I tried this again with a big Mop Brush and a lighter hand - I just tried to let the brush do the work. It came out better!

Beautiful colour – it seems you've managed to mix a very good paint solution – very precious.I have two guesses as to why the stripes appeared:Pauses between painting each stripe.Paper quality (most likely) – I’ve come across paper that absorbs pigment extremely fast. Try painting the same on another type of watercolour paper.If you wish, send me a photo of the paper you’re painting on—maybe I could recognise it.
