1. Adobe Express Introduction: Hi, and welcome to creating a logo animation using Adobe Express. If you've ever wanted to bring your logo to life, but felt overwhelmed by traditional animation software, this class is for you. In this course, I'll show you how to create a clean, professional logo animation using Adobe Express. No animation experience required. We'll start by exploring Adobe Express interface and understanding what it can do. Then you'll learn how to import your logo, organize layers, apply smooth animations, adjust timing and motion, and enhance your design with backgrounds and sound. This class focuses on simple, effective motion, so your logo looks modern and polish without being overdone. By the end of this course, you'll have a fully animated logo you can use for branding, social media, and video intros and the confidence to create more animations on your own. I'm excited to have you here, so let's get started. 2. Getting Started with Adobe Express: In order to get started with using Adobe Express, first of all, you need to go ahead and access and sign up for a free account in. So to do that, you simply need to go to adobe.com slash Express in a Browser of your choice. In my case, I'm using Google Chrome browser. You can use any browser, any latest browser, and Adobe Express will work in it. So over here, from the homepage, you can see that get Adobe Express free is an option. Let me just go ahead and click on it, and then it allows me to continue with my email or use one of my social media accounts. So let's say I'm going to go ahead and click on Continue with Google R here, which is a quick way to go ahead and sign up with an account. So once I do that, let me just select my Google account which I already have signed in with, and then let me just go ahead and click on Continue right here, just like this. So once that is done in a while, what will happen is that you'll be redirected to Adobe right here, and then you need to go ahead and enter out your let's say, for example, your date of birth, let's say, for example, right here. So let's go ahead and add this in and you can choose the country right here and even allow to contact via email and then click on Create Account. So once you do that in a while, your account will be created, and you'll have access to you'll have access to your account. And now you can see, as I do that in a while, it simply goes ahead onto the next phase, and it says, welcome, and it says, What brings you to DobExpress. So let's just go ahead and say this is for my personal purpose. So I'm just going to go ahead and click on next. And then let's say I want to work with Logo. So let's just go ahead and click on that and click on next here. If there's anything else, like tell us your style, it says here. Let me just select whatever I have right here. It does not really matter. You can go ahead and select it out. So it says describe what's your best primary zo function, so let's just say content creator, and then I'm going to click on Okay. And then you're simply sign in onto the Adobe Express Pasa here. So if you already have an account, what you simply need to do is from the Adobe Express homepage, you simply need to sign in and you get to this page. So once you get to this pase, what we are working with, you need to know that we want to go ahead and create an animated logo. Uh, so to do that, I need to go ahead and click on the plus button right here. So here you can see with Adobe Express, you can go ahead and create out many sort of medias, like you can create social media and ads video, photo, document, webpage, and marketing materials. But in our case, we want to go ahead and create a logo animation which falls under video. So here you can see that I can choose standard video formats like mobile video or simply an SD video here. You can even go ahead and choose other video formats as you like. But in our case, I'm going to go ahead and choose standard video here. And here you can see that it says Bowe templates. But I don't want to use the template, but anyways, let me just go ahead and select this. And as soon as you do that, and no template actually loads up. Over here, you can see that template actually loads up over here on the left hand side. So you can simply go ahead and choose to close it off, and then you got an area where you can go ahead and start working with right here. You can go ahead onto Edit pase right here and resize, but this is a premium feature, as you can see right here. You can animate everything all at once. We can do a quick replace of objects and so forth, right here. On the left hand side, you can see that you can go ahead and add in different contents as you like. You can go ahead and add in text. You can go ahead and upload out files as you want, right here, and then you can go ahead and access your stuffs that is what you have uploaded over here. You can work around with brand, template, theme, and other options right here. But in our course right here, we're going to go ahead and only focus on the part which is required for logo animation. Over here on the bottom, this is the timeline area. So if I were to go ahead and let's say, for example, go to media right here. So let's just go to photo. Let's say, for example, if I were to go ahead and add this in, you can see that I gum I simply added this onto my timeline, right here. And this is what you have to be familiar with while you're animating logos or animating anything in fact. So you can see that this part represents 5 seconds of video. And if I were to click and drag the timeline right here, you