tasks simultaneously or in a very compressed time-frame. Prioritizing the tasks and placing them in order of most important to least important is vital. If you don't prioritize your to-do list is time that you started. Here are five strategies that may be used to prioritize work. One, don't fall for the attraction of to-do lists to set priorities, all you need to do is be aware of the many chores that must be completed and set them in order of importance. In order to prioritize projects, look at them from two perspectives, importance and urgency. The most pressing matters should be addressed first, followed by the least pressing, and everything else should be placed somewhere in-between. This is good, but it might lead to a false feeling of accomplishment. For example, asking if I finish everything on my list, will I have done my finest job today. You'd spend time every day refining the list as you went along and would never get it right. To give your whole attention to the topics that will encourage expansion when running a business so you actual job, it's easy to become overwhelmed by the seemingly endless list of things that may be done to make things better. However, just two of those things have the ability to increase your success by orders of magnitude. If you can keep your mind on just a few things, you'll be okay. Tasks are not the most useful conceptual tool and prioritizing, rather, themes are more useful. Which two or three factors are most important for growth? If any action that does not directly affect these factors, it's not worth putting much time into. Quick tip for when you have your list. Once you have prioritized it, say you have ten items, cross off the last five. In reality, you don't have enough time to get to them. If you do, You haven't executed the first vibe to the best of your ability. Remember there at the top of your priority list for a reason. Don't worry about being flawless. Humans tend to be ambitious perfectionist. We find it difficult to accept anything less than perfection. But if you want to be effective at prioritizing, you need to be able to abandon a project in the middle of the process in favor of one with a higher return on investment, aka time. While it goes against common sense, striving for perfection might actually hold you back when you're trying to get work done. In order to get more done with a better probability of good outcomes, you need to be prepared to do things halfway. This is a challenge even for top achievers. Take care of the most challenging tasks. Procrastination is not a kind of laziness, but rather a form of avoidance. And it is human nature to put off doing tasks that we dread. Goldman Sachs CEO has been quoted as saying, The first thing I do every day is the thing I hate the most, do the things that he despised him first. So you can get them out of the way, free up mental and physical resources you'll need later. If your boat is leaking, don't try and fix it by patching the holes. You may wish you had more hands and feet if you spend your time spreading them out over the deck in an effort to stop leaks that you have sprung in your company time, personal life, the bot itself may actually be the source of the issue. Decisions on what to prioritize always need to be made. Assuming everything is okay, something will always seem to be on fire. There was a major warning sign if you feel like you have everything under control. This indicates that you are focusing on the most pressing matters. Key takeaways from this lesson, we often face situations where we've got a lot of high priority activities at once in a short amount of time. Salt the jobs from least important to most important. Remember, if your boat is leaking, don't attempt to repair it by patching the holes. It's our tendency to put off completing chores that we fear. Remember the CEO quote, the first thing I do every day is the thing I despise, the most. 3. Effective Time Management Hacks : Have you ever noticed that some people appeared to be able to fit everything they want incest schedules, whilst others seem to be constantly juggling competing priorities. It's not possible that some people are just less busy than others. They are probably making better use of their time demonstrates an excellent time management. In this lesson, we're going to be going over time management hacks. The capacity to manage your time effectively and efficiently is known as time management. One definition is the ability to accomplish your goals without feeling rushed. It may seem easy on paper, but putting it into action is another story. The basics of effective time management are outlined here. Time management is the art of getting the most out of the time that you have. But what happens when you maximize your efficiency and productivity yet still fall short of your goals. It may be best to look at it by management as a combination of working effectively and allocating your time. Once you've written out your priority list, find out how you'll handle things. Whether that's by doing them by herself or handing them off to somebody else. Oh, and stick to your plan. Don't take on yourself the urgent but less critical chose, instead, assign them to someone else. Kickoff your to-do list right now. Get on with the next item in the agenda. Once