Hello, I'm Esther.

I have always enjoyed art from a very young age. My first form of proper arts education started at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Singapore), where I took a course in Western Art. I have since held various roles in the art industry such as an Assistant Art Director, to a freelance graphic designer later on in my career.

In 2015, I took an interest in watercolour and brush calligraphy, picking up the skill on my own. My background as a graphic designer has helped me create artwork, designs and publishing. I have published 3 books - 'Lush & Blooms', 'A Guide to Floral Watercolour' and 'Watercolour Floral Painting'. All my 3 books are available at Amazon now. They are also available as eBooks at my website, estherpeck.com

1. Intro: Hi, I'm Esther Peck Oughta off a guide to floral watercolor. But today I'll be teaching wash floors and plants instead of water color in this fund. Pack beginner to intermediate class. I will walk you through the fundamentals off Wash painting by how to prepare a stay wet palette. Keeping your brushes in good shape. ASG wash Pains dry up easily on the blisters of the brush. We're Solan colors mixing to get interesting colors that you like. And for this class, I went for inspiration on nature trip. Uh, we were long banana leaves. Once they relieves friends and daisies with a step by step Pdf for you, I will also be teaching sunflowers and hydrangeas. Hope you enjoy this new wash class. Do join me. I hope to see you soon. 2. So, What is Gouache? : so many water calories have started to explore in quash, and I'm curious to try that out, too. So what is? Squash washes up it with the color, and it's consists of natural Pickman water and a binding agent gum or Arabic. It is designed to be used with a pit methods of painting from that to light. And the good news is that with squash, you can actually cover your mystics by layering them over. It has a chalk off Carson cabinet added to make it flat and up it. It can be dissolved after it has been direct, just like what color. And you can activate it after its strict on your palate before spray off water and I'll be teaching you some floors and 40 just, and I hope you enjoy painting with a brush. 3. How to prepare your palette: for today's lesson. I'm going to teach you how to prepare. Stay with handy payment. I have been using a stay wet palette for many years. At least 15 years. That's because I used to pain with a collect pins. And this is the best palette I have used so far. And I think what wash as it dries up so fast this I use it like, uh, this morning. In fact, this is like belly half an hour ago. It dry you, but because for gosh, you can actually activate it again. We've spray. You still can use it again. But you don't get that creamy look. Sometimes they get a crime like this So far, Bush, I would suggest that we use a stay wet palette. This palette has been left unused for about maybe two months. Ready? Let me start with how we should prepare the sponge. Okay, so this is the set that we will have it come in this week, all the instructions here and this is a brand new one. When it come, it will have five pieces of a quick people and a dry sponge like this. Okay. Yeah, That's how I'm gonna teach you how to use this pallet just briefly, because they're stops in. She on inside these package. Okay, so you well, wet to sponge. Okay, I have pre read to the really early on, and, uh, if it's a new sponge like earlier on what I have shown you, you have to rinse it off thoroughly on the running water and squeeze out as much water as you can and plays the West Bank on the palate tree cake just like this. As for the actually paper, we have five pieces writing those set, but also sell in this week. You can buy them online that their traditions. But a good thing with this quick paper is that you can actually reuse them. I'll talk a little bit about this again, so Oh, all right. I usually like to prepare two pieces at one go. Yeah, because I'm quite fussy about the trainers on my paper. So you need to have hot water. Yeah, just now I show you home. It should look like it is kind of off peak, right when it is straight and you're some much is with hot water for about 15 minutes. I have some much juice. More than 15 minutes. Maybe half an hour. Ready? Right now. You see, the eighties letter translucent. Is it that you can see my hand yet? So Okay, we take this up and, uh okay, let me get some towels can use. I would g tower to pet up the water. But this and what you can do is that you can actually just put one over another and your pin your wash pain that you squeeze over here can use. Let me see at least 1 to 2 weeks, and you can still active it again with the spray. So all right, let me talk a little bit about how to save this paper. What you can do. Like, if I want to save these people, I can entry script out the pain. This one is a little bit already because quite messy. Here. You can't you scrub out the pain and you wash under running water again. There will be staying. Definitely. There'll be something I used to can reuse it again. And you can actually use the other side off the paper so you can maximize your collect paper because one piece costs about 30 cents Singapore dollars for me. I think my water is more expensive and creaming the paper, so I usually maximize a fully Yeah, sometimes. So, yeah, I do like, used the other side. So that's how we prepared this palette. 