1. Course Intro & Overview: hi I'm generals on, and I run a creative studio based out of the Midwest called Bella Sophia Creative. I focus on graphic design, surface pattern design and illustration. I have a background working in the fashion industry and teaching in higher education, specializing creating surface pattern designs and other illustrated digital media for the fashion product and stationery industries. You may know me from my previous classes here on skill share, which have focused on things like trend forecasting, tropic design and digital planning. As you saw in my latest class How to create Digital Planner stickers. Some of my top selling products are my digital planners physical and digital sicker sets. In my Etsy shop, I wanted to share more tactile version of that course that actually created physical planner stickers. For some people, paper planning is the way to go, and crafting your own stickers gives you a fantastic creative outlet that allows you to customize your planner layouts. Justus you would like. Creating physical stickers is not nearly as hard as you think, and I wanted to share some tips, my knowledge and help you build a physical sticker sap that you can customize to your needs and wants and put them out easily at home. Using your cricket machine. Thes sticker sets give your planner a really personal touch.
2. What You Will Learn : So in this class you will learn how to create a physical sticker set in procreate and then cut it out using a cricket machine. I really enjoy using procreate for creating illustrated stickers because it gives you the flexibility of the undo option. And yet it still feels really similar to drawing in the real world, which in turn gives your work a little bit more of a loose feeling. You're also able to export your sticker file as a PNG file without a background. This basically allows you to prepare them for your cricket machine and be able to easily cut them out. This course is a fantastic class to get comfortable using procreate as you're going through the whole basic process of creating in the program. And then at the end, with your project, you actually get to have something tangible. So what are some of the skills that you will learn? You will learn how to create your own physical planner stickers and procreate, and you'll also learn how to use the cricket machine to cut them up. We're going to start with the basics of understanding the appropriate work space. Then we'll look for inspiration and then we'll start to blister stickers and work in layers . Finally, we will export our final file as a PNG and load that to the cricket design space, and it'll set up our file to print and cut. You can use the stickers that you created. This class is a freebie for your Etsy shop or as a promotional item. Or you can sell the ones that you design on your Web site or a site like that. See, so all you need to take this class is your iPad with procreate, a cricket cutter machine, access to the cricket design space, and you're good to go.
3. Project Overview : So for your class project, we will be creating an illustrated sticker sheet. You're going to learn how to create your own illustrated stickers in procreate, and then we'll be cutting them using the cricket machine. This class is geared towards beginners. You don't need any prior experience using the appropriate software as I'm going to be going over the basics and help you get comfortable using the program. But some very basic technical abilities will be needed, as I will be showing you step by step, how to use appropriate after on the iPad and then how to navigate the cricket designed space program online. Or if you have the desktop version, they're very much the same. But how to basically navigate through that system? I hope you enjoy this course. Let's create something great together.
4. Basics of Procreate : So before we get into actual project, I wanted to quickly go through the basics of the procreate interface. So I'm working with an iPad. Throw the 10.5 inch. It's an older model, but I do have the most recent, uh, I less software on it. We are at your main screen of your iPad, Richard. On you can click on your icon wherever it is on your screen. I have it in my docking bar just for ease of use. Since I use it so often, we click on it. It'll then pop up the procreate gallery. So I have a bunch of folders and a bunch of projects need to organise this. But when we look at this, my most recent artworks will be at the top. And then well, you also notice is that I have these things called stacks. Where has multiple files kind of organized on lumped together, attend to organize projects by this. So, for example, my kids projects prints that I'm working on sticker pack finals, um, as well as anything, maybe that I'm creating from a YouTube channel and things like that. But like I said, I have to organize mine event. So I want to go straight to what I have in my most recent area. These air the stickers that were going to be working on today in this class. But before we do that, I want to go over the interface. Once we're in the actual poor create interface, you'll see you have an upper toolbar, and then you have a little slider type tool bar on the left hand side. If we click on gallery, it'll take us back to our gallery and in the main gallery you have select import photo, and plus you can select different files and group them together. You can import files from elsewhere in your iPad file system. You can add a photo from your photo role