1. Intro: Hey there, my name is
Daniel and welcome to my aunt shot course
here on Skillshare. In this course, we're
gonna be talking about all things and shot. And shot is a hugely
popular video editing app for iOS and also for Android. So a lot of content creators use the app to edit their videos on the goal when maybe they're not nearby a computer to edit
their YouTube videos. In this course, I
want to teach you all the tips and tricks that
in shot provides so that I can get the most out
of the app and create some cool videos for YouTube or any other social media platform. If you're ready for this
course, Let's begin.
2. Import: How do you import a
video into and shot? And shot actually does it super simple where you don't
really need to do anything. So you have three categories
right here and one of them, of course it shows
the video category. And you're just going to
click on the plus sign and click already when you give
permission, of course, to access your
photos and videos, you can quickly just acts as a video right there
and there you go. You're good to go. And
that's pretty much it. And your video has
been imported to the shot app and it's
ready to be edited.
3. Sound: Adding sound on a shot is actually super simple
inside the shot app. First off, I'm going
to teach you on how you can extract
the audio from your default video that
you imported into. In short, what are you
going to do is tap on the clip and then
negate, go onto volume. So under volume
here you actually have the option to extract. Now because I already did it
before I started this video, you won't see the extract, but usually it says
extract right below it. And then of course, if you click on the volume right here, oops, if you click
on the Sound area. So we're gonna go to the
Sound area, It's right here, already extracted the sound, so it's easy for you
to cut edit as well. But that's not it. I also like the other
features already that you could find inside the
shot apps and one of them, of course, it's
the track feature. You can actually add music, music already built into
your iPhone or Android. They could quickly add your
own music if you want. But of course, if you're going
to upload it to YouTube, you just won't be
able to monetize it. But this is where insurance, free of common use sounds so you could use come into play. So I have my favorites
here, of course. But then if you go to
the future popular, you can find the
more popular effects of our people really enjoy using SID and shot app that maybe you'll find and
be able to use as well. For this, we'll just click
on the snap right here. Could click Save
and quickly added. Went, we played at a, at a sound snap. Whenever that texts pops up, that sound is super important in a video because
it catches somebody said tangent as
well and keeps them nice and occupy into the video. So that's how sound
plays a huge part in a video and install it does really simple job of
adding sound and be made to play around
with sound effects as well inside the app.
4. Text: In this part of the video, we're gonna be
going over text and the text feature inside the app. The Text feature,
it's actually very simple to use of course, and quickly to access as well. So you could quickly just tap on the tax rate there and
then just start writing. So for this example we're
just gonna write the Hello. And then there you go. So we're gonna just write hello. What I like about the text
feature inside the shot app is all the customization
that you could do within the text apart. So you can change the
color as well, the tech, so you're not going up
the peachy, peachy color. You could change it
to white like that and have it nice and
simplicity as well. But also you can add
border colors as well. So depending on what type
of watercolor you want, you could change it as well. So for this video, we're
going to stay with white and black to keep it nice
and simple and easy. But of course, you
can actually choose how powerful the capacity you wanted as well of how thick you want the
border color to be. So depending on your
spiral and choice, this is totally
optional for you. Of course, you could create
a shadow if you want shadow, you could add a label so
the labels behind the text. So you could change it around
and just have fun with it. The paint on whatever label
you're going for as well. So yeah, something like
that makes it nice and fun in any causal change the
font within the shot apps. So of course you could
do the default system, one that Apple
provides your width, or you could download a
free fonts right within, inside the shot app as well that A-Sharp
provides right here. But you can quickly access
in the store right here, and all these fonts here
are free to download. It depends on what type
of style that you're looking for as well. So, yeah, there's a time
that you could choose from row ready right here for you to go and have
fun and start adding the text feature inside
your video, inside in shot. And of course here
you get choose how you want to
send to row-wise, or you work on the
right side and attacked or left side for the default or just keep it like normal and truth
on the left side. And then you can add
animations to the tax. So this is one of my favorite
features inside of a shot, is that you don't really
need to know how to create animation since the ancient app read into automatically for you, you could quickly
just click on this and it will read doesn't
automation depending on what type of
animation you want to add to your texts as well. You could go and animation on the end and then on the out, you could choose to
continue to go from left to right as well to
finish it off it and just click on the check
mark and we're good to go. So there you go. That's pretty much
it for the text. A little feature right there.