can see the timeline reads right here. But let me just go ahead and then, let's say, for example, delete this out because I want to go ahead and import out my own media. So this is what you have. So here you can see it says drag and drop your media. Let's just go ahead and click on Start from Scratch because that is what we are doing. So now, once you do that, you can see that I simply have a blank timeline right here. Can go ahead and so the individual layer timing, which is what I want because I'm animating individual layers while animating the logo, and that is what you're going to understand as you progress along the course. So you can even see like I can go ahead and zoom in and out of the timeline here, and you can see the timing rot here just like this as well. You can edit out timeline to get it back or minimize it out here to see everything full screen right here. So now we're going to go ahead and see how we can actually go ahead and then like import out a logo that we already have so that it is animation ready and I will be Express. But before we do that, we do want to set a file name for our project. So by default, it's set as untitled. So let's just go ahead and see logo animation. So let's just go ahead and click on it and see logo animation right here, just like this as our project name and click on save here. So on the next video, we're going to go ahead and see how we can go ahead and import out the graphics that we want to animate. That is our 3. Importing a Premade PSD Logo Design: So now that we have our project file ready, we need to go ahead and import out our logo so that we can animate it. So over here, you can see that I actually already have a logo, which is divided up in layers and is designed in Photoshop, as you can see here. So I already have this file. So what I need to do is go ahead and import this out in to Adobe Express here. So to do that, I simply need to go ahead on to add content and choose media here. And in my case, it's stored on my computer, so I'm just going to click on Upload from device. Once I do that over here on my desktop, I have this design file here, the logo design, which is in Photoshop format, as you can see here. So you can see that there's various formats that are actually compatible R here, and Photoshop is one of the compatible files. In fact, many Adobe formats run here. Are actually compatible. Like there's AI, which is compatible as well as you can see a here. And even PDF files are compatible and so forth, you can see the list which are compatible and import out the ones that you want. In my case, let me just select the logo design and click on opena here. And now what I can simply do is I can place this as a linked Image, meaning without any layers. But I do want the individual layers to be editable, so I'm just going to click on Convert to an Adobe Express file a here, and then click on Import. Once I do that, you can see it says getting everything ready right here, and then it is converting the Photoshop file right here into Adobe Express file. So depending on the weight of the file, it might take some time. But here you can see that I already have this particular logo file right here, just like this. So now around over here, you can go to Edit timeline, and you see this on the timeline. But you're not seeing, let's say, for example, the individual layers. So to do that, you can actually go around over here, just like this. Let's say, for example, click on individual layers right here, and then you will be able to see those layers right here on the top, as you can see. So each layer from Photoshop is actually right here, just like this. So you can go ahead and then edit out individual layers and add in animation to it. So you can see that this is what I have. I can go ahead and let's say, for example, change around, let's say, for example, the size of it and so forth. You can see that I actually have a background right here which I don't want. So let me just go ahead and delete it. So I got this particular sapera here, you can go ahead and resize it as per how you want and then animated. Yeah. So now, as we have imported out our graphics in the upcoming lesson, we're going to go ahead and see how we can actually go ahead and animate out our logo and then make it interesting by adding in background as well. 4. Creating the Logo Animation: Now that we have our logo imported, it's time to go ahead and add in animation to it. So to go ahead and add in animation to the logo, you need to go ahead and select out the part of the logo, that is the layer that you want to add in the animation to. Around over here, as I click on the Save, you can see on the right hand side, you can select out the layer that you want, as well. So let's just go around over here and start with the stars. So if I were to go around over here, then over here on the left hand side, you can see this particular dialog box that appears. So over here, you can go to animation. So here you can see that you can go ahead and select in loop and out animation here. Example, if I were to go to In and choose wobble, let's say, for example, then you got the wobble animation. As you click on it, you can see it gets previewed right here. You can click over here on the icon that appears to change around the speed rot here. As you change, you can see that the speed changes out. You can go ahead and increase out the speed rot. Similarly, you can change around the spring. So depending on the different type of animation, you can go ahead and change around the animation right here, just like this. So you can go ahead