1. Introduction: Today I'm against say he threw a hands-on tutorial. I'm going to start at the beginner level and fill you in on all these fundamentals and functions that you need to build off of in order to create and design your own characters, hands, or draw characters, handsome reference, etcetera, etcetera. So I'm basically Kevin security, the tools that you need to take your hand drawing from beginner level to intermediate. And then I will most likely be doing a tutorial that takes you from either intermediate to advanced, or basically gives you everything that you need to build off of an intermediate level. And then take your drawing skills to the advanced level whereas draw hands concerned. Okay. Highlight isn't gentlemen. My name is call or read and this is the hands-on tutorial. Okay. Ladies and gentlemen, before we began, My name is color read. I'm an iOS. You can find me on a number of social media platforms, YouTube, mainly antique talk. If you just type in hello, read, you'll be able to see some of my works ID, a lot of fun low drawings and Sharon's house, mostly on Saturdays. I have a number of videos of the can see nows I just check out my YouTube channel and say it's OK. If you're interested in some of my orients the soil, gauge, my skill level and yeah, just a just a nicely how fun with me on Saturdays and my community. 2. Project Requirements: The tutorial you're about to take is separated in the steps. During each step, you will have completed two hands. What we're going to do in each step is draw the base of our hand. And then we're going to draw around the base of our hand in order to produce a completed, finished hand. In order to complete the project section, I need you to apply it to hundreds per step within this tutorial. Okay? So one will be the hand that I take you through a journey tutorial. And then I want you to draw this over again as a practice. And then I want you to upload both of those hands to the project and Resources section. Okay, so take a screenshot or take a file and then upload it to the project and Resources section. What this will allow you to do is receive constructive criticism from other students and also engage with the community and also give your thoughts on other people's work and division of hands take. Okay, so in order to complete the project section, please do that. Last two hands should be completed for each step within this tutorial. 3. Functions And Fundamentals: Okay, so I'm gonna take you through this a 100 tutorial. What we're gonna do is we're going to stop a beginning level. I have done some drawings which I'm going to take you through now. And I'm going to talk you through. So you know how to build from a basic level. And then we'll go further for now. We'll keep on building off about right? So at the moment, I have a hand on screen. Now. One wants to do is first off, chasing very important things that a lot of people, these scape actually, or at least I think they do when drawing hands. So first off, we'll start on a basic level. And because this, this is actually very important before you even begin to start thinking about drawing. A 101 kind of stuff needs to understand that the hand has so many different functions. So what we're gonna do is we can split the hand into sort of two, a couple portions, right? So will say this area is area one sort of like the base of the hand, if you like. Just draw around it that then will the this area, which is, we'll call this area two. And then we'll say anything above. So of area to outside. Area 12 will call area three. Namely, thing is and we could say area. We could say area for rest or whatever. But we're mostly we're mostly going to focus on one side and three for now. So when we start with this, is when you, when you do different movements, let's say with your hand. All these areas tends to change depending on what's a machine you deal with your hand and what sort of action ED with your hand. So for example, 11 needed Dave, is, I want you to hold your hand in front of you. And so if imitate the image on screen. And when each imitate that say they'll probably be your right hand or left hand. Just hold out open influenza PA and then look at areas one and say, okay, I'm just gonna give you a second city that right? And you think this is my hand on our live tobacco, my ion and unknown. Unknowns using what data, right? But now I want ET, clench your hand into a fest. Right? Now you'll know AS that area one, we should have no S the area 12 changed ever so slightly. And if you do that again, open your handle now closer into a fist really slowly. You'll know is the area 12 again change slightly. And then if you open your hand dow area one and say change slightly again, especially to so as you go or the chain. When you're doing that particular action, area one tends to serve and come in on itself. And then area two is sort of folding over and saw in a way, in a sort of gets shorter and contracts in on itself in this region, right? So as you've done Matt, just get Zara pays off. So as you've done, your handshape has changed. And it's also changed the shape of the hand once it's been clenched. Okay. And no S as you've done your hand into a fist, again, area three has significantly changed because each so of d j so of like rolled in on itself and curved and curved and folded in an, in an in until you have created. And let me do this in a different color. Might make it easier until you've created a fist like shape, right? And just the quickly roughness, I'll just give you the fundamentals of that, right? Okay. And then we've got the thumb we saw of Kells, EVA