Cup Cake Illustrations : Using Brush Pens

1. Introduction: Hello everyone. Welcome to my Skillshare class. I'm someone has there been an activist and Andy keto. And this class, I'm going to show you how you can easily illustrate cupcakes in nine different ways. These illustrations are so easy that even unknown artist can create them. So this class is for everyone out there. In the next video, I've attended the material that I'm going to use in this class, and then we will start with the illustrations. In the end, there is a fun class project for you that you all have to submit. So let's start. 2. Material Required: For this class, I'm going to use a simple A4 size sheet of white Carlo update Ben and brush pens to color the illustrations. If you want, you can use pencil and eraser also to do first and then outline them. But I'm going to draw directly using the black pen. Also, if you want, you can use any other colors in place of mesh spins. You can use sketch pens, pencil colors, colored pens, crayons, watercolors, or any kind of colors that you are comfortable with. You can also use any colored paper instead of white sheet. That choice of art supplies is totally up to you. We will start with the cut pickiness stations in the next video. 3. First : Red Jelly Topping: Let us now start with our first cupcake illustration. For this, I'm going to draw the cup first four, which I'm going to draw three sides like this. You have to be a little bit, again, turbine growing this because this must not go out of shape because you are not doing it with some measurements. And now for the green, I'm going to leave some space from Urania, both sides, and then we'll start drawing like this. So here you can see that I made this sense exacto real line shows that it's a cream and now a small cove over hill like this. And on the other side too like this, yes. It's both similar kind of a code. This is not mandatory to be a mirror image of this, but a similar kind of a curve to maintain the uniform, retain the cream. Now I've made a small circle and a line over it to denote that the cherry. And this Jedi is being made at the center of this cupcake. And now joining the two, cause that remained to the Jedi like this. Now to decorate it more, I'm going to sprinkle some jelly over that. Not the exact jelly, but we're going to draw it over here. See, I made this goes like it's dripping from the top. You can make simple cov, not exact dripping, but groupings look good for jelly kind of a thing. So that made groupings. And now for decorating the cup, I'm making some straight lines over here. You can make any other design as per your wish. But make sure that the design is very much simple because the cupcakes are really very small in size and no complex designs are made over that. So just to make it simple, easy, unrealistic, I'm doing so. So now we're done with the drawing part. Now we'll move on to the coloring part for this, I'm going to use these brush pens. You can use any other colors. Just make sure to choose the colors that are very much vibrant and bright. Because the cupcake must look very much bright and vibrant because that's what attracts the consumer. Then look off the cupcakes. So if the cupcakes are looking very much bright and colorful and very much attractive. That is why we are going to make the cupcake and bright and vibrant colors. So to color the jelly, I have choose that color. You can choose yellow. And so if you want, I have 2s red because red jelly as what I want to be, the color of the jelly on my cupcake. Simply colored the cupcakes the way you want to have run for your own self. Now I'm going to use this dark pink color to color the rest of the cream of this cupcake. Because I want to make it look like very much tick with the blackcurrant color or black color and flavor, we can say the cherry on the top. I'm going to use this baby pink color to color this chair. And now after this, I'm going to use yellow color to color the cupcake. The cup of the cupcake. Okay, so I'm going to use this alcohol. You can choose any other color. Just make sure the colors are very much bright and vibrant so that it goes good and vibrant look to the cupcakes so that the consumers also get attracted to the cupcake. That is a speciality of the cupcakes that are present in so many colors and designs and groupings from them. These are the things that made the cupcakes beautiful. So now this cup cake of the cupcake is ready. Now I'm using this red color to add some dots on this pinkish side to make it look like there are some nitrogen in this. And you can totally skip this part, but if you want to add, you can do that. Now in this red area, I'm going to use this black pen itself to add some chocolate chips over it was I really want to have chocolate chips on my journey. So I'm adding that. You can skip this part if you want. So our first cup cake is ready. We'll move on to the second cap pick illustration in the next video. 