So why is branding important? Well, in today's competitive market, creating a strong brand identity is crucial for any business. Your brand is what sets you apart from your competitors. By the end of the class, you have a professional and cohesive brand identity that sets you apart and helps you to achieve your business goals. So are you ready to take your branding to the next level? Let's get started. 2. Brand Name: Now I'm going to show you how to choose a brand name that aligns with your business goals and values. We will discuss why it's important to choose a memorable and unique brand name that accurately represents your business. Your brand name is the first thing that your customers will see and hear about your business. It's important to choose a name that accurately represents your business and resonates with your target audience. A good brand name should be easy to remember, unique, and have a positive connotation. A strong and a memorable brand name can help your business stand out in a crowded market and build trust with your audience. You should reflect on your business values and goals and communicate what your business is all about when choosing a brand name, it's important to consider your target audience and what kind of name would resonate with them. Think about what kind of feeling you want your brand to evoke and what kind of message you want to convey. Now, if you're struggling to come up with a brand name, consider using a name generator tool, ai, or consulting with others, such as friends, family members, colleagues to get their input and ideas. So I'm gonna give you a few examples by showing you some different websites that you can use to come up with some brand name ideas. Now first of all that we have chat GPT. Here we'll be using AI to help us come up with a brand name idea. Now for my example, I have already come up with a business niche, and that is classic car restoration. Now I've also already written a brief description about this business, just so that we have something to put into chat GPT. So now I'm going to write into the prompt down here. Please. Can you give me ten brand name ideas? Here is a brief description about my business. Then I'm simply going to paste in the description and hit Enter. So I've written it please. Can you give me ten brand name ideas? Here is a brief description about my business. And then I have added a brief description about this made-up business idea that I have already written. Then as you can see, chat to GPT has given us ten possible brand name ideas that we can use for our business. So we have some interesting ones here. I quite like next-gen classic cars and classic revive and smart restore as well. I quite like those ones. But I'm not just going to pick one of these ideas instead because I like number seven. I'm going to ask it to generate more ideas that are similar to number seven. Okay, so now it's going to give us some more brand name ideas similar to next-gen classic cars. We have new age restorations, modern vintage auto, classic car innovations. I quite like that. Innovative restoration. So we have a good view. Quite cool brand name ideas that we could possibly use. So we're going for a sort of classic car restoration business that uses tech and AI in the restoration process. So now that we have these ideas, let's have a look at another brand name generator at all to see what that will generate for us as well. So here we have name lakes. Now I'm simply going to write in here, I've added some keywords, classic car restoration, ai, technology, and smart. So let's see what this will generate. First, we need to select a name style. I quite like the old styles button, so let's use that randomness. Let's go for medium and brand info. We have a short one-sentence description of your business or product. I'll copy one of sentences that I wrote earlier for the business description and paste that in just there. And then we can click Generate. And there we go. So now, namely x has generated some possible ideas for us as well. Now I think the chats GPT gave us some better ideas. But this is another option that we can use. Now we're going to take a look at one more business name generator code named snack. So I'm simply going to paste in the same keywords as I did a name lakes. And I'm going to click Generate category. I'll type in classic car restoration. And then it will start to generate. Okay, So we have some interesting ones here. Classic car, no, AI, auto tech, MVP, classic cars, AI concepts, smart classic cars, c, k, l classics. Okay, So we have some interesting ones here. I don't think that any of these are two good. So I'm gonna go back to chat GPT. So these are all potential brand names for our business. So it's important to check whether these are actually available. We don't want to choose a brand name that's already in use or that could create confusion with another brand. What we're going to do is take one of these brand name ideas and we're going to put it into a tool that will check whether it's available as a domain name, and it will also check it on all social media platforms as well. So I'm going to take next-gen classic cars. I'm going to paste it into this tool here called name checker. Then this tool will check where this name is and isn't available. So let's have a look and see where it's available. Okay, so the dotcom isn't available and the Facebook is unavailable. The Twitter has had an error, but most of the other usernames are available. Let's click Load more and we can check a load more websites. So we can have a look at more domains at the bottom down here, and some more social media platforms as well. So let's test this again by checking another of the generated brand names on jet GPT. I think that classic car innovations sounds like a good one. So that's simply paste that into this tool and click Search. So we can see that the.com is available and more of these social platforms are available as well. So for the brand that we're going to be creating, we're going to use the name classic car innovations. Remember that your brand name should be consistent across all touch points, including your website, social media, marketing materials. This helps build trust with your audience and make your brand more memorable. Your brand name is the foundation of your brand identity. So it's important to choose a name that aligns with your business goals and values. It should be memorable, unique, and accurately represent your business and what