Learn About Creative Briefing: So we're going to start by the first listen, and in this listen, we will kick off with the logo design process with the client briefing. This is where it all begins. Meeting with the client to understand their vision, their target audience, and what they want their logo to represent. You will learn how to ask the right questions, listen carefully to their needs, and gather the essential details that will guide you every step of your design journey. So as you see here, it has a lot of details. Either you ask the client to provide or the client provided alone by himself to show you his vision. And you can see we have a lot of information about the vision, the target audience, like the college student and all that, we're going to have the product line features. These two lines here guys is divisions, and the targets are very important to read it very well. Here we have the product lines and the features what you want to achieve with this product and what you want product to represent. The feature, you got to learn about the competitive landscape, got to know who competitors. So you can take a look and make a research about them. The brand identity is very important also to know what they want their brand to represent, like example, quality or innovation or authenticity, the visual here where we find the color, the style, the packaging, the marketing distribution, the metric, here, the measure, the research and all the things you need to know about the decline. At the bottom, you're going to have the name and the email and the address sure. This is all the information. You need to read them very, very well. You take the important keys from this creative briefing, and then you work on that. It's very important to know our target, like you said, 25 to 240 ecology students and urban professionals. All these things are very important for you when you are brainstorming the ideas, you know which colors you're going to go with the vibration, all that you got to know before you start even brainstorming your ideas. So that's it, guys, I hope you understand a little bit about the briefing and what we should do. This is our first contact. Now we're going to go with the brainstorm. 3. Brainstorming Some Ideas: So with the clients input in hand, it's time to spark some creativity in the brainstorm lesson. Here we will dive into techniques like mind mapping and free association to generate fresh logo ideas. This step is all about exploring possibilities and coming up with the concepts that reflect the brand identity, setting the stage for everything that follows. So, as you saw, the first thing we said is a coffee drink, and then we're going to put a name here, going to add a topic which is a name, and then with the subtopic, we're going to try to imagine what the name should represent like let's say Joy for example, because when you talk about teens and you talk about students, joyful is very important because they represent you and represent a lot of these things. The second subtopic maybe could be playful. Also, this is represent for me the idea of being teenager. Dynamic is very important also. Also, I want it to be a fresh name. This is all about the name and what represents for the consumer. Okay? So try to imagine what you want your brand to tell the people who consume it. What feels the name could give them, what feels the product could give them. Now, the other topic it's color. In color, I think I may go with a two colors example. Maybe two, maybe three. But in my mind, up to now, I'm thinking of going over two colors only. But let's not write that. Not going to specify that because maybe I changed my mind later because the process of design is always like that. So the first one I chose in Big maybe orange. I don't know, maybe a color like brown, maybe. I like this combination of color. I think it's very nice and I mean, it's the color of a drink, I know. Maybe I add a little bit red later. I don't know. For now, this is what I have in my mind. Beng orange brown and yellow, maybe, okay? I'm not gonna choose red now, I'm going to choose yellow. This is just mind mapping, guys, and ideas. Later, all this can be changed. So the third topic, it's target clients. So we know already that we're going to target college students, as it says in the brief. We're going to target teens. Target, as it says, also urban professionals. This is the people we want to target. So when we design anything, we always think of these people and what they like. Put yourself like you are one of them and you are clients, and you are a teenager example, what you like to see in the market, what you like to consume? What represent you more. Now we have another topic which is division, and we wanted the product to be premiums it says in the creative brief and shut. We're going to add another topic which is the log. Let's try to think what the Lugo could be example, I know, maybe, as we say, maybe bean shapes, the beans of the coffee. Maybe cup, maybe I don't know, Ask. I think maybe also I say a circular shape. Maybe geometric shapes. Try to think what good goes with the ideas