4. What Can You Paint On: in this lesson, I would like to show you my little booklet, which I started painting into line, and I have a most finished half of the book in less than three days. There are many poetic flowers, roses, daisies and mini bookies. I was so in spite with Eglash throwers that I decided to run a workshop, and because of that, I started to pain and prepared a step by step paintings on the watercolor PayPal's. You can use 200 grams or 300 grim paper, and they need not be 100% cotton paper. I compare my paintings into a six book blitz for my students. I also used to her rented a gram break people and I painted on then and cut them into a six to make this booklet painting and then make 14 booklets for my students to protect my paintings. I also vanished them with a layer offsetting vanish, which is water base. I'll be teaching the sunflower in this class. Besides people, you can paint them on wood, but you need to caught them with Jessel and perhaps a few tons. You can also try canvas this canvases for watercolor based paintings, and you can try painting on it, too. 5. Caring For Your Brushes: I would like to talk a little bit about how to care for your brushes. Okay? Because wash dry up very fast, and sometimes it dryer on the Fuhrer, each off our brush. In this case, I think not too bad, because I use this month for my what color? Okay, you can kind of just squeeze a drop or two off this brush cleaner. Katie's. I think you can just such for this, but need not be this brand, I think. Yeah. So? Okay, I can see some pink color because I used quite a bit for flower. Yeah. So the color is coming up if one or to drop is still not enough, Maybe another. One more. I think it's quite clean. This brush, you can see the color coming. Although when I first show you, it does look like, quite clean. Right. But now you can see that more colors coming up. We all like to maintain our brushes. Right. So this is how I wash and I have a clean jail of water. You can just wash it toe under running water. Yes. So after this clean, Okay, that's a little bit off. I could feel something washing quite tower over here. Let me check in yet. This is quite T. I have also talked about this brush cleaner to end president. Okay, so in other to keep it shut again. Okay, is it has to be a little bit. Bet my brush so that I can I can actually just I just roll my brush here city to get the shot. Keep betting game this way. Okay, so this is my Princeton brush, and I tried to get that shocked it back again. Yeah. Okay. And what I need to do is that I just kind off may flat in this way for a while before I close it up. Because this is a tribal brush. So before I close it up, right, So two items that you might like to know is, uh, as I said, I'm not sure about other brand, but so far, this has been very useful. And a lot of what the calories are also recommending this brain. But for this, it's more like a I use it for collect pins before, So I'm not sure if this is still available, but likely that it is still available. And you can use it to clean off the pins that you think that's not inside. So with that, you see, you see that I clean up quite a big off dirt, okay? 6. Colours Mixing: in this lesson, we will learn about color mixing. I'm using PDO Goulash Extra Fine Pins Series two and three. I added quite toe come in like, which is already in the small top and more white. If you wish to get a very light pink, I mix do the tree types of pink. Next, I have emerald green 222 from CVS to insight my small tuck as I'm mixing and that the green since we're painting a lot off colleges green leaves. I like to have a lot more greens, so I'm mixing a few types of greens using the two greens, yellow and white. There. Hef. I edit my Premix ping, which is less common lick and more white to the emerald green to get a new green, which is bluish green. You may like to recut this mixture in your booklet and is very useful to keep switches on your booklet or even small cut. And if you like a yellowish green mix at yellow 30 trees, serious tree to the mix. - I find that this color will, which I get from a locus ball, is very useful. This color will show you if you mix white to yellow green. You will get a very pretty like green, and with black you get a doctor green, which is quite obvious, withdrew a blue green with yellow, more yellow green, and we fret. You actually get brown. I find this color were very useful, and you can get them from the Lucas bow. I think it is swift getting one, and perhaps you can meet one yourself. I hope you can explore more on mixing colors and try toe are more mixtures to your limited palate. Have fun mixing covers. 7. Brushes We Are Using: for this lesson. I'm going to share with you the brushes that I have used for painting the flowers. Okay, this too. Princeton Heritage six and two. I used a pain. The banana leaves. I used this. The base cooked and I used piece, too for the find ITU's for the banana leaves to our youth, the shader to bring in. I'm using a number eight and for the monster toe used piece to base coat and the liner for the details. And I also have friends. I use the number eight for the small leaves here Cake. I need to get it shut again with the water over here I used this size and for the very tiny one. I just use the number two for the brushes and for the for the men brunch and the brand just here I use number two brush and for the flowers for most of the least, I will be using round brush for this class. I used round brush and for the flowers that I'm teaching daisies, I will be using number six again. Most of them. I'll be using number six. Yeah, and if there's very tiny one for the feelers like the baby's breath. I will use number two. I'll be teaching disease later and was so sunflower. I will be teaching about that were loading and I'll be using number eight because six I can you six tuba six. I have to to true stroke, so I can use number it. And perhaps one stroke. Yes. And so number ec Princeton. Okay. And OK, here for the center. Off the some trouble using a dear foot brush. Princeton sunlight. So, uh, I have this brush so abusing the quarter if you have a slightly be good one is so, so fine. Yeah, so slightly bigger. Like cook, perhaps a tree. Okay, let me see. Oh, all right. You will notice that in my class I also talk about the switch just so far. So just we can use our world fret brush so we can get a rectangle or something quite easy. So I use ah, half inch Princeton Neptune for that. Or you can still use your number eight threat shader for that to so many for this lesson, I'll be using this view brushes to see you again. 