4. Second : Cloudy Cream: Let us now move on to our second cup Greek illustration. For this, I'm going to draw the cup first. The similar way as we did for the first cupcake illustration. The three lines. And they are not done with any measurement, so they are just the illustration. And now for the cloudy cream, as the name suggests, I'm going to make some kind of a cream structure over here. You can notice the calls that I'm making overhead. This represents a cloud kind of a thing. That is why the name suggest that it's a cloudy cream cupcake. So header does done and yes, it is the cloud shape. Okay. Now I'm adding some Cause like this overhead and all this cream on a wet it because this symbolizes the shape of the cream in it says something like whipped cream. So that is the illustration. And for this cup design, we'll do it later on, but foster failed a color onto it. So that because I'm going to this yellow color now. So you might get affected with this black color as did and the first one. So I'm going to make this post, this coloring part first for this cup, and then I will make the design into it. Now using this black color, I'm just adding some lines that are not touching the upper or the lower part of this club, but just the lines over here. So this is done with the designing part of this cup, of this cupcake. Now to fill and the cream, I'm going to use this light green color because this is very vibrant color and very much favorite of kids too when they buy any cupcakes. So that is why I'm using this light green color. Just make sure you don't cover every black line that you have main cause data's right, increases a look of this cup gate. So just make sure you just add color around that line, not over that line. So this is our second illustration. This is done. We move on to talk Gopnik illustration in the next video. 5. Third : Cream with Cookie: So let us now move on to our third cup pick illustration for this are sung when to draw the cup of the cupcake first. The same way as we did for the both of the first and the second one. Now, to make this cup designer, I'm going to make these small calls like this on this side and then start joining IIT, go like this to this bottom. This is very simple and easy way to decorate your cupcakes. And you can do that in any of the cupcake. That's totally up to you. In this class. I'm just showing you the images, designs, and illustrations that you can use in combination. And you can use the combination to make her more attractive. And now to add cream to it, I'm going to make a cloudy kind of a structure. This is not very much different from what we did in the first one. Sorry, in the second one. But it is a little different of that cause I'm not adding some lines inside it, but a cookie outside this, like this. So that is the cookie that we have added. Now, I'm using this dao glucose follow two colored due end parts of this cupcake design. Here I am using this to color only the end sides of this gov. You can use the same color for the entire globe, but here I'm using a combination of three colors. Now I'm going to use light blue color, but two sides from the sides of that dark blue color. You can notice which two columns I have failed or using this light blue color. And for the next two, I'll use the same Carlo, which means a different color. Fulfilling these two lines. For these two, I'm going to use this orange color. I'm going to fill these two with the same column. Now to add color to the Crim, I'm going to use this yellow color. I'm just going to fill this year and this complete cream. If you want, you can use a combination of two to three colors that look good also. But I am using the single chiral because I've used multiple colors and the GOP already. Now to add some Tutti Frutti into it. Yes, I know you all love feeling like you want to have it, but you can't have it right now. So to add two differently, I'm going to use this red color. I'm going to add so many dots into it that this grim looked to be filled with Tutti Frutti. Now it's time to give life to the cookie. So for the cookie, I'm going to use this beam pink color to make it look an actual cookie that is very much tasty and x of stuff very flavorful. And then these orange dots symbolizes that there are so many not centered. Third illustration is also ready. We'll move to the fourth illustration in the next video. 6. Fourth : 2 Layers and 4 Cherries: Let us now move on to our fourth cupcake illustration for this also, I am going to draw the cup first man making three sides of this cup. Now, for the cream, we're going to make a curve like this. I have made a curve that is very much similar on both the sides, but are not identical. Heard ako, I'm extending this go a little upper side because you have to make two layers. And then I'm leaving the space from the top because I have to draw these cherries first. I've made forgeries. You can add more cherries if you want. And now I'll complete the line to make it look like that the chair is being embedded in this screen. Now to illustrate two layers, I'm going to make this model line over here. The DLS is that there are two layers of cream. Now here I'm making a small herd sheep chocolate like this. And I don't make the same kind of a chocolate on the other side of that is Tokyo option. Because I like that hurt shape the chocolates, you look good. That is why I have added them. And now to add design to the cup, I'm going to make these code lines all over the cup. You can make any other design if you want. I'm making this because I have to make some simple designs over it. So now we are done with the drawing part. We'll move to the coloring part now for this, I'm going to use this orange color. I'm going to fill this second layer of the screen, that lower layer of the screen with this orange color, you can choose any other color, as I have said. But the color should be vibrant enough to reflect and to get the cupcake in a brighter shade. I'm using this red color to add two cherries as a less to the heart-shaped chocolates. Now I'm going to choose this yellow color to fill into the upper layer of this cream of the cupcake. Now I'm going to use this green color to fill into the design that I haven't made a cupcake. I'm using the same color to fill in all the lions and designs that I've made in this cup. But you can use a combination of two to three colors to add to these lines as we have done in our previous illustration. That is totally up to you. So now our force illustration is also ready. We will move on to the next illustration in the next video. 