1. Introduction to the Course: Hey guys, Welcome to this course where I
will teach you how you can produce a word search
puzzle in less than 1 hour. I'm mom of three and time is something that I
have in limited supply. So I've developed a
system that can help you produce a word search
puzzle in minutes. All you need is to
learn my step by step approach so that you can begin to create word search
puzzles like a probe. But why word search puzzles? If you go on Amazon and you
go on word search puzzles, they are a high demand product. If you want to get in the
game of self publishing, the best way to get
your feet in the water is through word search puzzles. Not only are they
easy to create, but they will help you learn what the self publishing
process will look like. At the end of this course,
you will be able to create word search puzzles
quickly and effortlessly. I will see you on
the other side.
2. What You Will Need: Hey guys, I officially want
to congratulate you and welcome to this course where I will teach you how to create
your word search puzzle. And all you need are these next five things
you need Microsoft Word, your computer's no pad, we're going to be
using Chat GPT. You will need an instant
puzzle generator. And number five, you
will be using Canva. I will put further details
under the resources section. Now let's begin he.
3. Choose Your Niche Demo: Hi guys. Welcome to this lesson where we are going to research the types of different
word search puzzle books out there on Amazon, and how you can
choose the type of word search puzzle book
that you want to create. Let's begin. We are on the Amazon website and we are going to search for
word search puzzles. Okay? Puzzle books. As we can see here, we have already different types of searches that people
are already searching for. This right here is an
extension that I have. It's called the AMZ Extension. And you can go ahead and go on Google and search for
the AMC extension. Why you want this is
because it's completely free and it will show you what people are a searching
for on Amazon top searches. For example, you
see here we have word search puzzle,
books for adults. We have for adults, large
print for seniors, for kids. Let's do one for kids, word search puzzle for kids. Let's click on that
and see what we find. Okay, now we have a bunch
of word search puzzles. And when we look
at these covers, you might feel overwhelmed
and you might even feel like, wait a second, I don't think I can produce
something like that. And I'm here to tell you that you can, and
I will show you. Okay? Now, let's say we want to reproduce a word
search puzzle for kids. For the sake of this example, we're going to do a
word search puzzle for, let's say fifth graders. Okay, let me go all the way up. Let's choose to
recreate something like this word search puzzle
for kids eight to ten. You notice there's
a pattern when we search for word
search puzzle for kids. They all have the ages, the ages for whom
these are four. The word word search is on
each single book cover. That's very important to keep in mind for the design process. A, toward the end of the
step by step approach, we're going to recreate
this word search puzzle. But you might be thinking, okay, but I need all the words. Where am I going to
get all the words? I'm glad you asked.
In the next lesson, I will share with you
what I do to come up with 100 plus words in
a matter of seconds. I will see you on
the next lesson.
