1. Introduction: Hello everyone. Welcome to my Skillshare class. I'm zooming either via an artist and an educator. In this class, I will show you how you can easily draw various illustrations for plants. These illustrations are really easy that even a non-artists can draw these easily. So this class is for artist as well as for non-artists. In these illustrations, I will draw the plant along with the planter. By the end of this class, you will be able to draw this plant illustrations on your own. In the next video, I will tell you the art supplies that I'm going to use in this class. And then there is a fun class project for you that you all have to submit. So let's start.
2. Material Required : For drawing these illustrations, I'm going to use a plain white sheet, a pencil. It is a brush pens and a black pen. You can also use any other colors, such as watercolors, poster colors, acrylics, answered colors, crayons, etc. Modifications are always welcomed. So use the material that you already have and then tried to create these illustrations.
3. Simple Flat Plant: Here I'm using a simple white sheet and uni-ball micro pen as black color. Let us start with our first plant illustration. I'm first trying the plant 0. And for this I'm going to draw two parallel lines and drawing them with a simple curve. Now, making another parallel line that is right, leaving some space from those two parallel lines. This will be the base of our plan TO now, I'll join from here to the base line with a little curved line. You can notice that it is not a straight line. It is a curved line joining this N to the baseline as we did for the first line. Now I'm highlighting the baseline to make it look like it's the shadow of the plateau. Now I will start drawing the plan for this. I'm going to make a line from here. Notice that deadline is also not a straight line. It's a little bit code, a little messy line, not a perfect straight line. Now I'm drawing the leaves around it. One leaves at one side and the other side. We are now done with the drawing part. Let's move on to the coloring part. Far this, I'm willing to use these brush pens. You can also use any other kind of colors. For example, watercolors post two colors, whatever you have for the leaves, I'm going to use light green color. You can also use a green color if you want, but I like light green color for the leaves. That is why I am using light green color only. Now I'm going to use this brown color to color. Now I'm going to use this golden color to color the top of this plateau. If you want, you can use any color for your planters. It says that I like this color, that is why I'm using it. Twice of colors is totally optional for planters. Now, I'm outlining the planter runs at the end with the same black pen that I drew it with. This will help us to get better finishing off our plant illustration. Now the basic plant illustration is ready, but if you want, you can decorate the planter by adding some design to it. For this, I'm going to draw some small dots over the golden area. To make it look more pretty. You can add more designs if you want. So it's ready. We'll move to the next plant illustration in the next video.
4. Big Round Planter: Let us now start this second plant illustration for this also, I'm going to use a black pen. For this planter. I'm going to make two parallel lines, add some distance and then join these two lines with a curved line. Now from making the base, I'm going to add some more curves to the bottom of this plant. Now I'm making two lines over 90 to make it look like it's end designed to highlight the plateau. Now, for making a plant, I'm going to make two lines like this. You can notice that these two lines are not the exact straight lines. And now I'm making small leaves all over it. These are very easy and simple to draw leaves and you can also use any other kind of leaves if you want to. We're now done with the drawing part. Let's move on to the cultural part for coloring the leaves. I'm going to use light green color. And now also covering the stem of the plant. I'm going to use this dark green color. Now for adding the highlights to the planter, I'm going to use this golden color. You can use any other colors if you're using it, because I like to highlight the plant over the golden color. And now for clearing the rest part of the planter, I'm going to use this diagram. Hi. Now for adding more designs to it, I'm going to use this black pen to make some small dots over the golden. You can use any other design if you want to decorate your planter. So d shell. Now our second panelist station is also ready. We will move to the third value in the next video.
5. Small Stylish Plant: Let us now move on to the third plan. For this. I'm going to draw two parallel lines and trying them with a small curve. Now, making lines from the two ends endanger from the maze, making it look like a small parameter. Now for declination and adding two lines as a highlighter to the client. Now making this one be flying test. And then another nice at an angle with this one like this. Now we can return leaf on the top of these two news. Now the random knees, knees with a half making 19 in e. Now I'm going to use this golden Karla to add the highlight to the client or first. As I have already said, iLearn, you can use any other color for the planters confer want Next, up to the top, First left. So in the next video.