you've finished, what should you do if a crucial task and keeps getting pushed down the priority list in favor of less pressing but equally vital commitments. First, you need to decide how crucial it is. Do you need to do it? Or you just convincing yourself that you should closer maybe an eyesore. And I saw some actual depression for some of us. Maintaining an orderly workstation and regularly updating your software will help you remain on top of things. One must know, tidying, hint. You should start your belongings into three categories. Keep, give away and throw away. Do something useful with it, or keep it if you need to keep it for later on, get rid of anything that is no use to you or anyone else. Go with the flow. We all have optimal work periods and those time tend to be very consistent. Tasks that are more challenging should be scheduled during those periods. However, you should also include in time for tasks that have to be done at specific intervals, such as meetings, visits to places like the bank or the post office. If you find yourself with ten minutes to kill in-between meetings, it might be helpful to have a list of non-urgent, yet essential activities ready to be completed. For example, this might be the perfect moment, the send that email confirming your upcoming holiday. One tip, take advantage of time management software. Paper diaries and to-do lists are still used by some, and that's completely okay. However, if you want to rely on technological aids, there are currently several options for doing so. You can organize your time and set up appointments with the aid of apps like Calendly, Microsoft Bookings and Google Calendar. I have an episode later that shows my solutions to this. Don't put things off without first investigating why you want to get things done immediately if they are truly time-sensitive and crucial. If it can be done within five-minutes, the trick is just to do it without even thinking about it. The more time you have to think about something, the chances are it'll end up at the bottom of your to-do list. Keep calm and keep things in perspective. Perhaps the most essential thing to remember is to keep calm. Too much to do might make you feel stressed. Don't worry too much. If you don't do your final task of the day. If you prioritize well, the world won't end. If you put it off until tomorrow. It may be preferable to rest up for the next day by going home. I'll turn it in early rather than rushing to fulfill a deadline that might not even be important. If you stop for a second and re-evaluate your situation, you could discover your viewpoint has shifted significantly. Key takeaways from this lesson. Learning how to effectively manage your time is crucial since none of us have enough of it to do all that we need to do. The key to effectively managing your time on tasks is to differentiate between what is urgent and what is not. If you put something off that seems urgent but isn't very critical, you could discover that you no longer need to do it. Don't worry too much. If you don't do your final task of the day, the world won't end if you put it off until tomorrow. 4. How to Minimise Distractions: Minimize distractions. There are several opportunities in life to fritter away hours. We may maximize our productivity and improve our chances of success by eliminating as many sources of distraction as possible from our daily lives. In this class, we're going to be going through some of the helpful ways. You can minimize distractions. If you're in a rush, I need to get things done. You may find the following list helpful, but don't limit its use just to the office implemented in your daily life. Utilizing even a few of these basic tips can help you get more done in less time and improve your efficiency. Calls. Don't disturb others around you by talking on the phone. Unmute whilst you're working. Pop miss coals straight to voicemail and schedule certain times to check it. Set aside time throughout the day to take Coles and then let people know when that is. If you stand up as you talk on the phone, studies suggest that this makes individuals more efficient. Act quickly, even if it involves writing things down on a to-do list, on any commitments made during a phone call. Keep a list of frequently called numbers nearby or program them into your phones, address book. This will eliminate a lot of time wasted searching for numbers. Email, limit yourself to a few daily e-mail checks. Remember to log out of your email client after you have finished using it. The constant pinging of your inbox may be quite annoying. Wasteful of time seems as you're going to be checking it once you get to know the vacation. Conveniently organized and file emails with the aid of predefined folders and roles you create in your email client. Remove any unwanted messages from your inbox. Immediately. Don't hesitate to delete any messages that are not urgent. For example, generic emails that don't concern you personally go into this category. Forward emails to someone who can offer a better answer. If applicable. You may not hold the answers to something rather than waste your time playing Chinese whispers. Just hand it off to them to make the most efficient use of your time. Read and answer to each relevant email just once, and do so within