1. Intro - What is Adobe Express: Hello and welcome to Adobe express course. This is a simple course and fast course, but you will learn everything you need to know about how to create your own branding or even create any flyer menu, brochure, whatever you want to create, really fast and easy. The thing that makes Adobe express so cool is because it's so fast, because you already have so many templates that you can use and you don't have to create your own, but you can, you can create your own templates, but you'll take more advantage of the ones already made. My name is Gonzalo strong, dope certified instructor, and I'll be teaching you this course about Adobe expressed in all the advantages that you can take from this application. Whether you are a mom, but want to create a flyer for your son's birthday party or your marketing director that you want to schedule the post for your branding. This application is really powerful. So let's get started with Adobe express. This is a simple application, but you can do a lot. I'll go through everything so that you can understand exactly how the application works. So what is adult express? This is an application that you can use your own or web browser, or you can use your mobile application to create things like flyers, menus, brochures, Instagram posts, whatever you want to create. I'm sure there's a template for it. We're going to go through the catalog to see what you can create with Adobe expressed, but also create something from scratch. At the very end, I'll give you some tips and tricks to use for the project so that you can create your own project and share it with everyone. If you're like a content creator, this will help you a lot, just grading from your brand and creating multiple posts every day you can schedule them. Also. There's some little quick actions and we are going to go through them so you can see how powerful it is. If you already have your Adobe account, you can take advantage of all the premium stuff. Even if you don't have your adopt subscription, you can subscribe to a smallest subscription that you have with the express. Not only you will have Adobe express, but you also have tools like Adobe Rush or Photoshop Express. All the applications that are called Express that you can use with your mobile device. I hope you enjoyed this course and let's begin to have some fun with Adobe express. 2. Start with branding: One thing that Adobe Express is really powerful for you keep creating your own brand is using brands. And as you can see here, you can create your own brand. As you see, I already have three brands created. This is my own brands. So if I go inside one of them, you have all the logos, all the colors, the fonts, and all the templates for web pages with videos and Brandon surfaces. What this means is if you go back and create your own brand, you can upload your logo. You can pick the colors that you're mostly using on your brand and your fonts. This will show you a template over here that what you're using with your brand. Once you selected your logo picture curls, then choose your font. You press next to complete the branding. You'll go back to something like this where you can add more colors. As you can see, I already have my colors here, so I had a bunch of colors there. And I want to use only these calls, like the gray, black, purple, white, and the CN. So this is the cause for my brand. If I use more fonts, I have in here, and if I use another logo, e.g. I have my logo here, a small logo, just the icon, a white version of the logo. Because some places like this where you can personalize your logo, you can press here and you can see e.g. on the header, if the logo is the black version one or is the white one? The white one doesn't work because it's a white background. So I'll use the black one. And in the footer, you can see that I'm going to use not this one, but this one with the white, so it's over the background like this. You have your logos, you have your call to action. You have your social that you can gather there and put your social and you have your background. You can rename your brand, or you can invite people to use your branding. The great use of branding is if you start a new project, let's say we're doing an Instagram post. We choose any template, e.g. I'll choose this template. As you can see here, there are some colors being used on this template. If I go to colors, I can see that this is the current calls, but I have my video knowledge colors that I'm going to select this war that the cause of the post to my own branding. And if I don't like it, and you can shuffle the colors by just pressing again. You can also switch to another brand. If you go up here, let's say we switch to this brand. And now I have my own colors here that I can switch and use these colors. And if I don't like, I can press shuffle again just to keep shuffling until I get one that I like. 3. Exploring the app : There are two ways of using replication. One is mobile app and the web browser. On the web browser you have some more functions that in the mobile app. But still you have pretty much the same on one app and the other. It depends on you, on how you want to use it. But as you are on the go, this can be really helpful to use on the mobile app just with an iPad or even on the iPhone. You can use it. Even if you're not on your computer, you can use the app just to make that quick post and make your beautiful creations. This is your home of Adobe Express. You have all your buttons here, the plus button where you can create something. Your home projects that the project that you're working already, the brands and libraries that are shared with all applications from Adobe. The schedule, something new about scheduling posts and some learning that you can also do here. Simple videos on how to do stuff. Once you start creating a new project, you can start from a custom size or you can use the