haha. So from the initial shape, we've actually clenched of S and the shape has totally changed. So what's happened is every one has actually, so, although it's come in on itself, say at the top regions here and here. It's also fatten Tao in areas here, and maybe around here as well. Then we've had our fingers, which have all rolled in from the top of thumb, has killed in. Everything is sort of got tighter. Informedness ways. And Area two has folded sort of inward again so that the thing is can also follow 0 fold inwards. So there's actually a heck of a lot, the when on just that from the original open hand to create an invest. Okay. Now, going all the way back and let's get rid of that. We'll create our Crayola areas again. Right? So area one area. Say, OK, we go people we got I'm sorry about actually saw it up. Right. We're good. Okay. So everyone an area say a totally changed between those policies, right? So this is why I should just stop. And this is why drawing hands is actually very challenging even for intermediate level or is even for advanced iOS. You know, I told you understand new ROS live in hands and v, tau, etcetera, etcetera. All these Audio tutorials for by-the-way. Bo, I totally understand leaving these out because it's very complex. They're their own functions. They work autonomously almost from the rest of the human body. So, and make, and make a ton of different shapes. And absolute Tony, very dexterous, very versatile. And it's to allow us to do a number of different functions like lavas, rely on heavily to do different things, specially if you're an artist. So this is why it's important to know that these areas, we'll call this A3, area, A3, right? These areas and each very, very, very versatile and can create totally different shapes. They can expand out, they can contracts. They can fold in on themselves, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera, right? So join your hands and you struggling at certain points. This is, this will be most likely why is because you either on thinking about how your hand your hand is Maven or the movement or the page that you are trying to implement well enough. Or you may not be able to translate layouts paper, but most likely obey because, you know, thinking about how the hands of translating, translates and actions in what you're doing. So that will most likely be the area contention, the struggling R. So what I'm gonna do now is I'll draw different humps houses. I'll break down each area of the hand like a half hey, unsold motions that they're going to be doing. But I'll also simplify how to draw like, you know, hands in each piles, etcetera, etcetera. Now bear in mind once you've got these fundamentals. Once you take them away and you keep practicing on different hands in hands poses and stuff like that. I think you'll pick all of this open. You'll be able to draw hands just, just fine. Definitely, it's a beginner level and definitely an intermediate level. Advanced levels and denounces definitely are the principles the ED needs nine. But you'll definitely be able to get more than get by with with one gas, shale oil. Okay? So we'll go ahead to do that in the next step. 4. Drawing Hands Step 1: In this beginners tutorial, I'm actually going to take you through a number of different humps, uses and help you to plot them out in a simple manner that will allow you to do a variety of different campuses. And in a way that will allow you to add more expression, CEO, characters, hands. And whether you're doing 3D or 2D or wherever you NC comics, etc. Okay, let's go on with the hands. It's already without better day. Let's do this. So here I have actually second. Get ready for the.'s right. Just wave that goes away. So why have actually done is I've blocked out a hand, which allows me to solve, simplify where my focus is need to be when drawing a hand. So you will eventually be given the same. But I'm just going to walk you through how I saw dissects the a 150, much simpler shapes so that I'm able to build, impose my character's hands the way that I like. So on the right we have our reference here. And on the left here is how I've blocked out. So I'm just gonna go through the different ways I've done side. So I'm going to break this up into different areas. So we'll say a one. And that's gonna be everyone's going to be our forum. Then we're going to say a2 is going to be our rest. A three is the main palm area. Okay, let me just get a bit closer here. A3 is the main palm area. Then we're going to say a four, which is the top of the palm. Say we saw segments, the whole palm area into two portions. And I'll explain why in a second. And then we're gonna say A5. Is everything outside of the palm areas is mainly going to be the thing that fingers and the thumb area, we could technically say A6 for the thumb. When I say a five, unless specified otherwise, then that's going to include the thing is an anthem as well in this case. Ok, so without further ado, let's go. So we've got, and we've got our risked here, which in this pose. So first off, let's analyze this pi. So if we look over on the right, we've got OK, our characters are reference. Rest is quite straight, spent a little bit is quite straight. Sows the hand-in-hand is posed quite straight. And for humps. It's flat out. The palm is almost as if it's like, you know, on a flat surface, if you can imagine it. So a warmer is pressing against the window, does pass quiet flat fingers. The majority of the fingers, a straight or a straight is they can get with with the door close to with finger alignment and same with the thumb. The little finger or pinky is