8. Observation from Nature : when we're out in the woods and nature reserve. We don't just enjoy the transcript ITI and work, but my beautiful green, thankfully, GIs, but just of the trees that make up this beautiful nature. Before we actually get to the painting, I encourage that you go for a new to book to observe the plants and the weeds that you wish to paint. Observe the shapes, colors of the individual plants and leaves and how they grow. And for I saw this lunch tropicals, which are often seen in photographs on my later research that is called Elephant Year, or call a cashier and toggled mix. I saw these banana plants that I had wanted to pain for one, and I observed that the lunch banana leaves Pender split in respond to high wins. And that probably makes painting more interesting, but not necessarily for the plant. Look how these comparatives group and I'm delighted to see this pre difference here, and I managed to snap a few photographs, though, is just a shot. Work and absolution. I'm very much refreshed and inspired, and I hope that you too, do that the next time you 9. Techniques: Loading, double loading, stippling: in this class. I'm going to teach about double loading. How we get a better like that before I actually teach on the south, Lower in another class. Okay, so I have my colors per pet double loading on a round brush. OK, so if I'm painting our sun flower, I would like to have arrange verse. I'm yellow. Actually, in this case, it may not even be double loading. I have triple alluding. OK, so don't be Alum, uh, after I looked to Carless I have And I know what just at the tip and okay, it's gonna be very thick, and you actually use quite a lot of pain. So this way I get a stroke base, sir, with three colors. Something. Let co a petco if I want it. Very, uh, shot like this. Orrange. Yeah. No, I haven't washed my brush. And, uh, okay, the white. So it will be this week Very big here because I have a little bit too much weight in this case, Probably for the sun flower petals. I don't need white, but for this for the daisy. Yes, I need the case. So let's do a few time. I'm afraid we have to wash the brush. Quite loft comes to get it off the colors That not here. But in this case, we're also wasting some pain. But I guess we have no choice. Okay, Uh, let's say we are. This is the pellet that some off the pains that using for my class on Sunday, And the pins are still very well because I used to stay that pallet. Today's already trustee when I'm recording this class. Oh, four days have passed, but my Penis still wit. I'm just picking up the ping on the tip of my brush. And so I'm teaching you about double loading and earlier on is small on the whole full loading. Now it's just a So if it's the tip, we have this week small, smaller, lower. Okay, I being wash my brash. Yeah. So I'm going to pick up again. So you see the lording off the pain, Then you can get some yellow here. No, I picked up the year you because just now the flower had some yellow, But actually still, in a sense, it's quite interesting. Pretty a quite like this infection, So yeah, so but the small one you about one more Quite a Stick it on. But you are No Chester, for gosh, we use a lot off the lighter color to highlight. So when you are getting any pains, any wash place, I suggest that you get some light colors. That quite lemon yellow that for the highlight. Yeah, even for the new Grinch, you'd like to get a light to brew something like that. So when you do, the highlight is a lot. Um, it stands up better. Okay, so this flower, maybe it's a supporting zero can be any flowers, so we just, uh, a little bit wet. So I wept off and on again for the center, off the flowers. I have it pop off orange here. That's for the highlight. And still can use a bit of, you know to You can use the tip off the brush if you don't have a stippling brush See this week? Yeah, because sometimes we didn't want toe spend on extra brushes, but I think that's the bring brushes is quite Are you school brush to you to buy? Let me just show, you know, so some techniques, because I'm going to teach about techniques right. So, Brizan put you have us. They bring brush, and you don't know how they use it. It is like this. Okay. Very fast. I got this done and don't have to wash it. You get the yellow, and you get this very nice different. Okay, Sometimes you can. Actually I repeat again, you pick up this and this, and then you just palm it here toe, blend the color for us. Okay, so they are quite blend up here. And then, uh, this is the effect of using a row eight brush, and I show you the bed of a stapler is quite different. Of course it's nicer, but s I c If you don't have a stickler, you can get your round brush. OK, so there you go. And if I want more high, like, okay, I'm going to use some of these everyone to mess up the unity. There will be some being so I get something that is quick toe. Okay. You can see that. It's, uh, a small three d here. Yeah. So off course us. The blow will get you a better effect. So