you have in mind already for the logo. I mean, because the shape is very important, the most part that communicate the brand, okay? We have some ideas now and we can start choosing the name. 4. Generate Names With Ai: Choosing a brand name can be tricky, but make it easy. In this listen, we will use the grog to do just that. I tried the grog myself, and it was a game changer for generating creative name ideas. We will learn how to feed it, key details about the brand, and shift through its suggestions to find a name that feels just right. So the first thing I asked Grock was so simple, suggest a creative fresh dynamic coffee brand names. And here I clicked on think. I wanted to use the feature thing here to make you think more about the idea before he generate them for us. That's make it more creative. So let's see what he's going to come up with. Well, so after you think it's for about 1 minute, it took a lot of time, I think, to think about the brand name ideas. But he with these names, I don't know, Brood Awaking, the coffee canvas, the beans dreams, the coffee, Kali Dlscope, gathering ground, Chipa Sabre, the Brood Muse, rice Bruise. They are not bad names, but in my head, I don't want a long name like this. I want a name made of one word. The the names are good and also he bring details about why he named them, but I want a name ID with one word. I'm going to try to tell him that. I prefer one word names. Please. I want some names very fresh, joyful, and dynamic. Just that so simple. He's thinking again. Well, I see he has some ideas already taking on word. Okay, so let's see what we have here. We have spark, ignite energy and creative prefer for re coffee vibes, zest, frozen with refreshments and enthusiasm, bliss, pure happiness in the word warm and inviting, cheer, bright and uplifting with joy, delight a name that promises joy and satisfaction, verb stylish and full of a vagarGreat for a bold coffee, Moxy. Spunky and pretty, okay, prep, playful and energetic. This prep and verb, I think both are not bad. But I don't know, it's still not what I'm thinking of. Delight also is a great name here. So I got to think more the brainstorming we did and the creative briefing when I'm thinking about the name. And I think this delight talk to me more, okay? Because it promises joys and satisfaction and that's what we need from our drinks. Let's create more names variation from these two. I'm going to say verve and delight. Okay, let him think, let him think, let him think. Okay. Back to us with some names. We have variations of Delights. DeLa that's VY Glow Joy, Happivo Last light. Delia, talk to me, I think the most one, but let's see more about the other ones. Vigora, Stylista, bro, vivas, Seger, another verb makes it verb with delight. So let's see Jooljo light. Now we're going to need the tagline. 5. Generate A Tagline: So now we're going to keep on with the tag line, guys. A tag line brings the brand to life, and AI can help craft one that sticks. In this lesson, again, we're going to use the grog. I loved it for these two to create a catch tag line. I will show you how to input the brand sense into grog and pick the best option from its output, giving it the logo, a voice that resonate. So we ask the grog to suggest a tag line. This coffee drink, named DL. Okay, we don't need to add all these. So let's see what he's going to come up with. After thinking for a while, for a little bit, I speed up the process. So What we're going to do now, we're going to try some tools to generate a logo and see which one works for us. 6. Working With Look Ai: Exploring AI tools is a big part of this process. So in this listen, we'll check out the first tools with his Look II. Let's give it a shot. So as you see here, we are in the website of LII. And we're going to first thing do is pick your industry. So now we're going to choose the company name, which is Dasure and also we're going to add the slogon which is Sip the good vibes. It sends a long slogan, may be hard to read. I think I'm going to ignore that. Choosing simple types here, maybe choose a cup, maybe choose a drink, creativity, I don't know. Coffee excellence. I don't have more option here, but let's try. Now, generating logos. Okay, so here we have our first logo. As you see, no, I don't see any creativity in these logos because I know it's like a cup and I don't know, yeah, represent the coffee. This is not what we're looking for, guys. So I don't know. I see some little things, some little details may be modern and fresh, but not yet, anything that attract me. So we keep scrolling more logos and see where here, we have something with golden, we had something with teal, we had with green, orange, no. Let's try generating more logos. I don't think we're going to go with the golden, even though the golden always represent the premium ideas. But no, this is not what I'm looking for, because as we said, something joyful, something playful. You see here also still nothing interesting by now. Something like about mountain or I don't know what. Let's keep generating more. Maybe we get something interesting. So I keep scrolling