some people might call it is off on a, on a tangent. I haven't drawn it like that for the benefit of this tutorial. So we're actually going to draw all the fingers so straight. The poems, quiet flats or yeah, quite flat and out and so is the thumb. And this is going to make it simpler for us to solve. Block out each section of the hand, the beginning of this tutorial, right? Okay. So all of this from the bond to the base of the palm is straight in alignment. And, and same with the palm. If you can imagine the palm is so flexed our light that way. So the palm is facing that way, suits is curved. If you look on a side, bar, is going to be quite flat. Like that. Yeah, so that's why the arts are not just going to take this off screen. And then the, oops, sorry. And then the fingers are in Australia alignments. So write the poem here. We're going to separate. And the reason why we've got a three here and a four here is because this top part here, which is equivalent to 1 second, which is equivalent to this part, flexes. That's where we tend to bandar handover, the mightiest. So if you create in sort of like a, a floppy vest or, or fist, you can bend that region. You can also bend here. And this is why I've separated the poem into two main blocks, if you like. So as you go for it, if you would like to see a break your hands or in a similar fashion, then it may make it easier for you to raise your hands when you're doing different dynamics with Johan. Whether you do an illustration or comic or anything like that, anything dynamic basically. Okay, so the easiest way to block your hands out is to actually draw it like a block. As what we're gonna do is each of the thing is second, right? Each of the thing is going to be separated into these types of blocks. Lack of tonight over on the left. So if you'd like to actually grab yourself a 100 friends, so. Just draw on a piece of paper while looking at some reference on your computer or your phone or anything like that. And that's totally fine. Just just follow along and do exactly the same here. So each of the thing is the moment they are just going to be like so flat rectangles if you like. For the time being though, although Future, I'm going to ask you to look at these less obey differently. But for now they're going to be the CEO of flat rectangles. And then like you see on the left, we first guarantee separate the palm. Ok, and that's going to be the bend. And so you can always just look at your own hands bend and see where bands and sort of replicate that in your drawing. So we're going to do the cross section here. And then we're going to come down from the end of the index finger and end of the pinky finger or the little finger. Right? That creates our A4 section. And then lastly, we're going to continue. And easier way probability this because obviously the, the recent forum on as dynamic is the hand. So what we can easily do is we can block in quite simply of forum to probably go a bit higher, to be honest, Sorry. We get. So blocking of foreign then will block in our rest. So we got the A1 and 80 sections here. And then all we do is we join this with the top of R S. Now makes it really, really easy. Now, we could do the same here on this slide and just constraint down here. And that works fine as well because that sort of highlights where often can come in. But I actually find the much more helpful if we have this sort of leeway shape. So you see where the form actually joins onto the rage hair on a thong goes along the side to the other fingers, but we won't get into that. And come up here. And a magenta, hey, right? So this DOM portion here is equivalent to this, hey, right? So that's how we draw it. Saw a woman score like a triangle shape here. So you could say, we're going to join them to that. So triangle shape there. And that's how we separate and we can do exactly the same with this. So we go back triangle on the side of our square, square H shape, just in case I haven't counted the sides. So, right. And then we are guaranteed at the lost so of long rectangle over the thumb. And then before you know it, you've got a really nice handshake. Yeah. And then, oh, today is obviously you can add details and bits and bobs, LIDAR and shape. The, I mean, even if you were to leave it like that, you've got a really nice Foundation. And so structure that shows the hand piracy gets across all the information that you need. An h1 tag of pilots that you're hundreds in an already in. So I mean, even if you were to do it, use this V illustrations or economics and all that kind of stuff. If U is going to get a message, okay? As opposed to some so of Tang shapes are totally out of proportion, etcetera, etcetera. And I'm not bashing anyone that is on the learning process because we're all on a lead-in prices. But I'm just saying, by setting your hands out like this, it gives a much easier and stronger foundation. Suggests, you know, just to jump off and yeah, it's just, it's just solid. So breaking hands-on, solve like this, amino, even the urine tweaks and all that kind of stuff. What stake in Syria will give you a strong foundation that you can, that you can build off. 5. Drawing Hands Step 2: Okay, so I have drawn the, say Loads probably about, maybe four or five different biases who will apply this technique to those different piracy is. And I'll show you how those come on, okay. And I'll take you along with me in brakeman together. So get grubby reference and do as. And then they guy, you'll be able to draw hands decent level after the caesura, right. Okay. I'm just gonna quickly clean. Yes. Excuse me. Okay, ladies and