6. Big Smart Leaves: Frankfurt plant illustration. I'm going to make two parallel curved lines and then join these two parallel lines when small cause bone does right? Now, I'm going to make two lines from both the ends n then join them through the base. Now for the highlights for the planter, I'm going to add two parallel lines. Meg does time vertically. Now as we did earlier, I'm going to make a really big leaf like this and another one like tears. And then one belief from the center of these two leaves. Now I have to make two packs of each leaf back as we did an add this plant, we made a straight line. Having alone makes them curves that well-differentiated back plan illustration from this plant illustration. So this is called, and now all over the leaves. And then I'm also doing some Smarties like that this time. It keeps going. We're now done with the drawing pack. Let's move on. And a half. That is turn left side of the leaf. But each leaf painted on the left side, this light green color. The rest part of the plant. You just have to be a little careful because adding one color to the other. Finally, plant. Now. Now I'm going to talk only the top part of the Planetarium with this yellow color. Now to add color to the rest of the plan, I'm going to use this tab down color. You can use any other calligrapher. One, this is two t of n depends upon this plays and the scene that you are doing these into. Now I'm going to add a highlight to the planter. You can use the same color of this plant that is now ready to move on to the first planted in the next video.
7. Tulip Flower Plant: Let us now move on to our first plant illustration. For this, I'm going to make a simple planet oh, that is making two lines that are code and driving them with a straight, straight lines on both the sides. I'm adding this goes over so that I can add the backside of this planter. Now adding these two lines over here and then joining them with a little curve at the base. These represents the planter for this plant and making two lines straight out of this planter. These are not exact straight lines. Medea is, these are two parallel lines representing the stem of this plant. Now making this simplest level overdo it. You can notice the steps to make the flower over here. This is really simple. And this is yes, a tulip flower. And now I'm making leaves on both the side of this tulip flower on the stem and now adding these two lines representing it as unleashed, now completing the backside of this planter. So this represents a complete plan. The area that I'm highlighting and shading with the black color represents the inner side of this plant that represents the soil may be. And now I want to color this. I'm going to use this light green color to color the leaves first. I would also colored the stem of this line to it, this light green column. Now focus ring the flat. I'm going to use this light pink color to it. You can use a latent reddish color also that is up to you. My dad, I'm using this light pink, yellow. Now for cluttering the planter, I'm going to use this red color because I really like a tulip flat and a red colored pot. But if you want, you can use any other color as per your choice that so key up to you. I'm just adding the red color to each and every part of this planter and doing nothing more to it. This is a really simple plant illustration for a tulip flower. So adding some shade at the backside also to make it look more realistic. So this is now complete. We'll move on to the next plant illustration in the next video.
8. Big Yellow Designer Planter: Let us now move on to our sixth plant illustration. For this, I'm going to make this straight length first and then going to join the two ends of this line with the UPC calls below it. This represents the plan total value. Now I'm going to make here two lines to represent the highlighting part of this plant and making this highlighting path, whether it's totally optional for you. Now to make the plant, I'm going to make big, big leaves overview. And then continuing another leaf joined together, then another leaf and similarly on the other side of this big leaf. And we're going to make these two bigger leaves over here like this. And then dividing each leaf with this one line in-between each leaf. And now to start coloring, I'm going to use the golden dustpan first to add the highlighting part of this planter. And now I'm going to use this black color again to complete this highlighting part because this was not very much filled into between the lines. And then we'll move for UDL. Now took another rest of the planter. I'm going to use yellow color. I'm here using the local level, but you can use any color if you want. There is no particular color that you have to use our waste. So remember, you can use any color for the planters and you can also modify the shapes of the planters as per your choice and as per the space in your illustration. But because there are many centuries in which the illustration requires less space on more space to be covered. So that totally depends upon your illustrations. Now to collect the plant, I'm going to use the dark green colonial and going to color, and this side of each leaf, that is the right side of each leaf, there is no hard and fast rule that you have to call that only the right side of the leaf with the dark green, you can use the light green color to color the right side of the leaf and dark green color to color the left side of the leaf. That is totally optional. But I'm using this pattern in this class because I really like the shade of light green color first. And then on the right side adding the dark green color, which symbolizes that this is the darker side and this is the side that is being hidden from the sun. Now took a lead, the left part of each leaf here I'm using the light green color as per my statements. Now to add some designs to the planter handling, to use this black pen, to add some design to it. You can use any other design or any other Kylo to make designs over this planter. Like I am using this black color because this looks really good on yellow column, you can try other combinations to know how the peristyle and out to me on each other head. I'm using this because I already knew about the result of using a black color over the yellow column. So this illustration is ready. We'll move on to the next illustration in the next video.