4. ChatGPT: Hey guys, welcome to this
lesson where I will teach you how you're going to get these words for your
word search puzzle. Easy. We're going
to use chat GPT. It is the best tool to come
up with 100 plus words. So let's go my friends, you are looking at
the Chat GPT website and as you can see here,
there's a search bar. If you have not used Chat GPT, be ready to be amazed. Okay, so in lesson number one, we had discussed how
we are going to create a word search puzzle book for kids and it's going to be
for fifth graders, right? So what we're going to do is
we're going to ask Ch GPT to produce a set of words for
our word search puzzle. But wait, before we ask Ch
GPT to give us some words, we have to determine
how many pages our word search puzzle
is going to be. For the sake of this example, we're going to do 50 pages. Let's say each page is
going to have five words, 50 pages times five words. Each is going to be a
total of 250 words. Now that's exactly what
we're going to ask. Gpt provide 250 words, but not just any words. Let me go ahead, put
high frequency words. Frequency words for
fifth grade kids, provide 250 high frequency
words for fifth grade kids. Perfect. Let me go ahead
and click on Search. Let's see what starts
happening. Okay. Is that searching? Let's see, this is absolutely amazing. It's populating the
250 words that we need for our word
search puzzle book. And it just keeps going
and going and going, and it makes creating a word search puzzle
that much more easy. All right, let's see,
It's 250 perfect. We have our 250 words for
the word church puzzle. What are we going
to do with this? We're going to copy, okay, we're going to copy this, and
we're going to paste it on our Microsoft Word document. Now I'm going to click
on Microsoft Word. We're going to wait
for it to load. Then if you did not notice, copy and paste these words, what I did was that I clicked on the clipboard right here to the right hand side on a
GPT, It's already copied. And then I go to Microsoft Word. I'm going to click
on Blank Document. Then we're going to go
ahead and Paste it here. Watch this for a moment. What we're going to
do is we're going to delete the first sentence, okay? And we're going to
go all the way down. We're going to delete this paragraph because
we don't need this. As you can see, these
words are numbered because we need to plug
them into a system, it can create our puzzle pages. We need to remove
the numeration. I'm going to highlight
this and I'm going to make sure that we remove the numbers. We don't want it to be
numbered and you will know why we have this. Okay. Click again. Perfect. Okay. Now
they're not numbered. That's exactly what we need. The next step is
we're going to go ahead and pull up the pad. The computer note pad. Okay. All right. We have the
computer note pad, as you can see here now, these words that were
on Microsoft Word. We're going to go ahead and make sure we select all
of these words. We're going to copy them because we're going to paste
them on the notepad. Okay, let's copy that. We're going to copy, and we're going to
go to our notepad and we're going to
paste it here. Perfect. Okay, now in this lesson, you have learned where you
will get these words from. Very simple, you use chat GPT. It produced the words
that you needed. You copy those words into your Microsoftware document and then you remove the numerations. The fact that it's numbered,
you need to remove that once these words are
not numbered anymore, you copy and you paste it
onto your computer's notepad. In the next lesson, I will show you what
you're going to do with those words and where
you're going to plug them in, what system you're going
to plug them into. So that it can produce instantly the word search
pages that you need. I will see you on
the next lesson.
5. Puzzle Generator: Hi friends and welcome
to this lesson where I will teach
you what to do next. Once you have those words that
were populated on Cha GPT, we need to plug them in
somewhere because we need a generator that can produce these word church puzzle pages. Right? So that's what I'm going to teach you today. Follow me. In the past lesson, we
use PT to generate for us 250 words that we're going to use to create the
word church puzzle. Now we copied and pasted those words onto a
Microsoftware document, removed the numbers, and now we pasted it onto the no pad, your computer's no pad. What do we do next
is the question. Okay, now we need to separate these words the way that
they will appear per page. For example, we're going to
add a title and description. If you are producing a book about Bible verses or
positivity quotes, you can put on the title the theme of that positive
quote on the description. You can use the actual
If you're going to create a word search puzzle that has to do with
positive affirmations, the title can be
positive affirmations. Then the description can
be the actual affirmation, the word that you're using, whether it's empowered, whether it's a phrase
or just one word. For the sake of this example, since we're doing this
for fifth graders, we're going to use the
words high frequency words. Okay? On the description, we're going to put number one. We're going to
number each puzzle. Okay? But now we have to
separate these words. Remember that we
had said that we're going to use five
words per page. We're going to count
it out, 12345. When you've got into
the fifth word, you're going to go on
to the next and you're going to click on and just make sure
there are a couple of spaces in between
those sets of words. We're going to grab this here where it says
title description. We're going to copy it. We're going to paste it right on top of the next set of words. We're going to change puzzle number one to
puzzle number two. We're going to continue
to do this until we have the total of 50 separate
word search puzzles. Now that's puzzle number 212345. Adapt space based space. We're going to copy and paste, and we're going to
change the puzzle number 23 and so on and so forth. I'm going to go ahead
and forward through this because it might take maybe around five to 7 minutes.