gentlemen, so here we have a Nobel Prize for the hand, quite similar to the fifths or didn't want straits evolve because obviously you guys into layer. So now what we're gonna do is exactly like we did before. There may be some few differences, but I really want to draw him Nestle techniques. Again. A1 of 42 is our wrist area. We say a three is our low palm. A fall. Top arm. Was a a5. All of our thing is Musei A6. The thumb thumb rolls mostly on its own axis how he rolls or she rolls. Okay. So and again, what we're doing is we're breakup are referenced similarly. So we've got four on. We have the rest area. And again, when Drew rain, yeah. Hands, etc, etc. You can start from the top of the hand. The top being like the finger and, or you can start from the bottom hand, palm area being the forum and it is a map. My recommendation would probably be if you're very new to this, probably sold a bomb from the Forum going upwards to the Bing is Casey who make it easy for me. But if you are a bit more advanced than it probably won't affect you that much. So it's just down to your personal preference. What you feel more comfortable with. There's probably some advanced people that do it straight from the forum as well. I myself by so if directions, it doesn't match the misi image. Okay, so now we're going to the boxing off the fingers so that the loafing codon. Then we're going to do ring finger Moody, the middle finger. Flux shapes. Remember, only need nice and simple. And I'm going to do the index finger. Right? Now, as before, before we come down the sides, we're going to separate the palm into A3 and A4. Okay? Now we've got that. We can meet in the middle. There we go. Now we can join the lower part of the palm at the rest. Ok? Now whereas before we did the triangle to, So if the last digit of the thumb, this one's a tiny bit more tricky. And this is why I chose, is because the thumb is actually solve raised here if you like. And it's actually Clemenceau of in front of our hand. Now, this is one reason or one area hands can get very tricky is when perspectives involved. Now, perspective is going to be involved pretty much in every single hampers the EU, Dave, just some greater degrees and some lesser degrees. But hey, obviously with the thumb, this is to a slightly gray a degree. So what we're gonna do, hey, we still going to do our triangle, but we have to actually think about how everything is given C line o. So because our hand portion comes around haha, are triangles actually going to be very flatness instance. So we're gonna say our triangle is me in Bahia and then flattens out and meets there. So it's almost as if it's gone to obey. Hi Rob. Okay, so we can actually now continue from the almost base of the thumb, just there. So we're gonna block off largely property B. Now, what did Eigen That was shocking any dense imageData righ. Okay, so that finishes off our hand. And the thumb portion. We still integrate the triangle HGS perspective played apart. So if you like with so you've got the triangle in soul inside the dome or from the back of them, if that makes sense. And, but yeah, it's sort of like an X-ray technique if you like, we see in through the thumbs I, this will actually be back or in the middle of the thumb. And then we solve dissect pair. And that's how we get around the perspective in this particular instance. And Los alien with do this usually is a good idea to include the triangle. And that way we can tell where the base of, of them is going to say, which is right. Hey, okay. Excellent, right? We are guaranteed to get onto the next hand. Okay, so hold tight. The reason this is going to be a new place, and we're going to be the same techniques is guarantee to be slightly more challenging. So get ready guys. 6. Drawing Hands Step 3: Okay, ladies and gentlemen, so here is our third challenge. This hand is posed as a Fest. So this actually presents this three challenges. One being the hundreds, just a challenge to join in cells, large challenge one part too is that we have perspective very much active in this, in this particular pose. And challenge three is a occludes or Haidt's part of our hand. So those are all the different challenges we face with this particular planes. But I'm going to show you how you get around those. And we are going to stick to our tried and tested method and be like, so first off, let's start breaking down side. We are going to actually we could leave the forearm but we'll put it in. Gsp kids will keep it consistent. Right. So we have A1, we have a two. And here is where we're going to stop. Because now what we could do is we can either go from the forearm, acquits or we gave them the fingers. Remember the previous hand drawing? We had the option of starting from the fingers because they were pointed upwards. And, or we could start from the bottom, from the forum and giving OK. What's in this one, I would recommend the IPv6 stuff in the forum because the tips of the fingers are actually hidden here. So that's where we face fish challenge side. What we're actually guarantee day. Say break. Here. We have the forum portion down here. And then what we're going to have to do is we're going to have to continue from our base forum. So in this instance, what we are going to do is we'll follow the line all the way up here because this part is actually still base of avenges, right? Okay. And also hey, we've still got the base of the thing, the index finger on the other side. So you've got basically fingers over here, which is the pinky side or the loafing side. And we've got base that the finger on index side right? Now this actually