1. Video AI course: Hi, my name is Michelle. I'm an AI generated Avatar. The goal of this course is to teach you the skills to allow you to generate an AI video like this. Plus exposure to more forms of AI. This course is for content creators and anyone that wants to get a head start on this exciting new technology. We will learn the basics like setting up your template, avatar, background, scripting, music and publishing a video. In addition, you will also learn about other forms of AI, like image generation, AI effects, and chat GPT. So I hope you enjoyed that introduction from my AI avatar, Michelle. But I thought it would be important to actually humans speak in front of the camera before beginning the course, I thought this would be a good demonstration of what's possible with the video AI generator. And my goal for you is to have you create your own AI, generated a video on this platform. So thanks for joining the course. We're going to learn a lot as well as giving you exposure to other forms of AI on various platforms. So let's begin. 2. Video Ai Overview HD: Alright, The first step to get started creating your own AI videos is to login Cynthia dot io. I'll drop a link in the video, as well as in texts, so it's easy for you to hop on there. So Cynthia is a UK based company and it allows you to do a free trial, but if you want to get the most out of it, you'll have to do the pay plan. So it's 30 us. And they start you off with ten credits. And it works out to be about 1 min worth of video for each credits. So you can do about 10 min worth of videos. So you can break that up into several videos or one longer video. When we hop onto the computer, what we're gonna do is we're going to start off by creating a video. We can select the Templates. So template is basically like a PowerPoint slide. So you will have multiple slides and each slide represents could be particular piece of the video. And you can transition over to the next slide if you want to change a background change of scenery. Now from the templates that are already there, you've got different themes. So you've got ones for sales, for promotion, more educational, a whole lot more. And then we're going to jump into the details in the templates. So things like choosing your music, choosing footage or photos, or different avatars. Like you met with my avatar in the course. And then we're going to end up finishing the course, generating your own video. You're going to download it and publish it. And I'm actually going to show you how you can use that finished video in a video editing program if you want to do further alterations to it and add additional texts or music or whatnot. So that is the overview of the course. So the next step is we're going to hop onto the computer. 3. Synthesia tour: Hi everyone, Welcome to Cynthia dot IoT platform we're going to use to create REI videos. So let me give you a quick tour around. In the top right, you can see here we have the option to create a brand new video. Or if you have a PowerPoint, you can import that. We have our templates on the top there that we can select between them. We can also look at our recent videos on the bottom here in list form or in a tile form. Moving over to the left, we've got our home screen. We can always press that to come back to the screen. We can go to videos. So over here we can just see our existing videos and we can search for different videos. There's different filters. You can even create folders. And we got the new video option, which we'll dive into in another video. We've also got the trash. If you have items that you want to delete and you haven't emptied the trash. And here we have our templates, which are pretty much what they say. They come with predefined avatars and a certain look and feel that you can just double-click into. You can preview it, and you can create a video straight from there. The avatar suction. You can take a look at the different avatars here. And you can even create a video straight from this view. From the avatar view. Then at the bottom left, we have some news what is new with the platform? There's some learning available at the Academy. You've got help, and then you have your specific account. So that is our general tour of synesthesia dot io. So the next step is we're actually going to go ahead and create a new video from a templates. And then I'm going to walk you through creating a video, downloading it. So let's get straight to it. 4. Creating a Video synthesia: Okay, so we're on the home screen. So if you want to create a brand new video, you can simply click Create new video on the top right. You'll see this in several different areas. So if we click new video, we have the option of going through one of the many templates here. And if we want to use the templates, we can simply click, click, Use Template. If we've built up templates over time, we can actually save our own templates and they'll get populated in our library. So from here we can also use this template. So e.g. if I take time and I have a specific show and I want a particular look and feel and an avatar. I can create a particular template for that, which I have done. And I'll just show you that. And it just makes it easy. If you want to do a regular series, you can just update the script, maybe the title, and then you keep everything the same. So that is a way to do a video from your library. So if you wanted to create a brand new video, Let's just click on new video. Select blank. And we have nothing to begin with. So we have to select our avatar. And