I don't know how to switch the order of projects, so I'll just point out that the dancer in yellow was the project I did for this class. More about the girl and dog below.I have to admit right up front that I tried to follow the directions exactly, but as is usually the case, I wandered off and started experimenting. This is based - loosely - on a black and white photograph in a dance magazine. Thee shadows need a lot of work. The high and low lights were a struggle. And I'm always trying to find a better way to do hair. I have been working on a series of illustrations of people with their dogs. This one is by far the brightest and the least detailed (in terms of shadows, etc) but it is one of my favorites. I have maybe 34 illustrations that are mostly finished.