9. Unique Beautiful Planter: Let us now move on to our seventh plant illustration. For this, I'm going to make two straight lines and then join them with little curves at both the ends. Now notice the kind of code that I'm making over hill because this is a really special kind of a planter with a very unique shape. Now I'm making this kind of a base for this. So this is really unique shape for a plan TO. And now I'm making a plant over it which is small spikes over it. Making so many bunches of it to make it look like there are so many small, small bunches in it. Now, for adding colors, I'm going to use this dark green color to add this color in some of these bunches. Not all of these bunches, but only a few of it. I'm also going to add this color to the tip of a few and then leave them to be filled with a light green color, which symbolizes that there is a combination of light green and dark green. Light green symbolizes that the plant is new and is it, and as an IT growing stage. So that is what I want to denote a using the light green color. So now I'm going to use this light drinker to fill the rest of the space of leaves in this plant. Now to add colors to this loss, I'm going to use this light blue color over here to add color over this line in this top part of this planter. And then going to collect the complete base with this and leave some space between these two blue lines. I will use another color for this to make it look that it's a class CNIT glossy kind of service. So now I'm going to use this baby pink color over here and this part to make it look like it's made of some thing, gloss seal, and make it look more attractive because this correct combination looks really beautiful. So here the illustration is now complete. We'll move on to the next illustration in the next video.
10. Green Plant - Green Planter: Let us now move to eight plant illustration. For this, I'm going to make two straight lines parallel to each other and we'll join them with this code like this. Now, I'm going to make a very simple plan term, but with the alittle cause in it, making a little girl relying on both the sides and then joining this with a straight line at the base. Now for the plant, I'm going to make this spike kind of a thing over it to make it look like these are the great leaves of this plant. So these are the leaves and I'm not going to do much in it. D is either leaves representing the complete plant. So make as many leaves as possible for you in this plant. Now for adding colors to this illustration, I'm going to use this light green color to fill and then leaves of this plant. Now to collect the plant are all Islam using the same green Carlo. If you want, you can use any other color. But because I want to make the same kind of a plant and same color planter. That is why I am doing so. Now to collect the top of this plant, or I'm going to use this yellow color. You can use the same green color, the field bond. My head, I'm using this yellow color to highlight the difference between the plant and the plant. Now to make some design on the planter, I'm going to use this black pen and going to make some random design overdid. You can make any particular design or any random design. All you're going to recreate this same design as I've done hill. It's totally up to you. So at this illustration is ready, we'll move on to the next illustration in the next video.