Let's fast forward. Perfect. We just finished
separating each puzzle set. We're going to go ahead
and save this document. And I'm about to show you the puzzle generator that I use, that it is quite amazing. And you're going to
see how easy it is to just plug in these
words and boom, it's going to produce your
word search puzzle in seconds. Let's go ahead and save this. Save As right here. Just to go scroll down so that you could see
what it looks like. When I came across it online, I found that it was
extremely helpful. It was the one that helped
me produce it the fastest. The reason why I don't use a free puzzle generator is because it is so time consuming. You have to input each word
individually, one at a time. That takes too much time. As a mom, my time is limited. I need things that work faster, and I need to be able to produce books at a much quicker pace. I use this instant generator. It's called instant
puzzle generator, and you're going to see how
this works in just 1 minute. I'm going to go on my account. Right now I'm on my account and I have the instant
puzzle generator. I have access to this one. There's other ones too, but
this is the one that I have. I'm going to go to
IPG access now. It says Create a puzzle. That's exactly what
we're going to do. I'm going to click
on Create a Puzzle. I'm going to name it
fifth grade word. Excellent. Let me
click on Create. Then I'm going to
click on View here to the right hand
side. Upload Words. This is why we didn't save it in the Microsoftware
document because it would have not uploaded. It needs to be a TXT file. And when you do it
on your note pad, that's exactly what
it's going to give you. It's a TXT file. We're going to
select. In this case, it's this one right here,
the word fifth graders. Guess, look at this,
this is amazing. There you go. That's our puzzle, right? Those are the puzzles. Isn't this crazy? Do you
see how the title is? High frequency words and then the puzzle number
isn't this insane? Now, what we're
going to do, guys, we have our word search puzzle. These are going to be the
pages that are going to go on the interior of
your word search puzzle. We're missing one more piece, we're missing the book cover. That's exactly what I'm going to teach you in the next lesson. But first before we go
to the next lesson, I'm going to teach you
how to save your file. We're going to go here
to the right hand side on the down arrow. We're
going to click on it. We don't want to save
it as a PNG file, we need to be a PDF file. It's going to be 8.5 11. It's very important that you
keep that in mind because we're going to use this page trim size when we go to Canva and we create
the book cover. I will see you on the
next lesson where I will teach you how
you're going to put all this together and create a book cover on Canva.
I will see you there.
6. Design a Book Cover: Hey guys, welcome to this
lesson where we will be working on the book cover design. Follow me and let's begin. In the last lesson, we created the actual puzzles using
this puzzle generator, which the link you can
find under the resources. I already saved this
file as a PDF document. Now we're going to
go on to Canva. In this video, I'm going to
teach you exactly how easy it can be for you to actually
create a book cover. We are on Canva, so now we're
going to click on Create. Here to the right hand side. We are going to use, remember the 8.5 by
11 numeration that we saw in the instant
puzzle generator because that's the
size of the document. We're going to go here where
it says customized size. Then we're going
to change from x, we need inches,
it's already here. The 8.5 by 11. So I can just click on that,
but you can put it here, 8.5 and the height
is 11 perfect. Now we're going to go
ahead and create that. You don't want to copy other word search puzzles out there, but you definitely want to make sure that it looks
similar to that style. I'm going to show you
what you can do here. The first thing that we
need is a background. Let's see what we can
use as a background. You can use just a simple color. Let's use this blue right here. Then we are going to go click
on where it says Elements. We're going to
search for puzzle. Word puzzles. Okay? We're going to search
for word search puzzles. Okay? We have several we can use under photos,
we're going to see all. We are going to use one of
these for the book cover. Now you can scroll down, They have many different types of pictures that you can use. I'm going to use
this one right here. Let me just minimize it here
to the right hand side. I'm going to leave it here. Now we're going to give
it a bit of a shadow, and you will know
what I mean by that. We're going to click
on that image. We're going to click here
on Edit Photo at the top. We're going to scroll down
and where it says Effects, it says Shadows to the left
wing to click on that. And I'm going to choose
the one that says Glow. Let me expand that a little bit. We're going to add some text. We're going to click on Text. I'm going to click
here on Add a heading. We are going to spell out the word word because it
is a word search puzzle. I'm going to change the
font here at the top, maybe to like the Leaks. Pardon. Or the Bobby Jones. Let's do Bobby Jones expand that a little bit because in the other word
search puzzles that we saw, they had those words
in a big size. Now we can add an effect.