and then, if you the plus button, you can actually create a new canvas. There's all kinds of template ID canvases already. I tend to use the four by six um, in the eight by eight a lot as well as a 4000 by 4000 pixel ones, because I'm working with creating service pattern sends. But for my sticker template to tend to use the four by six inch one we're going to go into the most recent artwork, though I utilized the 8.5 by 11 and if we click on it, it will take us to remain art board. What you'll see is I have too little squares, which is our layers. If you click on those that will show what's on each of those layers, the background color is white here. I wanted to remove it because, as you'll see as we move on into the class, once we export thes, we want to make sure that they don't have a background there s so that we can load improperly in appropriate or in, uh, in the crooked design space. You can add new layers by clicking on the plus. And what's nice with layers is that basically it allows you to create, um, and organized, and it allows you to create a file system and organize your artwork so that it's easier to add it. For the sake of this class, we're gonna be working. Um, each each of the flowers here will have their own layer. What we're looking at is kind of like the final piece before at our our sticker Die cut line. Um, but before this, each of these flowers were on their own. Layers have made it easy to edit without having to worry about, you know, ruining or messing up something else on one of the other drawings. But what sizes with layers is that you could just add these layers and you can draw on top of them and you're not gonna mess with any of the other layer. So even though I drew on top of the hat doesn't ruin it, because I can just delete that layer, so to delete the layer, what you'll do is your drag the layer to the left and then you'll see lack duplicating delete laughter. Layer means you cannot added it. Duplicate means basically, you're creating a copy of it, and then, if you delete it, it'll delete the layer. Also, some really nicely or functions in here. If you're familiar with photo shop, you'll understand them. Um, we don't be using up too much day, but I do want to show that they are in here. If we look at this and you click on that little and you'll be able to go into the layer menu functions you can change the opacity, which basically, um, she makes things look see through or makes it darker. You can darken your layers, you can multiply. Earlier, we will be using multiply, which kind of helps the soften the effects when we're adding some of the texture on top of our drawings. And then there's, ah, bunch of other options here that we're not going to go through today, Um, but I'm hoping to go through in a different class. Now, if you click on the little icon with your image in your layers, it will pop up another additional menu. This is where you can rename your layers. You can also so lacked your layers. It just like multiple layers at a time. You can copy a layer conf. Fill your layer with the color you can use Alfa lock and mask, and basically, Alfa Lock allows it so that when you are, you know, working on another layer and you wanna only, you know, edit or adjuster. You know, revised colors or shapes within something that you've already drawn. It allows the pixel cyst a within whatever is already colored. So if we return on awful lack, we grab, say this Inca brush and went, add a little bit of texture with the screen color I can color on top of it. And on Lee, the areas that are colored will be edited. You do want to make sure that when you're working with Alfa Lock, you're also working with a clipping mass so you don't add it. The original image it you're working on. So what I like to do is when I turn it off lock, I'll create a layer above it. And then on that layer, I will select clipping mask, and then I can color and add my texture on top versus on the original file. And then if I don't like it, I can just turn it off or delete it. That also brings me to the concept of clipping masks. Clipping masks are very similar to offer. Lock basically clips down into whatever you're working with in the space, Be low. It, um, I like to use masks all the time when I'm adding texture or one of adding shadows so that I don't go outside of the line, so to speak. You can also merge layers together, and you could also reference layers, we will be using the reference option. Um, when you're working with Leinart, if you select reference, um, on your line art layer, it will allow you to actually reference the lines in there and then you couldn't drag and drop colors directly from you're a paint palette. So let's do this as an example. So I'm gonna draw a circle really quickly on this new layer using the technical pen, and I have a nice, clean line. And then what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna select reference, and it'll allow me to click on my color icon, and it will fill the color within the lines reference on the art board. It just makes coloring in a lot quicker. Now, if you like the whole idea, like actually physically coloring your spaces in like you might do with a coloring book or coloring pencils, then by all means do that home. But what I like to do is just make things quicker and then add shadows and effects is I go just because they think it's a little bit more, um, efficient when I'm coloring this way. So now I want to step outside of the layers. Next you'll find the eraser icon, and this