how we looked our fret brush for this case because I'm loading it for my just for my highlight. I only I only do it this week. I keep my brush dry. Okay, that is for the banana leaves. Because that's only what only so I just show over here, layer over it once. So it will be a dry brush. In fact, because my brush is struck so and you just pull likely for that for the dry brush effect. Okay, I still campaign a little bit more. So we actually just pick our pain at the each off the brush, OK, this site finish early, so I still have pain here. So I turned over. Maybe here, I think you have less pain. So we don't really need that. What? You probably can add a bit off green. So I have something on my palette. So so is here that you pick up the pain, remember? All right. Although in this class I don't have time to teach about double loading off a fret brush. But I guess I can just show you a quick one, because in mine other painting which I have done que this one I show in my instagram posts . And, um, I guess some of you A curious is how I looked my brush like this one. Maybe I just talk a little on the simple one first. Okay, I have a number eight brush. Right. Okay. Here. I will use a pink. So my ping is over here. Let me just get my ping, OK? You can use the h. You can use the itch off this half inch Neptune brush and OK, so I don't really need a pellet night, because at this okay, this pain is a little bit dry, because when I mix it, it's a bit thick. This is the color that and mix it from coming lick site. Look, the quite and no, the yes, I say is a little bit click. OK, so I have two colors here, and I will blended on the paper. If you don't have a palate palette like this, you can blend it on any smooth paper, like a wax paper. Okay, My my quiet. It's not in and also have to pick a bit more. You can see two colors, right? Okay. This week and I freaked over my brush and I blend again and I fell over again. until you see. Okay, Some, this one because I used a lot of pink. Okay. Can you say that the blending is a bit nicer now? Okay, so I used the white on top for the Rose, but so this one just a simple want to show you how I looked. My pain. So one I am using. I know. Okay, let me get a black people I'm using on our this way. Could it quite paper is hot too soon. So let me get what? And my pain is kind of strip up there. Ready? I get it a bit more. Okay. This brush has one head Mr coming up. So the sweet All right. You can see clearly right here. It'll be hard to see take And that me that trying to get back the pain. Unfortunately for double loading in order to get a very nice blending, you have to go over. You have to blend a few times and sometimes, because this this is on a black paper, you can see. So I'm going over again. I'm going over like cookie. Yeah. And because my pain has landed on the paper. The brush it a nada little doing, but this time the net for loading and noticed that I didn't wash. Okay, Every time when you were on the same place, make sure that you don't wipe it. Wrongly see if I went this way. I have it wrong. So I tongue over who? I and plum. Okay, correct. So now I need to close back this putt, but a roast soon. Actually. I need to wait for it to dry a key. This a while. All right. So I have a rose. But I just, uh okay, I don't I don't like my rose. Don't know. So lonely over there, So I'm painting another one. Okay. Mix again. I try to do it with a bit faster, Usually when I pain rules, but I like to pin them in at least tools. Okay. This way. Then quickly work on it so that the colors will dry up. But in this case again, because it is black, you will get this. Okay, so I have my rules, but done. And let me just, uh, wrapped it up. This Yeah, it's called literally wrap it up with leafs, so it looks a little bit like Oh, this goes. I cannot treat double lotus with some low too. But some covers. It's a very bright green because right now, on the palate that we were using on Sunday it was a bit bright green because we're painting Grozny. Yes. So I have a small one. Um, let me end with this. I'll be using just these number two, and I just if you want something very around, you can use the chip off your brush. But, uh, for me, I like to use, uh, my brush. You can use this for you. So and, uh, as I said this other thick, So I'm not sure if I can get a nice one to paying these. You actually need a very fresh ping Mei. What? Use do? Okay, but not for thes year. I mean, it's very thinking stated Just show will be some decoration. Look it as a very yeah. Okay, So I have talked to you how to use these brushes, and I hope that you can try out some of them because for this class, I'm just teaching three projects and they will be sunflowers, daisies and high gingers. So I see you very soon 10. Painting Banana Leaves: in this class, we are learning more about techniques off using different brushes to paint the banana leaves. In my previous lesson, I observed that banana leaves split due to high winds, and I have drawn the spirit for the banana leaves. I had base coated the banana leaves with different greens. Those in front are lighter yellow green, which I have mixed in blessing six for those behind a base coated with Dr Green greens with black and for the back off the food. A banana I base coat took with even darker greens to show that next, I use a lighter shade of green and painted the main vein off the leaf. Use the number two round brush and Lota Docker sheet for those sheets off the mean vin. Take note that the mixture has to be creamy for the brush to move smoothly. You can use a round brush to paint the leaf. Petain's for the inside of the leaves. I use a docker shit and pain from the main Vince and outwards. - But if I have a friend brush, which are use and number eight, I looked a little off the lightship off green, which is green with white and painting from the age of the banana Leafs and pulling inwards . Make sure that the brush mixes not too wet so as to create this Emmy cordis dry brush technique. I also use wet on wet technique to paint the patterns using round number six. Do enjoy watching the rest of my paintings. 