they're adding new avatar is all the time. So we can simply click on our avatar there. We can even resize it. And so that's our first choice. Now, if you're practicing or you want to preview what your avatar says, it won't actually move the lips or animate until they actually generate the video. So I just wanted to point that out. So that's avatar. We've also got our titles. So simply just click title and you can double-click just to bring it on the screen. Here we have different shapes. Maybe you want to point something out. So this is very similar to PowerPoint. You can rotate the arrows here. If you want to add an image, you can overhear, you can upload your own image and by clicking on the Upload Media button, There's also a decent library of stock content that you can pull from. So let's just say you're doing a stock update. You can search for stock. And you can simply bring that on to your screen right there. Okay, we can actually select the Record button to share contents of our screen. So I've just done about 10 s. I'm just going to take a look at the Bitcoin charts. Over here. We'll click Stop. Okay, so here is the screen recording that I just took. And I'm just going to trim it a little bit. You can see in the preview that this is going to make it the background so we can just click Trim. And there we go. We've got another background that we can use in our video. So that's a quick way of getting some contents. So we also have the option of allowing music by enabling the music option in the right side. And there's a good selection of music. Now the one thing I haven't been able to do is to adjust the volume of the music. So you can click add there, or you can upload your own music track. And you have the option to loop it or match the script. So it'll automatically speed up or slow down the video so it matches the script. Okay, So the key area here is the script. Here you basically type it or you can copy and paste. Just do simple sentence. And we can choose the language and the accents. So let's just try a British warm accent. There's also Australian, but let's just start with a British accent and we'll press play. I'll just make sure that it's playing through the speakers so you can here. Alright, so you can actually change the accent over here. And you can experiments. There's a wide range of choices here. I'm just going to leave it on British English. And we actually have the option to add gestures so we can add a nod. And you can choose when you want to place that gesture in the script. So let's just say we want to have her NADH. And then she's going to wink after. She says Welcome. And you can actually In a pause and select the duration of the pause. And if there's a word that is hard to pronounce, it doesn't actually pronounced that correctly the first time. You can actually give it, give it some help. So let me think of a word, Tesla. So if it's not pronouncing correctly, you can highlight the word click dictation and then actually just spell out how exactly how it sounds. And that is how you can fix dictation. Okay, So this is just the basic sentence. So the dictation won't work on this and the gestures won't show until you actually generate it. But I think you've seen there how we can just create our very first video from scratch. In the next lesson, we're gonna go through creating a video from me, templates. 5. Downloading Your AI Video & Creating a Template: Alright, so now that you've finished your video, the next step is to generate it. So for a minute video you're going to wait about five to 10 min to generate the video. You'll then get a video, then you can preview, you can download, and you can share. So when you download it, it's going to give you an MP4 file. And you can pretty much just take that file and upload it. You have an option to create captions baked into the video, which I think is very helpful because some people just don't get the full message sometimes unless there's actual texts on top overlaid on top of the video. So that is another option. So I'm going to demo to you how you can use the video that's this platform produces for you into a video editor like Final Cut Pro or Premier Pro to make further alterations to it. Maybe you want to extend the video, maybe you want to add to that video, or maybe you want to do additional effects that you just can't do from the platform because it does have some limitations. So we're going to jump into Final Cut Pro for Mac users and Premier Pro for Mac or Windows users to see how you can further enhance your AI generated video. Hey, and welcome back. So this is a video that has already been generated and it's ready to download. If you want to enable sharing, you can check the box. And if you click Yes, you have a shareable link. You can also enable, allowing duplicates, which might be helpful if you want to modify an existing video. You can export the captions. Let's just say you didn't get the captions baked in. You can just download the captions and an SRT file if you want to bring them in, let's just say onto YouTube or your video editor. Now you can just download it as a regular MP4 file. By default, it creates a full HD 1920 by 1080 resolution video for you. You also have the options to remove it. If you had issues with pronounciation or pauses, you can click here. And if you want to view the scripts, you can do so here. So this was a multi slide video and you also have the option to place a call to action here. Let's just say you want to share the video and you want to click a button or someone to do something