1. Intro: What you're looking for a job or searching for new clients, chances are that the communication
happens through email. Emails are a major means of
communication in our day, and especially when you're using it for professional reasons. Well, they have to
look professional. One of the best ways to
level up your e-mails is to use an e-mail signature
that looks professional, represents you and it has all the relevant information
the recipient may need. In this course, we
will talk about the importance of
email signatures, how to create one,
and of course, how to add it to
your image client. There are many free
online tools you can use to create your
email signature. But for the purpose
of this course, I created the symbol
tool that they will use to create
the email signature. And of course added to my Gmail account In case you
would like to use this one, I will add a link in the
description without further ado. Let's get started.
2. Why you should have an email signature: Having an e-mail
signature when sending an email is like giving
someone your business card. If you're a professional who
wants to up their game and better your personal
branding you should have on. First of all, they
look professional. Imagine that you're applying for a job by sending them an email. Now, this is a plain text email. You write it any assignment off with regards and your name. That's pretty boring right? Now, imagine that you're
writing the same e-mail, but instead of signing
off booth just your name. You also have a
picture of yourself, a phone number, maybe
your website, and so on. This looks much better, right? Even a very plain signature
can make your image look more professional and help you convince the recipient
to give you a job. It shows that you
are professional and that you are
taking it seriously. Number to have in an e-mail signature makes
it easier to conduct year. Since email signatures
contain personal information, then make it easier for the
recipient to contact you, for example, by phone. Now let's go back to
our previous example and imagine that you are
writing the same e-mail, of course, without
the signature and you forget to add your phone number. You realize this a
couple of minutes later. So you send them a
second email saying, Hey there, I forgot to
give you my phone number. So here it is. Well, this is not
professional level. Edit would not have
happened if you had an e-mail signature
in the first place. Three email signatures can
help you attract followers. It is very common to add social profiles on
email signatures, and this makes it easier
for recipients to find you on Facebook, let's say, or Instagram. And of course, if they
elect your content, they will follow you there. Or let's say that you
have a personal blog. You may even attract
new readers. Number for email signatures help you be more recognizable. It goes without saying
that you should RD or photo on your
email signature, whether it be your logo if you have one or just your face, if you decided to use
a personal image, I would try to match
it with the ones on your social media so that
you have consistency. So now that you know why it is important to have an
e-mail signature, Let's go ahead and create one.
3. Create the email signature: So you can find many
free tools to create your email signature by just Googling three email signature. Let me open this one by
HubSpot Otherland sample. You can select how your email
signature will look like. And let's, let's go
with this one is you can also fill in your
personal information. Of course, like all tools, your website URL,
e-mail address. You can also audio or a physical address
if you would like, even though if you
had not accompany, I would not do that. If you're a freelancer,
for example, I would not know I
would or would not want someone to know my home address. You can also add
your social media, as we said before, like LinkedIn, Facebook,
Twitter, Instagram. You can also set the colors in order to match your
personal branding. If you have any calls, for example, that
you usually use. Also the font, the
font size, of course. And last but not least, the pictures as I
see in this one, you can also create
a CTA button. That's one. Neutron is nice. Let's
try another tool. For example, my
signature dot io. And let's go actually
to free templates. You can select the Templates likely with one with HubSpot. And yeah, you can fill in the forums with
this one actually, you can select
more social media. For example, if
you're a YouTuber, you cannot deal
YouTube channel here. Yeah, you can browse around and find a solution
like the most. But for the purpose
of this course, I will use the one I created, which is a very simple one, as you can see here in the top, we have the final result, how the signature look like. There are no templates
to select from. You can also note
and social media. Yeah, this is a pretty
basic signature with just your image, your
personal information, name, and position for number, email, and just your websites. That's all. And thus basically the most
important stuff you need on a signature are borrowed
from the social media, but not to keep
this chord symbol to follow and straightforward. I did note out social
media functionality here. You can feel free, of course, to use any other tool
with social media because it's important to
have them on your signature. So let's get started
by adding the name. And then they position. And then they phone number. Also they email. Yeah, I will just
leave this as it is. And the website, maybe I will
add my real website here. And also the image will in
order to keep your privacy secure and not need to
upload your photo somewhere. I did not include the
upload functionality. So all you have to do is find the photo you
would like to add. And based on the URL
here, for example, you can use the photo you have
on Facebook, for example, does your profile picture or the one from your Twitter
or Instagram photo just needs to be
uploaded somewhere. And you can paste the URL here. So let me just do that. And the signature
is basically ready. That's it. We can see the preview
being already updated with my photo and everything
else that we added. So I have to do is just
copy the signature. So yeah, if he noticed that
there are instructions here on the right
side of the phage. Basically, I just
have to fill in the email signature and
then click the Copy button, which is always what we did. And then go to settings
on the SAML provider. For this one, I will use Gmail as we said.
So let me go there. And now here on the general dub, if we scroll down
almost to the bottom, we can save this
signature setting. Basically I have
no signature here, so I will just create a new one and just
name it signature. And as you can see here, there is a blank box
created already for me, which basically
means that you can create a basic signature here. For example, you
can add a photo, you can add text and
chains they formed, or make it bigger. Make it bold. You can do pretty basic stuff, but you cannot change the
template, the layout. So let me delete that. And basically they have
to do is to paste. Since we click the
Copy button on the tool and we can see
the signature of here. So let's scroll all the way to the bottom and
click Save Changes. So basically our
signature is created. And in order to verify that, Let's compose a new email, some text here, and
there is no signature. Basically you have that lead to this insert signature icon and select the
signature just created. And just like that, the
signature is added to the ML. Now I could send this e-mail, but I don't want to select the signature every time
I am creating an e-mail. So basically, let me go back to settings and scroll back
to the signature settings. And here, signature defaults. Change this to just
the signature. Go back to save. And let's compose another email where we can see that the
signature is already added. No need to add it
manually anymore. Basically, this is useful if you have multiple signatures
that you would like to use. Or maybe you have email
or lysis and you have a different e-mail signature
for each Himalayas. But there you could also set the default signature
for that email as well. And that's basically it.

signature can show professionalism and also
boosts your personal brand. By now you should