it stands for. So now I want you to go ahead and brainstorm and use tools like the ones that I've shown you to find a suitable brand name for your business. Once you've selected a suitable brand name, you'll be ready to move on to the next step. 3. Colour Palette: Now I'll show you how to build a color palette that reflects your brand's personality and values. In this video, we'll discuss the importance of understanding color theory and how to choose a color palette that accurately represents your brand. Color is a powerful tool for communicating emotions and creating a visual identity for your brand. Choosing the right colors can help your brand stand out and connect with your audience. When choosing a color palette for your brand, it's important to consider your brand's personality and values. Think about what kind of emotions you want to evoke in your audience and what kind of message you want to communicate. In Canva, you can easily create a custom color palettes using the Color Palette Tool. Start by choosing your primary color, which will be the dominant color in your branding. From there, you can add complementary or contrasting colors to create a color scheme that suits your business. And you can find this page at canva.com, forward slash colors, forward slash color palette generator. Or you can simply Google Canva color palette generator. So here you have a couple of options. You can either upload an image and it will create a color palette from that image, as you can see this example just here. Or alternatively, you can scroll down and use the create a custom palette tool. Hey, you'll be taken to the color wheel page where you can pick a dominant color. And then from there you can select the secondary color for your color palettes. Because I'm creating a business based on classic car restorations, it will probably be best for me to upload a photo of a classic car and then get the colors from that photo. But the color wheel option is a great one as well, because you can select your dominant color. Let's say we go for a, let's say like a dark blue color here is our dominant color. Then you can choose the color combination. So you can either have complimentary or any of these other options down here. Now you can simply click onto these to see how they look and see how they all compare. As of course, it's your brand and it is completely up to you. Then you can change these colors by clicking onto them. And you can change how they look based on changing the hue, saturation, and luminance. Then you can either export your color palettes or use it to create a graphic within Canva. Alternatively, if you want to use the Upload photo option, we can go back and upload an image that we want Canva to create a color palette from. I have downloaded a photo of a classic car. So I'm going to upload that photo, this photo here. So I'm going to double-click this photo. As you can see, Canva has turned this photo into a color palette. Now unfortunately, it's not actually used the red, which is quite annoying. So I'm going to upload another image. We have the red colors on here as well now, but not the shiny reds. So if the Canva color palette tool isn't working well for you, there are always other color palette tools that you can use. E.g. here we have colors, dots, CO. This is another color palette generator similar to the Canva one, but it has a few of our features. So let's click Start the generator. And this will simply generate a color palette. Then if you don't like it, symbolically space and it will generate a new one. You can continue clicking space until you find a color palette that you like. And you can always customize these colors or remove them by using the options when you hover over each color. So if you don't like this one here, delete it, and I'll delete the yellow as well. And to change a color, click View shades. And you can change the shade of that color. Alternatively, to upload a photo, to create a color palette from click the photo icon up here. And then you can either upload a photo, entering the URL for a photo, use your camera and take a photo, or alternatively use stock images. So I'm going to search in the stock image library for classic car. And then I'm going to use this photo here again. Now this will open the image picker and let us choose where on the image we want to get the colors from. Now I like that it's using the red. And the second one is using the sky. And the third one is using the blue in the background. I'm actually going to change the slightly, I'm going to change this one to be the wheel. I think actually the frame of the car just here. And I'm going to change the first color to try and find a more vibrant red. There we go. I think that that is absolutely perfect. So then once you are happy, click Next. You can open the color palette in the generator. So here we can see the colors that we have chosen in full screen. So this is an absolutely fantastic way to build your color palettes. When choosing colors for your palette, consider the emotions you want to evoke in your audience. Warm colors like red and orange can create excitement and energy. While cool colors like blue and green can create a sense of calm and relaxation. Your color palette should accurately reflect your brand's personality and values. If your brand is playful and fun, you might want to choose bright and bold colors. If your brand is more serious and professional, you might want to choose more muted, neutral colors. Your color palette should be consistent across all of your branding materials, from your logo to your website, to your social media graphics. There's consistency helps build trust with your audience and make your brand more memorable. So take your time to choose colors that accurately represent your brand's personality and values and communicate the right message to your audience. Now that I've chosen these three colors for my color palette, I'm going to note down the color codes. We have 80, 60cf, b, F to E, D, and 27283. It is absolutely crucial that you remember and keep track of the color codes for your color palettes. And as you can see, this has also given us a description for each of the colors. We have dark red, seashell and arrays in black. And I think this is an absolutely fantastic color palette. So now go ahead and create your own color palette that will accurately represent your business and resonate with your target audience. 