a timeframe allotted for that task. Delete the e-mail once you're done with it. Remember, not all emails labeled urgent or high-priority, really? Well, not to you anyway. Meetings only attend meetings that are relevant to you is essential to hold this meeting. And what will it be accomplished by having it aimed to appear on time for meetings neither early or late. You should prepare for the meeting by learning it's objective and renewing its agenda in advance. Agree in advance how long meetings will go on for. This is a lifesaver. Start and conclude. The meeting on time at timed agenda is a very useful key takeaways. From this lesson. We may maximize our productivity by eliminating as many sources of distraction as possible. Read process, reactive, or take actions on messages. As soon as they've become feasible. 5. Getting Rid of Digital Distractions: Digital organization. Get that digital clutter under control. Imagine getting on your computer in the morning and desire in a clean desktop. Start the day with just you and a clean backdrop instead of Pilate papers and stickies and documents on your desktop. To be fair, however, it is not impossible. Use a cloud-based service such as Dropbox or Google Drive to store your files so that you can access them from any computer or any mobile device. Google Docs and Dropbox both have version control of documents. So you can see older iterations of those documents. Keeping your computer tidy, not only frees up mental space, but also makes it easier to locate certain files. I've been able to locate things in their appropriate directories, which has saved me a ton of time. Instead of making things from scratch, are looking them up online. I know exactly where they're stored. Make sure your files are organized. I use an app called folders Heidi on macOS, and this saves me loads of time, and it does it all for you. It's also a good idea to pay attention to the emails you get daily, as well as those you actually open, unsubscribe from the ones that you don't actually find useful. You can use a bulk unsubscribe tool in a single operation to unsubscribe from those mass emails out your browser's clutter. The key to living without digital clutter is finding out how to efficiently absorb the digital information that you've bombarded with on a daily basis. These are all wonderful beginning steps. But there's something even more important, knowing when to turn it all off. There's some evidence that blue light from electronic devices may interfere with the brain's production of melatonin, leading to less restful sleep. Key takeaways from this lesson. Use a cloud-based service such as Dropbox to store your files online so that you can easily access them from any computer or mobile device. Organize your inbox as new messages arrive by filing them away in relevant folders, remember to disconnect from all electronic devices before going to bed to get them more restful sleep. Most leap equals more energy and ultimately, more productivity. 6. Gain 2 hours back EVERYDAY: Using AI to manage your day, artificial intelligence isn't coming. It's already here. Ai already touches our lives on a daily basis, believe it or not. By 2030, studies expert panel anticipates that AI will be widely used in fields such as elderly care, education, and public safety. And increasing emphasis in artificial intelligence is being placed on developing systems that can work in tandem with humans. In this class, we're going to be discovering the power of using artificial intelligence and the effects that it can have on your life. I, productivity. By taking advantage of many time-saving opportunities it presents, we can be more productive. One of the most wonderful things about AI is that it can learn about you as you go. One of the most undervalued things about it is that it may also help you learn more about yourself as you try and reach your objectives. In other words, it allows you to be more efficient in your job. I use an AI tool called motion to organize all of my calendars and life. What he's motion. Motion creates a schedule using a smart one-of-a-kind algorithm. All automatically. You just input your tasks and off you go. The system prioritizes work that is most essential to you. It also gives you a bit of peace of mind, knowing that motion is keeping tabs on everything for you. The program guarantees that nothing falls between the gaps. Meetings are also handled through the smart calendar, your tasks, the list of things that you need to get done, your activities, and produces one precise, optimal timetable to get it all done, including scheduling breaks within your day. Key takeaways from this lesson. By 2030, ai will be widely used in fields such as elderly care, education, and public safety. Ai already impacts our lives on a daily basis. One of the best things about AI is that it learns about you as you go and effectively makes you learn more about yourself. This helps you work smarter and meet your end goals. 