Milestone 1: Social media star, writer, and comedian Matt Bellassai shares strategies and prompts for writing, video, Twitter, and more in Creating for the Viral Internet: Write, Film & Make Content That People Share. Twelve entertaining lessons emphasize an insightful balance between creating better content and getting bigger reach, and you'll gain a deep understanding of the two pillars that make a real difference. Along the way, you'll complete a series of quick creative exercises to lay the groundwork for your own piece of written or short video content that you'll share in the class's project gallery by January 16th.
Milestone 2: Next up, we’ll explore how to leverage social media the right way with designer and entrepreneur Cat Coquillette’s class Social Media Marketing: Top Tips for Growing Your Followers & Going Viral. Cat shares the social media principles that helped her turn her illustration hobby into a full-blown career — from crafting a profile, generating engagement, analyzing metrics, and more. You’ll complete the class by January 25th.
Milestone 3: Lastly, Olympian and social media star Lolo Jones reveals the secrets to her Instagram success in Social Media Stardom: Making the Most of Instagram. In this 35-minute class, Lolo Jones gets real about how she's grown an authentic Instagram community of 400K followers and counting—and shares tips, tricks, and secrets so you can do the same. You’ll build up your own profile and share a link in the project description by February 4th.