4. Brand Fonts: Now we will discuss the importance of choosing the right fonts for your branding and how to create a cohesive visual identity for your brand using Canva when it comes to creating a visual identity for your brand, font choice is just as important as your color palettes and logo design. Your choice of fonts can evoke different emotions and set the tone for your brand's message. I'm just going to create a blank logo project. And then we can have a look at Canvas font library. So if I click on the text over here, and I will just add an empty text box. And we can use this default text. If I select it and click onto fonts. Over here, we can see Canvas font library. Using Canvas font library and topography tools, you can easily create a cohesive visual identity for your brand that's accurately represents your brand's personality and values. To get started, consider the different types of fonts available, such as serif or sans-serif and script fonts. Serif fonts are elegant and traditional. And san serif fonts are more modern and clean. Then we have script fonts. These are more playful and whimsical. As you can see. These are all of the script fonts that are available within Canva. So you need to go ahead and look through the different fonts to see which fits your brand personality and feels right to you. Now once you've chosen the font types that you want to use for your branding, it's important to select the specific fonts that accurately represent your brand's personality and values. Think about the message that you want to communicate and choose fonts that align with that message. I recommend going through the different types of fonts and looking at all of the individual fonts for each font type. So we have Script Serif and Sans Serif, and then go ahead and choose the fonts that you want to use. Now I recommend choosing one or two different fonts that you can use as a font combination. Your branding, if you're struggling to find fonts that you want to use within Canva. Then another great way to find good fonts is to go to Font pair.co. And from here you can either select a font category and start exploring, or you could go to pairings and view all of these font pairings. So you can simply scroll down and have a look at loads of different font combinations to see how they look together. And as you can see, they're all laid out nicely. So you can have a look at some great font combinations to see if you think they will look good for your brand. So this is Font pair.co, and this is another great tool to use to find suitable fonts for your brand. Now, I'm going to be using a font called formula, which is this one here. So we have a formula about, we have the regular formula fonts, and then we have a formula ultralight. I'm going to select the formula bold font, just so that you can see how it looks in this text here. Forming about will be my main bold font and then my secondary font for paragraph text. If I copy, this will be the regular formula fonts. So there we go. We have formula about and the regular formula fonts. This is my font selection, as you can see just here. So by now you should have chosen your fonts and of course, your color palettes already. And once you've done that, we're going to go ahead and create a brand board within Canva. So using Canvas brand board template, you can easily create a cohesive visual identity for your brand. This will make it really easy for you to use your brand's color palette and font choices to create a consistent look and feel across all of your branding materials. So let's go back to our Canvas dashboard. But remember the fonts that you have chosen. And what we're going to do is search for brand board. As you can see, this is what we're looking for. So I'm going to click on today's right here. Now we can see loads of different brand board templates that we can use to create a visual identity for our brand. Now whichever template you use, you will have to change it for your own brand anyway. So just select a template that you like the look and feel of. And then we can begin to create our own brand board. Now, I quite like this one here. So I'm going to select this template here and click customize these templates. So this allows us to display our logo, our color palette, our logo variations are fonts, and finally, images that gives you a feel for your brand as well. So first of all, I'm going to delete the logo and also the logo variations. As of course, we will be creating our own logo for our brand. Then all we need to do is customize our color palette with our own brand colors, the fonts, and the images down here as well. Now I'm simply going to delete both of these and I'm going to paste in my color palette that I've already created. Now as you can see, we have the light's color, the dark color, and the red color with the color code below each of them. You can do exactly what I've done. And that is the color palette section. Of your brand board done. Then after that, we have the font section at the bottom down here. Now I already know which fonts I'm going to be using. So I'm going to select all of this text and I'm going to go for a formula boat. However, I don't want all of this to be forming a bold. So then for the bottom two, I'm only going to select formula. Then I'm going to select all of this and simply make the text bigger on all of them just so that they're easier to read. Then one more thing that we're going to have to do is change the top text here so that it's the name of the font. There we go. Then we have our font section complete as well. So we're going to be using the formula bold font and also the regular formula fonts as well, which we could put into about setting if we needed to. In fact, what I'm going to do for this top text here is used formula board. But I'm also going to make that bold as well, just to make it a bit darker. And of course, Boulder. There we go, That is absolutely perfect. Fantastic. So now we have the color palette and the fonts on our brand board all completed. Now I may also change the background of our brand board to be the light's color for our brand as well. Now this will make the color palette for the light color disappear, but we already know what that color is. As we have the color code just here below, it's anyway. So there we go. We have our three colors, and we have our fonts down here as well. Then I'm going to do is change some of these images. I'm going to click onto these images and remove them. And these elements on top of the images to be deleted as well. There we go. Then this