after they watched the video. This is a fully generated video. So you can see the movement and her lips and her gestures. Now, one thing you may want to do for the future, especially if you've spent a lot of time creating a video, is you can create a template with it. So I'm going to click the Create Template button. And now I've got a template for this type of crypto and tech update video in the future. So let's just say font and do an update for this week. I would just simply swap out the dates and I can just update the script. This is a multi seen videos, so it's got six slides. I'll just take you through them. This actually took some time to create, so it's great that I'm able to create a template out of it. So the last screen, this is a call to action. This is something that you may want to do if you have a YouTube video and you know that, that's always going to stay the same. So it's just a great time-saver. So now that you have the templates, you can publish it, right? And now you can create videos from this template, just like we did with the others. So it'll be under templates on the left-hand side under my templates. So there we go. So we can create a future video from that template. And that will not modify the original templates and we can create additional scenes. And then from these scenes we can even select particular slides and modify them. So there we go. That's how we can download a video and the different options we have after the video is generated. And we've also covered creating your own template from your video. So that concludes the bulk of creating your video on synesthesia. Hope you found this really helpful and feel free to ask any questions in the course. 6. How to Produce AI video in other languages that speak Fluently: Hey everyone, Greg Kong here in this video, we're going to explore the language ability of synesthesia. So currently, actually can't get your English to another language translated in synesthesia. But I'm going to show you my workflow for stole managing to get your video in another language other than your native language. So I'm gonna assume you're an English speaker because this course is in English. And I'm going to show you how I get Chinese and Spanish into my videos. So I'm just going to demonstrate the very first slide. This is in Spanish. Alright, so if you're looking over here in the script window, the bottom, you can see that I already have the Spanish over here and the drop-down is set to Spanish natural. So the cool thing is that you can type in Spanish and there's other variations of Spanish. We have the Mexican accent, we have the Argentinian accent, even American Spanish, which is amazing. Let's just try the North American Spanish. Let's hear how that sounds. So I just wanted to point that feature out. Spanish is not just Spanish. You have so many other variations. And you can see the description here. Natural Mexican, Spanish voice fit for most types of content. And you've even got Latin American, Spanish female voice. And if we scroll down further, you can just see how many other flavors of Spanish there are. This is one from Uruguay. And you have this checkbox to apply the new voice who all female avatars. So I'm just going to uncheck that. So that is an example of the different variations of a language. But I'm going to show you how did I actually translate that because I'm not fluent in Spanish, so we go to Google Translate. Actually have the Spanish here, originally typed it in English. Copy this Spanish to English. Okay, so we're going to type in the Spanish. Hello, my name is Michelle. I'm an AI January generated Avatar. The goal of this course is to teach you the skills to generate an AI video like this. So I use Google Translate to get the the foreign language and then you copy this and then you paste it into synesthesia. And it's smart enough to recognize and pronounce that. So I want to give you another example. We're gonna go to the second slide. So we are Charlotte here speaking Mandarin Chinese, saying the same thing. Let's take a listen. Alright, so that was the Mandarin Chinese Traditional. And you see here there's, there's a whole lot of other accents as well. If you type in Chinese, there's two different main dialects, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese. So this was in Mandarin Chinese. So we have the Taiwanese accent. And we also have the Mainland China accents which is different. You'll know if you speak Chinese or I've lived in Taiwan for a length of time, you'll be able to distinguish it. The cool thing is that in synesthesia, you have these variety of accents to make it as authentic to the region that you're planning to have this video viewed. So even with Chinese, synesthesia is smart enough to recognize the Chinese characters. So you can see here, if I pace the Mandarin Chinese, it's going to translate exactly to our original message. So that's how we can use synesthesia too. Speak in foreign languages. And in the future they may incorporate the translation functionality. But right now, this is how I'm getting the avatars to speak other languages. And there's a lot of other options here. I think this is pretty, pretty good. If you want to have a video in multiple languages and change the accents to make it as authentic as possible for that specific region. 