Marie Noelle, this was a wonderful class! Grateful that Skillshare provided it, as I missed the live presentation. 

I gravitate towards watercolor pieces- careful, deliberate washes and pre-planned shapes. So I gave myself the challenge to rely solely on mark-making. I also used a tip from another of your classes (I think it was you - restrain the color palette to increase creativity!). When I was doodling I felt my creativity soaring - so fun! so free! so many discoveries (who knew regular pencil and pastel could be so delicious together)! 

 

I'll admit when I got to creating the creatures I felt those familiar feelings of worry/fear/lack of play creep back in. However, I still created a few delightful creatures that I was proud to share.  Thank you SO much for sharing your creativity (and philosophy) with your students.