templates. As you can see here, you have Instagram stories, Instagram posts, and all of this already made templates that you can scroll and see what you have, even if it's not here. You can start from a photo or you can press V wall. And now you can see all that you have here. So many that you can see on the left side flyers, you have more than 2000, more than 10,000 Instagram posts, more than 6,000 Instagram stories. So you have a lot of templates that you can use in your benefit. If I go back to home, I can see that also, besides the Create New Project, we also have quick actions and we'll take a look at this later. You can see why it's poplar on the templates. You can see here as you go scrolling down all of the pollsters, Instagram logos, everything that you can use V to W express. As you scroll down, you see so many things that will give you ideas to create more stuff. Also, you have your recent projects here. You can chat with Adobe by an adult virtual systems. If you have any questions here, you can access your Adobe account in here, you can access all the other apps. If you have the full subscription, you have access to all of this. Once you press the plus button, you can see how many things you can create. All of these that you can create, even video in here you can see the quick actions, those actions, all of this we're going to talk about in a later model. 4. Exploring templates: If you're wondering what you can do in Adobe expressed, let us go to the catalog so that you can see all of the templates that we have here. Sometimes you might have other ideas to start on your project. But once you go through the catalog, you see that this might be a great idea for the thing that I'm wanting to create, to go through all the catalogs. If you're at home, you can see here view all. And this will show you all the templates that you have. As you can see here on the left side, you have a lot of templates. You have flyers, Instagram posts, over 10,000 Instagram posts. This is templates and when you create your own, you can even publish here. So this way, this catalog keeps getting bigger every day. There's so many things here that it can be helpful even if you're not an expert or even if you're an expert, YouTube thumbnails, There's so many YouTube thumbnails here. You get ideas from the others. If we go to the YouTube thumbnails, as you can see here, there's so many related to art, related to business education. So many that you can say, well, I'm Mike can use this but with my own colors. And if you press that like we talked in the branding, you just go to colors and just change it as your branding. And once you're already tweaking your term now also, what you can do is add another page, e.g. making multiple YouTube thumbnails. Here we can press in another one and add as a page. So what we'll have is to toenails differently. And down here you can see them both. So now you have e.g. two thumbnails and you can see what works best for you. 5. Create from scratch: So in this model, we're going to create one from scratch. We'll press the plus sign and will create e.g. an Instagram post. Because we are creating an Instagram post, we already have the size for the post. We can start from a template. You can grab anything from here, or you can go by here with the colors you have, your brand colors. You can change the brand wherever you want. I'll use this brand for now. And I'll see my animations, my layouts resides, designs. And if I can apply the brand here and the variations and everything. So let's say we want to some shapes. We'll go into shapes. You have your brand shapes here, all the shapes that you need. If you need a phone, if you want to search something, let's say square. If you press square, there's all kinds of squares here. A lot of shapes that you can use, e.g. let's use this one. You just drag over to the side, have your snap to grab it to the background, e.g. and if you want to resize this, you can resize it as you want. Now we have our square over there. This is our background. And now we'll grab another square, e.g. and I'll grab this one, and I'll put it over here and just re-size again. Do it like this. So now I have a background. Let me change colors, e.g. I'll just use another color, like white. You don't have to use the colors from your brand. You can just do any other one, e.g. this one is to, the color is too intense R1 to bring down the opacity. So it comes down a little bit like that. If you want to access your layers, as you can see here on the right side, you have all your layers. You can access that one. You can access this one, the white, you can access the background. And e.g. this one, okay, good. Replaced with something. Or if I check here, I can duplicate. I can replace this shaped by another tip that I have selected, or I can put it down, e.g. like this. Now, the layer is behind the other one. As you can see now here the stripes are over that one, but you can also organize like this. This is pretty straightforward. So now we can add some texts, e.g. let's add some text, a lot of texts already made. Let's put this out of office. I don't like the color of out-of office. Let me just replace the color. I'll put it like that. Why is it changing the background? Because you have selected the layer. So just go back, be careful about that. Just select the new layer. And you can see here font recommendations. Now I can change my font. I can make it bigger like this. And let's change the texts out of offices, alright? So I can put it like this, out of office, instead of being a square here, you can have all the fonts that you have installed on your Adobe express. If you want to install a new font, you have to go to your files and install your new font. Does an option there for you to install your own font. But let me just grab one because it will look like this. You have the options centered off to derive off to the left and curved like