allows you to erase anything on your layer that you are working with so you can actually erase with specific brushes. So say you're drawing with a smooth pencil brush. You're going to probably want to your base with smooth pencil brush of that it look similar , Um, and then on the left hand side, in these sliders, you can change house big. The brush size is by dragging that little slider bar up or down. Toe up makes larger dynamics that smaller, and then the little arrow below it is your brush opacity. So you can again how how opaque it is. If you drag it all the way up, it's gonna be fully opaque. If you drag it down, it's gonna become more see through. So we're on this and you use it. It will erase whatever you are working on on your art board, and what's nice is with this because it's on a separate layer. I'm not gonna ive race what's already on the other layer with the actual artwork I'm not to . That is the smudge tool. If you take two colors together, we're gonna use like a marker brush. Take two colors together. You can actually use the smudge tool to smudge of their colors. And again, just like with the eraser tool, you couldn't pick the type of brush that you're gonna smudge with, and it'll smudge it together. Just kind of like you. What you might do when you're working with see, for example, like actual paints or something like that, you can add more paint, then use your smudge er and just kind of smudge it. And then you go back to your racer and you raise it now to zoom in. What you'll do is you'll take two fingers onto your art board and then you'll spread them out on the screen and it'll zoom in. And if you bring in Dragon back in, it'll zoom back in. If you take three fingers and you dragged down, you're gonna get some additional options. Um, you'll get cut like you can cut certain areas. Copy. Copy all cut and paste, copy and paste, and you can use the little select I can't over here in the left hand side console. Elect different items you need to make sure you're on your correct layer, though, and you can select different items. And then if you take three fingers dragged down, you can cut. An item can paste an item you can copy and paste, and I'll give you an additional item if you take two fingers, Um, and Tak, it'll undo your transform. If you double tap, it'll undo your imported image. If you double tap again, it'll undo what you did prior. Now I want to get into the brush is this is probably the most raved about part of procreate is the brush library. My brush library actually has some imported brushes, as well as the brushes that are already included in procreate. The brushes included appropriate are fantastic. You really don't need to necessarily purchase any additional ones. A lot of ones. I haven't hear our freebies from other artists. Some I have purchased, Um, but the library that is included in procreate is fantastic fun with the most recent update , they added some additional brushes. That just really blew me away. They were fantastic. Um, they really do a good job of kind of bringing in traditional more tactile art, you know, art supplies. So to speak into this digital world. So you have sketching brushes. My favorites are peppermint as well as the six B, an HB pencil and the technical pencil for thinking this is like the line work that you'll do after you do a sketch. There is the technical pun that I really like a lot as well as a studio pen. If you're going for more of a brush tips type of vibe girl stinky think is really nice. There's also dry ink and marker, which are good at Inc lead if you want more of, ah, kind of like thicker, darker but more pencil leave feel versus, like, a really fine marker tip. But for this class for actually going to be using the technical pen when we outline our work, Um, there's also pens for drawing. Um, these were just a little bit more textured. There's pence for calligraphy, again allowing for thick and thin strokes. Um, painting for. I'm laying down flat colors and they're not so, so much flat as this has a lot of texture, but it allows you to paint and larger swaths of area, so there's goulash. There's ah, watercolor, Oriental brush, dry brush Stoeckel. These are all really great brushes for adding texture in the art work that I do. There's also the artistic brushes again. Ah, lot of texture tryingto, you know, replicate some of the things that you'll see in the real world. There's also the air brushes, which are great for shadows and other texturizing effects. There are some textures and here as well, like the grid texture and decimals and diagonal. Um, would there's abstract textures in here. Charcoal is which are fantastic for a bit more of a traditional art field. There's also different elements, like water and oceans. If you're if you use this a lot for perhaps background illustration and things like that, Um, and then I have a bunch of imported brushes as well half tones and brushes from you know, other you tubers. Like every Tuesday. Um, there's brushes from actual artist's and illustrator's that have been able to get from gum road and things like that. So, um, there's lots of stuff that you could do with ease. I'm gonna keep it really simple, though, today because I wanna get us at least going. So we get used to the process and then you convey I've deeper in terms, off working with procreate and general after you do this class. So now that we're done with the brushes, I'm gonna go through the icons towards the gallery area. The arrows literally the selection arrow. You