I wanted to do something a little playful and cheeky while showing a little history. So I decided to create a badge based on my hometown (Chicago) and how it used to be the biggest meatpacking center from the Civil War until the 1920s. I incorporated elements of the city's flag on the 3rd design like the stars and colors while also adding the year of my birth (1982):

I also created another set without any shapes and added the Chicago flag while changing the butcher knives a little:
