A couple of weeks ago I was walking downtown when a guy yelled "Hey Sensible woman with pensive expression" so this is me. However instead of my normal "sensible navy blue" I have substituted a red dress. 

This was my sketch with some scribbled notes and a fashion picture from the Financial Times for inspiration and encouragement.

And here is the finished portrait.  I really enjoyed this class and hope to do more self portraits.

Note  - after I did this I visited Salem, Mass, scene of the witch trials and many of the town's visitors and inhabitants were walking around in costume so next up: A Halloween portrait.