and keep it less or more. And you can change around the squish right here, just like this as well to make it more squizzy if you want to right here, and that is what you have. So you can see that it comes from the right, but you can make it come from the left or on the top, right here, or on the bottom, as well. So let's just go ahead and select top here. And you can see the pin area, as you can see right here, and depending on that, the animation changes out as well. So you can go ahead and choose the one that you like. So let's say I'm going to go ahead and go for the top one right here. And then I'm going to increase up the speed so that it goes ahead and then sticks to that speed right here. So you can see that depending on what you have, you can go ahead and change around the spring right here, change around the squizR here to go ahead and quickly change the animation speed. Apart from that, you can see that this is not actually available on the verbal animation right here, but there's other types of animation that you can add in as well. So let's say, for example, I'm going to go to this bulb now, and here you can see that I can go for circle, fade. And then, let's say, for example, Bungie right here. So there's different sort of animations that you can add in. So there's drift, there's drop rot here, there's spin, as you can see t here, there's grow and so forth. Well, let me just go around over here and add in something like a flash rot here. So I want it to seem as if this is the light bulb itself. So let's just go ahead and utilize something that actually mimics that. So there's the flicker, which is what I want right here. So I can go ahead and click on the option right here to change around the duration as well and change the intensity of the flicker as well. Here. So, let's say, for example, I want it to be quick, so I can change around the duration, or I can go ahead and type in the exact duration that I want as well and change around the speed as well. And you can even randomize it out every time, as well. So that is what you have. So now, in order to see both of the animation, I can simply move the timeline, press the play button, and you can see both the animation play at the same time now. So now with the plas you can see that I am in the animation. I can go for loop, and over here, you can add in different loops that keep on happening when the animation, the in animation finishes. So you can go for wobble, wind, or sway right here. You can go for blinking. You can go for flicker. So let's just go around over here and go for breeze right here or so forth. You can go for bob, jitter, and so forth. Let's go for breeze right here, because it actually changes the individual elements rot here. And then you can change around the speed of the breeze right here. So let's just go ahead and make it subtle, and it can change the flexibility as you want, change around the pin as well, and change the direction of the breeze as you want, as well. So let's just make it upward position, and it can even change around the pin area as you want right here to left, bottom, right, or on the top. But let me just go around over here onto center, and this is what you have. So now if I were to play from the beginning, this is what you have right here. So you can see that I'm having a loop animation route. So this is what you have, as you can see, so I can go ahead and choose other sort of a loop animation as well so that the in animation comes into place as well. So I can go ahead and select out, let's say, for example, the flick animation right here in the in. And then on the loop, you can go ahead and select out. Something else right here. And as you do that, if you were to press the play button, you can see that this is what you have. So now, not every animation is actually supported with one another. So this is what you have. So let's just go around over here onto wiggle. Let's say this is what I want. So let's change around the speed and then the intensity. And you can see that as I were to go to the beginning and press the Play button now, you got a flicker and then a subtle wiggle right here. So now you can even go ahead and add in an out animation so that at the end, the animation flies up. But I don't want this here, so I'm just going to go ahead and keep this here. So I'm just going to go around over here onto wiggle. And then over here in, let's just go around over here and add in a flicker. So this is what you have. So now, apart from that, I'm going to go for the book now, and let's just go ahead and choose different animation for it. So I can see that I got drift. I got bungi right here, just like this, and I got spin right here. So you can go ahead and choose the one you want. So let's say I want a pop animation right here, and it can change the intensity of the pop so that it's losers you can see right here, just like this, as well. And it can even change the personality to loud or soft right here as per how you want and change around the duration as you want, as well. So it can really make it slow as well or make it very fast. So that is what you have. So finally, we got the text rat here, and for text, you can see that I can have like, let's say, for example, text related animation as I want here. So you can see there's sable, you can see there's Bunge, you can see there's drift and so forth, as you want here. You can go ahead and choose as you want right here and choose the one you want as you want. So there's scale, there's string, there's grow, as you can see right here. So if I were to go around over here, I can