At Skillshare, we’re all about taking on new adventures. We love learning new skills, working with new teachers, and trying new tools. New partnerships? That’s right up our alley, too.

That’s why we are so excited to announce that we’ve teamed up with Adobe, the global leader in creative software, to bring our community an inside-look at Adobe Fresco, the brand-new app that promises to revolutionize the digital painting and drawing experience. Working with Adobe, we gave five incredible illustrators early access to the app and then collaborated with them to create five in-depth classes for students who want to learn to use the new tool, too.

On October 1st, Skillshare will launch all five classes: Creative Digital Illustration with Lisk Feng, Illustrative Typography with Jennet Liaw, Other Worlds with Ira Marcks, Illustration Practice with Dylan Mierzwinski, and Abstract Art with Rich Armstrong. Each class will provide students with a different deep-dive into the app, and demonstrate how students can use its impressive brush collection, Photoshop integration, modern selection and masking process, and so much more to create the art of their dreams. Each class will also include prompts and a project gallery so that students can actively follow along, using Fresco to create and share their student projects as they learn.

“Skillshare is an important community and destination for creatives who want to learn and evolve their craft, which makes it a natural platform to showcase Adobe Fresco,” said Bryan O’Neil Hughes, Director of Product Management, Creative Cloud at Adobe. “The Fresco tutorials on Skillshare are fun and engaging and will help creatives at all levels strengthen their digital artwork skills. We can’t wait to see what they produce.”

“Adobe’s suite of products are extremely popular on Skillshare, so we jumped at the chance to bring our community behind the scenes,” said Alyssa Demirjian, Head of Brand & Content at Skillshare. “Whether you’re just getting started in digital illustration, or you’re looking for new styles and techniques, these classes featuring Adobe Fresco are the perfect place to explore what’s possible with digital brushes—and create amazing work of your own.”