11. Painting Monstera Leaves : visible. I sketch, the monster relieves and based could it with a dark green mixture. The base coating will take you sometime, and probably you may have to base credit about two times. The trick to paint this monster rally is the pain round the holes and ages of the leaf. First Geller lighter mix of green depend on Men V and use a smaller lama to round brush to paint the Vince of the monster relief I highlights until off the monster a leaf. We flight a green and I didn't look too much on this monster relief. Hope you enjoy painting the monster relief. 12. Painting Ferns: upended the mean stop and branches of the friends with Round two, and I looked omit yellow green with my round six brush. After loading, I rolled the brush to make sure that the tip is in shape and paying the meaning. Leaf strokes, using the tip off the brush and painting their leaves smaller and smaller. - Some of you may wonder why I pain with the tip off around six and not a smaller round to instinct. We have a small round to brush. I have to paint two strokes to create one small leaf. No, they're strokes. Look shopper, But it took a long time. Also. You can always turn your booklet off PayPal to a comfortable anger before painting your next set off undies. This fun leaves are really fun to pain. Well, except that you need to be patient. - I hope to see you predict 13. Project 1 Daisies Bouquet: for this lesson. I'm going to teach you how to paint a small little K off daisies. Before that, I would like to revise a little bit on the commerce took. Sometimes you call a leave stroke the pain, that disease. I also taught this in my other on my classes, que but in water color, but this time not squash. So the loading will be a little bit different. Okay, As this is quite paper, I will use a yellow instead off the white here. Okay, so I make sure my brush is a little bit wet in order to pick up this pain. Because this pain, though they are still quite with from Sunday, it's not as fresh as from the tube. Okay, so I picked up my yellow and a comma stopped both this week. Most of the pain at the tick off my brush and I hold my brush 45 degrees and I press and I could Okay, I hope most of you have already joined my other on night classes Or have my book A guide to float or what? The color. So that you will know a lot more about these stocks that I'm talking about. I'm selling this book and the online store w w dot as the Peck Online store. Yes and ah, guy to flora, What the color and I teach us about basic strokes with round brushes. In fact, I covered quite a lot flowers here, but they're in what color? Those in watercolor. Most off the stock work will be similar. In fact, as I mentioned the Dahlia eso, I taught sunflower heels, so but it will be a different types of sunflower that I'm teaching over here, so it's quite different. I hope you can get this book, and there's a lot of references up to about 14 types off flowers and leaves and plants that you can learn from. Please go back to our painting again. Yeah, because my book will talk a lot more under how you hold it, which I will briefly just show you again. 45 degrees. And as I said, the pain mostly on the tip off the brush, and then I press and I make a ton. But in Daisy realized that you don't really need to have such a round turn. I also tasteless for pure needs this time Okay, so just not Is this time, right? So now I turn over here for this, okay? Not the way and a leash, which is pool on golf. This new stroke, que I will give you this for reference. So it will be a good practice so that you can use this to get you. So before we go into the project, I just look on this to show you we can have 12345 So we start from this side. Not so sure. Not soaker and less a current. I'm just using the one color off. So that all, Nick, we want A to Carlo. We can work on that. Okay, now is thesis. We can have about five everyone. Okay, so I have five already. I feel that I need one more here. Just adding bill, if I can see. So this one, this site one A bit smaller. So now for here it will be just shut. Shot shut. Okay. One, 23 All right. For the center. Off the daisy. I was tipper some green and yellow. Local with my rounds six brush. I will make some off the pin as I don't have brown, so I would just tipple it lightly. Now I show you another daisy loading with yellow and orange, our poor, their strokes inwards to create the daisy petals and again our stick border center with green and yellow and even white for the treaty. If it and if all these pre pet let's that our project, I'll be painting on a purple paper. Use around six to pick up yellow and white and pull in gently so that you can see the strips off pin turned a brush. A letter to create a sharper teeth, turning to us right or turning towards left if you need to painting the smaller daisy using the tip of my number six brush, I would like to paint all the daisy first before painting the leaves a night water color. What the colors bleed bearers wash doesn't bleed. And so we cannot repaid one color first before going to another so that I wouldn't waste my pittance. I used yellow and orange to step off for the center off the daisies again, more yellow and white on the top to create a treaty fit. - And then, with