I enjoyed you class, and wanted to attempt my own scene after watching this class.  I was trying to use the differences between the warm colors and the blues or grays.  In the end I really struggled with not staying loose enough to deal with all the loose branches and trees.  You make it look so easy.  This was great practice and I do feel like I was successful in keeping the foreground colors stronger.  Just not happy with all those twigs, and my creek bed isn't easily defined, lol.  Thank you for explaining about the use of color for snow (I need to embrace the brighter blues on my next attempt).