this, or just all of it as agreed as its magic. And all of these kind of already set up in indice button, you can make any variations like this, like that. Curved if you don't want any thing just straight, just put it back there. And this is the line spacing. If it's more space or not. The letter spacing, you have all of these options. You can even give a shadow or you have your shape in here. You can see the shape if you press there in the color. Let's put a black e.g. and you have the shape. So I can use this shape. I can use this one. There's so many shapes I can use. Let me use this one. Okay, this is cool. This is the shape stretching outside of the texts and even the opacity. So even you have an outline for the text. I'll put it outline like this and like this. Now, e.g. I. Could just put a sentence here like this one. And instead of having this, I'll just edit the shape. As you can see here, this is a group. So you can go inside the group, open group and you have to lettering. So here I can change this one, e.g. by me and the texts sentence I could say, but I will be back soon, alright, by me. So this is my post out of office, but I will be back soon by me. And now all you have to do is just download. You can download by PNG, PNG with a transparent background. And here, have to remember what is background transparent? Because this box over here is not transparency. We build up a white box, but between the lines over here, it will be transparent. You have your jpegs, PDFs, or you can start download, or you can even share directly, just publish to social media, to your account. You can even open with a mobile app if you don't have it connected with your phone and everything, or make a template out of this. Because if you want to just put another message in here and this is done, this is the, our design from beginning, and this is pretty straightforward. It's very easy to use. And I believe you'll have the most out of it. You'll take the most out of it. All of this that you have, you can even hear create down here to see more pages, e.g. if you want to build up more pages because you want to build a version of this. You can even duplicate this one and make another version of it. Then you can export or you can look out up here. Which option do you want to communicate and have a bunch of options and just a few pages and select them all. And then if you want to share like, like a carousel or something, you could also do that. There's so many things you can do with this. Let's say we want to change brand. Now I want to apply my brand to this. And as you can see, it puts my logo over there, okay, and the colors are changing. The only limitation with this, Here's your creativity. You can search within here all the templates. So you can be inspired by other creations. There's a lot of stuff that you can see. So really take advantage of this. This could be helpful for anything. 6. Quick actions: One of the things that Adobe Express is introducing here is quick actions. Sometimes you might need to remove the background of an image, or other times you just need to resize an image, convert to give convert to mp4. There are so many quick actions. So when you go to your homepage, you see all the quick actions here, the most popular ones, but you can press V wall to see the other actions. As you can see, there's so many quick actions that you can take advantage of. E.g. one is removed background. This is something very useful. Let's see how it works. We'll drag and drop one image here. Let's use e.g. this image. Now it's working on removing the background. And as you can see, it did a good job. Then you can download and now you can use your image. It's really easy to use. These are the simple ones you can resize an image, remove a background, convert to JPEG, PNG crop an image, or converted to SVG. These conversions usually are very useful when you're on your phone or your tablet because you might not have access to Photoshop or something. But if you're on the desktop and you have access to your Photoshop, you don't actually need any of these. But also we have edit your video, e.g. just dream a video. Most of mobile devices can trim already the video so you might not want to need this or resize the video. Merge videos. This is better because you might want to put together a video, not like editing video, but you can merge two videos together. So if you're doing something with TikTok or something, you might want to merge both. Convert to give is very useful because you might want to grab a little piece of video and converted to give, to use it on Instagram stories, e.g. e.g. corrupt video is useful if you want to remove some of the parts of the video. Let's say it has a bar or something beneath the video. And you want to remove that, you can change speed of the video. You can convert it to mp4, or you can reverse the video, playing it backwards. Most of these editing, if you're doing the Adobe express packaging, all of these can be done using Adobe Rush. Other conversions, e.g. convert to PDF. You can drag a Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint or image file to convert to PDF. This is actually very useful also, or you can convert from PDF into one of these documents if you're already working with Max, that combining PDF files, it's useful. But here you can also do that. And here you can actually combine multiple files, e.g. PDF with an Excel. We've a PNG and JPEG and all of these ones. Another thing that you might find useful is the Generate QR code. You can generate a QR code, e.g. for your website and put it over there in your creations. Let's say you're creating an invite and you want to put a QR code so people can access e.g. the Google Maps. If you just press the address to the Google Maps, copy the link pasted here, generate the QR code, and then download the image, input it in your invite. That way, people will find easily your address. 