up and down. I see a lot of things with golden, but not interesting for me now. Also, things with caps. So I think maybe this one in black. Let's give it a try. It's not what I'm looking for, but let's give it a try. As you see here, it showed to you on a business card and website and all that. So you can see how it's going to look already. Experiment With Logo Ai: So next up is Logo AI. I know the AI tools, this is for logo design. I'm not a huge fan of this one, but let's give it a try. So as always, guys, we're going to start with the name of our brand, which is DeLa then we're sure we're going to put this slogan, which is sip the good vibes. Okay? Now we're going to continue. Now we're going to choose the industry as usual. So let's see what category goes with us here if it is exit already. I don't know. The only one I see is restaurant. Now we're going to choose the color palette. As you see here, guys, I'm not sticking what we already brainstorming, but maybe little things similar. I'm trying to generate more ideas and the colors. If I found something nice, like the one I'm looking for, I may change the color later with the redesigning of the logo. Now I chosen what font we like, like modern and all that. And then we wait the generating of the logos. This website also, guys, it's a premium, and you should subscribe in one of their plan, so you can download any of the logos they're going to generate for you. I'm here just to get some Ds in these ones. I'm not going to use the exact logos they generated for me. I'm just looking for some ideas. Here I see little things more interesting maybe than the first one. I don't know, let's try generate and see I see something look like circular. Up to now, there is no quite what I'm looking for, guys. Just keep scrolling up and down and thinking of the vision I have and the vision of the client and trying to see something may match that. Either you can see here a lot of a nice logos or whatever, but it's very important to generate what your client looking for, what is being delivered to you in the creative brief. So as you see here, we still seeing some shape they play with the word D and some geometric shapes. This one example, it looked a little bit like a leaf or a beam. Guys, here, as you see, if you select it, you can edit it with this website. You can change the font, you can change the layout, the symbol, the color, whatever you like, okay? But as you see here, I generated some other ideas on the side also. It's not bad, but also it's not what I'm looking for, guys. I'm not looking for something very, very simple now. I want something may teenager, okay? I want something childish. I don't know if I can say childish, but it's teen. It's like, for college students, okay, guys? We are not designing for metre people or for, I don't know, people at the age of 30s, 35 or As you see here, guys, also, you can choose your logo and they give you choice to animate it, and then you buy it. Okay? But as you saw, this is not what I'm looking for. I wasn't a huge fan of this one either. It didn't fully delivered what I needed, but just walk you through its feature while trying out different tools help you figure out what really work for you. So we're going to keep pon with another tool. 8. Working With Wix Ai: So weeks AI is the next step. Let's give it a try. We're going to choose Create Logo. Here I tell you you can start a shot or Kret without a shirt. So I'm going to try quit without a ****. It's more specific. So the first thing, as always, we're going to choose is the business. So we're going to say that we have a drink distributor. Okay? This is much our category. The font icons and colors we're going to choose now fresh, dynamic. Okay, fun. Then next. So here we're going to put the name of our business which is diletta then the tag line, sip the good vibes. Now, let's see what it's going to come up with. Is generating already. Okay. This is work other way. Here on the side, we have all the generations he made for us. I don't know. I don't see anything can talk to me and can represent the brand we are creating. So let's see here we have I see only just very simple things with some different kind of fonts. It could work for any other project, guys, but it's not working for what we are trying to do right now. I may find something interest us, but Up to now, I don't see anything. Maybe this one, it has circular pattern in the background, and that's maybe maybe look like the beans of the coffee, but it's not what I'm looking for. I'm sure I'm not going to use this. I'm just trying to collect some ideas. So here, if you choose customize, you can go and customize your logo. Also, it's the same. It's also a premium subscription website, guys. So if you want to choose their logos and use them, you got to pay for their designs. If not, you can't use them, okay? Here I can change the color palette as you see, maybe something get more interesting. But anyway, I don't think you try ideas, guys. This is like a brainstorming and collecting things and all, and then you gather all and you try to make the one you need to do. Here you see very