7. How to use Synthesia with Final Cut : Hey everyone, Welcome to this video we're gonna be covering Final Cut Pro, the professional video editing program for a Mac. And I must stress this program is only available for Mac. And it's a really good program. It's different from Adobe Premiere in that it's a onetime lifetime purchase you can get from the Apple Store. And premiere Pro, which I've covered in another lesson is available for Windows and for Mac. So in this video, you're going to get an idea of how you can improve the production value of a video created in synesthesia but in Final Cut. So if we actually go to our video here, we've just created a quick project. And I brought in this video that was created and Cynthia, but we have the option because we are now in the video editing program to we can apply effects. So you can see here I have comic book effect. I'm not gonna go into a step-by-step in Final Cut Pro because this is not a Final Cut Pro course, but this is one of the additional things you can do. You can apply effects, you can actually color graded. So if we take our video here, we can adjust the color. And these types of options are just not available. In synesthesia is very basic what you can do there. So in this final Cut Pro video, we have different layers. We can add a title. And if you have a subscription to a stock footage library like story blocks or artless or Shutterstock. You can layer on B-roll just like I have here on top of yours Cynthia video, depending on what the topic is, e.g. if this was a cryptocurrency updates, I could start off the video like this. And then it cuts to the cynthia talking head video. So it just looks more professional. And you can add on your own title here to say updates. And then you can more time on that with different styles. And you can see on the bottom layer here, I've got a music tracks, so you have the option to adjust the volume of the music which I haven't seen and Cynthia, when this course was produced at the beginning of 2023. But that may change the option to put lower thirds titles in Final Cut, which is useful for your viewer. These types of things are important to add professionalism to the overall video. You can even fade outs. Do transitions. Apply this over there. You can see at the end of the video fades out. I can do a call to action like, likes a scribe, which you just can't do in synesthesia. So after you've done all this in Final Cut Pro, you have the option to export the video. You can choose different formats. So Final Cut Pro produces a dot MOV file, which is a little bit different than mp4, but you can publish to most platforms on either MP4 or MOV. Over here is YouTube, so you can upload your finished video over here. And this is what it will look like. You would give it a title, can fill in the description, a thumbnail, some tags. If you are a YouTube partner, it can actually monetize on your Cynthia videos. So I think this is more of a realistic scenario. If you were using synesthesia to do investment market updates, you would definitely want to have video editing program to do these additional things on top of the video that you generated. So hopefully this was helpful to you to see additional possibilities to improve the production value of your synesthesia AI video in Final Cut Pro. 8. How to use Synthesia with Premiere Pro: Hey everyone, That's Greg here. And we are in a video editing program called Adobe Premiere Pro. This is one of the most popular video editing programs, a professional video editing program that you have to subscribe for it as a paid service. And I just want to let you know there's a lot of other choices if you want to do video edits. But the reason why we're going through this is I was going to share how you can take a video generated from synesthesia and you can add production value to it by adding intros, music, that type of thing, et cetera. So in another lesson we'll cover Final Cut Pro, which is mainly for Mac computers. But Premiere Pro can be used on Windows or max. I like to use both. Some other programs you want to consider. There is the free program for Max called iMovie. And for Windows you have, windows, actually has a free video editor. There's Adobe Rush. But I'm going to cover premiere Pro because it is the professional program. So this isn't a editing course, so I'm going to give you an overview and I'll show you a finished video to just to show you the potential here. In Premier Pro, we have to start off by bringing in a file. So I actually have the file that I downloaded from synesthesia. And this is the one that was actually demonstrating how the AI can speak in different languages. So let's just say I wanted to post this to a YouTube video. I can simply right-click and that's creating new project, which is called the sequence. And from here, I can do things like add an introduction. If you go to essential graphics, I'll show you, you can bring this on top here. So these types of options aren't really available. And Cynthia, you get some basic options for titles. But if you want to take it to the next level, you can actually bring it into Premiere Pro and you can subscribe to stock footage libraries. So I actually have a subscription to story blocks. So what that does is it gives me access to a whole range of libraries. And I'm going to show an example here. Let's just say I wanted to find footage of AI so I can simply search for AI. It's like pretty edge. And I can download this straight into my video editor and I can bring that into the project. Let's just say I want to bring this clip here. I can do that as well. And I can also bring music. So this feature is what we call a plugin to store a block. So this is another paid service, but you can just see the additional production value that you can add