7. How to Change Your Mind: I am a really disorganized person. Just ask my parents who used to keep a laundry basket outside my room, hold all of the things I hadn't put away. For the sake of my sanity. I'm always on the outlook for simple and I mean, simple methods of maintaining order. I'm going to show you the strategies that have helped me. Here are some tips to help you clean up your act. Makes sure everything that you own possesses a home. I have a designated shelf that I keep all my snacks on in the office, gets organized and find a home for everything that you own. Make the chore of cleaning and more enjoyable task by treating it like a game. For instance, how quickly can you organize your room? But you can't put all of these clean laundry away in five-minutes. Really. Watch me talking at belongings. It's time to get rid of some of them. Purge through your belongings roughly once a month and yeah, that often. And donate your outgrown clothes and other objects instead of letting them pilot in a drop, saying, but I could need it someday, is no defense against clutter. Despite its sentimental value. Your high-school t-shirt of the thank-you card from work out needs to be kept. Your personal mementos limited to one box at home and one folder at the office. This is what it means. Speed more organizing your life. To ease the emotional toll of purging your beloved possessions. Consider rewarding yourself for each item that you sell or donate. A tradition of mine to reward myself with a new tree whenever I get rid of a lot of stuff, like when I clean up my desk, I have from buying a new lamp or an iPad holder. It's okay to be afraid. Constantly reminding you of your responsibilities is crucial. I use an artificial intelligence program called motion to schedule each day's activities. This will be covered in greater depth in a different lesson. The need for a shift in perspective. Experiencing losses in life lessons that impacts, in my experience, the ability to let go of the things that serve no practical use, but nonetheless retains sentimental value, has made me more adaptable. To be honest, I really despise doing housework, preparing meals, and cleaning because I don't feel like my efforts are being put to good use in the here and now. One thing that has helped me is shifting my perspective on the so-called chores in life. It's no longer I have to do this, but rather I get to do this. In my mind. Gratitude can make even the most mundane jobs more manageable, such as cleaning the car or doing the laundry. You remember how fortunate you are. Just takes a little moment to reflect on your life and realize it could be a lot worse. Because I'm a real life on tidy person. I can attest to the fact that the effort is well-worth it in the end. Key takeaways from this lesson, donate your outgrowing clothing instead of letting it pile up in a drawer. When the clutter piles up, it's tempting to feel helpless. But remember that a lag of perfection is also okay. To ease the emotional toll of purging your beloved belongings. Consider rewarding yourself for each item you sell or donate. The ability to let go of things that serve no practical use but retains sentimental value, has maybe more adaptable. 8. Productivity Hacks - That Actually Work: Productivity hacks that have changed my life. Everyone wishes that they have more time so that they could do more in their lives. But the fact remains that every one of us has the exact same number of hours in a day. Some people seem to be able to get more done in less time than others. Here are a few tricks that I have learned and implemented into my life that have made me more productive. Use Sunday evening for organizing the week. Learn to say no. Focus solely on the thing that you're seeking to achieve. Gets a cleaner and quit wasting your valuable hours on this work each week. Your time is worth a lot more. Turn off your email notifications on your phone. Use a basic to-do list and just put three to five items on it that you want to achieve each day. Organize your day so that you spend most of your time on tasks that matter the most, not the ones that matter the least. When you finish your task, you should always know what task you're going to do next. Don't forget to give yourself a decent tend to 20-minute break every two hours to do some push ups, downs, whatever, and just get some fresh air. Brakes are important. Ask yourself, is what I'm doing right now, bringing me closer to what I want to accomplish. Yet clear about your end goal. After all, if you don't have a goal, you can't skull. Keep your energy up by listening to cheerful music whilst you work. Make use of a notebook to jot down random thoughts and ideas. A week later, you might go over it and actually see and salvage really good plan. Document your accomplishments in some form, whether it's a notepad or an online diary, quit putting things off and just get started. Disconnect from the Internet. If you need to get some writing or creative work done, choose a coffee shop that doesn't have internet. Avoid the word should and replace it with Shell in a sentence. Don't pick up the phone. Literally, they will leave a message if it's urgent. Key takeaways from this lesson. These are methods that you've put into practice will allow you to get back precious hours of your day. Use a basic to-do list and just put three to five items on it to be done each day. Organize your day so that you spend most of it doing the tasks that matter the most to you. 9. Circadian Rhythms - Know your Body: Circadian rhythms, circadian rhythms of physical, mental, and behavioral changes that follow