is simply a color block, so I'll change that to our red color. And then we're just going to go to elements and search for classic car. Then we can add some nice classic car photos to these image elements down here. Okay, so which one suits our brand? You should already have some photos for your brand board. But this is just a quick example. I think that one's quite nice. And so is this one. Then also the photo that we got, the color palette created from. We will add to the image just here. There we go. So I've uploaded the photos, so I'm simply going to drag it down here. And now our brand board is starting to take shape. Now I'm just going to rename the project so that it just simply says brand board. And then what we need to do now is design our main logo and a couple of logo variations as well that we can add to our brand board. Then we will have probably created our brand board and finished designing our branding for our business. So in addition to selecting the right fonts, it's important to use them consistently across all of your branding materials. This includes your website, business cards, packaging, and more. By using a consistent typography style, you can create a professional and cohesive visual identity for your brand. And there we go. So we have successfully selected our brand fonts and we have started to create our brand board as well. I hope that this video has been helpful in understanding the importance of font choice and how to create a cohesive visual identity for your brand. By using Canvas, topography tools, and font library, you can create stunning designs that accurately represent your brand's personality and values. Thank you for watching, and I'll see you in the next one. 5. Logo Design: Now we're going to design the logo for our brand so that we can add it to our brand board. And then we will create three more logo variations as well. So in order to start creating our logo using Canva, we're going to go straight back to our Canvas dashboard. From here we're going to create a logo project. Now we can do this by clicking logo just here to create a blank logo project. Or if you do not see this option, you can simply search for logo in the search box up here and then select the logo option. Now we have the option to either create a blank logo from scratch or we can use one of these many templates that are available to us. You can even filter these templates by style on the left over here. So we have modern, minimalist, simple, elegant, creative. And then we have themes, features, subjects, and so on. Or alternatively, you could just pick one you like and use it to start creating your logo. Now what I'm going to be doing is creating a logo from scratch. So I'm going to click the create a blank logo just here. And there we go. So we have now created a blank project for us to create our logo in. Now once again, we have all of these templates options on the left over here. So you can use these templates in two different ways. You could either use them to get inspiration for your logo design, or alternatively, you could use them to create a logo super quickly. So if you want to use one of these templates to create a logo, or you need to do is click onto it and then edit the text for your brand. Change the icons and the colors, and make it exactly how you want it to be. Now, I'm going to be creating a logo from scratch. Like I said, I'm going to delete this. We're going to be creating a logo for a brand called classic car innovations. So there are loads of different logo styles that I could choose, but I want to create a logo in a batch style, similar to this one here. Similar to the sorts of logos as well. More of a badge style logo than a simple text logo like this one here, e.g. now, if you need extra inspiration for your logo design, you could use a logo generator. E.g. named cheap has a good tool that you could use or you could simply Google logo design generator, then you could use a tool like this one here to generate a logo for your brand. Now you don't have to use the logo that is generated. You could even just use it for inspiration. So I'll give you an example. I'm just going to type in classic classic car innovations. Then I'll click make a logo. And we have the option to add a slogan, but I don't have one, then we could enter our industry. So I'm just going to type in car. And there aren't really any related to classic car innovation. So I'll just click on too. Car service. I think something like this could be okay, so let's click onto this and then we have color themes. I'm going to select red and gray scale. I think that'll work well together. And then for a style, we want bold and modern. Finally, we can choose whether or not we want to use icons. Now, I'm going to select with icons. And we can add key words. I think these very fine. So let's click continue. And now this logo generator is going to generate loads of logo ideas for my brand. Now I think that all of these look quite bad. Let's turn off icons to see if any of these look any better. And they still don't look very good at all, in my opinion. So what I'm going to do is show you one more logo generator tool and then we will create our logo within Canva after that. So here we are within named Jeep. You can see they have a free logo maker that takes just 5 min. I think that it's really less than that. So let's paste in our brand name and then we'll just have some options to choose from. So I'll pick the middle one. The middle one again, the one on the right. The one on the right again, and the one on the right again. And for this one, I'm going to select the middle one. Finally, we need to select a color. And I'm going to go for the reds over here, cheerful, vibrant, and happy. Now we can add a slogan, but I don't have one. And we can add icons. I'm going to type in classic car. And let's see what we have here. I think this one here looks quite good. And let's go with this one here. We have three icons we can pick. We may as well just pick this one here as well. So there we go, continue with these three icons, and now it's going to generate some logos. So let's have a look at these. I don't really like any of these, to be honest. This is probably the best one so far. However, I don't think that any of these look too good. You can also click onto the logo designs that are generated and you can customize them. So we can customize the colors. If we decide we don't like the floral color, we could click on blue, e.g. and select a blue