nice of color palette. Experiment With Canva Ai: So now we got something very, very different, which is KanvaII. Everyone knows KanvaIs a website for graphic design where you can make edition online and all that, okay? So we're going to try one of their tools, which is for creating Logos. I will guide you throw how to use this to generate some interesting logos. You can use this tool for free, but it gives you a limited number of generations, okay? And if you want to use more, you got to subscribe, okay? So here, this doesn't work like the other ones with the choosing categories and names and all that. Here you just work with hat, okay? So I'm going to say generate a vector logo of a coffee drink, brand called Delia. I want it fun, dynamic and joyful. What I can add more to my prompt. Let's say I may keep it like this or may say add also a tag line says sip the good vibes. Okay, now let's generate and see as you see, guys, there, I'm using it for free, and it says I have only 18 generations still. Oh, this is very interesting, guys, okay? I see. As you see, we have many ones. Now I go to Document Setup and I create another board. So here we're going to put all the ones we're going to choose. So here we're going to choose the ones we're going to work with. Let's see. We're going to look for the things that work more for us. In the brainstorm and file, here we have guys what we are looking for, and that's the map we're going to follow to choose our logos, okay? I put it on the side, so make it like a guide to put in mind before I choose the logos, okay? So let's start choosing logos. First, as you said in the brainstorming, we need something circular. And as you see, we have four or five circular design. That's could match our vision. So I'm going to put the brainstorming here. I'm going to lay out it here. Okay. You see, guys, I always like to put everything organized because later I can show to my client all the process I've gone through because sometimes your client choose something you may provide it by the last result, but something it was not in your head, okay, Guy? You saw it in your PDF lookbook, I chosen right now here, guys, four logos, two circulars and two simples, and the rest, I'm going to lay out them at the beginning of the page. So the client can see from where I start and where it end, okay? Using these four to work with, but my client could say, I want to work with the black one or maybe the one with two beings, the green and red. You don't know guys, okay? So it's better you keep everything organized and show your client all from where you start and where it ends. I'm going to create another artboard. From now we choosing only four, but from these four, we're going to choose only two. Okay? So We have different kind of color, different kind of shapes. I think the four of them, they could work for what we need, but we need to mix things in our head and try to come up with something more nice. This has splash and beans, and this is have only a circular shape. The other has nice font, and the other has nice, I don't know, beans design. So the four has something special in each one of them, but I don't want to work with the four. You can blend the four logos and come up with something unique. I don't know. I'm just going to choose only two of these. I don't want the four, so I may choose one circular and one simple, okay? So By the end, I chosen these two. So I'm going to try to modify these two and see what can come up. Okay? So first, I'm going to lay out them both at the bottom here before I start anything. But I think we are about to find something interesting, okay? So let's arrange them on the document, okay, guys? I'm going to put one on the bottom and one on the top. This is how you organize your work. Another thing I'm going to do, I may create small squares and put the color palette of these two logos, okay? So with the eye drop, I'm going to choose the colors, select and then choose Select and then choose the eye drop, select. Choose this one. We have many interesting colors. Some of them they were not in our brainstorming ideas. See, as I told you guys, brainstorming was just to make it as a guide, but always in the process, you can change your mind if you find more interesting ideas. Now, the next step, we're going to go and try and blend these two logos and try to find something interesting. 