7. Exercise - Instagram post: So I wanted to challenge you to create something within an exercise here for the course. And I want to challenge you to create like an Instagram posts for your own course. Whether it's a cooking course of photography course, ceramics course, whatever it is, you can look through courses here already created. If you just type course, you can see all of these templates and you can just do your own. So looking forward to see what you create, and I'll see you in the next one. 8. Adobe express update 2023: So this is an update on the Adobe Express course. Today we are looking at some new features that the application has once you go online. What you have new is the social media video in marketing and generative AI. So all of these options are separated from what we learned previously. But in the options we have a lot of stuff that we can go through in social media. Mostly what this focus on is social media content. But now with the video, we have much more templates and the ability to design all of these animations. For example, let's get into this is too popular. We'll see that we have Tiktok video, Instagram story, Facebook post Instagram real. If we go inside here. Tiktok video, for example, we can create from scratch. Or we can browse templates. Let's browse Templates. As you can see, you see a whole new feature here where you see some animated templates that you can start from this or you can create your own from scratch. As you can see, this looks like a very similar basic video editor and this is actually what it is. Let's try to open just one and see how this is constructed. Let's say this is the one we can select this one. What we see here is a couple of videos. These are long videos. As you can see. We see it by Tum Nail. You can zoom out here so you can see the whole project. And you can press play to see what's happening. If we put our playhead in the beginning and we want to just look at what it's doing, Remind yourself that this is online applications. If you have a slow Internet, this will make it slower. But if you press Play, you can see there's almost not 5 seconds, like half a second over there in the beginning. Then it jumps a little bit and then jump again, and jump again. I don't know what's the purpose of the jumps, but I actually don't like it too much. But nonetheless, you have the animations here. What happens is, once you click on here, you can see the whole layers, whatever is animating. And you can see this object, this one, this 11 and that one. You see them all. If you want to see the timing of the animation, you can also show layer timing. And you can see the layer animation here. Let's say we don't want to use until the end of this clip. We can actually go out on the end of it and make it smaller, or the opposite way, make it bigger. The only thing is because this is by scenes, you cannot put an image crossing scenes. This is a limitation. Of course, if you're using a video editing software, you can actually do this, the whole video like this. In this case you cannot, so you have to work with that. Let's say we want to animate this. Once you select the layer, you have a couple of options here from field border, whatever the object is, border thickness, for example. This one. We can change it. Let's put it a dash like that. Let's put the border with some color. It's my clicking. I was clicking too fast. Let's just use this. Okay, I have my thickness over here, Maybe it's smaller, a little bit. Now I can work with the animation. As you can see, it's a tumble lean, but let's delete that one. And let's click. And you have a bunch of them like bunge or drift or drop, fade, flicker, grow in all these animations, you can play with them a little bit. Most of these are what you need to make. For example, a real, this is very useful that you have here. Let's say a slide. Let's say on the looping we want a blob thing, it's jumping around a bob on the out. I want to fade. What we'll do is at the beginning it's sliding in, then it's Bob, and then on the way out is fading out as long as you have this. If you extend the video here, I can extend the timing of the video. As you can see, you select the layer to adjust timing. If I select this layer, probably this layer, I don't have much time. Actually I do. Because this is a full length video. I can adjust the timing. Now you can see that the whole timing of the video is filling up. That you can create all of these if you're not too creative with animations. That's the good thing about templates. Because you can go back and just use one of these templates. And you have so many, If you're using a free version, it is limited of course. But you can also go here and press the filter. If you do the free, you have 270 options for animations. Let's say we're doing this, just start a new file, for example, this one. We'll start a new file with this one. As you can see, we're going to have the animation of this title. We have timing over there where you see the options. If I press play, it's 50 K followers and it's showing, thank you, whatever it is, and that's your animation. Let's start at the beginning. I select this. If I want to add a video, I can click here. This is the video. Now we see the guys loading. It's not actually yet loaded. Let me see if it's loading too much. You have some limitations of what you can do. For example, remove the background. All of this depends on what you're using, the paid version or not. Let's say you want to see what's the differences here. The free, you have 25 generative credits a month and remove the background and have a little one here. The one is Enjoy Limited Free. Remove Background Quick Actions Unlimited with the Dope Express Premium Plan. If you're using the premium plan that's $10 a month, you can have the remove background unlimited. You have 250 generative credits. And we'll look into the generative AI inside of that. If we go back, we