color scheme. We can also change the text. These are all of the different texts styles, and we can add a slogan, change the icon. But I think the first one is the best and also change the layout. So we can have the icon on top, we have the text below, or we could have no icon at all. So that is the name Jeep logo Maker, which is another free tool that you can use. So now let's go back into Canva and start designing our logo. Okay, So I know that I want to create a badge style logo. So the first thing I'm going to do is go to elements and I'm going to search for a badge. Then we're going to click onto graphics. And we have loads of badge graphics that we can use for our emblem style logo. I quite like this red one here. That is quite a good shape for what we're going to be creating. And from what I can see, that is the best one that I can find. So let's add this to our design. Let's just make it quite a bit bigger. And also center it. There we go. Now we're going to want to make sure that this is using our brand colors. So I'm going to click onto it. And first of all, I'll go to the red, and I'm going to use the red color from my color palette, this one here. Then what we're going to do is click onto the white color and I'm going to use the lighter color from my color palette here as well. Now another thing I'm going to do is change the background color. And I'm going to make that the same light color as well. Because that is using my brand color palettes and I think that is the best thing for us to do. So there we go. We have our batch and we have our background color, which we can always change if we need to. Now we're going to do is add an icon that we can use to represent our brand. So I'm going to type in classic car. And we're going to click onto graphics. Now we have loads of classic car graphics that we can use for our logo. Now I'm going to click on to a few of these because I quite like a couple of them, like these two here. And let's see. I think these two are my favorites from what I can see on here. This one here is also quite nice as well. Now, I'm just going to change the colors of these two so that they are lighter. And I will leave this one exactly how it is, because I think this looks quite cool it already. Now I want to see what all three of these graphics all look like on our logo. So what we're gonna do is duplicate this page twice, so that we have three of them. And I'm going to make it so that we have a different graphic on each of these logos. Then we can just send to them and put them towards the top of the badge or emblem wherever you want to call it. And then we're gonna go ahead and add some text. Now I think I prefer this one in the middle here. So I'll start by using this one here. And we're going to go to text and add a text box. Now I'm just gonna bring this text down here. And I'm going to select everything and type in classic car. Now I want to make sure that this is uppercase. So I'm going to have this selected up here. And we're just going to make this text a bit bigger. We already know what fonts we're going to be using for our brand. And of course, that is formula bold. So once we have this text selected, I'm going to go back into the font up here. And I'm going to search for formula bold. There we go. This one just here. Now we're going to connect bold at the top up here and make the text quite a bit bigger. Now, I'm just going to change this text slightly. And what I'm going to do is click into the spacing button up here. And I'm going to slightly increase the letter spacing. There we go. I think this looks a little bit better. Then we can send to that text. Now of course we need the word innovations as well. We can duplicate this text here. And I'm simply going to write innovations. Now we already know that this is going to be too big, so we're going to select it and bring it down to around 25 and put it below the text that says classic car. There we go. Now, I'm going to change the font to formula. And I think I'm going to make the text a bit smaller again. Maybe 15. I think 18 looks good. Let's center that below the classic cortex. And now we're going to increase the letter spacing for this as well. To about 250, I think. Sounds good. There we go. So this is good, but I think we can still make some improvements. So I'm going to select the innovations texts again, and I'm going to click onto effects. I think it'll be quite good to add a curve. Now at the moment, this has automatically added a curve facing down. But I want to turn it the other way around and curve it into the classic car text. So this is like it's bringing the whole logo together. I'm going to make the text a little bit smaller. And I'm going to increase the letter spacing a bit more. I think this is looking good. I feel like there's still some improvements that we can make. I think that the curve is a bit too much, so I'm going to slightly decrease it. I think minus ten will be a bit better than -16. Let's just change that to minus ten. That's a bit better. Now we can bring that up a bit closer to the text that is above it. And of course make sure that it's centered. Then I'm going to increase the letter spacing to 650. Maybe 700. I'm just trying to keep playing around with it until it feels right to me. Because I want it to feel wanted to feel good. I want it to feel like a proper logo. And in order to do that, we wanted to keep making changes in till it feels perfect, a brand. Okay, I'm just going to select the main text again. And I'm going to make it not bold. And I'm also going to make the text a little smaller as well. I think about 30. I think I preferred it as it was actually, I'm going to bring it back to 35 and move it up slightly as well. There we go. So I think this is looking really good now. Now I don't think this animated icon is really going to work. So I'm going to delete this page and I'm just going to copy the text and bring it into this second logo design down here. Just to see if this icon looks better, which I think it might do. I'm not too sure. I quite like both of them, but these feels like more of a classic car. So let's say this is our logo. We can still make some changes, but what I'm going to do is copy all of these elements. It's quite a simple logo design, but I think it looks really good. And we're going to go back to our brand board. Now what we're going to do is paste our logo elements in up here. We can make it a bit bigger and just center it up here in the logo section. There we