11. Mixing The Ai Logos: So modifying the logo, sometimes one logo it's not enough to work with. So you may mix many logos and try to come up with something new. This is you do it when you are working with AI. I always do this if I try to use AI in my work. So we're going to try do something with Photoshop. We're going to learn about blending, cut and shapes, I don't know, we'll learn to combine and tweak it, smving background and all that. So let's get started. So as you see here, we open Photoshop, and we put the two logos on a board, and then we're going to try to modify them, okay? Let's put them next to each other. I think I want to move the background or this circular logo. So here we have is also AI tool for removing background. Okay. I did work. It's not wet. So let's try to move it around and put it over the other one and see if we can find something. Okay, let's slide it out here. No, I don't see anything interesting by now. So we're going to try first, we need to seize the layer if we want to cut some shapes, okay? If it is steel smart object, we will not be able to edit it. Okay. We just erased it some element we didn't like. We blend the two logos together. We found something a little bit interesting as a start, and now we're going to go to illustrator and start the process of redesigning our logo from the scratch. Okay? So on the next less. 12. Redesigning Logo From The Scratch: Okay, now we're going to start the most important process in our design, and we're going to start redesigning the logo from the scratch in Illustrator. So the first thing you see here, guys, you choose any board, and I put the logo that we modified over the board, then in the transparency, I'm going to make it a low opacity. Now I'm going to select the circular shape. I try to create a circle. No, I lay the circle over. So I lay out circle here, try to make it bigger. I may change the logo design. I will not go exactly as what we had before. So now with a pen tool, I'm going to create a line to cut the circle in the middle. Okay. So as you see here now going to make the stroke bigger. Okay, go to make it more bigger stroke, like maybe five, six. I want to give it a color first. As you see, the brain storming and all we did before was just a guide to gather the ideas. But at the end, we can always change our idea if we see something more interesting than what we were thinking about. Now I will select the circle and the line, and then I'm going to go to the Pathfinder and click on Divide. Then I'm going to group, then I have the divided shape. So now I want to let the gap between the both shapes. And I'm going to try to draw a circular line on the top of the Pentool sure. At the beginning of the process, I'm going to try to copy the shapes that I have in the logo that we blended. Okay? Now, as you can see, I have a new shapes. Now I'm going to get rid of the half of the other circle and I let only the line I created on the top. I'm trying to find the harmony between both shapes, guys. So I may I don't know, change something later. I don't know yet. I'm just trying different things and I see what it goes for me. I think I need to cut a little bit from this new line I created. So I may use the same method we did before with Divide. I'm going to create two lines, one on the edge from here and on the other on the edge from there, and then select all and create divide. Okay, Pathfinder doesn't divide three lines, so I need to fill the first line, and then I create another two line on the edges. So as you see here with the Pentl, I created two lines, then select all and go to the Pathfinder and click Divide. The same way we did before and group and then get rid of the shapes that we don't need. Okay, now I'm going to make the field empty. Then I'm going to select the edges and delete. Okay. I'm going to use other select two. I'll select this point, delete. Then I'm going to select this point and delete. And there it is. Our shape is smaller now. Try to follow the guide, not necessarily with the detail, but just as a guide, guys. My change the color to brown. Okay? I try also to lay out the circle at its place, arrange everything as in the blending logo. Now, guys, I hold out and I drag the shape to create new lines because what I'm going to try to do is create in a path where I use it for the text. Okay? So as you see here, I'm going to try to make it bigger because I'm thinking of making a curved text, following this path. Okay. You see here we changed the idea. The blended logo, we had a text, going straight. Now I'm trying to make something curve. Let's write the font I'm using right now, I will let it for you in the source of this class. So you can use it if you want, but it's not for commercial use, just for a personal project. Now, I try to arrange it at the top. And then make it bigger. Pull the line. I'll make all the text appear. Then drag it here. Okay. Now, let's pull it down. Okay. Okay. Okay, need to change the color to brown. Okay, done. Now with the Pentool, I'm going to try to create the shapes that look similar to a splash. H Okay. I'm changing between the two penols here. The one for the straight line and the other for the curved line. Try to change the color, but I don't know why it's not working. I'm going to see later. But by now, I will try to create the shapes first. Now I'm trying to create another shape smaller. I'm not necessarily following the exact design we blended in Photoshop. I'm experiment and try to find something much better. Now, at the bottom, I'm going to create another pad for another text, which is the sip the good vibes. So the Pentool created carved line. Now, I'm going to use it for the text. Now here I'm going to try to change the phone to something thinner and more modern. So we sip the good vibes, put it in upper case and make it smaller. I think I like what we achieved by now. I may change