the tip off my round six. I pain the leaves off the daisies. These are small release before the bigger leaves. I'll just press out to big strokes to form the leaf. - Well , I think I need toe in smaller days. Jesus feelers, - using white and yellow I at in the baby's breath to fill up the gaps. - Now we need to link upto baby's breath with this number two round brush again. I think I need to brighten up my daisies with a little bit more white pins. Probably just these two big daisies. There you go. It's they're not. And perhaps I need to paint in a smaller daisy to complete this piece. And now, by looking at it, I think I need to loosen up the bouquet, a letter out in the tendrils. So I hope you'll try to pin this many daisy bookie and do pose a project. I hope to see a project. So C s a 14. Project 2 Sunflower: But today's class I'll be teaching sunflower instead of black paper. I'll be using my quite watercolor paper. This is a concern. 300 gram. As I mentioned, if we are painting wash on watercolor paper, it may not be 100% cotton paper. The person we don't need the bleeding that much. And we just met a very basic what a color paper and I have for some pin a ready premix Bobby orange and captain him. This one is Cockrum. Yellow, Huge. So I have them mixed here and some of this my open from the class. I save it inside game. I like to use a pallet toe picked up my pain The reason Because why I use appellate nine rather than a brush. Because the pain we're all staying my brush and I can really you stop. He will be weighs on my brush, even painting on. If I piece of people like this possible, arrange them like of my big flower. Okay, In this case, I have one single for abalone, which is also call apply to my Gloria composition, which I thought in my last class floor competition Rules of pots. Okay, this is the center off my son for our And then I will book up on the petals. The rest I don't need to because I just want to gut the rest myself for a while. And this week and I will believe. And the leaves his early on. I mentioned that I will use my number eight. Right. So I just live it over here. So with my number, it brush. So something from here I'm getting my arrange first. And then I get my yellow. So I kind of double loaded and we've good loading like that. My brush is a little bit wet, I guess. But the stool, right? You can see that I get a very nice yellow orange. Strictly this. And you don't really need toe very hard on your loading on the suspect. This on a little bit, but can you see the strip? If I won more orange? I was just at on. Try to, uh I mean your pet. The small life, lee a bit son turn here. And but not too much. Double loading, sometimes getting that. The big joy on the black paper is there? Not better, honestly, but since I have them black already elect on the white people. So this is my first struck. That was a little bit wet. Right, So on. And, uh, okay, I didn't want it to have you see them here all cover up, so I didn't mind it. So much white space. So little. I will work on that. And so this is my first layer. And we all know that some for our actually has many layers off Peto. So I'm like, working a little bit on the thank you again. I feel that Toby shooting over work on this. So I'm like, just have a I have just a field, not a lot. Yeah, I can squeeze in some. And then I mentioned she wanted to be a doctor to show the potatoes and some that you feel that they need some extra at those You can just add on. I want more years ago. Okay. I feel that this site had, like, some liking, So I on if this blackness there not better, but this is quite all right. So this is another of my flowers when you're painting on smooth paper, actually bringing up a lot better This one is what? Color paper. But you can see those trips. I rolled my brush a little bit. Sometimes it has to be from big to small. Same thing so smaller, Smaller here. I can get in a little bit more. Find it on the white people. It doesn't stand. How so? Well, so I may have toe at a little bit more quite to bring it up. Those on power. We don't really have the So what? But more for the highlight for the center. I'm using thin sienna for this one. I'm using the whole bun brain off wash I'm using Bring number two and okay, this time round, I will use a stapler. But again, if you don't have a stapler, you can get your number brush toe, create that the tip off the breast or just the bullet. So I'm going to start the for this. It uses up a lot of pain. Okay, I'm going to use a bit of Brownsville, and I picked up some more in just really Well, this is using up a lot of my pin and for the centre, I'm using the number that I will use some green too. So I think my son pro is coming up already. I have pain this in what color before. So at a bit of orange again, that's to create some highlights. I mix a little bit. I did show this Cento try to practice a little bit before you work on these. Okay, then I have my black again. I mentioned I wantedto in a bit off green. Right? Okay, so here goes. There's for the lease. Just so you see what I mean about these parent life When I pick up the pain, I can just clear it as much as I can on the palate people and is quickly But if I use a brush, probably or the pin and not here right now, I'm still using these in my class about going to the nature toe. Observe the flowers that you actually see or you can buy the flowers toe observed from photographs. You can see two, but I think the feeling is quite different when you see the actual flower. I have seen the actress Sunflower and I actually use that for restaurants in my watercolor painting. So I have finished this. I'm quite happy to be a bit. Actually, this leaf here is