go. That is fantastic. In fact, before I create our free logo variations, I'm going to go back to our logo project. And I'm just going to see how this text looks with no curve at all. So there's just click on there and bring the text up below the classic car text. I think this may actually look better. Let's copy these elements again and go back to our brand board. Once again. I'm going to do is delete what we have previously paste it in here. And I'm going to bring this new logo design where we no longer have the curve on the innovations text. I think this actually looks better. So now what we're going to do is create free logo variations for our logo. So I'm going to paste our logo in here again and bring it down here. Now for our first logo variation, I'm simply going to change the badge color to color in our color palettes. There we go. I think this looks really nice. And then I'm going to duplicate all of these and center it over here. Fantastic. Now for this variation, I'm going to make the text the same color as the batch. Now you may think what am I doing? But then what I'm going to do is delete the batch. And of course we're also going to have to change the color of the car as well. There we go. Now we can make all of these a bit bigger. Fantastic. That is centered so that we have our first logo variation, second logo variation. And finally for the third logo variation, I'm simply going to just copy the text. And we'll have the third logo variation as a text-only logo. There we go. I may have to move this to the right a bit. So we have created our main logo design, and we have also created free logo variations as well. Now the first one is simply a color change for the badge in the background. The second one is without the badge and a different color for the icon and text. And the third option or variation is just a text-based logo with the classic car innovations text. So there we go. We have created our logos and we have created our brand board. Now what you'd want to do is download your brand board and also download your logo designs as well. Now you can do this by clicking, share and going to download and download it as a PNG. But for your logo design, you want to do this slightly differently. In your logo project, you will need to go to share and download. And you'll want to make sure you're using a transparent background so that you can use it as a logo on your websites. Because a logo with a massive white block behind it is not a proper logo. You could use that for your social media profiles, but not for a website logo. There we go. We have successfully designed a logo for our brand using Canva. I'm going to do is just zoom in to our brand board. And we're simply going to scroll down the brand board that we have created in all of these different sections. So Section Number one is our main logo. As you can see, this is our logo with a red badge behind it. This is a strong and sleek logo, but we also have the classic car icon at the top, just to the potential customers can see that is a strong brand that innovates, but it also focuses on classic cars. Next, we have our color palettes. This speaks for itself. It is a fantastic but simple color palette. After that, we have, are three really simple, but really engaging and sleek logo variations. We have the first one, which was simply a color change for the badge. The second one without the badge, but the text and car icon has the color change. And finally, we have the text only logo. Next we have the fonts that we have used for our branding. And I think in fact, we will need to change the colors of this texts. So I'm just going to select it all. And I'm going to use my darker brand color. There we go. That fits in with everything else. Much nicer. Finally, we have the imagery which we can use for inspiration when we create marketing materials for our brand. So there we go, that is it. We have successfully created our logo and we have successfully created our entire brand board for our brand, classic car innovations. That is all for this video. I hope you enjoyed it and hope that you learned something new. I'll see you in the next one once again, thanks and goodbye. 6. Social Media Graphics: Welcome back. In this video, I'm going to talk about creating social media graphics using Canva. So we have already used Canva to design our logo and an entire brand board. So we have our main logo color palette, logo variations, fonts, and imagery. So that is our brand board complete. However, in today's digital age, social media is a powerful tool for businesses to connect with their audiences and build their brand. That's why it's important to create a visually appealing and engage in graphics that accurately reflect your brand's personality and values. We can vote. You can easily create graphics for all of your social media platforms, including Facebook, instagram, Twitter, and more. However, in this video, we're gonna be focusing on creating a Facebook cover using Canva. You could create an Instagram post or a Facebook post, a Twitter header, anything you need using Canva and your brand board so that you have your logo color palette, fonts, and so on. However, I can't show you how to create everything in one video. So I'm going to use a Facebook cover as an example. A Facebook cover is the first thing people will see when they visit your Facebook page. So it's important to make it visually appealing and reflective of your brand. So we're going to start by creating a Facebook cover project. There we go. All I've had to do is type in Facebook cover. And then I can click onto the Facebook cava project just here. Then you can use Canvas, Facebook cover templates to quickly create a design that reflects your brand, personality and values. From there, we'll be able to customize the design with our own images, text, and color palettes. So as you can see, first of all, we can choose a template that we're going to be using. So we're simply going to have to scroll through these templates and find one that we can use for our brand. Now of course, you can create your Facebook cover from scratch without using a template. But I'm just going to be showing you the process of using a template to create your banner. Now we're going to have to take our time to find the perfect template. Okay, So I found one that I think will be quite good. I quite like this one here. Now this is for a completely different niche. So we will have to redesign it so that it fits our brand. But we have our brand