presents a nice little tree. Because, because are we followed or to the base of the thumb, right? We can now come from the base of the index finger all the way down to the top of the rest. And now actually presents us our triangle. Right? So that's actually one of the most important shapes, forgetting everything. So in alignment if you like, our triangle. So when it gets kinda thick, may be looked for the triangle first. The base. Well, in this instance we look for the base of the index and low finger first, and then we create our triangles. I do that, that way round staff on the basis of the index and the low finger. And then we can potentially go from the base of the thumb. An angry or triangle's only data. I can't just say the E guys followed. So we will identify our basis based on the finger base of the index finger. Draw opposite the base of the little finger. Base of the thumb. Oh sorry. Don't grow up to the base of the thumb. And then we will draw from the base of the index being down to our rest. And then we'll link of hay. And that gives us a nice triangle. Okay? Right, so let's continue from there. We then going to split the hand or the poem into the Hoff. Remember? So there we go. There's Aha, there's the top right, so we've got a one here, a two here. H3 is the bottom portion of our palm. A four is the top portion of our palm. And then a5 section is going to be thing is A6 will be our thumb area. Okay, so now we've got the top of the palm, will do our fingers. Now one entity is Anansi change color. So it will be easy if it's the c, right? So we'll go with blue. Sorry about snafu or feel lack of just noise and peppers on the Milan Botticelli's diamonds. Right? Okay, so the thumb we will draw like so now beaches is pious is slightly more complex. We have actually done unless side is barcode, there were actually done unless side is included the join regions. So this is where our fingers and thumb bend. And I could include more by day one to may be Turin or the base. Too complex because obviously, when you're doing your drawings for comics or illustrations or whatever, it's probably best to keep it as simple as possible. You say nowhere between S. Ok. So I've just done the joints that the main areas. It can include more joint speeds off if it like the because this is quite just keep it as simple as possible. Like we're looking at this front on you don't actually see the other. So these portions of the finger, they are directly solve are right angles, so we don't actually see those. So that's why it's best to just do the joints here and keep it as simple as possible. Now if you think it's did extend further, and then maybe there will be some use in add-in joints here. But again, probably not because then what you could actually do is just block or extend the soul of block fingers out further. And then dissects may be liked by all or just not. So I keep it as simple as he can't resolve kids obviously, drawing kind get massive if you put in too much detail in SEO pace and see your basis. Yeah, just keep it simple. Asthma IFIs, right? Okay. So now we can say joins, Hey, join, join me, join there, and it joined there. Okay? And yeah, we can do one for our thumb within a thumb phase because the thumb is over the top of offering, this is over the top of everything else. So we won't need to draw a lot on the need because of thumb hide stuff. So we don't actually need to draw that. So again, keep it as simple as possible. Withdraw from the West. And a tongue twister there. And yeah, who finish off of poems? I, we've got our joint hair, so-called donor thumb. Now we go into the draw the blocks for our fingers. So we never are joint's OK as we've drawn them in. Now with the best. Let me go back again. Sorry about this panel. With the best. It tends to get this solar shape like a downward arc, if you like. Yeah. So we could draw the fish just like that and really simplifies over box based API library unless you go for a particular style. Let's keep it to the reference because it makes sense. So when we do this, we walk around and down. Okay, so we're gonna mimic that. And actually I'll get to that when I get to that, right? Okay, so we're gonna mimic that. We're going to do the boxes, right? And there we go. So remember, we don't draw the lower part of the finger because we don't say so it's like white Rhoda. Make it more complex for ourselves or keep it nice and simple. And then we have a, we do not run as a Fest. And we've got all the information that we need. That's nice. Now, we can use up a comic and illustration or whatever we need. So that's perfect. And we've got all the information that we need to make it more detailed if we like, or just get the, get the idea across to the reader. Remember, if as well, if you do it in comics in particular, you're going to be drawing a absolute ton of different hmm poses. So it doesn't always pay off going deeper and same with the detail elements, which is your going to be doing the issue of the issue of the issue. If you come, it's doing well or if you just wanted. So that's a lot of work right there. So you want to keep these sort of simple, nice block down just to sort of get the idea across and then get on with the next drawing. Okay? So this is pretty much begins to intermediate level right here. And nasa, we've broken everything down. That includes the perspective. And they also includes occlusion whereby certain fingers or thumbs in front of each other, same with Palm and all that kind of stuff like that. So that was quite a complex flooring to do. Hopefully followed along with me and drawn from reference may be desk