1. Welcome to Collaborate with AI: Hi there. You're probably
here because you're like me. You're wondering if
AI has a place in your creative workflow as a creative business owner or
just a creative in general. I'm here to share
with you how I've been able to use it my
creative business to really supercharge my own
creativity and take some of the busy
work off of my plate and create a collaborative
brainstormer that doesn't replace in any way, shape, or form my
own creativity, but really enhances my workflow. We're going to address
the fear of AI, and we're going to reframe it as a supportive tool in
your creative process. And at the end of this
course, I've included a bonus that will
show you how to use a custom hatiPT to support your sales and
marketing efforts. So stick
2. Why Customize a GPT for Creativity: Going to talk about
how we actually customize a GPT and
why it's important. You may have already dabbled
a little bit with Chat GPT, and there's a prompt and
there's an empty screen. Imagine you're gonna
hire real person. What kinds of skills does
that person need to have? And what role does that
person play on your team? Those are the things
that if you create your own custom GPT are saved in the context of the prompts. So when you start to ask
that specific GPT question, it already knows the context of the role it's supposed to
play. Let's get started.
3. Setting Up Your Creative Assistant GPT (Step-by-Step Walkthrough): Okay, so I've logged into
my hat GPT interface. This is what it looks like, and I'm going to create a new GPT. So in the upper
right hand corner, select your name
and select my GPTs. And now we're going
to create a GPT, and this opens up the
GPT creation interface. This is where you're
going to copy and paste the two paragraphs out of the PDF that defined the skill set and the role from my
new creative collaborator. And now, while that
GPT is being created, the next thing that's gonna happen that's gonna
give it a name. So Chat TBT is suggesting that I name this
my creative companion, but I really like to
give my GBTs names of people 'cause it feels like I'm actually collaborating with
somebody in a different way. So let's say let's name it. Clint the creative Companion. Okay, the GBT is being updated. Now they're gonna create a
profile picture for Clint. Sometimes the pictures
are really bad. Sometimes they're pretty funny. So let's see what happens. Okay, Clint that
is totally fine. That works. Okay. So now I've got Clint and ask me if there's anything
else they need to know, Ame feedback or things they
want Clint to emphasize. Let's leave it as
it is right now, and let's over here on
the right hand side, we can preview to see how Clint is going
to respond to me. So now I'm going
to say, Hi, Clint, please assign me a
creative project complete with constraints
and deliverables, and now Clint is assigning me a project just as a
creative director may. There's project brief,
art direction, style. There's different constraints. Then there's deliverables. So this is going to be a really great place
for you to start. And as you continue to work with Clint or whatever your
name your collaborator. Let's say I'm gonna create. I'm going to just give
it access to only me. And this is actually creating
the GPT. So here we are. And when you create PTs, they appear over here
on the left hand side. So, Clint the creative
companion has now been created, and it comes with even
some sample prompts below, like, help me brainstorm ideas. And as you continue
to work with Clint, you can always go back and
adjust the instructions. Again, what I included in the PDF was a good
starting point. But you may want to
tweak it to better suit your needs or better
portray your voice. So if you want to update
the instructions, you just open your GPT, select on the GPT's name, and you say, Edit GPT. That's going to pull
back up the definition. And on the left hand side, is there anything you'd
like to change? So let's say when brainstorm
and creative ideas suggest more unconventional
or imaginative directions, not just literal
interpretations. So I've now updated
Clint's instructions, and that is just an example
of how you can tweak how Clint or your creative
companion responds to you. You can continue to iterate. You can try some new prompts. And then that's it. It's surprisingly simple,
but it's really powerful, and it could be a
really amazing tool in your creative toolbox.
4. Using AI to Break Through Creative Blocks: Now we're gonna talk about
some creative prompts that you can use while you're working with your creative collaborator. Have you ever
decided that you're gonna spend the day
creating and you sit down and you just stare completely blank and
you don't know what to do, whether it's, like, what am I gonna do or you start
to panic a little bit, and you're not inspired or you don't know what
direction to take, and you just don't have a plan. And you're not feeling
creative at all. Sometimes I go for a walk,
and I do other things, move my body and
come back to it. But even then, sometimes the
page stays blank, right? You just have creative walk. Let's talk through a
couple ways that ChachiBT can assist you in overcoming some of these creative blocks. One of the things that I found really interesting is
that sometimes it gives me exploratory projects like create an editorial illustration
that only has three colors. You can even explore
different subject matter with it, which is
kind of interesting. And it can simulate an
actual creative director working with you for
even a portfolio piece that you can use to
try and actually land a job with that
kind of project. Sometimes having constraints can open up your creative box. And sometimes it's really
hard to do that to yourself. And this is where it gets really interesting because if
you've got a sounding board, and don't be afraid to
have a conversation with Clint Clint can help
you brainstorm. I found this so
incredibly helpful on the days when I just don't know what I'm going to
create or what I'm gonna do, especially when I've set time aside to create and I've got a bunch of
other things to do. Now I've got somebody that
can help figure it out with.
5. Avoiding Over-Reliance and Common AI Pitfalls: Going to talk about
over reliance on using AI and maintaining
your creative voice. So that was surprisingly
straightforward. But there's another conversation
that needs to be had. Let's talk a little bit
about the pitfalls. You can't rely 100% on
this AI model. It's new. Not even the experts really understand exactly how it works. So, it has to be
a starting point. If it creates an idea for you, then maybe you take
it to the next step and you make it your own.
And you can push back. One of the things that happens when you're
collaborating with even a human person on your team is that you
have a conversation. And so that's where the
magic kind of happens. If you push Clint or your
creative collaborator in a way that you would push a
conversation with a person. Hey, that's not really
what I meant or no, that's not really
what I was going for. Let's try something
like this. And that's when the critical
thinking can happen, and that's when
your creative flow can maybe become unlocked. Maybe Clin will give you an idea about something that you weren't
even considering, but you're like, Oh, well, that's a fantastic idea.
Let me make that mine. How can I take that
idea and make it mine? So one of the pitfalls
is not to use the information
that comes out of this model word for word. It is a model and it is a tool. But one of the things that
we all need to embrace as creatives is that
AI is not going away. And one of the
things that we can do is we can learn
how to leverage it in a way that can improve
our own creative process. This is not a tool that's
going to replace you. In no way, shape, or form, do I feel robbed of my
own creative process when I leverage this
tool in my own workflow. It actually enhances
it and, again, can actually push me to new creative places that I
may not have gone before. And that's what I'm really hoping that you get out of this.
6. Final Thoughts and Next Steps: So let's recap what we
just did in this course. I talked you through
how to create a custom GPT and
how to train it and give direction so it can fill the role as a digital
creative collaborator. There are sample
prompts that are in the PDF. Again,
you can use those. I want you to continue to
experiment and refine. Don't forget. You can also
update Clint's instructions. I'm going toall him Clint
because that's my name is mine. But you can always
go back and refine the actual instructions
and tweak their role. Maybe the tone isn't
exactly what you want, or maybe the responses aren't
exactly what you want. This is about iteration and
learning how to use it. Again, it's a tool. It's a
tool just like any other tool, just like all the digital
creative tools that you use. It was a tool to enhance
your creativity, and now you're ready
to go and try it. So for more prompts, make sure you refer to the PDF that is accompanying this course
because there are prompts you can copy and
paste directly from there. I included the instructions
for creating another GPT. And this GPT is going to be for sales and marketing within
your creative business. So take a look at it, copy
and paste the instructions, use the same rules that
we've already covered, test it, iterate, and
you're gonna have another awesome digital member of your team. Alright,
let's get started.