11. Snake Plant Illustration: Let us now move on to 1 ninth plant illustration. For this, I'm going to make a simple clutter. We are going to make this curve and then two straight lines and again, a curve at the bottom. So this is the basic plan TO, now I'm making this curvy, curvy lines over it and then making the double part of it, making the same kind of leaves everywhere. So this is a basically snake plant illustration. So you can make a little more cause in it, there is no harm in it. Can make more calls moon, you can make less curves, that's totally up to you. You can make lesser leaves, you can make more leaves. That's totally up to you. This represents a kind of snake. That is why this plant is known as a snake plant. And this is the illustration for this snake plant. For coloring, I'm going to use the combination of light green and dark green in the leaves. I'm not going to color the whole with the dark green or with the light green. Because I want to show that there are some new leaves and there are some onlys. And this plant is growing and it's growing stays it is, that is why I'm going to use green color more in it. You can read it the proportion of light green and dark green as per your choice. There is no hard and fast rule in this thing. Now, for coloring, I'm using a really different color that is orange, because I like orange planters. That is the only reason for using orange, yellow, you can use any other color if you want. You can use a combination of colors also for making some more designs over it. I will use black pen and we'll make some designs over it. You can use any other pen to make designs over it. That is totally up to you. Here. The design is really very simple. I'm just making a simple dot and eight lines out of those, out of this one. You can make any other design that is totally up to you. We'll move on to the next illustration in the next video.
12. Cactus Plant with Flower: Let us now move on to that dent plant illustration. For this, I'm willing to make these two called parallel lines and join them with a straight line. You can make any other design for the planters also met here in this class. I'm showing you a great weight IT off the planters. Now I'm just making these two lines a little slide deck to inwards and then joining them at the base. This two line represents the highlighter, yellow for this plant. Now I'm going to make a big circle like this, because this is a bigger cactus plant and making a flat over it with a very simple design. You can make it as per this. Now for details, I'm adding these lines to represent it more like a cactus plant. Now for the coloring part, I'm going to use this red color to fill the color in this flat. Firstly, now for the planter, I'm going to use this brown color to fill this space first. Now I'm willing to cut out this bottom part of this plant over the same ground Carlo. Now, I'm going to use this golden color to add highlighting part of this plan TO over hill. You can use any other color if you want. I'm also going to ring the top of this planter with this golden color. You can choose any other color as per your choice. Now, fulfilling the cactus, I'm going to use this light green color and fill all these spaces in this cactus with this light green color. Only. Now for details, I'm going to use this black pen. I'm going to make these spikes all over it to make it look like that tons of this gap does. Because each get desk contains a lot of times that is why I am making these small, small lines all over the cactus to make it look like a proper cactus over hill. So now this illustration is also ready. We'll move on to the next illustration in the next video.
13. Big Grass Plant: Let us now move on to our 11th plant illustration. Find is I'm going to make a very basic planter. Here you can see that I've made just four lines and join them. Now, further planned, I'm going to use light green Carlo to make grassy kind of applied over it. I use the brown color to color the planter, but I use that a little later. You can notice that design and caused them, which I am using the brown color or return later because this green color is not very much invisible on dark brown color. And I have to make so many leaves that are coming out of this blight and that going to cover the plan TO that is values the brown color Leto. Now I'll use this brown color to fill this gap that is being seen from these grass so that it looks like the grass is coming out of the planet 0. Now, further detailing is I'm going to use this dark green color to make some more lines on this light green color to make it look more realistic and more attractive because the details have to be added in age nine to make it look more beautiful, unrealistic.
14. Sleek Healthy Plant: Let us now move on to our 12th plant illustration. For this, I'm going to make a small rectangle like this. This being sleep gives the look that this is a real good in height. That is why I have made this a little sleeker. Now I'm going to use this dark green color to make straight, straight lines from this planter to represent the stem of the plant. Notice that these lines are not exactly straight lines. Now I'm going to use this light green color to make the leaves from these lines. You can use the same color also, but using the light green color will enhance the beauty of this plant. That is why I'm using this light green column. You can vary the height of these stem to make it look more critical. If you want, make as many leaves as possible as per this pace of your plant illustration. Now for the decoration over the plant, oh, I'm going to use this light pink color. I'm simply coloring this when this light pink with a literal designer nano. See here I have made this small triangle the length is and then colored it with this. Now I'm going to color it from bottom, but will not touch exactly to the bottom, but make this bold line over here. And then I'll make some tilted lines like this over hill and make parallel lines to it to cover this empty space. After this, I'm going to make small, small dots at the bottom to complete the design. You can make any other design if you want. I'm making this design to make this planter look more class the end more stylish. You can modify the design as per your interiors.