We can add a shadow, little bit of a
shadow in the back. Then we can even change
the word search, where it says word search, we can change the color on that. Maybe we could do a yellow, then maybe make it
a bit more. Okay. I think I like that
we can do that, but now we have to add the
fact that it's for kids. I'm going to go ahead and
click on Add a Heading again. I'm going to use the word
high frequency words. I'm going to put that here. Let me duplicate that. I'm going to bring it
down to the bottom. And I'm going to put four fifth grade kids so that our audience knows
exactly who this is for. Let me change the
font to Bobby Jones. And then let me change
the on the words high frequency words to
Bobby Jones as well. Let me just bring the word
search word a little bit down. This one a little bit down, I'm going to add some
effects on these words. Let me go down to
where it says effects. We're going to click
on it. Then we're going to scroll down
where it says Background. We can add that yellow, or we can change the color
maybe to like an orange. We can do orange as well. Then we're going to
do the same thing to the words high
frequency words. Click on it, click on
Effects at the top. Scroll down to the
left hand side and click on Background. We're going to scroll down
and we're going to choose the color here to that orange. Wait, where is it? Okay, orange. Okay, that works. Okay. We're almost done guys. So it's very simple
and you could always play around with this and you can perfect it as you go. That's definitely doable. We have this, but now we're
going to add some icons. We're going to
click on Elements. We're going to use
the word school, let's say, because
it is for kids. Let's look for icons that
have to do with school. Might click on graphics. And under graphics,
let's see what we find. Nobooks, we can use this. Remember, you can change
the colors on these, this element, for instance, we can change it to purple. We're going to put it down,
we're going to put it all around that crossword image. Let's go back to Elements. We're going to
click on School and see what other
things we can find. See all I like, maybe the pencils
will be a good idea. Okay. We're going to
put it on this side. Then we have a backpack
that's perfect. We can use a backpack. Who do? We can use this backpack
and then you can also like shift it so that
it looks a little different. Let's add a school
bus that's perfect. So we can add that. It may be rotated a little
bit to the right. I love the light bulb. I don't know what is
it with light bulbs, but I love light bulbs when
it has to do with kids, activity books or
things of that sort. But I'm going to
change the yellow to make it a little brighter. There you go, that's
a little better. Now, we're going to
go back to Elements. Let's click on the
School, Go back, go back and see all their graphics
and continue to look for more elements
that we can add. Let's see, we have
a little globe. I like the globe, It has that orange color. I also like to make sure that there's like a color scheme. For example, we're
going to use oranges, yellows, and blue. We have to make sure that we
have those color elements. Now, I'm just going to continue
to choose other icons. Maybe this rainbow looking thing with paper clips and an apple. Let's put it here on this side. Maybe move this a little down, put this here,
rotated to the right. And then there is maybe
like a baseball screen. I like this right here. And then let's see if we can
choose two more maybe kits. I like this kits. We can put it here in
the middle, that works. Guess what guys? We
have a book cover, now we need the back
of the book cover. We're going to add a page. I'm so excited to
see that simple. Now, we're going
to go to the back and we're going to
add just a few words. I'm going to go ahead
and go on text. And I could add something like, Let the adventure begin. Okay, the adventure begin. Let the adventure begin. Let me change the font on this, and I can even change the
color to maybe like a yellow. Let's try that again.