board, so we can do that pretty quickly. So let's click onto this template here and click customize this template. Okay, So now that we have selected our template, we're going to have to make some changes to it so that it fits our brand and actually it looks how we want it to look. So what we're going to do now is go to the Styles section next to templates. And we could do one of two things here. We can either use the style from our color palette by clicking onto our color palette here. And it will mix and match our color palette onto our template, making it so that we're using our own colors. Or alternatively, we can click Undo and we can use the style for a recent design. So as you can see here, we have my logo and my brand board will be able to use the style that was used on my brand board. So let's click the US style button on here. Now I'm going to click this a couple of times into it. I like the way it looks. I think that they style is perfect. So now I'm going to delete this button looking thing here, and I'm going to change the font for the website address so that we're using the formula font. There we go. Then I'm going to do is delete all of these images as we're going to be adding our own. And then after that, I will change the text as well. I'm simply going to write classic car innovations. Now I may have to also make this text here, Formula boat. And I'm going to make it quite a bit bigger. And the innovations takes quite a bit smaller. I think I may also change the text that says innovations from owed to the regular font. And I'm going to continue making it a bit smaller. I think that is all neurites and then we can just reposition it. Selects both together. Make them the size we want them to be. I think just about there is perfect. And then we can go ahead. And first of all, change the color of this text. And also this text as well. Then what we can do is add our own custom images to all of these image placeholders. So let's go to elements and type in classic car, and go to photos. Then we can simply drag in some photos of classic cars into all of these different image placeholder is down here. Let's see. I think that this one here will be good. Although these images aren't gonna be too visible anyway. As they are in the corner down here. Let's go for that one. There. There we go. So that is all of that done. Now I'm going to do is add an image to these placeholders over here. However, the way I'm going to do it is have one image spanning over all of these elements. So to do that, I'm going to first of all, pick the image that I want to use. I think this one here could be a good one. That's quite a cool image. And then what we will need to do is make sure that it covers all of those elements, which it looks like that we'll do. Now we're going to have to copy this six times, five times. We have 12345. And for now, I'm going to put these others out of the way. And then I'm simply going to start with this top left one here. And I'm simply going to drag the image over the top of it. Then because we want the image spanning over all of these elements, we're going to have to double-click it and make it quite a bit bigger. And we want it to show you what is in the top left of the image. So let's just bring it right back. And there we go. So this first one, or just show the sky. For the next one, we're going to have to drag this in here. And once again, make it quite a bit bigger. And this will have the bottom left. We want to try and make it match up to what is above it. I think that is okay there for now. We can make some changes in a minute if we need to. And then I'll go for this one up here, double-click it, and make it bigger. And if that's going to be there, That's, it will be about aligned to there. And then we can slide in the next one. Once can make it bigger. And we want it to, as you can see, the car, in the bottom-left elements, we want it to overlap nicely so that it looks like this is all seamlessly one image. I think about that, it works. Then we have one more. I'm not sure where I put that other image. So let's just add it to project again. It's not that one. It's this one. And of course put it into this last one and make it bigger again. And then line it up with the other elements. There we go. That is fantastic. Now as you can see, we have that one image spanning over all of these elements over here. I quite like that effect. It doesn't take too long to do, and it looks quite cool as well. So we've basically created a Facebook cover right here. Now what you would do is use images that you have taken. E.g. if you work creating a Facebook cover for a travel blog, you would use images that you have taken while you are traveling. Now, if this is for a classic car innovations company where they renovate classic cars, they would use photos of the cars that they have renovated. Now, I don't have any cars that I've innovated, so I just have to use photos from on here. So they're not completely irrelevant. And of course, it's most important that you use images that are 100 per cent relevant to your brand. Just like if you were using Canva to create a Facebook cover up for a cafe, you would use actual photos of the food and drinks that you serve, or photos of the inside of your cafe so that people can know what to expect when they come to your cafe. However, this is just an example for you to show you how to create a basic Facebook cover using Canva. Now I'm just going to see what this will look like if the text is more centered down here, e.g. it's not too bad. And then we could also add the website URL below that or have it at the bottom, right, down here. It is completely up to you. So the final details of your Facebook banner, I've really down to the how you want it to look and feel for your brand. But this is just a quick example of how you can design a Facebook cover using Canva. If I just go back to our brand board, I could then copy our main logo along with the elements inside it and paste it into our design here. We could just have it in the corner down here somewhere just to keep the branding nice and tidy. Now where would we have it? Possibly even at the top left up here, just so that we have our branding across all of our social media designs and graphics. Like this is not in the way, but it just lets you know this is part of our brand. So we know that we've used our logo, our color palette, basically a logo variation as well. Our fonts and images as well, all in our Facebook cover. So whenever you are creating any designs for your brand using Canva, you can always have your brand board open to make sure that you are keeping your designs relevant to your brand. So there we go. By using Canvas templates and tools. We have quickly and easily created a Facebook cover for our brand. That is all for this video. I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you learned something new. I'll see you in the next one once again, thanks and goodbye. 