can select items on your page and you can rotate them. Um, you can flip thm Ah, I always suggest that when you do your selector, selector by Cuba or selector interpolation, which is that little circle with kind of like the grid inside of it. And make sure you select by cubic so that you don't have to encounter any issues with picks . Elation as you're working. Um, next to the direct selection arrow is the free hand selection. This allows you to, like use your apple pencil to draw this auction that you are creating rather than just selecting the whole item, you can select something specific, and again if you take your three fingers dragged down on your screen, you'll get this little pop up and copy, cut, copy and paste. And then again, if you double tap with your fingers, you can undo if we go into that little like magic wand icon, that is our adjustments icon, you're able to adjust the opacity, add some Ghazi Ambler, which is really great for shadows. Um, you can use perspective where you can sharpen items and sexually great if you pull in photos into I'm pro grade. But a gun. This also works really well. With illustration you can liquefy items, you can clone them. You can adjust your color, balance your hue, saturation and brightness. And again, if you want to undo, you just have to double tap on. Then if we go next to the adjustments, you'll get that little ranch icon and these are your actions. Um, this is where you will save and share your files. We will specifically be using the share function. Um, and we will be sharing as a PNG. You can also add ah, file. So say, for example, perhaps you're working from an image like a reference image can insert a five or a photo. You can take a photo with your iPad. You can add tax. And if you add tax, what's nice is you can actually edit the style, and you can change it to whatever fund to have loaded onto your iPad. You can change the different styles from regular italic bold. You can change size, the current ing, the tracking, the letting your baseline and again same with capacity, and you can also change attributes. So if you want it to be left, aligned right, aligned or centered you had done, it will take you out of there. Go back to your wrench icon. Um, again, you can use that selection tool, and you can and said during the three fingers wiping down. You could also just go to your wrench tool and hit, cut or copy, and then you can hit pace and I'll put it back. If you go to your canvas, it'll allow you to crap and resize your canvas. Um, if you're working on creating Jeffs, you can turn on your animation assists to concern on the drawing guide. If you would like to have a grid, you could also flip your canvas horizontally or vertically, and also you can click on your canvas information and I'll show you how big your canvas is and what the D P I is. I always like to work at least 300 dp I or more. It will also show you the number of layers you can create in your file your type of color profile that you're working with, the video settings and the statistics off. Like the track time that procreate has been recording your work. If you go to your preferences, you can change your interface from light to dark. You could also change right hand on the right hand interface. I like to turn it off because I'm a righty and a 10 Tell IQ work very much on that side, so it's easier for me to have my interface to the left. You could also change your undue delay, your selection Max Mask of visibility. You can add it your pressure curve. I like to keep it just as it is, though, and then you can also get help. You can restore purchases. You can get the procreate handbook. There's advanced settings that you can go to into your actual settings on your iPad, and that is basically the interface that you'll be working with inappropriate
5. Sticker Styles and Types: before we jump into the design process, I want to go over stickers. We typically see two types functional and creative. In my last class, we focused on functional. These are no frills, straightforward type of stickers. They helped to keep track of dates, keep track of events, helped organize life. They tend to lack decor, and they're very much focused on being efficient. But in this class, we're gonna be focusing on the creative types Tiggers. These are visually pleasing the track and celebrate memorable moments organization. But they have aesthetic. They could be meditative. They can be more time consuming to create. They have a bit of a scrapbooking flair. In this case, we're gonna be illustrating a set of floral inspired stickers. In addition to the style of stickers, we also have two additional types. Kiss cut stickers are light surface cuts on stickers. Kiss cuts do not cut the backing material of the sticker paper, which allows for that kiss cut Feel, which allows for the seekers to be pilled off of the sheet, will also be making die cuts stickers today and these are were you cut the entire sticker out so that it becomes kind of like a custom shape that you have designed. These are just a few of the styles that I've created for my Etsy shop. Die cut stickers are fun to create sticker packs with You have multiple stickers that all have similar concepts but that are individually cut, for this class will be creating both. Ah will first go through the whole design process, and then I'll take you into designing a kiss cut sheet and then, at the end of the class, will also create a set of died cuts with the exact same designs that we've been creating.