actually go ahead and choose the strong personality right here. But with certain elements, like, let's say, for example, these right here, you can see that I can go ahead and change the text segment to animate pi character or word or even line, as you can see right here. So you can even go ahead and randomize it out as well. So you can see that I can go ahead and change the duration as I want, as well. But let me just go ahead and add in a subtle animation right here, like, let's say, for example, a fade itself right here. So this is what you have. So now if I were to go ahead and play from the beginning, you can see that the logo is added in. And then there is a loop in the bulb, so that actually keeps on coming up. But let's say I don't want all of the layers here to animate at the same time. So let's say, for example, I want the book to come up first, which is already there. So book right here comes from the beginning itself. And then let's say after the book, I want the stars to come in. So I'm just going to go to the star and simply drag it out right here, a bit later so that the star come a bit later after that. And after the star, let's say, for example, I want the bulb right there. So I'm just going to push this out right here. And then only afterwards in a while, let's say, I want the text. I'm just going to go ahead and push that in. So you can see, like, these are the sections right here. And if I were to press the play, but now first there's the book, then then there's the star. You can see that firsts there's the book, then the star then the bolve then the text right here. And this is how you can change around the timing as you like. So I'm just going to go ahead and push this a little further right here. Let's just push this a little further as well, just like this. And let's just go ahead and then push the text a bit further right here, just like this as well. So from the beginning, if I were to press the play button, you can see that this is the animation. That you have right here. So that is what you have, and this is how you can go ahead and add in animation to the logo. And we basically added in, a basic animation to the logo here. And to make it more interesting, we can go ahead and add in some background, add in some audio as well, and refine the animation as we need. And that is something we're going to go ahead and look in the next video. 5. Enhancing the Logo Animation: Over here now I have the basic logo animation. But if you were to go ahead and take a close look, you don't see the widescreen format that we initially selected. That is because when we loaded up our Photoshop file, it took the resolution reference from that Photoshop file and then added that out here and created a new project out of. But the original project that we created is actually right here. So this is the file that has been imported from Photoshop, and this is the original file that we created, which has a widescreen format. So I can actually go ahead and then copy out these layers along with animation to the new to the new project as well, actually, our old project that we initially created. So let me just go ahead and open that up here inside. And you can see the original 16 by nine aspect ratio project right here. So now, let me just go to this particular pace here where I already have the different layers and the animation applied. So now I can simply click and drag to go ahead and select out all, and I can right click and copy and then go right here and paste it out right here, just like this. I can allow the paste here and there you go. Along with the animation and the elements, everything has been pasted. So now you can resize it out as you want and place it in between right here, just like this. So let's just go around over here. Uh, right here until it snaps to the center. So now, this is the file that I have. Let me just go ahead and close it right here. So now from the beginning, I'm going to go ahead and press the play button, and you can see that the animation along with the logo pops up. But I don't want it right here on the. Let's say, for example, I'm just going to go ahead and drag it right here, and this is what you have. So if I were to go onto the beginning and press the play button, you can see that this is basically what you have now. So now I want to go ahead and make the animation much more interesting. So for that, instead of a plain white background, I want to go ahead and add in a dynamic background. So for that, I can actually go ahead and search for pre existing videos as well. So for that, I'm going to go around onto Add element. And here you can see that media is an option, and I can go to video. So around over here in video, let me just go ahead and search for video here as background right here. Let's see what comes up. So over here, there's different sort of backgrounds that pop up as you can see. So there's bouquet type background. There's like a soft background right here, this type of a background right here and so forth. So let's just go ahead right here and add in this background. So let's say I want this one the one with the crown are the ones that you have to pay for. So the ones without are the free ones to use. So let's just go ahead and use the free ones. Let's just go ahead and drag them out here. So this is what you have, and now I can simply resize up the video here, just like this. And just like with any other elements, you can see that this stays on top of the layer. That's why I cannot see the book right now. So let me just go ahead and drag it below. Once you go ahead and do that, this