lighter green. I may have toe makes it. I use my yellow green thing that I like to use a bit of cocoa, and then I need to use my palette knife. Don't mix them. And I'm getting the color quakes sparse. I need quite a smell. The game in my own lacrosse. I talk about mixing colors, so sometimes the green that we have may not be the green that we want to use, so we have to learn how to mix colors. And I taught you about the use of a column you that you can see what you can make so that you can use off color wheel too. Get the colors that you won. Women being first to say that and I keep a little bit off, you know, from my payment. So I have the lighter color Look this way. Okay, because my brushes quite dry. So I will get this kind of short, which I've been one. So I threw it. So you're seeing That's the street I'm trying to create. I use a bit off year low to Anna build water. So in move letter s oh, This is my first leaf and I have two more leaves here. I had a doctor green. I'll show you. Why? Because I'm painting the inside off the leaf now and then I have ah, Ton Pepco. So on a little bit more year low to create some interesting. I find that this one a bit too dry. So on the casa thing, the texture is right. This one a little bit dry I add on a bit off orange. Oh, yeah. To make the least a tree looks more interesting. I still not happy with this for gosh, you can actually keep layering. That is the good part about wash. Since my brush do have the pain, I'm not going to waste it. I'm going to use the tip off the brush, the pain or these small lease. But you can use your number six if you find that it's difficult to do because as I said, this watercolor paper is a little bit not so smooth as my black people. So that's the difference in painting me for wash and we painting with what a color with the color. You need expensive paper to paint where but brush we actually don't need expensive paper to ping there. Who? Well, I just This one is just a very simple black paper that I got from at or there's very easily available but comes to the detail. I will use my smaller brush because I didn't want to waste the pain on my brush. Actually, with water you can dilute it. I need another year after that. I think I'm kind of finished with these and I have to wash it because it get there. Think they're OK? Because my paper is white. I campaign quite flower. I need a pain. Maybe I pin a bit off this more flour over here, and I will double loaded. The struggle is real because all of us want to save pain. So I'm telling you, even if opened, we still can use it. We don't want to waste pain. We just make use of what we have here and sometimes So you'll be surprised at how a new combination actually can be. Quite pretty. The pain, the new combination that you're painting okay over here because I told you I don't like this. So I'm going to cover a lot of these agree leaves, but I'm gonna cover quite a lot inside. Really? I just don't like this lead so I can use what you see. The beauty off quashes that you can layer over it. What? The color you can go over. And also we don't use white. For what? The color. I'm gonna get quite a bit here. I hope you're enjoying watching painting these as much as I am in teaching you right now. Okay. I need to show you the anger off home. So take note that for this better here, I have my white facing me. Okay. The inner one will be the darker color. So I had the stones, a daisy Daisy and okay, a few more here. Perhaps I will have it this week. See the double loot and you just touch it. I need to use my number to brush. Go finish up again. I can use quite for my baby's breath. So I need to use so another color. But let me change up the power for us. You know, connection. One of my rules. Most Oudin pain like that and they don't know how toe connect up. So this is how I called up all thesis leaves. So my other class, which I just had it I think about a blessing. A man ago. Call Flora Composition. I hoped you can watch that class. It's for everyone. Actually, the floral composition will teach you how you can arrange a floor ary. Right now I have to off my rules, which is quite obvious one and in fact Oh, choir love. My Rosa here contrasts the color Contras who off the space roof, the cuts, Ruoff thoughts and focus there Almost. Or here let me just connect them. You can see the floor, right? I quite like this white lace for the center gain. Okay, well, so I think I would like Toa have instead of baby's breath, I use a bit off my move again. It's actually coming mixed with a bit off Rather a lot off white to get this color coming. We don't that feel less. It still looks a bit not as completely. The failures will go over well, sometimes they spread. Oh, maybe he's ready to, uh, being raped. But Toho Well, I still prefer the origin of car just not to see whether we are over doing it. I'm not. I connect it up too much of Breanna just makes a little bit more brown. So, as I said, the beauty off painting washes that you can lay year it over your lease, and I make it very interesting. Oh, I I kind of forgot about this part way. I want to do a ton loser. So I have my green I pick up yellow, I pick up some quite. And this is how I painted. So I have a Turnley, perhaps for here. I can still going to this way because I have a flower there? Yes. So I have a baby. You can go over if you don't like. Yeah, So I have a ton for this. Me? I just can't pin it. Duck. Go, insect. So you're see. But I know you don't not. You still can go over for wash for watercolor. I suggest that you just leave it there If you can't do much changes the wit that I don't do anything. Yes. So I have finished with this on power and, uh, okay, less Put them side