6. Finding Inspiration: we will be using Pinterest defined inspiration for the flowers that we will be drawing. Pinterest is a fantastic option for finding inspiration. It's film mainly with visual content, such as photos and infographics, collages, graphics, illustrations and other kinds of images. And it's really a haven for those who seek inspiration and new ideas. Pinterest allows you to pin images on the go and examine them later if you don't have the time to do it now, or you just don't want to lose track of them. And this features elsewhere really great for businesses. Research has shown that Pinterest has quite a higher referral weight than some other social media platforms, like Facebook and Twitter. So because printers is all about finding inspiration, I wanted to use it as the basis for our search for florals. You just have to type in whatever you need to be inspired by, and you'll instantly find hundreds of ideas that you can quickly pin to your own boards in the process is two ways, so by pitting and creating boards yourself, you also help other people find ideas for their projects to to get results that best correspond to what you're looking for. The suggestions that Petra's shows allow you to narrow down your search results two categories of what people usually match for your type of word that you're typing in, um will be searching for very simple flowers to draw for this course.
7. Sketching Your Flowers: Oh, now I want to go over some tips for sketching as we begin the creative process. Flowers air really an easy item to draw and could be created with simple shapes. I wanted to pick three simple flowers, a daisy sunflower and something similar to an a nominee, and then also added some simple leaves. Way will be using the six beef pencils to sketch out these initial elements. You can create a new layer to begin your sketch, and you can rename it sketch. So when it comes to creating these flowers, you want a first break down the flower into simple shapes. For example, you can start out as a line for the stamina. Simple oval shape for where the puddles are. I like to start with a circle for my center and then add elongated ovals around it for the pedals. And then I can add in details. I refined the pedal shape as we go, and I keep in mind how they overlap each other. It's not all linear in terms of how you're placing these. I want it to feel organic. The third step involves refining the shapes even further in adding and smaller details like puddle veins and textured centers. Keep in mind that this doesn't have to be perfect, and the idea is just to get used to drawing the shapes and flushing them out as you go. We will do this for all the other flowers, and then we'll move from the sketch phase two. The thinking phase as you finish your sketches. If you find that you want to fill your page out a bit more, you can use your lasso tool to select her on the flower. You would like to copy and then copy and paste using that copy and paste function. Remember, you just have to drag your three fingers sound on your screen and then hit copy and paste, and the additional elements will be added to your screen, and then you could move them around, as you would like by then switching to the selection arrow
8. Inking Your Illustrations: Oh, once your sketches are complete, we can create a new layer on top of the sketch layer. You could rename this layer inked or thinking. Then you can lower the opacity of your sketch layer and will begin tracing over it on the new layer with the technical pens you can adjust the line with as you see fit. And once we're done with the outlining slash thinking, we're going to create a new layer, and we're gonna drag this layer under the inking layer and rename it color.
9. Coloring & Shading Your Illustrations: now to color, we'll color on the new layer labeled color. This layer is placed under the incline so that the color doesn't go over those darker inclines. You conceal that colors based off a palette that you already have, or use the color picker to sell our colors that have harmony just aesthetically pleasing color combinations. I'm using complementary colors. Complementary colors are any two colors, which are directly opposite each other, such as red and green and red, purple and yellow green. Any combination like this works really well. In order to quickly color, we will be using the reference layer function. You'll need to go to your inking layer. Click on the image thumbnail and select reference. This will allow you to drag color into your outlines quickly. You do need to make sure all of your lines are completely closed. In order for the color to not flood the canvas, use the color circle to pop out the color menu. You can use the color picker to change the color options. You can then drag that color into your palates below it. I'm going with some pale yellows, pale pinks, browns and greens for my palate. then you'll want to select the color you will begin working with, and then you can drag it directly from the color. Circle into the image, making sure that you're on the color layer and will only fill within the confines of your drawing line. You couldn't color in any errors that are too small or not completely closed in just with your Silas. Once you finish filling each of the sections, you can create another layer on top of your color layer but under your inking layer and rename it shadows. We were had shadows for some depth clicking on your shadow layer. Click on the end and change it from normal to multiply and bring Europe ass ity down to about 43%. Then, for each item, you're adding shadows to just select a lighter version of the original color. So, for example, for the pink, I would pick a lighter pink and so on for each of the other colors. When it comes to shadows, think about where your light source might be and where darkness is likely to appear on your elements. I added to areas that are overlapping or lines that are meant to be recessed. Once you finish adding all the shadows, we will move on to adding cut lines and propping your file for export.
