Create a Custom Character Font in Adobe Photoshop - A Graphic Design for Lunch™ Class

Mary, I got to thinking about your font character and I was curious. So, I took a screenshot of the tiger and I took it into Photoshop. I enlarged it to around 1000 x 1000 px in size. I made it black and white using a Threshold adjustment then I copied and pasted it into my template and uploaded it. It worked just fine as a character in a font in fact it blew my mind as to how good the result was.  Would you like to try again and see if you can improve your result.  I'm emailing you a screenshot of how it looks - for some reason Skillshare is returning an error when I try to upload the image.

Helen you are the most amazing person!  Yes, I will give it a try.  It may take me a few days, I have had a slight set back after surgery and am confined to bed for a few days, but I wanted to thank you so much for the help.I received the email. thanks again.

I hope you get back on your feet really soon Mary, I'll be sending healing thoughts your way. The fonts aren't going anywhere so it will be there and ready for you when you feel fit and ready to tackle them again. 

Great work on the handwriting font Mary. I think the clip art is just too complex for this particular application to recognize. It works best with simpler shapes - perhaps give it a try with something more simple? As you can see I didn't get the result I wanted from the clip art that I inserted in the font. &nbsp;However, the writing worked great. &nbsp;I added the clip art image here so you can see what I intended it to be. &nbsp;This was fun and very easy to do.