by side and you can compare it s o What do you like the black one or the white one. If you like the black one, just paint on a black paper. So I see you a while later with my hydrangeas. See you. 15. Project 3 Hydrangea A mp4: in today's lesson, I'll be teaching how to pain hide Rangers. I'll be using Ho Bank washed magenta, violet, lemon yellow from Rick White and, if green and emerald green visible. Let's that beef a mix of magenta, violet and Rick Quite and use. Increase crossroads to form around circular shape. - Next , let's practice the double loading on the tip off the Round six. Brush lot mixture off magenta and violent on tip off brush and picked up white, painful Petters floors and randomly to Petters. He didn't once I wanted a lighter background for the upper portion off the hydrangea, so I add a white to eat. He was increased cross strokes again for more dimension to my hide rangers, I add lemon yellow and what for? More highlights. Again, I pain for petals three. Petters or hidden to Petters. My reference is my watercolor hydrangea, which I painted on my book Lashing Brooms. We just now available at Amazon. - If you wish to have Petters that look more muted, moist that background again before you pin the petters. I keep the top of the hydrangea with lighter colors, using more white to show that like fools day and creating that mentioned to the hide rangers at more IQ and what toe interests. - And when reaching the ages of the hydrangea do bring out the ship off the Pettus as the which can be around. We will continue the second part in my next video. 16. Project 3 Hydrangea B: for the smaller hydrangea. Apply the same training as the previous one in the last lesson. - So I mentioned earlier that I was referring to my watercolor hide Rangers and I have finished this too high ginger. Now be painting the leaves, so I'll be using the big strokes. Number six round brushed up Indies And with their mixtures that I have earlier on, you spent my palate. So this fellow was preparing last Thursday when I was doing my first video and my pains us do pretty wet. Look at this, right. I'm going to paint the lease now with my backer mix. So have a food lottery. I'm gonna use a pretty big stroke for my hydrangea knees. And I were at here. Let me see where. Okay. Here. One to quite a big one. I think I'll show you here. What struck us? One and another one high. You another one over and in doing high. So I have is quite Witte IHS pin. So over then and okay of you are painting a few, maybe one here from Hugh. While the pain is Do what I think I would like to at some like to come maybe some yellow just over it. In this way, it's a little bit like wet on wet. Yes, because it just do. But and aren't you were mixed quite well on it. I'm going toe in some small use one, maybe a light toe, one to, uh, make it more interesting. I'm again using the tip off the brush. Honey, if you can see que the pins a pretty wet I'm going in here. So I like to have a little mix off some different Kyle green. So I used a brown using the tip off the brush. I just kind of join it up. I'm waiting for these two drivers on, perhaps. Okay, here, just a little bit. Big girl one. I just tend to people. You see that I'm using, like, more water. So now it's a little bit like a water cutter. His light service, more water can actually use more water. You may just do that again to show you just with more water, I diluted and I'm treating it more like cold water Palestine because I'm using a watercolor paper. Anyway, by doing debt, I kind off has my pain light. I have the whole roof. That looks a bit lighter. It's not so Hey, V, I feel that I need to have some leaves here. So I on. But at the same time, I didn't want it to look too heavy, too. So some more leads, but lighter color. Good. Here it's the most dry because for Gua, you actually lay over. So now I would like to give a four leaf to this. It should be quite Joyner and I have ah loaded it with some light color. So I have one full didn't want, which is similar to this leave. And I think I still can book on these two. Another one s. So I kind of me these two leaves a little bit more interesting by having some full k for my bin. The brown was a little bit too much. I think I would like to have a lighter color bean. And it seemed more here a few more here, so I will just use a very light color for the Vince seem for here. Yeah, all right. I feel that I would like to have some Berries or so, So I balance it with some off my leftover pain the more off color that I have mix in my previous class and some of these. So it is screen be quite light. I'm painting it a little bit off the watercolor technique, leaving some quite. Yeah. I didn't want this to look too. Hey, be so you can actually makes two types off technique squash And what color, which I think is very interesting when you pin it that way. So using wash. But what color technique? So I kind of diluted the adding as fearless, very light. So instead, off. Like a painting like wash like that? No. Oh, but you get what I just at water because I'm gonna watercolor paper. Don't forget. Okay, so I have finished this Hi ginger painting to and altogether I have three projects for you . And I really hope that you can pin some of those projects that have done with you for these wash floors and forages class. The banana leaves. The monster relieves the ferns, some off the rose butts that have done with us. So this tree projects that are has the daisies, the sunflowers and hydrangeas. There are lots of projects to do. I really hope that you will take time to pin them, try out the wash and to post a project so that I can see your progress to. So I will see you in my next class.