15. Cactus Plant Illustration: Let us now move on to our dean illustration. For this, I'm going to make two parallel lines and join them together like this, a little code with it. Then making the planter and uncertain cell color shape to make it look like it's smaller in height, kind of a plan TO. Now, as this is an illustration for a plant which is very common, yes, this is cactus. So I'm making this kind of applied all over it and making a chain over it to make it look like it's a big cactus plan. To add colors. I'm going to use this yellow color to add this highlight color. Now, I'm going to use this shade of light green color to color the rest of the planning TO, you can use any other color if you want. But here I'm using this light green color. Now, I'm also using the same color to fill the colors in this. Jane likes said that she represents a cactus. Now that turn further detailing path for this, I'm going to use this black color again and make so many dots all over the plant to make it look. It's like a lot of times 0 we're at. So these drawings as shown by this model, dots all over the planet. Now I'm also making these small, small lines outlining the whole plant, which represents more times All overlook done because this is a vector slant, it must have so many thrones over it. Now for other degradation of the planter, I'm making some design over it, making some small circles like this all over the planter. You can make any other design if you want and if you like without any design, then you can leave it as it is. So here it is done. Let's move on to the next one and the next we do.
16. Sleek Long Planter: Let us now move on to our 14th illustration. For this, I'm going to make this small lines first and then extend this with a curve like this. These are small cause you can make them straight also if you want. But I like this planter to be a little code because this is a sleek planet 0. So this is the shape of the planet. Oh, now I'm making some spikes out of air. These are the sticks kind of element of our planned for making the leaves. Here I'm using light green color and making some random small, small, small strong lines all over it to make it look like it's a stick with a lot of leaves over it. So this basically represents that there is a wass and in that was asked please so many sticks off leaves. Now, with the use of this dark green color, I'm going to highlight the center lines of these that we have made earlier with the black pen. Now for the plant, I'm going to use the red Carlo and I'm going to make lines over it like this. I'm making so many lines over it so that it shows that the Ras is applied color and then making the design with the red color, so the vast colors is red and white. You can choose any other color if you want. This is the final look of this plant illustration. We'll move on to the next one in the next video.
17. Small Grass Plant: Let us now move on to our 15th illustration. For this, I'm going to make a really small and simple Toronto. For this. I'm going to make these two lines and then making these two lines and joining them at the base for the plant. I'm going to make these spike kind of a structured over it to make it look like it's a small plant. It's a grassy kind of a plant. Father's coloring. I'm going to use the light green color and going to fill the plant completely with this color only. Now for call ring the plantar am going to use this red color. I'll color the front line like this with the red color completely. And then I make some small dots all over the planter to make it look like it's a white color. And the design is being done within a red color. So this is the final end look.
18. The Last Illustration: Let us now move on to our last end 16th illustration. For this, I'm going to make a way simple planter first. For this, I have made only four lines and join them like a rectangle. Now, I'm going to use this dark green color and make so many leaves like this. Now I'm going to use this light green color to make so many leaves over these, these, these dark green leaves, we can say that these are the bigger leaves or we can say that these are the stem of the plant. Here. I'm adding as many leaves as possible just to make it look more green and more attractive. Yeah, I'm using the very simple kind of leaves LA station. You can also use this ambulance stations are, if you want, you can use any other kind of leaf illustrations, then leaves are totally up to you. Now, let's move on to colored applying TO fund this planter. I'm going to use this yellow shade to color the complete plant our first. You can use any other color if you want. I'm using this yellow color and then I'll use pink color to make design over it. You can make design using the black uni-ball eye pen or any other black pen also or any other color also, that's totally up to you. I'm just doing it for decoration. You can change the declarations as per your choice. So this is now done. Let's move on to the next video to have the final look of all the plant illustrations.
19. Final Look: So here is the final look of all the plant elastase is that we haven't drawn in this class. I am delivering so pretty. You can always modify the designs of each planter. That designs add totally up to you.