can see here our video. We have the guy, it's not still showing up. It's probably loading steel. But I'm going to remove him and just use another one. If I want to remove this video, I can go here where it says video. And at the first button I can set, replace. Now I could grab something else. Let's say person. I have all of these. Let's say this is the guy. Okay? As you can see, now I have that video over there. Let's change this yellow into that blue, for example. Okay, let's use the pick, let's pick that blue over there. Well, as you can see, we have still a little bit there, but it's almost done. Let's select the background. Okay, The background is here. The title. Okay, background color here. Let's put black like that. Maybe you don't like the font. Let's change the font. We'll select this. Or maybe you're not celebrating 50 K, celebrating something else. Let's say it's 75 like this in here. Is your video ready to be exported? As you can see is as simple as this. There you go. Then all you need to do, you can do download and once you press download, the file format usually best for video P, four original size 1080. You also have four K. I actually recommend four if it is for Instagram or Tiktok, because it's going to be resized to 1080, you could download and upload from your phone, or you can actually go here and share, and share to your accounts, but you have to have this configurated. This is all about the video and creating templates with video. If we go back to here, this is social media. If we go inside video, it's the same thing. You'll find the most similar templates. You can do a video like this if we start from scratch, for example, Like this. What you have here is the same timeline. You can add scenes, you can add the clip. For example, let's add this clip, then I'll add another scene, and I'll add this one. As you can see, I'm doing video editing even if I want to do some transitions on the plus sign, I'll click here at the transition. The transitions we have mostly it's about dissolve. Slide more are coming soon. This one is actually very useful, dip to black, but you could also put some scene here. Let's say if you want to do that dip to black, I'll put the black ground color black. I'll just, instead of 5 seconds, I'll resize this into. Maybe 1 second only. Now I add a transition here with a dissolve on this one. Also a transition dissolve transition dissolve. Now you have a fa to black. Look at this. Goes to black and goes up. Sometimes you just have to be creative to make things work. This is a very simple video editing software, but it's $10 a month. And you get all of these things and you can manage your own networks here. The other thing that is also new is that you now have generative AI here. You can do a text to image, you can do generative feel to remove something. Or you can do text to template or even text effects. For example, text to image. Let's say I want images celebrating 50 K. Now what it's doing is generating an image celebrating 50 K. You have the content type as you can see here. You have more options. Look at the results. More options is generating all of this. Let's say it's like this, This is one image. But if you want to make it a little better because you don't like the colors, or you want to change something like this instead of using text to image. In this case, because this is very specific, I could use for example the text to template 50 K celebration. Now what we will do, it will create a template with this in mind, generating images. You have access to changing the text and those things here as you can see, 50 K celebration. Let's go with this one. If you click on this one, it's actually opening the template that you can now add it. Let's say that was just the beginning. It worked fine. The other one, you cannot change the image on this one, you can actually go here. Now you see all those elements loading this 50. Now you can reduce the size. It's a little slow. You have to keep in mind, this is all online software, you can make some adjustments. I don't like the purple, Let's say. I'll go here, change the color to whatever color I want in this image. Is the same thing here, free for all. Maybe I want to increase this. This is much better creating the template instead of creating the image if it's something like this. But let's say you don't like this fireworks, maybe you want to generate other fireworks. To generate a new one, press text image color for fireworks exploding in the night sky. Okay, let's do, instead of that, let's make it neon. And now it will replace the image. Here we go. Now I would rather have this one. Okay, this is much better. Maybe the background instead of white. Let's go with something like this. Or even if I have my own brands, I could do that color over there or just something. Maybe the square here also dark, feel like this. Okay, now I started with a template, I designed something, and then I made my own tweaks. And this is very helpful. Even if you want to animate this, you always have the options for animation. You go here, animation in, Let's do a rise. We go. As you can see, it's now ready to export. You can even add the timeline of this. Let's say it's too slow. You can actually add the timeline now instead of 5 seconds, let's do 10 seconds. You can increase this. Here we go, 10 seconds. Now you have the Ani Maine in whatever it is you can do here. Let's say you want to split this and remove something, or do another transitions or make another image. You can actually right click here, make a split. Let's say on this second one. I don't want this, this layer here, I just want to remove it. Maybe I want to this here also. Maybe. Okay, just to give you an example, it will, it will jump to this one. Now you have 5 seconds with that one, 5 seconds with the other one. You're already editing your video that you need. This is the main update on this, I really hope you enjoy.