10. Grouping Layers: now, before we get into the whole cutting process and one of finalized our artwork. One of the big things is grouping elements as an extra step of caution just so that I have multiple versions of my work. I like to copy my file and work on a new version. At this point, what I do here is duplicate my file. I go into the gallery and then I find my file. I swiped, laughed, and then I select duplicate. We will be working on this copy before we add our cut lines, which are basically those white outlines around the flower shapes. We need a group all of the layers together to select multiple layers. You will swipe right on your first layer and then continue doing this for every layer below it. Then click on the image thumbnail for the first Larry Selected and Select Group. You can then rename this group final. This process will group all of your elements together, and you can move them and resize them all at once. You will then create another layer under this and rename it cut lines. If you still need to fill out your page and wants a copy. Any of the flowers that you finalize coloring. You can do so here, Aziz. Well, you can use your lasso tool to selector on the flower that you would like to copy on. Then use the copy and paste function. Remember, just drag your three fingers down on your screen and then hit copy and paste and the additional elements will pop up. Then you can move them around as you like by then switching to the selection arrow. Once you have duplicated your items, go back in and select all of your layers once more and then select group.
11. Adding Cutlines & Exporting Your File: Now let's talk about adding cut lines before we export our files to design space, we have to add our outlines. These air, also known as cut lines. So go to your layer named cut lines, and that is going to be under this new layer. And then I want you to go into your brushes and select a modeling brush, something that doesn't react to pressure. And then you'll want to increase the thickness. You'll have it thicker if you want a larger white outline and thinner. If you want it smaller, then in your color picker. Select the color white, and then we'll begin to outline our flower shapes so that you have a nice white outline around. The elements will do that for each of the flowers that are honor sheet. Then you want to drag your color into that outline to fill it in with white. You can turn off a layer by clicking on that check mark in the layers box, and you can check to see if the shape is fully felt underneath it, just the same way that you filled color into your shapes. You're gonna be doing this with the white outline if you notice that it's not filling all the way When dropping your color into your shape, make sure you drag your pen to the right on the screen to increase the full percentage if you need to. You can also go back over it manually with your stylists. Make sure that your background layer is left unmarked so that you can see that grid underneath your white cut lines. This is what's going to allow us to have a transparent background when we export our file. Now that we've added our cut lines, let's prepare our file for export. We are gonna expert the foul for loading into the cricket design space. You want to go to the ranch icon in the upper menu and you're going to select share and then you're gonna click on PNG. This allows you to export the file with transparency. Once you've done this, you will then find a place in your file folder system on your iPad To save it, you could rename it something easy to find and then select done. Once you've done that, select save. You will know your file is saved when you see the pop up that says export successful
12. Loading Your File to Design Space: Now that we've exported our file comes the fun part we're loading to cricket. This will be the process that we go through for our first set of kiss cut stickers. Once you've exported, you're ready to load your file into the cricket design space. If you have not already, please make sure you go and download the app onto your iPad. Then you can come back and complete this section. If you have already downloaded the app and you have cricket design space, you can then click on it on your in your APP system and launch it. Log into your account if necessary. Once you're logged in, you were arrived to your main designs. Face gallery. You'll see suggested files, your uploaded files and a blue rectangle with a plus to add a new file. You will also likely get a pop up to so lacked your machine. I have the cricket Explorer air, and I'm going to select that hit the plus button to create your new file while in design space. Select upload from the bottom menu bar and in the pop up, Select browse files, then you'll navigate to find where you saved your file. because you save your files A PNG. You don't need to clean up your file or remove any background, so just select next. If you notice any straight pixels, you can use the D spectacle function. But if not, just hit next again. Then you'll want to rename your file and make sure you select print and cut. This is the colored version, not the the black outline that you may see on the left hand side. This allows it so you can actually print the file and then cut it with your machine. Once this is done processing, you will see the image in your library. Select it and then it will load into your design space. When it's loaded, it will be large. You can zoom out by using your fingers, the pension or pull out under screen very similar to how we work in procreate, you will have to resize and