reference or, or whatever reference you have. Similar pirates and you know, you've managed to do it the same way. So just a quick recap. And it will be a quick recap. With this what we did, we found the basis of our low finger, baseball index finger, and base of the thumb. Then what we did was we connected from the base of the rest all the way up to the base. Although finger and the base of the rest all the way up to the dome from the base of the index being. We then connected again to the top of the rest of the rest. And we create our triangle shape by linking the base of the thumb to the base of the index finger. And then the allowed us to link that to the base of the little finger. And then we were able to half our palm in the lower palm, which was A3, and upper palm, which is a o. And then from that, we were able to change color and look at where all our joints where for the hand and then draw them. And what we needed to see of the thing is keeping in mind that our thing is form a downward OK, shape. Okay? And then we have our thumb. Now obviously gets the idea across to our viewer. And great bass first TAs. And if we want to add more detail, however, like SAP for doing comics or tons of illustrations, etcetera, etcetera. Probably best to keep it as simple as possible because you are going to be doing hundreds, if not thousands of joins, the same, so that we got, okay guys, we're going to move on to one more place. And then once we've done that iron guarantee, go cross all the basic fundamentals and all that kind of stuff. By then you should be able to draw a basic hand. And actually, you should be able to draw up a basic to intermediate hand just from the information that I've given you thus far, and definitely by the end of the tutorial. So stick with me. We've got one more today and I'll see you there. 7. Drawing Hands Step 4: Righ. Okay, ladies and gentlemen, now we have our final handshake. We're going to use the principles that we've learned up until this point. Again. This time however, we have perspective again. We have the collusion are talked about last time, whereby the fingers or other areas of the hands of the tone covers in areas or and withdrawing hand from a side view. Now this hand is not tally with the reference tightly. And reason for that is because I'm once you incorporate, showing you how the movement of the Hankin actually change certain parts of it. So here we've got the hand on right, relaxed Maasai and he a handle on the left. What does there is more of a relaxed place, if you will. If you raise your hands, say left-hand. And you're about to do a pledge. I'm just kidding. Right? So what we're gonna do is if you relax, say the top portion of your palm, what you find is your fingers so of case law in this sort of relaxed pose. Now, this is quite natural for the hands today, is natural for its grip, even in a relaxed posture. And you'll find that you hand those days when you solve, not really thinking about and he just relax your hands. He Yaso. And if he, if you mimic this sort of piles with the hand haze or half the force a gorilla pingers out. So what you tend to find as well is when you relax your hand. So if you live in the relaxes, moon kills more, then you have your ring finger. The relaxes because a little bit last year, index, Coase. Yeah. Quiet. But not as much know, acquires Mochizuki renting, and then index being a very small amount. Usually open solo point, your thumbs launched join. Okay, so you end up. So if you actually get in this spiral effect like that. Yeah. And that's because light yellow finger actually has the most safe grip Empower is quite hard to grip without using your little finger, a law. So these tally or, you know, or let me say the sort of show the grip and power. Right? Since mostly are actually yellow finger and the ring finger. And then an end lessons is Jessica war in I. So that's why that happens. And that is now what we guarantee replicate with all a story. So get your pens on paper pads ready cuz we about to do this. So again, we can use the technique that I showed you before. And we're going to keep in mind where the joints, joints basis or etcetera, etcetera. So, and where should we start? Let's start from the forum. Again, as we usually have on this room, we actually have the option of starting from the ends of the fingers. So yeah, we could do that. They think is best to keep a consistent method. So we'll start from the forum. And again, dependent on the love, we can start from the ends of the fingers if you like. And it just it just depends on what you're comfortable with, but to avoid getting into confusions and areas where we get stock will stop from forearm and then we'll move to the rest. So forearm A1, rest 80. And then we're gonna go into the palm a3 and the top palm A4. However, here's where we get into some issues because its side on we don't quite see in those areas or where it may divide properly. Now never really don't align hey, that we'll look at where the thing is and where the fingers, so bases are. So we'll look into this area, base of the index, base of the little finger, base of the thumb. And then we'll draw everything from there. So I'd say our base vol, low finger is behind. Hey, become twice a year. So we're going to have to sort of play around with that. And so we have to use our imagination without one. Now, we've got the base of the index finger here. And we've got the base of our thumb here. So we've got the main points now to sensually the there, where we can throw our triangle for the thumb and connect the base of our index, c, the base follow finger. Right? And