Hi Jamela! Wow this is awesome!! What a fantastic project submission, I love seeing your process and how this developed through the different phases. I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed working on the background art, and I hope I've converted you from character design to environments .... haha! I love the painterly feeling you've created in this piece the style is wonderful. As a background for animation this is perfect, it tells a story, and sets eh scene and there is space for the action and the journey. One very small point I would suggest is that you could make the two trees on the left side of the picture much bigger. I feel that if you compare them to the fence along the round, it seems like they are on the same horizontal plane as those stumps, and even the same horizontal plane as the character - so you could easily scale them up. I think that would make a really strong composition if you did that. I would scale them up so that they are nearly as high as the level of the castle- that might sound way too high, but try it and see, I think ti would work. Apart from that, this is excellent! Thank you for your feedback! &lt;3 I admit I felt unsure when I drew the leftmost trees and thought it would mess up the composition. I will indeed experiment with sizing them up, thank you!

Wanted to try a more medieval/fantasy setting. I'm more used to drawing characters so I had a lot of fun learning how to conceptualize a background!