7. Fifth : Red Chocolate topping: Let us now move on to our fifth cup per illustration for this also, I am going to draw the cup first by making the three sides of the cup. Now to make the crown of the cupcake, I'm going to make a curve like this. And then I'll extended to two layers like this. And overhead or sell tried to make like this and then to join these up to make a code that is a literal downwards, not ports but a little downwards. Because here we have to add chocolate now. So the atom we very much bigger in size. See here the shorter it is. So this chocolate is big in size. And that is why I made that little downward. I'm making this design that is totally optional. And the chocolate, if you want, you can draw any other design or you can change the shape of the chocolate. Also here the shop that is very much different from what a regular chocolate looks like. So now I made a cherry also. Now to add color to the cupcake, I'm using this light blue color refers to fill at an AAC grim. Now I'm going to use this red color to fill it and the chocolate as well as in the Cherry. I'm making this design very much visible from this color also, that is why I'm coloring it really slowly and just outlining the part that we have drawn earlier so that our color don't disturb the design that we have created in our chocolate. If you have created any other design in color according to that design. Now I'm going to color the Cherry with the same color. Now I'm going to use this baby pink color and color into the cup of this cupcake. You can choose any other color if you want. You can make designs into it and then color it out. But here I'm not doing so, I'm just coloring it. Now I'm going to use this black pen to add design to this. Grim. Am making these to look it look like that. There are so many chocolate chips into it. You can totally skip this part and you can use red color also if you want to symbolize the Tutti Frutti into it rather than chocolate chips design the cupcake, I'm going to draw these straight lines over hill. This symbolizes that the design is really very simple. So now our first illustration is also ready. We'll move to the six, the illustration in the next video. 8. Sixth : 3 Layers: Let us now move to our sixth cup particular station. This one is a really big because we're going to make three years. That is why I'm making this a little downside rather than making it in the sequence that we have drawn earlier. So far this awesome willing to make this small cup over. And then this gram, this is the fourth layer of this Cram. And let's now move on to the second layer. We're going to make these simple layers like this one over the other. And now it's time for the third video. Notice here that I'm making this curve like this. This is a little downwards from the top because I have to add some chocolate over her. I'm adding this small chocolate. This is the chocolate and these are two leaves over here for decoration. Now to add design will work later. Firstly, we'll fill it with the colors. Now to start with the colors, I'm going to use this light blue color. I'm going to fill this color and this chocolate. Now I'm going to use this light green color to be filled and then leaves that we have made hill. I'm using the same light green color to fail. And then lowest layer of this dream, that third layer of this green. Now I'm going to use this yellow color to fill in the upper side of this screen does hidden layer of this screen. And now this baby pink color to fill in that topmost layer of this Crim. This is totally looking really very sweet and very much vibrant and I really want to eat it right now, but I really can't. I knew. And to decorate the cup, I'm here using the dark green color, but I'm trying to leave some space on all the four sides. And you can make any other design if you want. This is if you feel that this is complex, you can skip this design and make any other design. But this is very simple if you're trying to just leave some space from all the sides and then just fill it. This, this is simple design I can see. And now I'm using this orange color to cover all the space that we have left laying this out to add design to the cupcake I'm going to use is Graca. I'm going to make some random lines like this and to the cream. I'm making these lines in all the three. And now to decorate the cup, I'm going to add some lines over L. So now I six illustration is also an idea. We'll move on to the seventh illustration in the next video. 