a 24 hour cycle. These natural processes respond primarily to light and dark and effect most living things, such as animals, plants, and microbes. Now, you're probably wondering why I brought this topic up. In order to work more efficiently, we need to understand how our own body works. It's almost like body hacking. But if you have a true understanding to why you typically find it hard to do your best work. At 09:00 AM, you need to connect and listen to your own body. Circadian rhythms can influence important functions in our bodies, such as hormone release, eating habits, and digestion. Body temperature. However, most people notice the effects of circadian rhythms on their sleep patterns. The circadian rhythm controls the production of melatonin is a hormone that makes you sleepy. It receives information about the incoming light from the optic nerves in your eyes, which relay information from the eyes to the brain when there's less light. For example, the circadian rhythm tells the brain that it needs to make more melatonin and as a result, you get more drowsy. What factors can change circadian rhythms? Changes in our body and the environmental factors can cause our circadian rhythms to change and natural dark light cycle to be out-of-sync. For example, mutations or changes in certain genes can affect our biological clocks, jet lag or shift work. Of course, these changes in the dark light cycle. Light from electronic devices at night can confuse our biological clocks. These changes can cause sleep disorders and may lead to other chronic health conditions such as obesity, diabetes, depression, bipolar disorder, and seasonal affective disorder. Once you understand that, ironically, the world does revolve around you, it's time to change the way that you work. Watch the next class where I'll go into more depth about connecting with your body. 10. 10: In this class, what carrying on the conversation of being in tune with our own bodies. As we've covered circadian rhythms in this class, we're going to go through what a Kronos type is. Chromo type is the natural inclination of your body to sleep at a certain time, or what most people understand as being an early bird versus a night owl. In addition to regulating sleep and wake time, genotype has an influence on appetite, exercise and cold body temperature. Appetite exercise and cold body temperature. It is responsible for the fact that you feel more alert at certain periods of the day and sleep at others. So chromo type versus circadian rhythm. Sleep chromo type is closely related to circadian rhythms, which controls the day-to-day sleep-wake cycle, releases melatonin in response to environmental cues such as light and temperature. Circadian rhythm can be trained by adhering to a strict schedule. The underlining prototype exists on a more permanent basis. Types of genotypes, say type one small right there you, there are four types of coronal types. Lion, the lion krona type stands in for the early bird. These individuals wake up early and are most productive in the morning, but may have more trouble following a social schedule in the evenings. The bear, the bear coronal type makes up about 55 per cent of the population. People with this intermediate coronal type tend to follow the sun. They do well with traditional office hours, but also have no problem maintaining a social life in the evenings, they often have a 3PM slump in the afternoons. Wolf, The wolf is the coronal type equivalent, the classic night owl. And it's believed to make up approximately 15% of the population. Dolphin, the dolphin coronal type is based on the ability of real dolphins to stay alert even while sleeping. Human dolphins are best described as insomniacs. So a night owl may be able to wake up at 07:00 AM every day for work, but they may not be productive and tall later on in the day. Alternatively, an early bird may wake up bright and chirp here for their seven AM shift, but then start to feel sleepy already in the late afternoon. Scientists consider it very difficult or impossible to purposely change your coronal type, though it may shift throughout the course of your life. What determines your coronal type? Coronal type can vary from person to person, dependent on genetics, age, and other factors. Some scientists believed that coronal type may differ according to geographical location due to changes in daylight hours is a general rule. Most children have an early chromo type. Beginning in adolescents, coronal type is pushed back, leading to the myth that teenagers are lazy because they find it difficult to wake up for school. Phenotypes then gradually shifts earlier and earlier, starting from the age of 20. Whilst most coronal types fall within a reasonable range, total possible range of bedtimes stretches as long as ten hours between extreme mourning types and extreme evening types. While these types can give you a general idea of your ideal schedule, there will always be variations from person to person. Having a better understanding of how you are wired may help improve your sleep. There are a few books that go into deeper detail about genotypes and I really recommend that you find some time to get familiar with how your body works. More essentially, how you can plan out your day to maximize your time and impact.