rotate your image. You can click on it with your stylists and drug the corners in to make it smaller. You could also use the rotate tool toe, rotate around, or you can use the menu bar on the bottom of design space. If you select at it. It will give you the transform options. You can change the width and the length here. Make sure you use the lock icon, um, so that the lock looks like it's closed. This way it stays in proportion. Then I want you to rotate your image so that its landscape you can change your accent Y position to zero so that it's in the upper left corner of your screen. Then you could duplicate your file and dragged the new version so that it's right under the first, then user stylist, to select both of the items and go to the bottom menu and click on the little paper clip to attach your elements. This allows them to be cut at once together. If you notice any air messages, it's likely the size I'm going to go back to the Transform tool. Change my height to 9.25 as that is the max height that the file can be, and it will automatically adjust the with for me. Now, before we send our file to the printer, I want to quickly go over some paper types. The first type of paper I have is the self adhesive high, glassy paper from top color. You can find this online on Amazon or at craft stores. It gives Your stickers are really glossy feel, but keep in mind these are not waterproof. You can also get clear sticker paper. This is from needle labels. You can purchase it online at nieto dot com or on Amazon, and keep in mind with clear sticker paper. Anything that is white on your page is typically what's going to be clear on this paper last. I have basic Matt White sticker paper from online labels dot com. You can get this directly from their site or from amazon dot com. If it's really soft paper, it's not waterproof, but it really prints nicely in terms of the color, and it's very affordable. This is what I will be using for my stickers today. Now, once you selected your paper loaded up to your printer. Now let's go back to the design space and select. Make it in the lower right hand corner. This will take it to the prison cut menu. Once you're here, you will see a mock up of how you should add your paper once it's printed to the cricket match. Um, before you add it to the cricket machine, you could turn off the bleed as you added your white space as your cut line already. Then select print in the lower left hand side. In the next pop up, select your printer. You can increase the number of prints here, but I'm just gonna print one. Make sure black and white is turned off, then select print in the upper right hand corner of the pop up. Your sticker sheet will now print out.
13. Cutting Your Kisscut Stickers: Now that we've printed out our sticker sheet, we're going to add it to our cricket match. The cricket Matt is sticky, and it's what will feed your project. Threw the cutter machine based on the image in your print and cut pop up. You should align your printed paper appropriately onto the map. Make sure it's lined up with the top and left edges. So is not to encounter any off cuts. Now make sure your machine is turned on and your cut level adjustments is set to custom. Go back to your iPad. Select your accessory and designs face, and then hit the blinking double arrow on your kick it machine and then hit the sea button and let the machine do its thing. Once it's done, it will stop cutting and push out your map. Just click the air above and and remove it and then you compel your stickers off. Make sure, though, that you bend the mat and not the sticker paper, so that you don't encounter any curling of your paper. You will then cut this digger sheet down to size. Using a paper cutter. You can use scissors, but I find the paper cutter to be a really quick and simple way to do this, and then you can inspect your work and you should have a nice, clean kiss cut sticker set.
14. Cutting Your Die-cut Stickers: Now let's talk about loading the cricket for a die cut to complete the dike up. We're going to go back into design space. You can hit the new project. I come again and you will select Keep previous project from the pop up. You will then copy using duplicate in the lower toolbar. And do this, I would say three or four times and then use the accent y position in the lower toolbar gun toe. Actually place all of these duplicates in the exact same place. Then you'll use your stylist to drag over and select the entire group. Then you will attach them using that little paper clip icon in the lower toolbar once again , then you're going to select. Make it in the lower right hand corner. This will take you to the printing cut menu. Once you're here, you will see a mock up of how you should add your paper that you printed on your cricket Matt and how to add it to the cutter machine. You can again turn off the bleed as you added your white space as your cut line, and you can change your cup pressure to more pressure than select print in the lower left hand side. Your sticker sheet will now print out. You're going to follow the exact same process for loading your paper to your cricket, as in the kiss cut section that we just talked about. This time, the cutter will go over cuts more than one time, fully cutting them out for a clean die cut. Once your stickers or cut, you can remove the white part of the paper and bend the map to remove the actual die cut stickers. I'm using a mini spatula that came with a cricket school starter set to help pull the stickers off. The sticker should be fully cut out and in this little sticker flake style.