is what you have. So you can see that this is the video clip. It does not actually go ahead and then complete everything right here that is it's not until the full length. So I can simply drag on the video, and as long as the video length is there, I can go ahead and drag it so that it matches the animation. So as I press the play button, you can see that this is what you have right here. You got the particular background and so forth. But what is actually happening now is this particular layer right here has replaced out the bulb layer, which is not what I want. So let's just go ahead right here and press Control Z a few times right here to revert. And this is what you have, as you can see. And now I simply want to go ahead and drag it and make it again. So this is what you have. So let's just go around over here onto media here. And then I'm simply going to go ahead and drag and drop it on the timeline now. So this actually comes over here as a separate timeline, but let me just go ahead right here and then bring it out right here onto this section. So let's just go ahead and press Control X to cut it out. Go back here, just like this and press Control V, and it paste on the top. So now I can go ahead and drag it back here. Then there's the other clip timeline right here. Let me just go ahead and delete it, and this is basically what you have now. As you press the Play button, you got the background animation playing as well. That is the background video, and then you got the logo animation as well now. You can go ahead and click and drag to make the logo animation longer as well. So once you go ahead and press the play button now, you can immediately see that with the background, everything looks much more interesting here, just like this. So now what you actually have is certain layers that's not until the total timeline. So I'm just going to go ahead and drag this out. I'm going to go ahead and drag this out till the end, and I'm going to go ahead and drag this out till the end here, drag this one and so forth, as I need. So let's just go ahead and press the play button, and now this is the logo animation that you have just like this. So now, apart from that, I can go ahead and select out this particular video, go to adjust and change around the contrast of the video, change the brightness of the video, change the highlights, that is the bright parts of the video, change the shadows, that is the dark part of the video, make the video more saturated and add in a bit of a warmth as I want here to get the color look as I want, as well. I can even add in sharpness or make it softer add a bit of a blur to the video as I want as well. So now from the beginning, if I were to go ahead and press the play button, this is simply what you have. I added in a bit of a blur there and added in some content as needed. So that is basically how you can go ahead and then make your design much more interesting and enhance the logo animation as required. So now in the next video, we're simply going to see how we can make the logo animation much more interesting by adding in sound to it, as well. That is a background music 6. Adding Sound to Animation: Now we have our animation right here, our logo animation with the background video as well. But to make it more interesting, let's add in an audio to it, as well. So to do that, let me just simply go ahead and click on Add Audio. And once you do that, you can see that you can go ahead and search for different audio as you like. Let's say, for example, if I were to type in bright right here, then you simply have different audio that you can use. You can go ahead and press the play button to preview it out as well. But let's say I don't want to use that audio. I want to go ahead and utilize an audio that I already have. In that case, you can go ahead and click on Upload from Device. And then from over here, you can simply select out an audio file that you want to import and then click on Open. Once you do that, that audio file is inserted here. So now from the beginning, if I were to press the Play button, So that is simply what you have. So let's say what I want to do now is I want to make sure that the starting is not too abrupt. In that case, you can actually go around over here onto this particular audio layer rot here. And then you can actually add in an in and out feed here. Let's say, two second or 1 second as you want, right here. So now in the beginning and at the end, the starting and ending won't be abrupt. Let's just go ahead and press the play button and hear out how that sounds. And that is our animation. And it looks and feels much more interesting this way. And that is basically how you can go ahead and add in sound to the animation. So now, as we progress along in the next video, we're going to go ahead and see how we can export out this logo animation as we require it for use in different platforms. 