on top of a Cynthia video with all these elements. And this is pretty close to my workflow. I use Premiere Pro and when I'm making a YouTube video and doing some of my financial and crypto market updates. I'll use my templates, I'll update it, and then I'll add music and stock footage. Here. I can actually download an MP3 or WAV file directly into my project. And I can do sound effects, footage, photos, and a whole lot more. So I can bring these clips on a layer that's above, so it shows above the cynthia video. But I can also then cut to my actual Cynthia video and it's got the audio that was created in Cynthia. And then I can bring some music in there. And of course, you want to make the music quieter so that you can ask, your audience can hear it. So synesthesia, as I mentioned, at the time I produced this course, there wasn't an option to adjust the music while Premiere Pro allows you to do that. And so yeah, you can customize your video with titles, music, stock footage, and then you can actually export the video so you can import the MP4 that it generates. And I'll just quickly show you a finished video just as an example of what my video products look like in Premier Pro. So here's one of the lessons for the course. So you can see I've got several layers here. I've got some lower, lower thirds titles, I've got some graphics, and I've trimmed the video. So those types of things you can't do in synesthesia. Once you've finished your video project, you have the option to export the media. So this will generate an MP4 by default, but you have a whole lot of other options to do it in QuickTime, which will create a dot MOV file. So it gives you a bit more flexibility to bring your original video project into Premier Pro. So the next thing I'll show you is if you do decide to upload a project to YouTube, what does that look like from behind the scenes on the dashboard? So here's actually my YouTube channel. And I'll just show you one of the videos that I've created with Cynthia that I brought over to a YouTube video. So you can see here, here's the structure of a published video. We've got our titles, description. You can put any links or any type of description you want to give to your video. And then you got a thumbnail, which is very important. You want to choose your playlists and answer some other questions, like what category it's in. You want to do tags. There's a lot of different fields that you need here. You can decide if you want to monetize it. And this is more than I can cover in just this one lesson, but they're just saw on YouTube. You can cover a whole course just on YouTube, but I just want to give you an idea of what is possible with your Cynthia video. So let's just say you wanted to upload, upload your video project that you created. So you will click Upload Video and then you would find the video file that you created with your video editor and then just simply upload and then fill in the fields that I showed you. So I hope you found this video insightful. And it gives you and idea of what you can do with your generated video. And Cynthia, after it's created. 9. Intro to Dalle 2 and Generative AI Art: Okay, so another form of AIG generation is called Dolly too. So this was also created by OpenAI behind jack chat GBT. This platform can create AI generated images so you can actually give it an existing images. It will give you variations, or you can just type in a description of what you want it to generate. And it's surprisingly really good and you can choose to create images or our work in a particular style, let's just say futuristic or maybe it's abstract art. So I've given it a try and we'll give a demo on the computer. But this type of artwork is becoming controversial because it can scrape the internet and it can use existing work from other artists. But there are copyright issues which are coming up as potential issues, but this technology is not going to go away. So as a creator, I'm going to show you how to use it. So we're going to jump in right now. There are other platforms that can do other types of content and abilities. Let's just say creating a landing page for your websites. There are platforms like mid journey that I just want to mention. I'm not going to cover them in depth here, but just wanted to mention that. So now we're going to jump Onto Dolly too. Hey everyone, I'm gonna give you an introduction to AI image generated art. The platform we're going to look at is called Dolly too. It was developed by OpenAI, who is also behind chat GBT. So we're looking at some robots that we've asked it to create. And the cool thing about Dolly too, is you can ask it to create the images just by describing it in the field here. Not only that, you can ask it to create the arts in a certain style, a particular art styles. So actually just googled different art styles in Japan. So we have the origami, we have the manga, which is more of the comic book style, the anime. And there's other styles that I'm actually going to be experienced experimenting with like or gummy. There's also block printing. So let's just take a step back. I want to show you the platform, Donnelly too. So I've just signed up for free using my Google account. Ironically, because they are competitors. But you're able to sign up with your Gmail account. So here is dolly to open ai.com. Four slash D, ALL dash, E dash to. Alright, so it's free to sign up and test this out. So we're on the dolly to site. So there's two options you have when you want to create art. You can upload a photo or you can use a text description. So you can see on the right side I've been experimenting with it with uploaded photos and also text descriptions. So we're going to try just type in robots and see what we get. I believe it's scraping the Internet for images and then it's just deciding based on how specific your typing in is going to give you back certain images. You can see that you have a certain number of credits. I have ten credits left. 15 credits will roll on a certain date, or I could buy more credits. Now, if we click in it and we want to actually buy the credits, so you can see 115 credits is $15 US. But let's just see how this works in more detail. You got 50 free credits on your first month. 