My attempts to make brushes, the repeat doesn't add space. I tried adding a space bar before and after but it's not recognized

My second "yes" group was supposed to be different colors like the one you demonstrated, it only uses the color choice in the program. 

Thank you for your class for creating brushes. What changes can I make to add spacing for repeat and how to make the color design remain in the colors I created it with. Thank you
