I got all the materials to make my flat lay backdrop from Lowe's and did it outside in my backyard.

Introducing texture is harder than it looks. I had to re smooth it over a few times. I also had to move from my backyard to my shed because the sun got a little intense.

 

Here's my flatlay board once I finished it. I love it for photographing my scrunchies and my watercolor paintings!