more things, but let's see. Okay. Okay. I get rid of the modified logo created because I think I don't need it anymore. Now, all the things I'm going to do later, it's going to be improvised. Okay? So I create another path at the top because I want to add another text says since 2025 example. The drug all along the curve. Then now lay it on the top. Change a little bit. Okay? Okay. Now I see more interesting results. The bottom circle, it doesn't appear because the color is very white, so I need to change the color to something like beige. Okay, I'm going to use the color guide for this. Okay, so I'll select the shaves. Let's try to lay out. Now here I'm laying the shapes of coffee beans. I just download it from the Internet and use it in my design. I will let it for you in the source of the class els. So I copied the same design and try to make it smaller. At so? You can create the coffee beans by yourself, but I want it to go so faster, so I just downloaded this shape. I like it from the Internet. Free to use, no problem. Okay. So I keep on laying over the name and see how it's going to look. So laying here and there. It's up to you if you don't want to redesign your logo or wherever. You can use even the logo that generated from KanvI because some of them was not bad. It can be used. They just need a little bit of a cleaning and you can use them. No problem. But for me, I like to have something more cleaner. I wanted to use AI just for gathering ideas and then blending them together and then come up with a new design from all I generated. Here I'm going to use the swatch color and picking the colors for the logo. I end up by picking those kind of colors because I thought they are very beautiful together. Okay. We reach it something nice. Let's see I don't know. Trying to tweak the text at the top. Okay? Now I'm thinking of changing the top design on the curved line, maybe I do something else because I feel like it's so empty at the top. Let me first make a background. So I'm going to bring one of the design that generated and choose the color from there. Okay. Okay. I'm going to make the color I think more. Yes, I think this is better. The way I use the swatch color is that I start from a basic color. I select the shape that it has that color, and then the swatch color in Illustrator, give you degrees of that color, okay? So then you can choose one of them. Now I'm going to zoom in and zoom out. That's the way I like to see the logo from far, how it's going to look. Okay, so I decided to copy the bottom half of the circle and put other one on the top. Okay. Hey, look nice. I think it's look better for me. Try to lay it out there and see what we're going to have. I'm going to get rid of the line. I think I like this way much better. Okay. Let's keep tweaking. Let's keep tweaking the text. Okay, I'm moving here and there. I will make it smaller. I thought it was very big. So I'm going to put a try here at the top. I think this is better. You can add even more text, but I'm going to let only since 2025, but you can make another text all around the curve. Try playing with the colors. Let's see. Maybe empty fill. I think what I have by now is satisfying for me. Okay. I can imagine the logo over the cup of coffee, and I think it's gonna look very nice. Okay, I'll keep tweaking and see. Okay. The result is good for me. I think we achieved something very nice from a creative briefing to complete design logo in Illustrator. That's why guys I told you it's very important to understand the theories and all about graphic design before you use even the AI tools because the AI tools can level up your work, but it's not going to be the basic of it, okay? So I will keep tell you to learn and learn and update yourself with the tools and the principles and the trains and all that. Okay, guys. Class Project: For the course project, I would like you to design a unique logo using an AI tool like no Mid journey, Dali E, or goiI, Wix AI, Canva AI, choose anyone you like or from the ones we covered and start by imagining a fictional small business. Think of its name and history and vibe like a cozy coffee shop or a bol tech startup, then craft a clear text prompt for the AI. Incorporating specific details like style, minimalist, vintage, or whatever, colors and key elements like percol lines, anything you like, Okay, then generate three logos, pick your favorite, and then refine it. Guys, as we did, you can refine with Photoshop only, or you can redesign it from the beginning as we did in Illustrator. Upload your logo and a short explanation of your process to the project gallery so we can see how you brought your vision to life with AI. Thank you. 14. Final Thoughts: So finally, we got the logo. Now, let's wrap. In this lesson, we'll cover saving your file as PDF, making sure it's ready to shine. Okay? So let's get started by organizing more our work, and I'm going to make another document setup. So choose go to File. We're going to choose document setup, Edit Artboard, and then we create another artboard, okay? Now, with the clicking Holding out, you can push to create another artboard.