7. Exporting and Sharing Your Logo Animation: So now that our animation is complete, let us go ahead and check it for the final time. So let's say what I want to actually do now is go ahead and export it so that I can go ahead and upload it in a platform of my choice. So to do that, all you need to do is over here on the top, right hand side, click on Download. And then around over here, you can choose the file format. So here you can see that there is MP four, which is best for video, audio, and animation, of course, but you also see PNG JPZ, PDF and Jefa here. So PNG, JPZ PDF here is okay if you just want to export out a frame a here. It's not a video format, right here, only MP four is the video format. So if I want the video, of course, I'm going to go ahead and choose MP four and over here, you can choose the video resolution as you like, as well. So tenativePot here is our original size, which I'm going to stick to. So I'm just going to go ahead and click on Okay now. And then what happens is that the download gets started. So the video gets rendered, and then it'll start downloading. So you need to wait for a while rot here, and depending on the video length, it will take some time. And now the video has been completed and it's been downloaded, and you can see that now it says your download is complete here. So let's just go around over here. You can see that there's the downloaded video. So if I were to actually go ahead and open it, this is the video that you have here. Let me just enable the audio as well. So that is the video, which is exported here in MP four format. So apart from that, you can also go ahead and download. And then, let's say, for example, like I said, download as a Jif animation as well. So you can go ahead and choose high quality or low quality image as you like. Go ahead and click on Download. And then what happens is that now the file will be exported as a Jif animation format, which will take a bit of time as well. So you need to go ahead and wait and now that has been uploaded as well. So now you can see that it has been downloaded. Here, you can see that logo animation JV is being downloaded. So if I were to go ahead and click, you can go ahead and use any photo viewer that you have, and then you got the logo animation in Jif format as well. So if you want to go ahead and export out a static image, you can go ahead and click on Download and choose any one of these static formats. So let's just go for P NZ, let's say, for example, and click on Download here, and it gets downloaded immediately here as a static image, just like this, as you can see. But if you want to go ahead and share this project with others, directly. Then you can simply go around over here onto share right here. So you can see share as an option. So what you can do right here is in the share, you can see that you got different options you can share it to Instagram or share it out with other people as you want. So you can simply go around over here and tie in their email address right here just like this. And you can even give them edit access and even just a common access as you want and send them invite to the project if you want, as well. If you want access or want them to access to the project. You can even go ahead and copy out a link right here to them and send it out as well. If you just want to share a view only link, you can go ahead and click R here, and then you can see that you can create a view only link right here, just like this as well. So here you can see that the link is being created. And this is the created link, as you can see. You can delete the link if you don't want them to have public access or update out the link to generate a new one as well. But let me just copy this link and then go to an incognita window to see how this looks to others. So if I were to paste out this particular link right here, then what happens is that it'll go ahead and then give me a view only link here. So you can see that I get this particular view only link right here. So now let me just go ahead and close it, and then you can see that I have the view only ink now. Apart from that, I can directly share it to Google Drive, schedule out the post or even access out different, like, share options that I have right here that you can go ahead and utilize. And that is basically how you can go ahead and export and share your logo animation to others as you like. And now we have come to the end of the course, and you know how to create your animation now. And in the next video, we're going to go ahead and exactly talk about that. I'm going to go ahead and tell you how you need to go ahead and create your own logo animation as your class project. 8. Project Description: So we have now come to the end of the course, and you know everything to create a basic logo animation using Adobe Express. So for your class project, you'll also create a clean, professional animated logo using Adobe Express, of course. So you will need to design and export a short logo animation just like this that brings your brand to life. So what you need to do is you need to start by importing your logo as we did. And then what you need to do is arrange them out in the timeline here, as as per the requirement and animate out all the layers by adding in timing and motion to them and enhance the design with background effects, as well as needed. So what you also need to do is make sure to add in sounds so it can be a sound that you already have or it can be from the audio library over here in Adobe Express. And then what you finally need to do is go ahead and export it out in MP four format. So this project is very big friendly and focuses on simple, effective motion rather than complex animation techniques, as we saw throughout this course. The goal is to keep your logo animation clean, smooth and professional. And once you're finished, make sure to upload your final animated logo to the project gallery, along with a short note describing the type of brand it represents and why you chose a particular animation style. So don't worry, take your time, follow along with the lessons, and don't be afraid to experiment. This project is all about bringing your logo to life in a simple, modern way. So I can't wait to see what you come up with all the best.