then we can do all of our digits as blocks. And then we can then segments upon region. And that would be our A3 and A4 areas. And then obviously we'd be able to draw the rest from map and draw from block. Ok. So that's what we are guaranteed to do. Hey, now destroyed, obviously it's quite different. It's, this. Destroy is much easier than s1 is because there's a lot of, like I said, the sort of spiral fact bending going on. Etcetera, etcetera. So here's where our joints come in because we are drawing the lower portions of the finger and it's important for the joints to be in there to allow us to see the direction of India's continuing and go next because obviously the soil change direction at the, at the joint band. Ok, so that's what we're going to do now. So we've got a join hip joint and the joint man. And say one joint man on the index because that's all we can see at the moment. Right? Now we can start getting into the palm region and a lower thumb region. Now, what we are guaranteed, Dave, as we guarantee you continue from unrest. And we guarantee join. So the little finger base. Remember this, this image side on. So we can join from rest to finger join nagana guy fully O2. Because look, if we gave fully up to a, so that makes our hand really thin, didn't necessarily one MA in this instance. So we'll go obtain here same area. Then we again, she connects our basis so our index finger base away here at the moment we're going to connect the index finger base to the little finger base. So from here to here. So join it all the way through there. And then we're going to start drawing a triangle. So our triangle gaze from index finger base all the way to see the star of the rest. Now again, his web perspective comes in because that is actually at this location. So what's going to happen is as you practice drawing and looking at all the things you may or may not gain an idea or feel for perspective. I personally had decent drawing skills, but I had to learn perspective are allay a day. Like even after I developed my drawing skills, I had to go back and learn nice perspective fundamentals. So you may pick the, so withdrawing. If he is okay, you may need to go back stuff from fundamentals and build up, oh boy, it does make a massive difference with all the Victorians. So some point dealer and perspective. And you may just pick it up by practicing drawing on my kinda stuff. See how ego. But it's definitely worth, if you haven't got the hang of it by maybe one or two years drawing and you'll be able to tell if it affects you drawings, then go back stuff from the basics with regarding perspective and build up. I probably will my slightly due tutorial on perspective as well. So don't worry about law. You can always come back to me for a tutorial on banks. However, give this a try and just keep that in mind. Okay. We can go from the base for index. Two dots hotpot Of the rest. There we go. Now that creates our thumb region, right? So now we are also creates all, our triangle is again, perspective, the sort of change how this looks in zoos. Not yeah. But trust me, bus does a triangle shape that we going for anyway. So, right, so we've got a triangle there. Then we are going to do the top part of our palm, which will go from here all the way through to their again perspective with while loops, bit phony and excite on. So this is why this is challenging. So follow me on nasa, we've got the top part of our palm and the low part of our palm fleshed out. Now. Now all we need to do is draw our finger and digits. And then we've got a hand. So I'm going to change color for this. Now that we've got the joints in place. Or we need today is draw blocks and we can follow and then change direction. Fingers where our joint saw. Okay. So we've got the first finger, then we've got our ring finger behind it. Excuse M1. So in that case, the join and then we're going to change direction just slightly. Then we've got the ring finger. I'm sure I call this the middle finger. Correct me if I'm wrong guys. Right. So we've got the ring finger hay wagon on now, got to the joint part, we are going to change direction there. And then lastly we've got low finger. We go to the join and then change direction now. And then we wrap it all law. We go from the thumb join. And we blocked that out because the thumb is in front of all of the fingers that. So now we've got also a relaxed hand pose. We've got all of our digits drawn and we've got our palm facing the right way, etcetera, etcetera. Ok. So that is how to sew, flesh out your basic fund pauses. Now a couple things just to note. Before you go wild and start join hands glow is the difference. So if let's say proportions in fact acts exactly what it is. So that will be in the next part. I'll be really quick bed just to let you know the portions nova can stop before you jump back. And f, b should, using this technique, be able to draw hands in a number of different policies as long as you sort of break and see these types of regions. Remember, you've got a1, you Forum for on A2, yo it's spelled with the WWW car wacko. I'm sorry, you guys have an enmity right? At rest. A3, your lower palm. A two which is hidden here, sorry about which is your APA palm. Then you have your a material by a2, sorry, a_4. Laca cet avenir might say Animoto, right? A5 will be ye fingers. And then lastly, a six. Remember is another word for of thumb area. Okay. Right. Now see you in the next part that Senatorial and actually pretty much wrap up our begin a session. You should be able to then run, run where there, okay, so hold tight and I'll see you then. 8. Summary And