Okay, perfect. Let the adventure began on
the back of the book cover, especially for a word search. We want to make sure that
we're giving the audience, whoever is going to
purchase this book, a preview of what
this looks like. What we're going to do
is we're going to upload that PDF file that we have with our word search puzzle pages. Now that we upload
it onto Canva, it won't appear here and I will show you
where it will appear. I'm going to go back
to the Canva home. Okay, let me just
refresh the screen. Go back to the Canva home. Now that we're here, I'm
going to scroll down now. It's going to show up
here on our screen. Says fifth grade puzzle.
We're going to click on that. We have our puzzles.
We're going to download. We make sure it's PNG. We're going to
click Select Pages. We're going to select
all the pages, and we're only going
to select page one, a PNG file, we need
to save the images. Okay, we're going to do this for the first page and
the second page. Okay, let me do that. We're going to download. Go to download then
make sure it's a PNG deselect the first page. Click on the second page. Done and download. Now we have two images. We're going to upload
these two puzzle pages onto Canva right here. Click on Upload files. And under downloads,
we have them here. Let me upload the first one. Now I'm going to click
on Upload files again, and I will click
on the second one. These are the pages that
we're going to use on the back of the word
search puzzle book cover. Now that we have that here,
we're going to switch onto the actual book
cover that we designed. Here we have it. We're
going to refresh this page. Okay, it's refreshing. Click on Uploads. Yeah, we have them here
to the left hand side. I'm going to click
on the first one. I'm going to click
on the second one. Now, let me just move this out
of the way and guess what? We're going to make
this a little bigger. We're going to
minimize this one. Minimize this one. It
looks plain, right? We don't want this
to look plain, guys. What we're going to do is
my favorite thing to do. We're going to add a shadow. We're going to click
on the first page. Then we're going to
click on Edit Photo. We're going to scroll down
where it says Effects. We're going to add a shadow. Boom, big difference. We're going to click
on the next page, right here to the
right hand side. And we're going
to click on Glow, where it says Glow the shadow. What a difference. This is amazing. So I'm
going to just shift it here. There you go. We're almost done. You can add some more
text here at the bottom. We can add something else. And if you don't
know what to add, that's why we have ChagPT. You can always go on Chachi
BT and ask it follow me. We're going to go to chat. We're going to
provide a back blurb for a word surge puzzle
book four fifth graders. But not only that two sentence back blur, something simple. I clicked on Enter and now let's see what chat GPT populates. It's search, it's
going. Here we go. Engage your fifth graders love of four language and
problem solving with our challenging and
entertaining word search puzzle book
designed to enhance vlcary and critical
thinking skills while providing hours
of fun and learning. We're not going to use this. You don't want to use word for word from a GBT.
Make it your own. What I will use is engage
your fifth graders. I'm going to just copy this. I'm going to go back to
the word book cover. I'm going to paste it here. Okay? As you can see here, I have it, but I'm going to
change it and modify it. Engage your fifth graders. Love. Engage your fifth graders with our challenging and
entertaining word search puzzle designed to enhance vocabulary and critical thinking skills. We're going to remove
critical thinking skills. We're just going to leave
enhanced vocabulary skills while providing hours
of fun and learning. Perfect. That works. All I have to do here, the
only thing that's left for me to do is just
change the fund. Into the fund that
I've been using so that everything is cohesive. Guys we are do you have
your book front cover and the back cover and you also have the word search
puzzle interior. You have your book interior. You have your PDF file, and you have your word
search book cover. What do you do next? All you have to do
now is uploaded onto the Amazon KDP platform
and you are alive. Your book is published. Congratulations, you are
officially a word search puzzle. Pro, you have made it. This is it. I am
so proud of you. All you have to do is repeat the process and you
are on your way to creating a series of word search puzzle
books that you can sell on Amazon, KDP. Guys, once again,
congratulations. Love.
