Create a Minimal Bullet Journal Layout

1. Intro and Supplies: Hi, I'm Nicky Crystal. And this class is how to create a minimal bullet journal layout. This class is for new beast Ebola journaling who want to start but can't because I think that it requires a lot of artistic ability. It doesn't. This class is also for people who are already bullets, darling, but would like to simplify their spreads. By the end of this class, you will know how to create a clean and simple yet attractive, minimal bullet journal layout. The supplies I used for this class are in a five bullet journal. Ah, fine liner pin, a mechanical pencil, an eraser, one ruler and one color marker. I also used to wire binder clips. That's all the supplies we need, so let's get started. 2. Bullet Journal Setup: I like to start with the monthly layout first, because my goal is to have a big picture overview of the months task notes or events. Now I usually sketch this out with pencil first, but this month I just once traded with the ink and the color in this minimal set up, you noticed that there is no thing there, no doodles. There's no elaborate handwriting, and there's only one accent color other than the ink. In previous classes, we've done more decorative monthly's with several colors and doodles, and it's a lot of fun, but it does take time. Our goal this month is a pared down, minimal looked that is quick and easy to put together. I sketched out that each day will take about six by seven on this doctorate notebook, but notice that we didn't draw out the individual squares. Skipping that saved a lot of time, and it makes the calendar look more spacious. I'm setting up the first weekly for more detailed view of my task and more space to journal , and this bread is perfect for people who like to write bullets and like to write vertically . We will create some horizontal spreads later, but I'm modeling this spread off of another spread that I did uses more color and more Washington Later, if I don't like this minimal look, I will at washing take to this one, too. Changing up the spread a little from week to week keeps it fun. Week two is also good for vertical writing and bulleted lists, but I'm making it more airy by removing some lines. The next layout I will show you in Week three will be a horizontal layout. But for right now, I'm really loving the simplicity of these little dots. Horizontal layout is perfect for someone who likes to capture their thoughts and do a lot of journaling. And this 1st 1 reminds me of the spread I did in my January set up, but without the colors and the doodles. And a box on a layout is perfect for someone who needs a little bit of structure in their layouts. I like the way this one looks with the staggered dates and days. It gives it a more attractive look in an otherwise bland spread. - Often you'll see a bullet journalist draw a mini calendar into a weekly spread. Some people like the have a mini calendar nearby to help them remember which week there in and I don't mind this. I really loved watching artist to draw out the dates of the month, but strangely, I don't like to draw them out myself. I guess it just takes up too much time. But if you would like a mini monthly counter in any of your weekly spreads, you don't have to draw it out. You can just simply print out a mini calendar from the Internet and picks it to your weekly layout in Week four. Eliminate the boxes with each date separated by just one line. Stagger the lines to make the layout more attractive. I think using the same color on each page helped create a clean, cohesive look. I've chosen a pale blue for April. You could change it up by choosing a different color for May. A week. Five layout was supposed to have staggered days as well, but I changed my mind at the last minute, and I decided to go for a more symmetrical look. I have shown you five different weekly spreads, but you could easily take any one of these and use for each week in the mom If you need trackers in your bullet journal, but you want to keep it simple, try this linear mood tracker and have a tracker. I use these tractors in every video. It's quick and it gets the job done. You only have to write the dates twice, and you're finished off course. Trackers are not obligatory in your bullet journal, but I find them invaluable as they draw me back to my journal with a strong desire to improve my health and wellness. So here's a final flip through the pages we created in this class, and this layout has to be the cleanest, simplest spread I've ever done here on skill share.
