This piece started with a Gelli plate failure for the background. The paper tore in a couple spots, but it had a lovely vintage, weathered look. The original was very saturated with navy blue being the main color. I brought a photo of it into Procreate where I softened the harsh torn paper edges and reduced the opacity.