5. Transitions: Transitions are
actually super easy to do inside of the
shot AP course, the developers behind inch, I'll just make it really
simple of course, to add course some
cool transitions. Transitions of
course, are mostly used to change from
scene to scene. They're paying on your
video that you have. So how do you access the transition future
inside of shots? So it's actually super simple. Once you always have a clip, you'll always see
this little logo right between the clips. You just tap it. There you go, you're into the
transitions feature, right? There's ID app, and here's
where all the fun things happen that you've seen a ton of popular videos out
there on YouTube. When you finally,
we travel bloggers or other bloggers
who will just do a cool transition teams that
are using this right here to do all those cool
transition teams on their YouTube videos. So you can choose our time here. You could choose like a fine
one, classic like that. Or you can choose
the super one where you're just going
like that as well. So there's a ton of
transition teams. I get truth from that. Whatever works for your style
of the video that you're going forward in shock
probably has a cool, unique style for you. What I also like about the shot here is how easy it is to apply these transition teams to
other clips so that you don't have to keep adding the same
one over and over again. You just do it once
and that's it. So you can quickly just click on this to double-check and click transitions
applied to all. So every time there's
a new clip transition, it automatically does
it again and again. And so you don't have to worry about tapping
differentiation again and again for each clip, since array applied it to all the clips
in-between the clips. So they had to
transition comes out and the effect is used as well.
6. Color correcting: It overlays or
something really funny, of course, in, in shots, if you're ever uploaded
a photo on Instagram, instagram analogy to
click on Filters to make your photos maybe a little bit better or just a little
bit different as well. So ancient actually has a cool feature that makes
your videos pop as well. So we're going to tap
on a clip here and we'll click on
Filters right there. Right here you have
three options. You have the effect area. So the effect area
allows you to add some cool effects to
your, to your film. If you wanted to go to the
classic look like that, depend on what type of cool
look you're going for. Then there's gonna be
an option for you. We're going to click
on that one for fun. But then also there's
filters as well. A change to your
video color as well, and change it to
do a little bit of color correction if you want
to call it color correction. And you could do
some color crashing inside of the shot app as well. You can edit it, adjusted
as well depending on how bright or dark you wanted
right within the shot. Editing tool for the color
correction inside of in shot. So there's a ton of
customization that you can do within inside in shock when it comes to adding
cool effects and cool color correcting inside
the app as well.
7. Export:canvas: How do you, how do you
export a video out of n shot and get it ready to upload to YouTube or any
other social media platform. In shot makes it
super easy here. So you can actually tap
on the top right corner on the Export button
and click on Save. But you've actually
changed our resolution. So depending on what type
of resolution you want, you could choose
if you want for k, then you could upload for K. If you know, you know, 30 frames per second is the perfect number
to export a video. And then of course,
what type of format. So a movie or MP4, usually MP4s, the mostly more common one, but also movie as well. So you can just leave it to
default and habit to movie. And then when you're all
done, you just click on save and you're ready to export your video and
ready to upload as well. But another cool
little trick as well, before I forget they could do is add and change your canvas. Break here already. Ready with the pre aspect ratios for every type of platform. If you want to upload
this video for YouTube, then before you start editing the video, you're
going to want to, of course, add it to the
YouTube aspect ratio, or let's say it's for Tiktok. Then just tap on to
take talk logo right there and it's ready to
be uploaded as well. So that's what I
really enjoy about in shot is how easy they make it so that you're ready to upload to any platform that you want
without you having to think about the aspect ratio and the numbers of how the B
is going to look as well. Because it already does a Prilosec or ready to it
so that you really know how it's going to look for your YouTube video or any
other social media platform.
8. CLASS PROJECT: It's for the project
in this course, I want you to edit your first YouTube
video using the app. After you upload it and
added some called tags, some cool effects to it. I wanted to go and
upload it and share it with everybody down below. So you could upload the file and share the video clip
of the cool effects that you have learned
in the tips and tricks on how to
make your video. Maybe a little bit
much more fun and cool for YouTube