Outro: Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome back to the wrapping up part of our tutorial. So I had to basically po, he Ladies and gentlemen, just to quickly go over this par with regarding proportions is actually etcetera. Because even with the soil of fundamentals upto e psi for that will get you very far. But these, these little tidbits needed, needs to be added to get, get everything right with, with what in ISI fossa. Don't forget the principles that are taught. So it's a var that his, the, his, the extra cherry on top site. This may sound silly, but is with saying a hay, is with saying just to make sure the direct gap or anyone makes these mistakes and it's easy to do sometimes when he joined hands, etc, etc. So you've obviously got the NGA here. You've got the rings in the middle finger. And then your index right. Now, have seen drawings where the height of these different thing is, is off. And sometimes it doesn't make much of a difference, but sometimes it does. So is with Gagne's, correct. So in order of high, you have the middle finger first, the index finger second. And again, this varies depending on people's hands for them. But for the most part, this is how people's hands are so high. So if the majority, if your drawing hands, It's best to do it like this. So we've got middle finger, index finger second. Then you've got the ring thing. And obviously the loping four. Okay. Now, the ring finger isn't too much smaller than the index finger. Sometimes these can actually be similar high. So just remember that the in order shape or fly. Remember how we saw of gaba downward arc with best, with the fist drawing and we did same because from the middle finger downwards to the low finger. And then you've got the index finger, which does the same thing because that's how our index fund is rho. They too cool for that. And then your thumb. When your thumb, so straightens up to here, then becomes a smallest. So it's about a third of the way, or your index finger. Okay, so if this was the game here, that's where it means, right. So that's how all of these sort of measure, measure Rao against each other. Ok. So just keep that in mind when he joined. Yeah, yeah, hands. So the fingers or you poems or a thumbs down go way off when doing sin pyrolysis, etc, etc. Just keep that in mind, okay, because that's very important. As I said before, sometimes it doesn't make a difference. With some drawings. It honestly does the pen. If you apply that to most of the drawings than you. So if you don't need to worry about whether a logo layer or not, because it's just correct if that makes sense. Okay, so I think that concludes the tutorial on just thinking as a nanosatellites talk about Gordon Hansen proportions and things, etc. etc.? I suppose I could yeah, actually, I think I think that that does wrap up everything that you need and draw, draw hands and build up from there. I am doing them and intermediate to advanced tutorial. So definitely check that out and come along for that. Just, it just makes sense again for distance, but this is definitely something that you can work with. You can do all kinds of places now with your hands, with those techniques. And you know what your soul proportions are supposed to be like. This can definitely take it to the intermediate level. So if you're a beginner or new BIA haven't done this before. You can definitely take all this information and UB intermediate level in no time with Bill practice. And just and just doing num dot break hold. The I told you remember A1, forum AT rest. A3, low palm, A4, A5, A6, thumb. Then Basis, index base, low finger base IS captured with our forms and rest joined from rest to base. Base, joined from risk to base. Index space for freedom, that base, base. And then from MySpace to that base, our forms, our triangle. Join the space to this space. Separate upon. So you've got low palm, palm and then were able to draw our DOM. I'm pow. And not basically allows you to draw your hands. And then you can shake them. Pretty much like I've drawn here, just rounded the top. We've got some nice hand shapes. And obviously get into death. You know, if you've seen my weather no closer and all that kind of stuff, Laila, etcetera, etcetera. Say you were looking at this the other side. So you've got your new wanting to include your fingernails. You can include your fingernails, etc. etc. But that's getting into details and what kinds of Laila, I mean, yeah, you can go as far as you like with, but the fundamentals are there now the IV Section two of the hand, you can build it, or peace in our technique, a 123456 technique, build up from there. Don't forget your arcs with fingers. Don't forget your high. With dipping is an order of height. And only if you point your thumb. And then, you know, so high, Yo Dong should reach up against your index finger. And do not forget. Yet triangle helps or you basis or case. That's the whole lot. So I hope this has really helped. She, ladies and gentlemen, are will be thrown out. A nother tutorial that takes you from intermediate level to advanced level practice, practice, practice, and look at the reference, no law kind of stuff. But this should definitely help you to draw your hands in different, in different positions, poses, etcetera, etcetera. Okay. All right. Thank you for watching. I will be thrown out more tutorial, say keep an eye on. I'm also on social media like sample for each IP and tech talk, especially just said Akhil Reed and drop me a comment if you like to see tutorial, let me know. And yeah, I hope this helps your arts and you take it from there. Thanks guys. Take
