About This Class
Doodles bring such relaxation and pleasure! I’ve found that if I have a theme in mind, doodles come more smoothly for me. I’ve created a Autumn Doodle class that is full of acorns, oak leaves, maple leaves, berries, and a variety of vines. If you’d like to add Autumn colors, I also take you through adding a beautiful Autumn palette of colors using a wet-on-wet technique. If you’ve never painted before, you’ll have a great result as this project is for every ability.
Before diving into the project itself, I take you through a quick guide on how to draw each element, so you can pick and choose what you want to include in your Autumn Doodle. Yes, this is perfect for your sketchbook, but it also opens the creative possibility to more projects like taking a vine and running it down a bookmark as a gift for teachers, or creating a seating card with an acorn and oak leaf for your dinner table or on the corner of a note card. There are magical ideas with the variety of Autumn leaves and doodles you’ll learn.
While teaching I demonstrate, explain, and offer clear close up videos to assist in the learning process. Feel free to stop and re-watch these videos along the way as often as needed to complete each step. The skills you’ll learn will easily transfer to your future artwork and elevate your inking, painting abilities, and confidence.

Meet Your Teacher
Hi, I'm Kerrie.
I remember at age 5 standing in front of an easel, picking up a paint brush, and I don't think I ever set it down. I have a passion for building others skills and confidence in art.
I've published pattern kits, a painting book, and I've taught workshops, classes, and many students over the years. I'm self taught but have traveled the world learning from talented teachers.
I teach my classes in real time which let's you be in control of your learning pace. You can speed up, slow down, stop and start the videos as needed to make sure you have the best experience possible.
I'd be tickled to be part of your self-discovery in the art world. Join me and let's have some relaxed fun learning together.

Hands-on Class Project
Your project is to create a Autumn Doodle artwork design using ink doodles with line contouring, and if desired add a watercolor background utilizing the wet-on-wet instructions provided. Simply follow the videos which demonstrate the techniques step-by-step, stopping and repeating the videos as needed. When your Autumn Doodle art is complete, show me the variety of techniques you utilized, by sharing a picture of your art in the Class Gallery. I’ll take a look and share my thoughts with you and offer feedback. I’m so excited to see what you create!
Click on the blue SUBMIT PROJECT button on this page (to the right) to share your project.
Click on the photos provided to see my finished work as well as the pattern. I also include these on screen in the videos as you take each chapter for easy reference while you ink and paint.