9. Seventh : The Dripping Cream: Let us now move on to R7 complex illustration for this also, I am going to make a small cup because we have to make the dripping cream right? In all of these would have made the cream into the not so dripping from, but in this we are going to make a dripping cream. So I'm going to make a small cup over here and then I will do the cream with the dripping side. Notice here carefully how I made the dripping side here like this. And now I'm just ripping makes them droppings over hill to clippings or more than enough, I guess. So that is what I'm drawing here. And now just when joining the upper partners, so we have to make the town would come via because it's dripping. If we're making not so dripping, then there is a need to add the downward curve like this. But here, because of droppings as ice is melting a little bit, that is why we are making this and that downward direction. Then a layer over the layer again and again. And the top, I'm going to make a big cherry. We can say that because of this big cherry and its weight, its start dripping. So making this big cherry and then adding this red color into the Cherry. I'm using the same red color to add some dots. And the first layer in that top most layer of this cream. I'm doing so cause I really want to add some other color to it, but I'll add a red Tutti Frutti into it. And also I am using the same red color to color the third layer, that is the lower most layer of this Cupcake. This looks really, really pretty, believe me, you will love it. And in this, the topmost layer, I'm using this baby pink color to make it look like that to store berry flavor. And I have added so many Tutti Frutti into it. That is why the red color into it. Now to add color to the middle part of the screen, I'm going to use this yellow color. You can use any other vibrant color if you want. But I really like the combination of these colors. That is, I am using a local over here now to make some designs into it and making these lines, these are really simple lines. You can made these in a complex way to buy dyad is no need for that, for the design need these gov, I'm making these small lines like this and nothing more fancy I'm going to do in this. And now on when do use this ClO phylo to fill in this dot. So now I said when the illustration is always a good idea being moved to the illustration in the next video. 10. Eighth : Cherry on the Top : Let us now start with our eight cupcake illustration. For this also, I am going to draw the cup first. And then we'll move on drawing the crime of this cup cream. Here I'm making a big, big cloudy kind of a cream over this cup. And then I'm leaving some space in the top right hill and leaving a space to add cherry into it. Now I'm going to make a bit cherry. And this line, and this denotes the cherry. Now to color it, I'm going to use this baby pink color to be filled in this cloudy cream. Hell, I'm using the single color. You can use any other color or in combination with this column, because the combination also looks good. Here I'm going to add some toppings to it. That is, I'm not adding any more colors to it. For adding toppings, I'm using this dark pink color and making so many dots here and there like this. So this symbolizes a kind of blackcurrant or maybe desktop vary with some two teeth routine to it. Now I'm going to use this red color to be failed and let Cherry. Now to add design to the cap, ham making big and small circles all over the cup. You can make same kind of circles if you want or if you want, you can make any other geometrical shape that's totally up to you to fill color. I'm going to use this blue color to fill all of this occurs in this design. And you can choose any bright color if we want. I'm doing silicosis end outer side of these circles, I'm going to use Glide green column, which is the image bright and gives the brightest look among all for us. So yes, I'm using this light when current to be filled in this cup. So now it's illustration is also readily move on to the last and the ninth illustration in the next video. 11. Ninth : Side Chocolate: Let us now move to the last illustration of this class, that is the ninth illustration for this also, I'm going to make this cup flag this as we have made phenomenal illustrations. And then to add Cram, I'm going to make this cloudy kind of a claim like this. Now I'm going to add chocolate and the Cornell like this, I'm going to make two chocolates. One is smaller one and the one is bigger one. You can add any other design in this job Littlefield want. Now to decorate the cup, I'm going to make smaller. It's all over the cup as we made circles in the previous illustration. So in this illustration we are adding so many hard, so well. Now I'm going to say, Look, I loved to be filled in the crime of this cutcake. Now I'm going to use this dark pink car load to be added or to be filled and these herds that we have made in this cup. Now for the chocolates, I'm adding some lines into these bowed chocolate to the list name black pen that I have used earlier. And now to add some design to this, I am doing so using with the same black pen because I'm adding some chocolate chips. Or you can say two or conflicts over hill. So now I'm using this light green color to fill the rest part of the cupcake in which we have made D's hertz. So this is the cop that I'm making with this green color. I'm using this baby pink color to fail it and let chocolates that we have made. So our cup cake is ready. We'll move on to the final look in the next video. 12. Final Look: Surveys has the final look of all the updates that we have made in this class. And then next video, I will tell you how you can use these various cupcake illustrations in your day-to-day life. So see you in the next video. 13. A Word with You: In this class, I have shown you nine different ways to illustrate cupcakes. These are made on paper, but you can scan these after making on paper and then use them digitally. You can use the digital forms in your PowerPoint presentations or any other presentations to students can use these illustrations in their project works, drawings, journals, and many more.