7. Extra Branding (Business card, packaging, clothing, etc): Welcome back. In this video, we're going to talk about designing extra branding materials for your business. We'll explore how to use Canva to design things like business cards, packaging, clothing, and other materials that can help elevate your brand and make it more memorable. When it comes to creating branding materials, canva is a powerful tool that can help you to create stunning designs quickly and easily. And in this video, we'll focus on creating a business card, but the same principles can be applied on other materials as well. First of all, I'm just going to show you some of the different types of branding materials that you can create in Canva. So from your Canvas dashboard, you can go to Print Products. And you can see the different types of branding materials that you can create is going to range from things like stickers, postcards, T-shirts, hoodies, mugs, business cards. And then we have other things as well, such as gift certificates, labels, journals, posters, and much, much more as well. So you can create any of these branding materials by simply clicking onto them to create your project and then you can get started. However, like I said in this video, we're going to be focusing on business card designs. As a business card is one of the most important branding materials that you can create. It's often the first impression a potential customer has of your business. So it's important to make it unique and memorable. So let's go over to the business card project. We have business card right here. So let's click on today's. Using Canvas Business Card templates. You can quickly and easily create a design that accurately reflects your brand's personality and values. From there, you can customize the design with your own logo, color palettes, and font choices. So as you can see, we have all of these business card templates down here. We need to do is simply select the template that you want to use and then you can customize it so that is perfect for your brand. So we have some good business card templates here. I quite like this one and the one below it for the brand that I have created. Let's click on to this one here and click apply both pages. This will give us the front and back of our business card. And then we can start customizing it and adding our own branding. So now let's go back and click on two styles. And here we can speed up the process of adding our own styles to this business card design. We can either use our brand color palette here. So I can click onto this. And it will add my colors to this business card. Or alternatively, I could go to my recent designs and use these styles from my brand board. So if I click on to this, this will now change the colors and the fonts for the business card. I think this layout looks quite good. And then we have the back of the business card as well. But of course we will need to upload our own logo. So let's go back to our brand board and copy over our logo design. I've simply click control C to copy all of the elements. You can always select them and click onto these three dots and click Copy Here. It is completely up to you. And then what I'm going to do is delete this logo and paste in my own. Now of course, we need to make this quite a bit smaller and then center it in just here. Now I'm tempted to see how this looks without the badge. I think this is quite good without the badge for the business card. So let's leave that how it is just here. And then we can go to the business card information. Now we've created a classic car restoration brand, so we're going to need a different background image. So let's go over to elements and search for classic car. Of course, we need to go to photos. Then we'll need to find one with some empty space on the side, which is where we'll have our text. First of all, what we can see, how this one will look. I don't think that that will quite work. Let's just keep scrolling until we find an image that could work. This one here could possibly work. We could even blur the background image a little bit by going to adjust and then increasing the blur. And that does look quite nice, but we can have a look at some other photos as well. I think this one here could be quite good as well. On the beach. Or this one, or even this one. In fact, I really like this one. Then what I'm going to do is make all of the text bold. And of course, I'll need to change the font to formula as well. I think maybe now it shouldn't be bold because the formula font is broader than that previous one was anyway. And make sure this text is all using my font as well. Yep, that's all good. So then you'll just need to add your name and your position at the company, your contact information. We have a phone number, email address, website address, and physical address as well. Of course, if you do not want any of these specific pieces of information, you can simply click onto them and delete them just like that. Then if you want to add icons, you can send to them next to the text. And there we go. It is really that easy. You can always make this bigger as well so that it's easier to read. So you can make a business card in Canva in a matter of minutes using your brand board that you have created and using the various templates and features and tools that are available for you within Canva. Then you could print your business cards using Canva. As you can see, this is a really simple process. We can even see the mockup as well as to how this might look. Alternatively, you could download the design and use another business card printing service. So there we go. That is how you design a business card using Canva. Don't forget that you can always design your brands packaging or clothing using Canva as well, as well as many other branding materials that you may want to use for your business. So there we go, that is all for this video. I hope you've enjoyed it and learned something new from it. I'll see you in the next one once again, thanks and goodbye. 8.