15 credits will replenish every month after that. Free credits don't roll over to the next month. So I have ten credits left. Let's try make the most of it. Shall we? We already did a robot in manga style. Let's try do it in another form of Japanese art. It's called the wood block printing. Japanese wood block. So hopefully this will emulate the popular style. Very interesting. Okay. Let's do a forest. Let's do Tokyo. Okay, and then after this I'm going to upload a photo. So hopefully I've given you some ideas of high can really leverage this. Alright, so now I'm going to upload an existing photo. Now we're going to look at the different variations that we get. So I'm just going to search for Cosmo. Let's check this out. Okay, This group of friends on the boat. So we can click, Generate variations. So it would be interesting to see what we get from that group photo. Okay, so here's the original. We can enlarge it. So it's looks like it's warped. Some of the photos actually don't recognize any of the people on the photo here. So let's just created some completely new people. Alright, let's see if I can find another photo. Alright, so here we have a group photo with some friends from Mexico. Let's crop that. Wow, Okay, so it looks like it's just created some new characters. Hear me, made a more nerdy version of me. And it's made some scary looking characters, pretty interesting. Okay, that's the original. So two different examples of an upload. So let's just try to create some art in particular style of someone who's famous. So we have the famous NFT artists. And his name is Michael Winkleman. Elon Musk, those coin in an empty art style. I'm not sure if it's smart enough to recognize this. Let's just put a coin. Not sure if it's going to recognize Mike Winckelmann. He's actually the famous N of t artist. There we go. A Dogecoin and style of art. That's pretty cool. I'm going to download that. I five credits left. Superman and that seemed art style. Then we'll do Van Gogh. Was pretty cool. I like that. Okay, Let's try. Andy Warhol, wonder woman. Okay, That's definitely Andy Warhol, but I think it just took that as Woman. Wonder Woman. Okay, Very interesting. Okay. So yeah, that's how we can use W2 for image generation is pretty fun. Just I tried to experiment with uploading your own. Or it can generate images just from a text description and try to be creative. You can try different art styles. And you can download these images by clicking on them. And you can get further variations on variations. So I think I just used up my last credit right there. So hope you enjoyed this tutorial on Dolly too. 10. Intro to Chatgpt: Alright, so 2023 is getting underway. We're just approaching February and a program called GBT was released in November. It quickly accumulated over 1 million users faster than a company like Facebook. So you can see there's a lot of momentum with chat GBT three, which is the current version at the time of speaking. And it was developed by a company called Open AI. Microsoft has already invested 3 billion and just very recently made a commitment to invest a further multi billion over a number of years into Open AI to further develop this technology, which has a lot of different use cases, e.g. Microsoft Bing Search is planning to use this technology to make it a better search and compete with Google. Right now we're seeing the chat TBT can answer a lot of different searches and just give you a singular answer based on the data available on the internet. So as a content creator, water some use cases that you can use this technology for. One example is I just ask it to create a blog posts, giving me a breakdown of the best video cameras in 2022. So it's giving me a blog post in about 1 min. And some of the best cameras that covers here are the Canon EOS R5, a full-frame mirrorless camera, a Sony A7, S3, the GH five S, Blackmagic Pocket camera, DJI, Osmo auction. So you can see here it's giving you good quality information that can take away that research, that legwork. If you wanted to create a blog posts and even do a video on it so you can take what it's giving you. You can just edit, edited for your use, whether it's blog posts or video, and it just saves you a lot of time. Some people that haven't used it for other use cases like recipes, creating poems or wraps or free styles. There was actually a controversy. C-nets, the technology review platform has been creating videos for a little bit before everyone found out about chat GBT. So you could actually use a technology like chat GBT in combination with Cynthia to create videos. So taking out the research portion, as well as actually doing the performance in front of the camera. So that's just one way as a creator or Publisher, you could really scale using the AI technology. 11. Video AI Summary: Well, thanks for taking the AI course for beginners.
